Abstract

Online and offline learning emerged as a form of learning pattern in the era of information technology as it is today. Based on the results of interviews conducted with Biology teachers at SMA YP PGRI 2 Makassar, the researchers obtained the following constraints and impacts: (1) the learning media used by the teachers was dominantly monotonous and made students feel bored or bored, (2) the dominant learning was not interactive. so that students are lazy to do assignments or read teaching materials, (3) too many assignments are given without clear working instructions so that the subject matter is difficult to understand, (4) lack of mastery of technology including the available platforms as a result the teacher does not use technology properly. From the above background, researchers conducted a study to determine the validity and practicality of developing LKPD based on Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) for class XI students at SMA YP PGRI 2 Makassar. The type of research used is ADDIE Model development research which consists of five steps, namely: (1) analysis (analyze), (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, ( 5) evaluation (evaluation). The research instrument used response questionnaires, learning outcomes tests and validation sheets. The results showed that the LKPD based on Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) on genetic material was valid and practical.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of the Numbered Head Together Method on the Biology Learning Outcomes of Class VIII Students of SMP Negeri 1 Mappedeceng on the Human Digestive System. This study used a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample for Class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapdeceng was 25 students. The results showed that the learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Mapdeceng before using the Numbered Head Together learning model were in the low category of 34.57. The learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Mappedeceng after using the Numbered Head Together learning model are in the high category of 78.05. It can be concluded that there is an effect of using the Numbered Head Together learning model on the Biology Learning Outcomes of Class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Mappedeceng

Abstract

This study aims to isolate and identify the microscopic fungi found in sago pulp (Metroxylon sagu Rottb). The results of this study were used as a learning resource for high school biology class X on fungi. This research is a descriptive study that aims to obtain isolates of microscopic fungi isolated from sago pulp (Metroxylon sagu Rottb). After the microscopic fungi isolates were found, the identification process was carried out. The results of the identification of microscopic fungi were used as a source of high school biology learning in the form of LKPD and then tested the validity of the LKPD. The results showed that the type of microscopic fungi found in sago pulp (Metroxylon sagu Rottb) was from the Ascomycetes class, especially the Eurotiales order with the species name Aspergillus sp. and the learning resource is declared valid with a CVI value of 1.00 so it is suitable to be used as a source of learning biology on fungi in class X high school.

Abstract

Research has been carried out with the title "Identification of Aspergillus sp. On Peanuts (Arachis hypogaea L) which are sold in Youtefa Market, Jayapura City”. The research was carried out at the Microbiology Laboratory of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Cendrawasih University, from January 9, 2021 to April 9, 2021. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was contamination of the fungus Aspergillus sp. on peanuts circulating in Youtefa Market, Jayapura city. This type of research is descriptive research with laboratory experiments. The population in this study were all peanuts (Arachis hypogaea L) which were sold at Youtefa Market, Jayapura city. The samples used in this study were peanuts (Arachis hypogaea L) in 5 different places each weighing 100 grams which were sold at the Youtefa market, and the samples were taken randomly. Isolation of Aspergillus sp. It was carried out by pouring cup method on PDA media, then macroscopic identification and microscopic identification were carried out. The results showed that samples of peanuts from 2 different types, namely 5 samples of dark brown peanuts were positive for contamination with the fungus Aspergillus sp. and 5 samples of brownish white peanuts were positive for Aspergillus sp. And Penicillium sp.

