Abstract

This study aims to develop the Observe, Listen, Read, and Tell (ADaBta) learning model to enhance basic literacy and the character of responsibility among Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model—Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate—this study systematically designed and tested the model. Validity was assessed by five experts through CVR and CVI analyses, while practicality was examined via teacher and student questionnaires. Effectiveness was analyzed using MANOVA. The findings reveal that the ADaBta model is highly valid, with average CVR and CVI values of 1.00, and highly practical, with teacher responses averaging 91.59% and student responses 91.39%. The model also proved effective in improving basic literacy (ES = 1.087), responsibility character (ES = 1.813), and both aspects simultaneously (ES = 0.947). The ADaBta model aligns with the needs of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students by integrating local folklore and national heroes from Lombok, combined with activity-based multisensory learning. Theoretically, this research contributes to the development of activity-based learning approaches, demonstrating that multisensory and culturally contextual strategies can enhance both literacy and character values simultaneously. Practically, the ADaBta model serves as a structured guide for teachers to implement engaging, relevant, and efficient learning processes at elementary levels. Socially, the model supports national literacy and character education movements by fostering competent, responsible learners and promoting contextual, meaningful education for Indonesian students

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of emotion regulation on mindful parenting among parents of young children and to investigate the moderating role of social support in this relationship. A quantitative approach with a non-experimental causal-associative design was employed. The sample consisted of 202 parents of children aged 3–6 years who were enrolled in Raudhatul Athfal (RA) schools in Metro City, Lampung, Indonesia. Data were collected using a questionnaire comprising the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) to assess emotion regulation, the Interpersonal Mindfulness in Parenting Scale (IM-P) to measure mindful parenting, and the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) to evaluate social support. Data were analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The findings revealed that emotion regulation had a positive and significant effect on mindful parenting (β = 0.56, p < .001). Social support also showed a positive and significant effect on mindful parenting (β = 0.41, p < .001). Furthermore, the moderation analysis indicated that social support significantly strengthened the relationship between emotion regulation and mindful parenting (p = .009). These findings suggest that mindful parenting is influenced by both internal parental factors, such as emotion regulation, and external contextual factors, such as social support. Therefore, enhancing parents’ emotion regulation skills and strengthening social support from family and community environments are important strategies for promoting more mindful and responsive parenting practices during early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the urgency, identify the challenges, and reformulate (reframe) multicultural Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in the context of secondary school learning in facing the phenomenon of digital polarization. The approach used is a systematic literature review (SLR) with conceptual-thematic analysis based on the PRISMA framework of 21 selected articles that specifically focus on the context of secondary education, gathered from the Scopus database within the period 2016–2026. This study is also reinforced by fundamental literature related to Islamic education, multiculturalism, digital literacy, and algorithmic culture. The results reveal three main findings. First, digital polarization not only causes fragmentation of religious discourse but also drives a shift in authority to the digital space and strengthens tendencies toward exclusivism, thus requiring a reorientation of PAI towards dialogical, reflective, and inclusive learning. Second, the development of multicultural PAI faces multidimensional challenges that include epistemological aspects (the dominance of textual-doctrinal approaches), pedagogical aspects (limited critical digital literacy and teachers’ dialogical capacities), as well as structural aspects (the influence of algorithmic culture that creates echo chambers and cognitive biases). Third, a comprehensive strategy is needed, encompassing the reconstruction of the PAI paradigm, the development of an integrative curriculum based on multiculturalism and critical digital literacy, the design of dialogical-participatory learning, the strengthening of teacher competencies, and cross-stakeholder collaboration. This study produces an integrative and adaptive instructional design model for multicultural PAI, covering components of learning challenges, instructional interventions, stages of the learning process, as well as learning outcomes and assessments. This model provides practical contributions as an operational framework for the development of PAI curriculum and learning design that is responsive to the dynamics of digital polarization.

