Abstract

This training on making packaging designs and product photos is a continuation of Community Service (PKM) activities to empower mothers in RT 16 Karang Joang. These training participants are sewing training participants who are already capable of producing products, especially clothing. After making fashion products, the participants faced a new problem, namely they did not understand how to market and increase the selling value of the products they made. This empowerment activity aims to provide knowledge and skills in packaging creation and product photography. In particular, people are able to increase the selling value of products so that they attract consumer interest and increase the number of sales. The stages of implementing the activity consisted of the preparation stage where the implementing team conducted a location survey, participant recruitment, and socialization and licensing with the Head of RT 16 Karang Joang. At the implementation stage, the service implementation team provides training and assistance in creating packaging and product photography. The final post-implementation stage is evaluation. Before empowering women, housewives did no other activities apart from cooking, washing and taking care of the house. They do not have special skills to make a living, so they only depend on the income from the head of the family. After attending the training, the participants who are housewives understand the importance of packaging design and photography in marketing. Packaging can add to the selling value of the product, while product photos serve to present the product so that it attracts consumer interest. Participants not only have knowledge but are also skilled at making paper bag and taking product photos using a mobile application. Women's empowerment needs to be carried out continuously through various programs so that they are able to be competitive, entrepreneurship, so as to improve family welfare.

Abstract

Adolescence is a transition period from childhood and adulthood from the age of 11 to 21 years. According to WHO, an individual teenager is still said to be a teenager when he is 10-19 years old. At the time of entering adolescence, they will experience a transitional period of mental, physical and reproductive development that can have an impact on general health status. The menstrual cycle in adolescent girls will increase every month, causing an increase in monthly iron expenditure. Adolescent girls have unhealthy food consumption habits, causing the diversity of food substances to be not fulfilled by the body for the formation of hemoglobin (Hb). The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge of young women regarding the consumption of Blood Add Tablets (TTD) and food sources of Fe in the UPTD area of the Limo Health Center, Depok, West Java. Abstract

Droughts caused by long droughts can cause fires on peatlands. Peatlands have a major function for the ecosystem, which is efficient in absorbing carbon and is a habitat for a variety of flora and fauna. However, this is not yet understood by the community, because in the dry season land clearing is often done by burning. Limbung Village is one of the villages in Sungai Raya Sub-District, Kubu Raya Regency. This PKM aims to provide socialization related to peatland conservation and agriculture without burning, to provide knowledge of peatland conservation, peatland functions, conservation benefits, and agricultural techniques without burning. The method of this socialization activity is lecture and question and answer. The socialization activities were conducted through lectures given by resource persons related to peatland conservation and no-burn agriculture. A pre-test was conducted before the activity started and a post-test was given to the participants at the end. Based on the results of the participants' questionnaires before participating in the socialization activities and after participating in the socialization activities, there was an increase in knowledge. The value of the participants' pre-test results before the socialization activity was 7.5% and the value of the participants' post-test results after participating in the socialization activity was 97.5%. These results show a 90% increase in participants' knowledge after participating in the socialization activity on peatland conservation and no-burn agriculture. The participants were very sympathetic and enthusiastic while listening to the materials and asking questions to the resource person. Abstract

Indonesia's development cannot be separated from the development of its society. People need to get services from other parties with the aim of improving their quality of life. According to the Tridharma, a lecturer as an educator at a university, one of his duties is to serve the community. The Teaching Campus Program (KM) is a program issued by the Indonesian government which aims to provide opportunities for all students to learn and develop themselves through activities outside their respective campuses. The purpose of the service of the field supervisor (DPL) in the Teaching Campus is to help students from the beginning to the end of their assignment at the school where the students are placed by the central committee implementing the Teaching Campus program. A DPL receives an assignment from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. DPLs are of course responsible for guiding students in each program that students will carry out at the target school so that the objectives of the campus teaching program, one of which is to increase literacy and numeracy at the target school, are realized. This educational service uses a mentoring method for students who are placed in the program's target schools. Another form of service is DPL coordinating with various parties to support the smooth running of student tasks. From the results of implementing PkM, DPL mentoring services provide several benefits for lecturers' careers in relation to their tridharma duties. The author groups these benefits into three general categories, namely benefits in the fields of education, research and community service. According to field supervisors, campus teaching programs provide significant benefits, namely increasing students' hard skills and soft skills. In terms of hard skills, students can immediately implement the knowledge they are learning on campus in the world of work. In the field of soft skills, students gain knowledge on how to solve problems, collaborate, and be responsible for the work they do in the real world of work. The author draws the conclusion that there are many benefits obtained by field supervisor lecturers (DPL) from their participation in the Teaching Campus program. The benefit felt most by DPLs is that this activity supports their duties in fulfilling the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, especially in the field of community service.

Abstract

Aquascape is a miniature aquatic ecosystem. The interaction between abiotic components with fish and plants creates an aesthetically pleasing underwater scene. Waters are fish habitats that directly affect the health and development of fish. The increasing turbidity of the waters from the water source and the increase in feed residues and waste metabolites decrease the quality of water and the beauty of the aquascape. Turbidity and ammonia levels exceeding Environmental Quality Standards lead to hypoxia and provoke disease growth. This service activity aims to improve water quality, especially turbidity parameters, to support ornamental fish activities through the concept and design of an optimal aquascape unit, with the addition of aquatic plants as one of the filter media. Methods of activities consists of surveys, socialization, coaching, manufacturing practices, and maintenance of units. Aquascape design for ornamental fish farming is a product of this activity. The implementation of activities from May to July 2023, in Cempaka Village, Cempaka District, Banjarbaru City at Groups Youth Clubs. Training on design and aquascape unit biofiltration system with success of 75%. The practice of installing aquascape media is 80%. The evaluation indicator of the knowledge improvement component of the partner group is 80%. Unit operational and maintenance techniques, knowledge of biota selection, and feeding schedule increased by 70%. The partner's commitment to jointly manage and run aquascape activities is social capital, in addition to increasing the contribution to partner income. Reusing water through a filter unit can make the aquascape system more efficient. This filtering mechanism neutralises ammonia compounds and other toxic substances before entering the aquascape ecosystem. Aquascape techniques can streamline the cost of water change, maintenance, and aeration. Reducing harmful substances from the excess of feed, feces as well as lowering turbidity.

Abstract

Fertilizer is a source of nutrients needed by plants, as well as sea grapes. Bat Manure found in the caves of Bolok Village have not been properly utilized and have the potential to be used as a basic ingredient in fertilizer. However, the bat manure must be processed first through composting because plants cannot absorb nutrients from organic matter that is still raw, regardless of its form and origin. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide community knowledge and skills regarding the manufacture of Bat Manure Liquid Organic Fertilizer starting from the preparation of materials, packaging to labeling. The method used in this service activity is a combination of lectures, discussions and practices. Community service activities were responded very well by the local community, this was shown by the active participation of the residents in all stages of the training so that they could run smoothly. It is hoped that in the future this fertilizer can become an alternative product so that it can overcome fertilizer scarcity and reduce production costs and can become an additional livelihood for the people of Bolok Village.
