Abstract

This article aims to identify school policies that influence students' character through excellent cchool culture, to identify strategies for instilling building character values through excellent school culture, and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of excellent school culture-based character building. This article used qualitative method. The result showed that (1) School cultural policies at SD Muhammadiyah Plus that include character building values, such as good public relations (5S culture), morning assembly, student appointments, dhuha prayer, dhuhur prayer together. Meanwhile, at Al-Azhar Islamic Elementary School 22 Salatiga, flag ceremony, pledge, Ramadhan boarding school, dhuhur prayer together, tahfidz, and humanism. (2) SD Muhammadiyah Plus Salatiga employs a strategy that includes a teacher acting as an example, making slogans or yelling, continuous supervision of students, and providing positive examples. Meanwhile, SD Islam Al-Azhar 22 Salatiga city uses a unique strategy: implementing the adab curriculum, setting an example for students, rewarding good behavior, creating pearls or slogans, monitoring through parents or peers, and becoming accustomed to good behavior in the classroom. (3) The similarity of objectives, human resources, and stakeholders are superior supporting factors for implementing school culture-based character building at SD Muhammadiyah Plus Salatiga. Infrastructure and stakeholders are supporting factors for SD Islam Al-Azhar 22 Salatiga. Meanwhile, at SD Muhammadiyah Plus, the inhibiting factors are students' parents, motivation, and the environment. And for the 22 Al-Azhar Islamic Elementary School in Salatiga, namely the external environment and the parents of students. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine 1) the implementation of coaching and mentoring in the implementation of PKA change management in Lampung Province; 2) the factors influence the management of coaching and mentoring in the implementation of Administrator Leadership Training in Lampung Province; and 3) the form of follow-up that would be carried out as an effort to improve the management of coaching and mentoring in the management of Pelatihan Kepemimpinan Administrator (PKA). This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The data in this study were obtained through questionnaires submitted to participants, mentors, and coaches with a total of 77 people. The data analysis procedure used an interactive model, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation; and Drawing conclusions and Verification. The result found that most of the Change Actions experienced obstacles in post-training implementation. To achieve optimal training results, it was necessary to improve the coaching and mentoring mechanism. Improvements that need to be carried out by activities that include appointing coaches must consider competencies as evidenced by coaching certification, coaching is carried out in building participant commitment and including Changes Action achievements in Employee Performance Targets (SKP), Determination of direct supervisors of training participants with assignments as mentors accompanied by a written commitment statement , and conduct pre-training that would be support the success of the training. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the principal's academic supervision in increasing teacher professionalism. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were principals, vice principals, and teachers. The results showed that the implementation of academic supervision by the principal was based on the need to overcome the problems of learning devices, lesson plans, learning materials, classroom management, assessment of learning outcomes, teacher discipline, and implementation of character education. In order for supervision to be carried out effectively, the principal seeks to build good relationships with teachers by fostering a sense of kinship, communicating with each other and providing information, providing motivation, and being an example for teachers. The supervision activities carried out are: 1) the supervisor and the teacher enter the classroom; 2) the teacher explains to the students the purpose of the supervisor's arrival; 3) the supervisor observes the teacher's appearance by using the observation assessment format that has been made and agreed upon; 4) during the observation the supervisor focuses on the contract agreement with the teacher. Abstract

The purpose of this classroom action research was to improve the teacher's ability in using educational game tools through visiting class. This research is a school action research with four main steps, namely: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research subjects were teachers in 2 TK under the guidance of the city of Bandar Lampung, which consisted of 10 teachers. Data collection techniques using observation and documentation techniques. Data validation with triangulation technique. The method uses qualitative data analysis. The results of the research on the ability of teachers in the initial conditions reached an average number of 57.62 with less criteria and the first cycle increased to 68.33 in sufficient criteria and in the last cycle to 80.43 in very good criteria. Individually per teacher in the initial conditions nothing has been completed, increased to 5 teachers or 50% and in the last cycle to 10 teachers or 100% and the implementation of learning in the initial conditions reached an average number of 59.17 with less criteria and the first cycle increased to 69.44 in the sufficient criteria and in the last cycle to 83.75 in the very good criteria, and individually per teacher in the initial condition not yet completed, increasing to 3 teachers or 30% and in the last cycle to 10 teachers or 100%. The conclusion is that the implementation of supervision with the class visit technique has been proven to be able to improve the ability of teachers in the 2 TK assisted by Bandar Lampung City in Semester 2 of the 2021/2022 Academic Year in the use of educational game tools (APE). Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work discipline on employee performance at the Regional Disaster Management Agency of Tambrauw Regency, West Papua Province. The data analysis method used is quantitative descriptive analysis. significant test through (t-test), using simple linear regression and coefficient of determination (R2). The population in this study were all employees of the Regional Disaster Management Agency of Tambrauw Regency, West Papua Province. All of the population involved in the sample amounted to 54 respondents. Primary data were obtained through interviews, questionnaires and documentation studies. From the results of data processing with simple linear regression analysis, the regression equation was obtained. Y = 1.115 + 0.895X, the regression coefficient value of 0.895 means that every time there is a change and addition of one percent to the work discipline variable, the employee performance variable will increase by 0.895 if the work discipline variable is zero, then employee performance has a value of 1.115. In the coefficient of determination test obtained R square 54.4.%, meaning that work discipline affects the quality of service by 54.4%, while the remaining 45.6% is influenced by other factors not analyzed in this study. Abstract

