Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using problem-based student worksheets taught through google classroom on Plant Physiology material. This research is an experimental study (pre-experimental) with a one group pretest posttest design. The subjects of this study were students of Biology Education, semester VI as many as 19 students. The research instrument was in the form of student learning outcomes tests. Data collection techniques were carried out by tests, observations and documentation. The data analysis technique used paired t-test. The results showed that there was a significant effect of using problem-based student worksheets through google classroom on student learning outcomes on plant physiology material.

Abstract

One of the efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the educational environment, the Ministry of Education and Culture, responded with a "study from home" policy. The purpose of this study was to determine students' perceptions of the use of WhatsApp and Google Classroom media in online learning for Biology students at Cokroaminoto University, Palopo. With this appeal, the learning process for biology education at Cokroaminoto Palopo University is carried out from home by utilizing technology and internet media. This research was conducted using a descriptive survey research method. The sample in this study was 27 students as respondents consisting of 2 classes, namely grades 6A and 6B. The collection of lecturers' perception data is carried out through the provision of questionnaires (questionnaires), through a google form to lecturers who have carried out online learning. The results of the study indicate that the most widely controlled learning media and facilitate students in online learning is whatsaap media.

Abstract

This study aims to determine student perceptions of practicum at home during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Plant Physiology Course. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The sample in this study were students of the 2018 Biology Education Study Program who programmed the Plant Physiology Course as many as 22 people. Samples were taken using simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques were carried out by filling out questionnaires through Google Forms and interviews with several students to find out the obstacles in online practicum (at home). The results showed that students' perceptions of online practicum (at home) during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Plant Physiology Course overall obtained 63.10% results in the poor category. The main obstacles faced by students are the availability of tools and materials, the form of the lecturer's explanation regarding the practicum procedure is still not optimal, the instability of the internet network, limited quota, the influence of gadged quality, and students do not read the theory that is in line with the practicum material so they do not understand the purpose of the practicum.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the cooperative learning model type accelerated instruction integrated with sticky board learning media on student learning outcomes in class XI IPA SMAN 2 Luwu Utara class movement system material. The type of research was experimental research, using a quasi-experimental method, and the form of the research design was non-equivalent control group design. The instruments used in this study were learning outcomes tests, and learning implementation questionnaires. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The results of learning biology based on descriptive analysis obtained an average posttest score of 88.25 for the experimental class with a very high category, and the posttest results for the control class with an average value of 81.64 with a high category. The results of the inferential analysis using the ANAKOVA test obtained a significant value of 0.003 <0.05, it can be concluded that there is an effect of learning outcomes using the team accelerated instruction cooperative learning model integrated with sticky board learning media.

Abstract

Flavonoids in plate glass leaves (Gardenia jasminoides J. Ellis) can inhibit the cyclooxygenase enzyme, especially cyclooxygenase-2, which plays a role in prostaglandin biosynthesis so that the process of fever is inhibited. In addition, flavonoids and paracetamol have a similar structure. The aim of this research was to test the syrup extract of G. jasminoides leaves to have antipyretic effectiveness against male mice (Mus musculus) induced by DPT vaccine. The research method used was experimental research. The research stages were plant determination, the manufacture of G. jasminoides leaf extract using the maceration method with 96% ethanol solvent, phytochemical screening, syrup formulation with the active substance of G. jasminoides leaf extract and additives in the form of saccharose, citric acid, grape essence, propylene glycol and distilled water. Antipyretic testing was carried out in vivo, namely the male mice were measured at the initial oral temperature, then injected intramuscularly with the DPT HB vaccine in the thigh, two hours after experiencing optimum fever (above normal temperature), then each group was treated with oral method, namely negative control (syrup basis), positive control (paracetamol syrup), ethanol extract syrup from G. jasminoides leaves dose 1; 3 and 5 mg / 20gBW. The results showed that extract G. jasminoides could be formulated into syrup preparations with good physical quality in terms of organoleptic, density, volume transferred and pH. The dose of G. jasminoides leaf extract syrup 5 mg/20Gbb was the most effective dose as an antipyretic in male mice induced with DPT vaccine with a total temperature reduction of 2oC. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the process of handling humpback grouper eggs (Cromileptes altivelis) at BBRBLPP Gondol Bali. The data collection method was carried out by means of observation, active participation and direct interviews. The process of handling humpback grouper eggs includes the process of handling initial eggs, egg selection, egg counting and egg observation. The initial handling of humpback grouper eggs begins with harvesting eggs which are carried out in the morning in an egg storage tank that has an egg collector installed. Egg selection is done to separate eggs of good quality and not good. Good quality eggs will float on the surface, are round, transparent and have a core. Quality eggs will not sink to the bottom and are milky white. The egg-calculation technique uses the manual method with the help of a petri dish and a 20 ml glass beaker. The results of the calculation of eggs obtained in one spawning of humpback grouper produced around 670,000 eggs for one broodstock pond of humpback grouper. Eggs using a 40x magnification microscope. The fertilized egg has a transverse line between the nucleus of the egg which is a developing embryo. The unfertilized egg does not have a transverse line which indicates the egg does not have an embryo.