Abstract

The dynamics of the disruptive era require madrasas to reorient their pedagogy through the utilization of digital ecosystems without neglecting religious identity. This study aims to analyze strategies for accelerating teacher professionalism within the framework of Sharia-based Digital Pedagogical Transformation at Madrasah Aliyah Al Muhajirin Purwakarta. The method used was a qualitative descriptive case study, where data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies of leaders and teaching staff. Data analysis was carried out interactively, including data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions with validity testing through source triangulation. The results show that the digital pedagogical transformation at MA Al Muhajirin was successfully accelerated through the internalization of Sharia values that position technological mastery as intellectual jihad and digital ethics as a manifestation of muraqabah. The implemented managerial strategy integrates digital literacy policies into the Islamic boarding school culture, thus creating an innovative, transparent, and accountable learning ecosystem. Educators not only experienced increased technical skills but also strengthened moral integrity in managing interactions in cyberspace. The implications of this research offer a Digital-Syar'i transformation model as a strategic reference for Islamic educational institutions in modernizing teacher governance that is adaptive yet rooted in moral excellence. The success of this model confirms that spiritual values can be a primary catalyst for accelerating teacher professionalism in the digital era

Abstract

This This mixed-methods study explores how numeracy literacy, multilingual literacy, and supportive leadership for well-being influence students’ academic achievement in Indonesian higher education. Motivated by low national performance in literacy and mathematics, the study used a sequential explanatory design to integrate quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. Findings show that numeracy literacy has the most substantial effect, enhancing students’ analytical capabilities; multilingual literacy improves comprehension of diverse academic sources; and supportive leadership fosters psychological well-being and motivation. Regression analysis revealed a strong predictive model (Adjusted R² = 0.906), with all three variables showing significant impacts. Qualitative insights confirmed students' perceptions of these factors as critical for academic success. The study emphasizes the need for holistic strategies combining literacy development and emotionally supportive leadership. It concludes that empowering students with numeracy, multilingual proficiency, and psychosocially responsive leadership is vital for advancing educational outcomes in higher education

Abstract

This study explores the complex dynamics of Arabic and Sasak language contestation within religiolinguistic practices of the Mataram Muslim community across digital platforms. Employing a netnographic methodology grounded in interpretive-constructivist epistemology, this research examines how language choices function as markers of religious authority, cultural identity, and social positioning in online religious discourse. Data were collected from six digital platforms over twelve months, generating a corpus of 2,847 posts and 15,324 comments. Through thematic analysis, critical discourse analysis, and semiotic interpretation, this study reveals three major patterns: (1) language stratification whereby Arabic language accumulates religious authority while Sasak language signifies local legitimacy and accessibility; (2) creative hybridity and strategic code-switching as mechanisms through which communities actively negotiate linguistic power relations; and (3) implicit contestation wherein community members resist linguistic hierarchization through subtle rhetorical strategies. Theoretically, this research advances understanding of how Muslim communities perform postcolonial religiolinguistic identity within algorithmically mediated spaces. Practically, findings underscore the importance of culturally responsive approaches to digital religiosity, with implications for Islamic education, content creation, and digital literacy. This research contributes to closing the gap in scholarly literature regarding how Southeast Asian Muslim communities authentically construct and transform religious identity through linguistically mediated digital practices.

Abstract

Islamic microfinance institutions operate in an increasingly challenging environment characterized by competition, digitalization, and limited internal resources, making employee retention a strategic concern for organizational sustainability. This study examines the effects of employee well-being and digital social capital on employee retention, with resilience serving as a mediating variable, among employees of Baitul Maal wat Tamwil (BMT) in the former Banyumas Residency. The research framework integrates Job Demands–Resources (JD-R) Theory and Conservation of Resources (COR) Theory to explain the relationships among job resources, personal resources, and retention decisions. A quantitative survey was conducted involving 190 BMT employees with a minimum tenure of one year. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS). The findings reveal that employee well-being and digital social capital positively and significantly influence both employee retention and resilience. However, resilience was found to have a negative effect on employee retention. Furthermore, resilience mediates the relationships between employee well-being and retention, as well as between digital social capital and retention. These results suggest that in Islamic microfinance institutions characterized by high work demands and limited career development opportunities, highly resilient employees may be more prepared to pursue career mobility. The study highlights the importance of balancing the development of individual resources with adequate organizational support to enhance employee retention and ensure long-term organizational sustainability
