Abstract

The purpose of this research is to make a chop meter for table tennis. This research method is research and development or Research and Development (R&D). The population and sample in this study were 20 PTM Pasir Pengaraian table tennis athletes. The research was carried out on February 13, 2023, by giving a questionnaire to 2 media experts and two material experts. The first test of Chop on March 5, 2023, and the second on March 7, 2023, tests the instruments reliability. The Criteria Test uses the results of the jurys assessment in the form of an assessment matrix to be carried out on March 6, 2023, to find the validity of the test. This study involved the first and second test samples of 20 Pasir Pengaraian PTM athletes, using data collection methods with questionnaires and tests. The study results were obtained from material experts 87.70% and 94% (very appropriate) and media experts 91% and 89.80% (decent) validity 0.91 and reliability 0.87, indicating validity and reliability based on the Kirkendall category

Abstract

POR Uniska students still need more confidence during takraw practice activities because the ball used (media) is very hard, and the takraw ball is factory-made. This study aims to determine the development of takraw ball learning media to determine its attractiveness level. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) adapted by Sugiono from his method. The subjects of this research were MAB POR UNISKA students in regular class B 2020, and the data collection instrument used was a questionnaire given to material experts, media experts, and Sepaktakraw course lecturers to test the quality of rubber rattan takraw balls for MAB POR UNISKA students. The development of this takraw ball was carried out and adapted from the research and development (R&D) method, which consists of several stages following the steps of Bord and Gall, including identification of potential and problems, data collection, product design in the form of a simple takraw ball, design validation, design revision, product trial, and final product revision. The results of the assessment of simple takraw balls in sepak takraw learning include: the material expert assessment gives a final average score of 96.3 with very interesting criteria, the media expert gives a final average score of 80.6 with very interesting criteria, and the course instructor gives a score of 90.83 with very good criteria. The product trial results showed an average final score of very good attractiveness. The development of rubber rattan takraw ball learning media for MAB POR UNISKA students is very suitable for use as learning media

Abstract

Physical education is not just about learning skills from several basic techniques in sports including football. Currently, football needs to be supported by critical thinking skills to produce a more focused and efficient game. The aim of this research is to implement an inquiry learning model on students critical thinking skills in the game of football in the aspects of maintaining possession of the ball, creating space in attack, and shooting the ball into the goal. The method used was an experiment with The Randomized Posttest Only Control Group Design. The total sample was 70 students divided into two groups, namely the experimental group of 35 people who were given inquiry model treatment and the control group of 35 people who were given conventional model treatment. The instrument for measuring critical thinking skills uses an observation sheet whose level of validity has been tested. The results of the research show that students critical thinking abilities for the inquiry model in football learning in the aspect of maintaining possession of the ball are in the very good category, while for the conventional model in this aspect they are in the good category. Students critical thinking skills for the inquiry model for the aspect of creating space in attack are in the very good category, while for the conventional model in this aspect they are in the good category. Students critical thinking skills for the inquiry model in the aspect of shooting the ball into the goal are in the very good category, while for the conventional model in this aspect they are in the good category. The application of the inquiry model for students as prospective physical education teachers in order to improve critical thinking skills in football game material has a significant impact.

Abstract

Learning the game of volleyball at the Vuttisat Vittanuson school in Thailand, especially in terms of lower passing ability, still needs to improve. Applying the learning model provided by physical education teachers is still conventional, so it cannot build the effectiveness of student learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of a scientific approach on students volleyball passing abilities. This research is quasi experimental research with a Pretest Posttest Group Design research design. The population in this study were Mattayom 5 students at Vuttisat Vittayanuson School and a sample of 30. The instrument in this research is a volleyball passing ability test. The research results showed that based on the pretest and posttest scores, there was a significant increase. It is known that there is a difference in the positive influence of applying a scientific approach to students' passing ability in volleyball

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of aerobic exercise on improving sleep quality and anxiety in overweight women in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic. Physical activity is needed following aerobic exercise To maintain body fitness and ideal body shape. This research is a single-group pretest-posttest experimental study. The subjects in this study were overweight women aged 25-55, with 47 respondents. The measurement instruments in this study were the PSQI and the Sit and Reach Test. The data analysis technique used the normality test with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, the homogeneity test using the Levene test, and the significance test using a paired t-test. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that the results of the PSQI t-test (13.858) are greater than the t-table and the results of the t-count flexibility (-12.786), so aerobic exercise is effective in improving sleep quality and flexibility in overweight women in Purwokerto

Abstract

Endurance is one of the most influential factors in achieving high-performance athletes. The level of maximum oxygen volume or VO2Max describes endurance. VO2Max is the ability to consume oxygen during physical activity. This research examines the influential factors of Taekwondo achievement in regional sports competitions. The method used in this research is a survey to determine VO2Max levels. The research instrument operated is the Multi Fitness Test (MFT) to measure VO2Max levels. The sample in this study was 20 taekwondo athletes from Semarang City. Data results of the physical condition test are divided into five categories: Poor, Under Average, Average, Above Average, and Excellent. The results confirm that VO2Max level is the main factor in achieving the best athlete performance. Athletes who win gold medals have the VO2Max Above the Average category. The conclusion is that most taekwondo athletes in Semarang City have a VO2Max level in the Average Category. Increasing VO2Max training is required to achieve athletes' high performance.

Abstract

This study determined the correlation between sedentary activities and interest in Physical Education learning in adolescents. Correlational analysis was utilized in this study, with a sample of 33 students obtained using an accidental sampling technique. The research instrument used an ASAQ questionnaire to acquire sedentary activity data and a learning interest questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability values of 0.801> 0.60. The results revealed that the sedentary activity of watching videos/DVDs was the highest, with an average duration of 95.09 minutes/day, and the sedentary activity of reading for pleasure was the lowest, with an average duration of 19.91 minutes/day. Meanwhile, the average interest in Physical Education learning is medium. The product-moment correlation test showed that the Pearson correlation value is -0.350, so it can be concluded that sedentary activities and interest in Physical Education learning have a significant negative correlation. The result stated that the highest sedentary activities had the lowest learning interest.

Abstract

This study investigated high school students motivation and barriers to implementing Physical Education (PE). This study used a descriptive quantitative research survey method involving 300 samples. The instrument utilizes an online motivation questionnaire for data collection. The data is analyzed using percentage analyses. The results of data analysis with indicators of student motivation reveal that the Intrinsic motivation and Identified regulation categories have higher results and identical values, with a value of 23%, and the Amotivation category, with a value of 15%, has lower results among other motivation indicators including intrinsic motivation, identified regulation, introjected regulation, external regulation. The indicator of student barriers shows that the external category has higher results with a value of 54%, and the internal category has lower results with a value of 46%. This research indicates that intrinsic motivation and identified regulation have identical values and are higher than the other motivation categories. It concludes that many students still have the motivation that grows from themselves and pressure from outside to participate in physical education learning. Barriers can also be concluded by examining higher external than internal indicators. This study shows that students have barriers that prevent them from growing outside to participate in educational learning activities.
