Hence, more activities are required to support children’s motor skill development. Engaging in play activities can promote the growth and development of youngsters. The objective of this study is to ascertain, evaluate, and compile the existing data from research on play activities that benefit pre-schoolers' motor abilities. This type of research uses literature studies. The database in this study with article criteria derived from sinta 2-5 indexed journals using an online database/search engine. Sixteen publications derived from the last five years and related to the focus of this research were assessed. The impact of play on kids' motor abilities is the main topic of this study’s examination. Sixteen studies that matched the criteria were discovered in the database search result. Based on the review findings, it can be concluded that play activities affect pre-schoolers motor skills. Overall, the reviews of all the articles show that children’s motor abilities can be developed through play. Abstract

Pain is the most common symptom of sports injuries. Studies suggest that sports massage and or cold-water immersion may improve pain. This study aimed to synthesize findings from previous research on sports massage and cold water immersion for pain treatment in athletes. Relevant article search method using the Garuda database, Onesearch, and Google Scholar originating from sinta 2 - 3 indexed journals with the keywords "Cold Water Immersion" + "Sports Massage Technique" + Pain." Article searches started from 2017 to 2022; literature analysis used PRISMA guidelines, and feasibility assessments used JBI critical assessment. Five articles were included in the literature review. Cold water immersion and sports massage techniques significantly affect the treatment of muscle pain. These two alternative interventions have been proven to alleviate the effects of muscle pain and speed up the healing process for athletes who experience muscle pain problems.

Abstract

The ability to use both sides of feet in association football, or so-called soccer in some countries, is highly valued, and therefore professional athletes rigorously train their non-dominant foot to perform effectively on the pitch. However, a subject that relates that players’ laterality aspect to the overall quality of the league of a given country has not yet been widely explored. This paper discusses the subject through a data analytics approach, leveraging the abundance of publicly available football datasets to describe interesting phenomena through data visualizations. In the present study, the foot laterality measure is represented by the percentage of left-footed scored goals and league’s overall quality by the market values of players. Results show that in general, leagues with higher market values have higher rates of left-footed goals. The findings in this work agree with those in past research conducted with other methods, hence confirming the validity of data analytics based on the crowdsourced football data. This research intends to emphasize the potential of data science in sport sector and motivate the football professionals to use big data to fine-tune their physical training methods and sport psychology approaches.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a product in the form of a CS 6 Flash-Based Swimming Learning Model so that students can more easily understand swimming material and also make it easier for teachers to teach swimming. This study uses the Research and Development method. The steps in this research were: field needs analysis, compiling products, validating media and material experts, small-scale trials, second stage validation, large-scale trials, and the final product. The subjects of this study were students of class XI SMA Islam Az-Zahrah Palembang. Data was collected using a questionnaire for both experts and subjects. The results of this study are in the form of swimming learning models for teachers. Material experts state that this product is included in the good category (84.6%). Application experts stated that this product was included in the good/proper category with a percentage of 90.62% while for the small group and field assessment were 87.5% and 90.90%, respectively. It can be concluded that the development of this application can be used as a reference for teachers in the process of learning swimming material and the findings in this study are the results of applying swimming material to high school students from class XI.

Abstract

The risk of injury in athletes tends to be greater during competition. This study aims to determine the differences in the characteristics of sports injuries that are dominantly experienced by track and field athletes during selection of Papuan athletes for PON XXI 2024. This study uses quantitative research with comparative methods. The population in this study were 409 athletes who participated in the PASI Papua Athletics Invitation. Sampling was chosen purposively among athletes who made it into the final round on track numbers and field numbers which were 264 athletes (track numbers = 185 and field numbers = 79). Data was collected using sports injury identification questionnaire for athletes to find out the characteristics of the dominant sports injuries experienced by athletes. The results showed that the sports injuries experienced by track number athletes were sprain and strains that predominantly occurred in the lower extremities, while injuries experienced by field number athletes were also dominant sprain and strains that occurred in the upper extremities and lower extremities. The results of the independent sample t test wasp=0.804 which indicates no differences in the characteristics of sports injuries experienced by athletics, although there are differences in the location of the injury.

Abstract

Small Side Games are a training method in which game situations are presented as real games, leading players to master technical, tactical and physical aspects. The research ability to maximize oxygen greatly affects performance of athletes in matches/games, because, with a poor physique, athlete's game can be detrimental to himself and team. The population of Bhayangkara U-18 men’s football players consisted of 25 people, especially football in wading through EPA (Elite Pro Academy) competition. This study usedexperimental method with one-group pretest-posttest design. The analysis technique used in this study was t-test with a significance level was 0.05. The average VO2Max pre-test for U-18 was 45.01 ml/kg/min, while the post-test VO2Max average was 49.92 ml/kg/min. The average difference between the two was 4.90 ml/kg/min. Monitoring and evaluation, regularly assess players' VO2Max levels to track improvements and adjust the training program accordingly. Frequency and duration at least two to three times a week in the training schedule. Each session should last for 20-30 minutes to ensure sufficient training stimulus. Consider playing position, performance goals, and physiological capabilities when designing small-side game sessions.

Abstract

Sports physical training is a physical activity that has a good effect on health, fitness and performance. Currently, many physical exercises have been developed, especially physical exercises using high intensity. The purpose of this study was to see the effects of high-intensity training on fitness and health in Sports Coaching Education students. In this study, the experimental pre-test post-test method was used involving seven untraining men and nine training men who are students majoring Sports Coaching Education (SCE). This study was conducted in four weeks, with frequency three times a week. The test used is the Shapiro-Wilk for normality check and Wilcoxon test to see the difference in pre-test and post-test after the sample gets high-intensity training treatment for four weeks. The results of this study showed differences in post HR Max, post bodyweight, post BMI, post sum recovery, and post HR rest (p<0.05). On the results of N-gain, tabata training was quite effective given to the group of training students than the untraining group. The conclusion in this study shows that the application of high-intensity training requires an adaptation process in the unfit student group to have a positive effect on the health and fitness of SCE students.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the strategies that led to the loss of the Sukun Badak Team in the 2023 Proliga volleyball competition. The type of research used is non-experimental with quantitative descriptive methods. The sample of the study consists of four top-ranked boy volleyball teams, namely Jakarta Lavani Allo Bank (JLAB), Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi (JBP), Jakarta STIN BIN (JSB), and Surabaya Bin Samator (SBS), and one lowest ranked volley team namely Sukun Badak Club (KSB) at the 2023 Proliga competition. The instrument used is an adapted and modified observation guideline from the FIVB 2005 VIS that measures six playing skills: service, receive, set, spike, block, and dig. The analysis of the research data uses descriptive analysis. Statistic results show the lowest score on serving, setter, and attack techniques when Sukun Badak clubs face JLAB clubs. The number of deadly balls when attacking (kill) is also the least when facing JLab clubs. The conclusion is that three dominant strategies end in the defeat of the Sukun Badak club: service, setting, and attacking.
