Abstract

Kelapa Jaya is a peasant group that uses nira coconut to make coconut sugar. The production process is still traditional. The farmer's group is still using a manual mixer so it takes a long complaint time, six hours. Besides, the product still does not have a brand so its sales value is still low. Therefore, it is necessary to transfer technology to accelerate the production process and increase the sales value of the product. This community partnership program (PKM) aims to: (1) transfer the efficiency technology of production processes with automatic complaints. (2) increase the sales value of products with labelling and merck. This PKM uses an action or participatory approach with the PKM team acting as a trainer, accompanist, observer, supervisor, and evaluator of the success of the program carried out by the farming group. PKM results show that the automatic nira sugar mixer can accelerate the process of grinding by 17%. The device can accelerate the re-grinding process from 6 hours to 5 hours. This can happen because of the uniform grinding and heating so that the nira clamps faster. There has been an increase in the knowledge and skills of each partner by 70%. Partners have been able to increase the sales value of the product by giving the brand and label on the coconut sugar products sold. A survey of partners showed that 100% of participants were satisfied with the program. The automatic Nira mixer successfully accelerates the coconut sugar production process. Partners have been able to produce cocoa sugar products faster and sell products with attractive packaging.

Abstract

Tilapia is a consumable fish that is needed in large quantities so that cultivation is carried out with dense stocking. The disadvantage of dense stocking is that the cultivation waste from feces or residual feed is quite high so it is necessary to apply a technology, namely aquaponics. This technology is the basis for community service in a limited location at the Deles Merr Culinary Tourism Center, Surabaya. The aim is to provide knowledge about aquaponics which is a combined system of fish and vegetable farming. Fish feces and feed residue are useful as fertilizer for vegetables so that water quality becomes optimal. The community service was conducted through counseling and mentoring methods on the application of aquaponic technology for tilapia (O. niloticus) and lettuce (L. sativa) cultivation on limited land. The target to be achieved is to increase knowledge, empowerment and improve skills in producing fish and vegetable farming businesses. Assistance in the form of an observation study of the application of aquaponic technology for tilapia (O. niloticus) and lettuce (L. sativa) cultivation on limited land resulted in growth rate (GR) data of 1.2 gr/day and specific growth rate (SGR) of 0.05%/day. Lettuce plants absorb ammonia produced from feces and remaining tilapia feed, thus optimizing water quality which has an impact on growth rate and specific growth rate. The community has gained knowledge and applied aquaponic technology in tilapia (O. niloticus) and lettuce (L. sativa) farming.

Abstract

Laut Biru Village is a village located in Bone Raya District, Bone Bolango Regency. The area of this village is 2.64 km2 with a percentage of the sub-district area of 4.12%. The population of Laut Biru Village is 711 thousand people or 1.79% of the total population in Bone Raya District. The occupations of some people are farmers and fishermen. In the context of development and community independence, Laut Biru Village adheres to the Together We Advance concept or a concept where the community voluntarily works together to achieve goals without depending on assistance from the government or other institutions. The aim of this activity is to help local communities gain knowledge and skills in utilizing the resources they have to improve welfare through waste management and contribute to maintaining the sustainability of the marine environment and coastal ecosystems. The method used is the individual mentoring method by providing training and mentoring which is equipped with learning by doing techniques (learning while working). The Thematic Real Work Lecture Program in Laut Biru Village lasts for 45 days. Program activities begin with the initial stage of direct observation in coastal areas. The core program focuses on increasing the self-sufficiency of seaside community reserves by addressing the impact of waste on marine ecosystems and encouraging household waste management. The program's core activities include outreach to increase awareness about the dangers of waste and the importance of utilizing existing resources. Implementation of the core program activities for Gorontalo State University KKN-T students in Laut Biru Village began with providing outreach on the Dangers of the Impact of Waste on Marine Ecosystems and Management of Household Waste on the Coast of Lau Biru Village by presenters from Gorontalo State University Lecturers and the lets clean our ocean program namely social service activities carried out along the coast of Laut Biru Village which involve all elements of society and the government of Laut Biru Village. The collected waste is then processed into paving blocks. Garbage is the biggest problem in Laut Biru Village. Because there is no TPA (Final Disposal Site) so people throw their rubbish on the edge of the beach. Therefore, follow-up action is needed regarding waste so that it does not spread and damage the environment and marine ecosystem.
