Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe in depth the theological elements in the origin of village names in Jatiasih District, Bekasi City. The method used in this research is descriptive using a qualitative approach. The object of this research includes the names of villages in Jatiasih District, Bekasi City. Based on the data analysis, the author can conclude: there are five of the eleven villages whose toponyms or the origins of the naming of the village are motivated by theological values ??in it. The five names of the villages are Kebantenan Village, Pamahan Village, Pondok Benda Village, Bojong Sari Village, and Jatikramat Village. The overall theological value in naming the village names is based on the relationship between the two great Islamic empires on the island of Java, namely the Cirebon Kingdom and the Banten Kingdom. All stages of theology adopted in the formation of the names/toponyms of the five villages in Jatiasih are the stages of dynamism originating from tombs, people, to sacred trees. Historically, the theological value presented is more about the story of the spread of Islam carried out by religious leaders from the two kingdoms who often stop in the villages in Jatiasih.

Abstract

This article aims to explain the role of Hans-Georg Gadamer hermeneutics in the perspective of the Betawi language in Depok City. In the Betawi language in the city of Depok, there are things related to art, history, and language to answer from a philosophical perspective. The method used is the method of literature study or literature study. The collection is obtained from Hans-Georg Gadamer's famous book Truth and Method and the authors who preceded it who studied his thoughts. The data were analyzed and used as a source of thought for the Betawi language perspective in Depok City. The results determined that Hans George Gadamer made an important contribution to the Betawi language in Depok City. In addition, Hans-Georg Gadamer's hermeneutics provides a definition that essentially hermeneutics can be in three aspects, namely: art, history, and language.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of blended learning on student learning outcomes in English subjects at SMK Barunawati, North Jakarta. The research method used to analyze is a quantitative calculation method with an associative approach (correlation), which is to determine the influence between blended learning competencies and student learning outcomes. Data collection methods used are observation and questionnaires (questionnaires). Samples were taken as many as 76 students of class X. Based on the results of observations made on student grades, it showed that there was an increase in the average score of students in semester 1 from 81.47 to 84 so it can be ascertained that blended learning affects student learning outcomes. And based on the results of the calculation of the correlation coefficient r = 0.743, which means blended learning has a strong enough relationship to student learning outcomes. While the coefficient of determination is 50.20% so it can be concluded that blended learning affects student learning outcomes by 50.20% and the remaining 49.80% is influenced by other factors. Furthermore, the hypothesis test was obtained that thitung>ttabel  was 9,550 > 1,665, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, so it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between pedagogical competence and teacher creativity on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

People feel that web 2.0 technologies and social networking sites (SNS), especially Facebook, are closely associated for use in educational programs as a learning tool, especially for the purpose of teaching and learning English. Rather, it has been seen as a way for students to supplement their formal education by conducting research and reading articles outside of the classroom. What I Like About Facebook, it can create a group learning, Dr. Grammar is the example. It is a Facebook group for learners who have desire to learn English grammar. This study explores Facebook and language learning in the context of learners’ experiences in learning English grammar using Dr. Grammar. Adopting a qualitative case study approach, it involved sixteen participants who enrolled Dr. Grammar through questionnaire and interview. Responses to Likerts-scale items were analyzed using percentage frequency response, while to yield a more in-depth analysis semi-structured interview was used to gain the participants’ responses. The results showed that learners experience positive attitude toward Facebook group in learning grammar through Dr. Grammar. This study suggests that learners must be able to not dependent on the teachers itself, they are allowed to learn and explore the use of technologies and social networking in fostering learners’ autonomous in the learning process.

Abstract

This study examines and analyzes the influence of workplace security and safety culture on employee retention and loyalty. The population in this study were all employees working at manufacturing companies in Gresik. Sampling using a simple random sampling technique, and the sample used in this study was 60 samples. This research aims to understand entrepreneurs, especially those engaged in manufacturing because the worker safety factor is significant. Employers can retain the best employees and increase employee loyalty to the organization. Methods This research takes a quantitative approach by using a cross-sectional design. Research sources come from primary sources obtained through questionnaires and secondary sources from articles related to the research topic. Research data collection through questionnaires using a five Likert scale with five alternative answers—analysis of research data using multiple linear regression tests that had previously been through the classical assumption test using SPSS version 24. The test results show that all the hypotheses proposed have a significant effect. Employee loyalty, workplace security, and safety culture significantly impact retention and work safety and security culture positively affect employee loyalty. The implication for practitioners based on this research is that workplace safety is a basic need for employees that employers must meet. Organizations must also implement a good workplace safety culture to increase loyalty and retain employees.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Liquidity, Solvency and Firm Size on Financial Performance simultaneously and partially, in the Property, Real Estate and Building Construction sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2016-2020 period. Sampling using purposive sampling method. The research sample consisted of 44 companies with a 5-year period, namely 2014-2018. Financial report data was obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange, company web and IDN Financial. The research method used is associative research with secondary data. The analysis used in this research includes panel data test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination, f test, t test. The results showed that Liquidity, Solvency and Firm Size on Financial Performance. The results of the F test show that Liquidity, Solvency and Firm Size have a significant effect on Financial Performance, while the t test results show that Liquidity, Solvency and Firm Size have a significant effect on Financial Performance.

