Abstract

Academic Advisor Lecturers (DPA) are lecturers assigned by the University to assist students in living their academic life on campus. Apart from being a lecturer, a DPA can also be a motivator for students' successful academic achievement, although in reality there are DPAs who actually become obstacles to students' academic progress. The research was conducted on Islamic Guidance and Counseling students at Antasari State Islamic University (UIN) Banjarmasin. The number of respondents studied was 286 active students majoring in BPI UIN Antasari Banjarmasin. The data analysis carried out was regression analysis using the SPSS v22.0 application. The hypothesis raised is that there is an influence of DPA as a builder of academic motivation and student achievement at BPI UIN Antasari Banjarmasin. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that an academic advisor lecturer is able to provide motivation to students who are studying at university. An advisor lecturer is able to become a motivation builder to make his students' achievements better in the future by 71.2%. Keywords: Academic Advisor Lecturer, Motivation, Student Achievement

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the impact of the DMR model on students' mathematical representation, reasoning and reversible thinking abilities. This research uses a quasi-experimental design with a posttest only control design. The population consisted of class Data was collected through description tests and analyzed using normality, homogeneity and Multivariate Analysis of Variance (Manova) tests. Manova results show that students who use the DMR model have better mathematical representation, reasoning and reversible thinking abilities compared to students who use the conventional model (direct instruction). Therefore, the DMR model is suitable for use in the classroom learning process. The DMR learning model can be considered as an alternative choice for training students' mathematical representation, reasoning and reversible thinking abilities. Abstract

The Efforts to improve student learning outcomes in mathematics learning, especially in the concept of flat-sided shapes, using the CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) approach at SMP Negeri 2 Telukjambe Barat. The CTL approach usually emphasizes active involvement of students in the learning process by relating learning material to real contexts or student experiences. The research aims to improve students' understanding and skills in understanding the concept of flat-sided geometric figures through the CTL approach. This can be done by strengthening the connection between the mathematical material being taught and the situation or context around students, so that they can more easily understand and apply these concepts in everyday life. This research is very relevant and useful because it helps increase the effectiveness of mathematics learning and expands students' understanding of mathematical concepts that may seem abstract to them. Thus, the results are expected to provide better insight into how the CTL approach can improve student learning outcomes in the context of mathematics learning. Abstract

Learning Natural Sciences (Science) requires an interesting and interactive approach so that students can understand scientific concepts thoroughly. One concept that is often a challenge is a simple aircraft. This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in science learning on simple airplane concepts through an inquiry approach at SMP Negeri 2 Telukjambe Barat, class VIII B. The method used in this research is classroom action research (CAR) using an inquiry approach as a learning method. Research was carried out in several cycles involving observation, reflection and continuous improvement actions. The instruments used to collect data are tests, observations and field notes. The research results show a significant increase in student learning outcomes after implementing the inquiry approach. Students show increased understanding of simple airplane concepts, critical thinking skills, and interest in learning material. In addition, student participation in the learning process also increased, showing the effectiveness of the inquiry approach in motivating students to learn actively. Abstract

A form of training that can have an influence on volleyball skills is the use of independent and pair training methods. With the initial attitude, namely standing facing each other, then passing repeatedly and don't let the ball fall and the direction of the ball is unstable. The aim of this research is to find out whether there is an influence on the extracurricular students' under-passing skills in volleyball at SMP Negeri 01 Bangunrejo through independent and pair training methods. The type of this research is quantitative research, this type of research is quantitative research, the experimental method is an activity that includes an initial test, giving exercises, and a final test. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, this research shows that there is a significant influence between independent and pair training on lower passing skills. The results of the T Test calculation, where ????????????????????????? = 2.799 using a significance of 5% and d.b = (N-1) = (24-1) = 23, obtained a value of ???????????????????????? = 0.173. Based on the categories above, there is a value of ????????????????????????? > ???????????????????????? or 2.799 > 0.173. or the increase between the pre-test and post-test was 11.71 or 12.65% with a mean deviation of 0.731. So the null hypothesis (Ho), so the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. The results of the data analysis above obtained a value of R=0.524, a value of F=2.799 with a significance of p = 0.000 (<0.01), so independent and pair training has an influence on the bottom passing skills of extracurricular students at SMP Negeri 01 Bangunrejo. Abstract