Abstract

Kurangnya penggunaan sumber belajar yang inovatif merupakan salah satu penyebab kejenuhan dalam proses pembelajaran yang berdampak buruk pada motivasi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sumber belajar bernama e-ensiklopedia pada materi sistem gerak sebagai sumber belajar untuk kelas XI SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang menggunakan model ADDIE. Uji validitas sumber daya dan materi pembelajaran didasarkan pada hasil dua validator ahli dan uji kepraktisan didasarkan pada respons guru dan siswa tentang penggunaan sumber daya pembelajaran. Kemudian, sumber belajar ini diimplementasikan di kelas XI SMAN 6 Maros MIPA 1 dengan subjek penelitian adalah dua guru biologi dan 20 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kelayakan sumber belajar dengan skor rata-rata 4,50 berada dalam kategori valid. Hasil uji coba lapangan pada respon guru yaitu 89,3 % dan siswa memperoleh 82, 08 %, keduanya dalam kategori respon positif yang dinyatakan praktis. Sumber belajar e-ensiklopedia ini dinyatakan valid dan praktis, tetapi bagaimanapun masih perlu untuk menguji keefektifan untuk mengukur motivasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to identify online learning activities where students can access learning as an effort to support government programs, namely study from home during the Covid 19 pandemic and student responses to learning media used during online learning. The research method in this research is descriptive quantitative research. The population of this study were students of class XI MIPA in SMA Biringkanayya District, Makassar City, namely SMAN 22 Makassar, SMAN 18 Makassar and SMAN 15 Makassar as many as 595 students. The sample in this study were students of class XI MIPA 3 each in SMA Biringkanayya District, Makassar City. The research instrument in this study is a questionnaire in the form of a Google form. Research data obtained by distributing questionnaires in the form of Google forms, and interviews. Based on the results of the study, that online media learning has four indicators, namely understanding the material online, learning time, being able to focus attention, and enthusiasm in participating in effective lessons during the Covid 19 pandemic in Biology subjects at SMA Biringkanayya District, Makassar City. The most effective online learning media used during online learning during the Covid 19 pandemic in Biology subjects at Biringkanayya High School Makassar City are SMAN 22 Makassar using Google Classroom, SMAN 18 Makassar Zoom Meeting and SMAN 15 Makassar Google Classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a biotechnology module based on local potential Cocos nucifera that meets the criteria of being valid, practical and effective. This research includes research and development (Research and Development). This study uses the ADDIE development model with 5 stages, namely analysis (analysis), design (design), development (development), implementation (implementation) and evaluation (evaluation). The subjects in this study were students in class XII of SMA Negeri 1 Sei.Balai with a total of 34 students. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire to see the validity and practicality of the learning media in the form of a module, while the test of student learning outcomes was in the form of pre-test and post-test to see the level of effectiveness of the developed module. The results of this study indicate that the validity level of the media expert validator is 85% and the validity level of the material expert validator is 88% with a very valid category. The practicality level of the learning module based on the biology teacher's response questionnaire is 97% and the practicality level based on the student response questionnaire is 91% with a very practical category. As for the effectiveness level based on the classical completeness of students at the pre-test stage of 19% with a very poor category, but at the post-test stage an increase of 85% with a good category, then the module based on local potential Cocos nucifera in this biotechnology material can said to be effective.

Abstract

E-Modul adalah suatu media pembelajaran dengan menggunakan komputer yang menampilkan teks, gambar, grafik, audio, animasi dan video dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kolaboratif peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran, juga untuk mengetahui tingkat keefektifan penggunaan E-modul dalam kemampuan penguasaan materi dan kolaboratif peserta didik pada pembelajaran biologi materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup kelas X. E-modul yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah berbasis anyflip yang diharapkan efektif digunakan oleh peserta didik untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kolaboratifnya. Untuk menguji efektifitas tersebut dilakukan penelitian pada siswa kelas X Mipa 3 SMAN 9 Makassar menggunakan e-modul yang dapat dilihat keefektifannya melalui proses belajar peserta didik di mana didalam e-modul terdapat lembar kerja peserta didik yang berisi soal soal yang akan didiskusikan oleh peserta didik kelas X, dapat dilihat melalui lembar kerja peserta didik ini, para siswa menjadi lebih aktif dalam melakukan diskusi dengan teman kelompoknya masing-masing, Artinya penggunaan e-modul berbasis anyflip pada pembelajaran Biologi SMA kelas X materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup mampu meningkatkan kemampuan kolaboratif peserta didik di kelas X MIPA 3 SMAN 9 Makassar.