Abstract

Discussions about character education are always interesting from a theoretical and practical point of view. In this study, the author will explore the concept of character education and integration in the subject of adaptation of living things to their environment (adaptation) at MIN 2 Jombang. Because MIN 2 Jombang is one of the schools trying to implement a comprehensive education model in every lesson. By using a descriptive qualitative approach based on field research, this research tries to reveal the integrated form of character values ​​in the subject of adaptation of living things to their environment (adaptation). This study demonstrates the integration of teacher character values ​​through the stages of planning, implementation and closing. At each stage, the teacher develops material by integrating the values ​​of religious character, discipline, tolerance, independence, honesty, confidence, cooperation, and creativity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out which is the higher learning motivation of students who participate in learning boldly and to find out the motivation of students to learn offline. The research method used in this research is the questionnaire method. The questionnaire contains questions about student motivation to take part in learning on campus with a hybrid system. Based on the analysis of the questionnaire data obtained, it can be said that the highest student motivation in the learning process is in an attractive condition. Students need direct interaction with friends and with lecturers in the classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the cooperative learning model type TAI (Team Assisted Individualization). Against the Learning Outcomes of Class X SMAN 10 Luwu Students. The type of research used is experimental research with a quasi-experimental design and the design is non-equivalent control group design. The instrument used in this study was a test of student learning outcomes (pretest and posttest). The research samples taken were students of class X MIPA 1 and class X MIPA 2 SMAN 10 Luwu in the 2021 academic year with a total of 60 students. Sampling was used by purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is descriptive and inferential statistics. From the results of descriptive analysis, the average value of student learning outcomes in class X MIPA 2 SMAN 10 Luwu by applying the cooperative learning model type TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) obtained 80.50 in the high category. The results of the inferential analysis on student learning outcomes using the samplet-test test obtained a value of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, it was concluded that there was an effect on the treatment using a cooperative learning model type TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) increasing results student learning in the overall sample population.

Abstract

Research has been carried out on the formulation of ethanol extract cream for cocoa pods (Theobroma cacao L.). The research was carried out at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Jayapura University of Science and Technology, ± 3 months, namely March 5 - June 6, 2021. The purpose of the study was to determine the best formula for Ethanol Extract Cream for Cocoa Fruit Peel. The type of this research is descriptive method with laboratory experimental approaches. The population used in this study was the Cocoa Fruit Skin in Arso III Region, Keerom Regency. The number of samples in the study was 3 kg. The basic ingredients are taken from cocoa pods and the active ingredients are taken from maceration for 3×24 hours using70% ethanol as solvent. The formulation was carried out with variations of formulas I, II, and III with concentrations of stearic acid as an emulsifier, namely 6%, 9%, 12%. To get the best formula, an evaluation of the preparation was carried out including cream type testing, organoleptic testing, homogeneity testing, pH testing, dispersion testing, stability testing, and irritation testing. The results showed that the best formula was formula III with a concentration of 12% stearic acid with organoleptic evaluation test results showing a brown color, soft texture, homogeneous preparation, pH 6.3 and spreadability of 5 cm.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar IPA peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPA melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Kepala Bernomor Struktur. Pendekatan penelitian adalah Deskriptif kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari 2 siklus dengan prosedur kegiatan meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek yang diteliti ialah peserta didik kelas VIIIB SMP Negeri 2 Wewewa Timur yang berjumlah 31 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan ialah deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada peningkatan dalam pembelajaran IPA, baik pada aktivitas guru dan hasil belajar peserta didik mata pelajaran IPA. Skor pencapaian rerata prasiklus sebesar 60,3 dan kriteria ketuntasan minimal yang telah ditetapkan sebesar 74. Pada siklus I diperoleh skor pencapaian rerata hasil belajar IPA sebesar 75,5 berada pada kategori cukup dan pada siklus II diperoleh skor rerata 83,3 telah mencapai KKM yang telah ditentukan dan berada pada kategori sangat baik. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Kepala Bernomor Struktur dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA peserta didik kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 2 Wewewa Timur.

Abstract

The study aims was to improve the biology learning outcomes of Class IX students of SMP Ittihad Makassar through the application of the Quantum Teaching model to Class IX students of SMP Ittihad Makassar with the practical method. This type of research is classroom action research with data collection techniques through tests and observations. Observational data were analyzed qualitatively in the form of a description of student learning activities, and then analyzed quantitatively in the form of averages and categorization of student learning outcomes. The subjects in this study were all 20 students of class IX SMP Ittihad Makassar. The results of this study indicate an increase in biology learning outcomes for class IX students of SMP Ittihad Makassar through the application of the Quantum Teaching model with the practicum method. This can be seen from the results of student learning tests which show an increase from cycle I to cycle II with an average of 63.00% increasing to 82.00%.