Changes and developments over time have encouraged the importance of contextual understanding of hadith by the people. In the midst of this, studying the understanding of hadith using a methodical approach has urgency, especially its position as a source of law after the Koran and its function as mubayyin (explainer). In Indonesia, the understanding of hadith can be seen as still experiencing delays. The aim of this research is to explain the methods and understanding of hadith in Indonesia. This research method uses a library research approach, namely by conducting a study of several literatures related to hadith studies studied and developed in Indonesia, including several Islamic intellectual scientific works that examine hadith studies in Indonesia. The findings show that in Indonesia there are several popular methods of understanding hadith that are studied and studied in hadith science literature, including the tahlili (analytical) method, the ijmali (global) method, the muqarin (comparative) method, and the maudhu'i method ( thematic). It is possible that the models of methods for understanding hadith will experience development as times change. The problem of modern life like today, of course, is that understanding hadith requires an understanding that can respond to the needs of the times. In the current context, for example, understanding hadith using a scientific and philosophical approach has become a model of approach that is seen as being able to respond to modernity. It is hoped that this approach model can provide a comprehensive understanding of the hadiths of the Prophet SAW, that is, not only to be understood at a textual level, but also to be understood contextually and substantively so that the essence and wisdom behind the hadith texts can be understood wisely. Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic poses challenges in all aspects, especially the educational aspect. The implementation of the learning process due to the Covid-19 pandemic has experienced changes to educational components, including teachers, students, school environment, educational content, educational methods and media as well as the educational curriculum. The aim of the research is to analyze the Independent Curriculum in order to improve the quality of post-pandemic education. This study provides an overview of the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Tuntang District. The Merdeka Curriculum has three different characteristics from the previous curriculum, namely project-based learning, focus on essential material and learning flexibility. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The informants in this research were driving teachers and class teachers in the Tuntang District area. Data collection was carried out using several techniques, namely; (a) observation; (b) interview; and (c) documentation. The results of this research are that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in the Tuntang area has been carried out quite well in the first year and the Merdeka Curriculum can be a solution after the pandemic and can improve the quality of education in Indonesia. Abstract

Eco-Critical Language Awareness (Eco-CLA), as a powerful concept to bring about environmental justice, produces eco-friendly humans with the relevant literature and language instruction. This article provides the practice of Eco-CLA in English Language Teaching (ELT) classroom by not only focusing big scheme of degraded environment condition and its worrying future impact on earth in short and long period. However, it draws the process of how ELT pre-service teachers are introduced to the ecological issues, reflect their identity and initiate pedagogical implication in ELT instructions. This research conducted a case study that involved 9 participants separated in 7 classes that were selected through the purposive sampling technique. The result of research scopes: (1) the students report on their relevant eco-literature; (2) the missing environmental values from their cultures and the drawbacks for the current surrounding situation and; (3) the momentarily appropriate responses (pedagogical implication) for the reformulation of those values to take a part into real actions in the future.

Abstract

Generation Z in its 2022 US Census report states that people were born from 1997 to 2013. Meanwhile in Australia, the McCrindle Research Center Statistics Agency calls generation Z people born from 1996 to 2010. Several facts were found that generation Z social media than use the internet more often and a previous generation. So this research aims to find out to what extent generation Z, the younger generation nowadays, uses social media and the internet more often, so that today's generation is more interested in reading through digital media compared to print media. This research also uses the library research method, namely the study of literature such as journals, books and other scientific works. One of the problems that generation Z often faces today is that they are not very interested in reading literacy. In addition, they are more interested in visual learning than print media, so their interest in reading decreases every year. Based on this problem, digital literacy is one way to encourage generation Z to have an interest in reading, to make digital literacy more attractive to today's young generation. There are three innovations added to digital media, electronic book storage, online libraries and social media. It is hoped that these innovations will facilitate generation Z's access to literary media and make it more enjoyable. Research shows that 80% of Indonesian teenagers' digital literacy success is moderate. Promiscuity is also one of the causes of generation Z becoming a generation lazing around reading and communicating well, because promiscuity has both negative and positive impacts on every individual who experiences it.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the impact of Islamization in the Kingdom of Padjajaran, particularly in the transformation of the education system and changes in the social values of Sundanese society. Using a qualitative approach and historical case study, the focus of the research involves the region of West Java that was in the past part of the Kingdom of Padjajaran. The results show that Islamization affected religious changes and included significant transformations in the education system, with Islamic boarding schools and madrasahs becoming centres of knowledge offering holistic education. In addition, the social values of Sundanese society also changed, encompassing the concepts of justice, tolerance and brotherhood introduced by Islamic teachings. Although the Kingdom of Padjajaran did not become a fully independent Islamic kingdom, the influence of Islam continued to infiltrate and shape its cultural and social aspects, making a significant contribution towards understanding the role of Islam in shaping the identity and social life of Sundanese society during this period.