Based on the conditions in the class students are less active and think critically in the teaching and learning process. students face new contextual problems that are different from those exemplified, students have not been able to think critically and find solutions correctly. This research is based on the following problems: (a) increasing Civics learning achievement by applying the Think Pair Share cooperative learning method? (b) the effect of the Learning Method on the motivation to learn Civics?. This study uses three cycles of action research. Each round consists of four stages, namely: design, activity and observation, reflection, and revision. The target of this research is the fourth grade students of SDN Sungkai State for the academic year 2020/2021. The data obtained in the form of formative test results, observation sheets of student learning activities. From the results of the analysis obtained that student learning achievement has increased from pre-cycles that do not pass 50% pass 50%, cycle I who do not pass 30% pass 70%, cycle II does not pass 20% pass 80% and cycle III does not pass 10 % pass 90%. The conclusion of this study is that the learning method with the Think Pair Share model can have a positive effect on the achievement and learning outcomes of Class IV SDN Sungkai State Elementary School students in the 2020/2021 academic year, and this learning model can be used as an alternative model for Civics learning Keywords: Improving Learning Achievement, Think-Pair-Share, Learning Achievement

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the principal as a manager in improving the quality of teacher performance. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study research. This study's data sources came from informants, namely the principal and 1 teacher at the State Elementary School 012 Samarinda. They are collecting data using the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collected was analyzed by the stages of data reduction, data display, verification, and confirmation of conclusions. The results of the research and discussion of research problems can be concluded that the role of the principal as a manager at SD Negeri 012 Samarinda Kota has a strong and significant influence in improving the quality of teacher performance. The role of the principal as a manager in improving teacher performance at SD Negeri 012 Samarinda Kota is going well. The principal has carried out his managerial role well, namely by carrying out direct action management activities starting from time management, administrative management, management of school rules and regulations. The principal as management involves elements of the school organization from teachers to other leaders in making and making decisions. This is reflected in the arrangement of activities led by the principal and involving the staff or stop below him, including teachers in supporting his performance. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of (1) the effectiveness of the principal's leadership on teacher work performance, (2) the work environment on teacher performance, (3) the effectiveness of the principal's leadership and the work environment together on teacher work performance. This type of research uses a correlational method with a quantitative approach, including validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression analysis. The research sample was 100 teachers in 5 public high schools in the city of Samarinda which were selected by a simple random sampling technique. Based on the results of the study, it shows that (1) there is a significant influence between the effectiveness of the principal's leadership on teacher work performance by 31.20% (2) there is a significant influence on the work environment on teacher work performance by 30.70%, (3) there is a jointly significant influence between the effectiveness of the principal's leadership and the work environment on the teacher's work performance is 31.60%. The implication of this research is that teachers will have high work performance, if the leader provides effective leadership to the school he leads, in addition to improving the work performance of the principal by paying attention to the teacher's work environment. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the decision-making used by leaders in Pondok Pesantren, also known as pesantren, because of their substantial impact on official educational institutions. To achieve its goals, various organizations that oversee Islamic boarding schools use various methodologies and standards for decision making. Design, implementation, and assessment of decision making are the main topics of this research. The method known as descriptive qualitative is applied in this study. Interviews, documentation, and observations were used to collect data. Data reduction, data presentation, and data verification are data analysis methods used. In this study, the aim is to determine the design in decision making, to determine the decision-making process and to determine the assessment criteria used by the leadership. The results show that: first, design decision-making involves processes such as team building, needs analysis, program design, program socialization, and process assessment; second, the purpose of design decision-making is to improve the quality of management. Second, the use of the decision-making process by leaders can be observed in the improvement of human resources, where they focus and highlight this particular issue as it is closely related to school administration standards. Third, the leader's performance is assessed either directly or indirectly through conversation. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to conduct REBT counseling interventions for LGBT actors. REBT counseling intervention was carried out through the A-B-C-D technique with the procedure of changing respondents from irrational beliefs to rational beliefs. The method used is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observations, documentation studies, and audio-visual information. Data analysis through data triangulation techniques, synthesizing, analyzing, interpreting data, and making conclusions in the final narrative in the form of propositions. The conclusions of the study were that the REBT counseling intervention resulted in behavioral changes, namely 1) respondents asked to be guided gently, not harshly, verbally, or bullying; 2) respondents improve the quality of their worship by regularly participating in spiritual activities, respondents become more religious as a result of the painful events they experience; 3) respondents try to reduce sexual activity with same-sex, in general respondents are still in a romantic relationship, but romance by not engaging in sexual relations anymore, respondents trying to reduce the intensity of sexual contact.