Abstract

This research entitled A Study of Adjacency Pairs in The Late Late Show with James Corden, A Case Study in An Afternoon with Prince Harry and James Corden Episode investigates particular social action which is indicated from pair utterances and preference. This research tries to find kind of adjacency pairs which are included in conversation between James and Prince Harry, which are the dominant types of adjacency pairs, and the particular social action that is revealed between James and Prince Harry. The data were analyzed using Harvey Sack (1986) and Yule (1996) theory. This research applied descriptive qualitative method with case study design to obtain the result. the data that were analyzed were taken from The Late Late Show with James Corden YouTube channel that were including transcribing, identifying, coding, describing and interpreting. The researcher found thirty-five pairs utterances that construct in the conversation between James Corden and Prince Harry which are ten types of adjacency pairs found. At last, researcher found that question-answer is the dominant types of adjacency pairs that relate with this research subject, Talk Show, which absolutely will contain question answer segment and preferred response is the dominant preference structure which indicates both James and Prince Harry close to each other in pragmatic perspective.

Abstract

In the Covid-19 pandemic situation, learning at school was hampered, and one of them was PPKN lessons. The alternative used by PPKN teachers at YAS Sindangkerta High School in learning is to use WhatsApp media. The purpose of conducting this research was to determine the effect of using WhatsApp media during the Covid-19 pandemic on PPKN lessons at SMA YAS Sindangkerta. The research method used is descriptive quantitative research using a survey method, as well as collecting data using a questionnaire. The sample in this study amounted to 33 students with the entire population, namely class XII, totaling 217 students. The results of the study were seen from the t Hypothesis Test which showed that the significance value of using WhatsApp media in the coefficient table was 0.001, less than 0.05. This means that the use of WhatsApp media during the Covid-19 pandemic had an effect on being used in Civics learning. The result of the Correlation Coefficient test is the Pearson Correlation value of 0.543, which means that the correlation level between the two variables is moderate.

Abstract

Danika online shop merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang UMKM. Danika online shop menjadi salah satu umkm yang mampu bersaing dalam pasar industri umkm, yang memiliki tujuan utama demi tercapainya kepuasan pelanggan dari aspek kualitas produk yang selalu terjaga. Berdasarkan wawancara didapatkan informasi tidak terkontrolnya persediaan bahan baku, sehingga Persediaan Bahan Baku mengalami kelebihan (OverStock), akibat banyaknya total biaya yang diperlukan, dan pemborosan biaya persediaan sehingga dapat menghambat kelancaran produksi. Maka peneliti menyelesaikan masalah dengan metode Min-Max, Deterministik, dan Algoritma C4.5. Dari hasil metode min-max tingkat pemesanan kembali bahan baku kain rasfur terbesar pada tahun 2021 sebesar 6,34kg. Dengan menggunakan metode Algoritma Wegner-Within biaya persediaan optimum yang dihasilkan untuk kain rasfur adalah Rp.12.318.101. Dengan metode Algoritma C4.5 kita bisa liat prediksi penjualan sajadah dilihat dari pohon keputusan berikut rule prediksi produk laris : Rule 1: Jika Warna Produk merah dan Jenis Produk Sajadah Tebal dan Harga HR maka Laris, Rule 2: Jika Warna Produk merah dan Jenis Produk Sajadah Travel dan Harga HT maka Kurang Laris, Rule 3: Jika Warna Produk Putih dan Jenis Produk Sajadah Tebal dan Harga HR maka Laris, Rule 4: Jika Warna Produk Putih dan Jenis Produk Sajadah Travel dan Harga HT maka Kurang Laris, Rule 5: Jika Warna Produk Biru dan Harga HR dan Jenis Produk Sajadah Tebal maka Laris, Rule 6: Jika Warna Produk Biru dan Harga HT dan Jenis Produk Sajadah Travel maka Kurang Laris. Jadi produk yang kurang laris harus mengurangi produksi produk tersebut sehingga dapat meminimalisir biaya persediaan bahan baku.

Abstract

Permasalahan kinerja pegawai tenaga kependidikan Universitas Soerjo seperti kedisiplinan pegawai yang rendah menyebabkan pelayanan tidak dapat berjalan maksimal. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pengawasan, disiplin kerja secara parsial dan pengawasan dan disiplin kerja secara simultan terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Universitas Soerjo. Variabel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah variabel independen dan variabel dependen. Variabel bebas yang digunakan yaitu pengawasan (XI) dan disiplin kerja (X2), sementara variabel terikat nya kinerja pegawai (Y). Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 38 orang responden. Peneliti menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dengan kuesioner, dokumenter, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengawasan  dan disiplin kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Selain itu, secara simultan, disiplin kerja dan pengawasan berpengaruh nyata terhadap kinerja pengawasan.
