Abstract

Based on initial observations, researchers found that the majority of students had difficulty learning Economics material because there was a lot of material to study, so they became passive in participating in learning activities. Many of them are less interested and are busy with other activities such as playing on their cellphones, feeling sleepy, or chatting alone with friends. This has an impact on student learning outcomes. To overcome this problem and create technology-based 21st century learning and increase students' understanding in aspects of knowledge, research was conducted with the aim of testing the effectiveness of implementing the economic flipbook e-module learning media using the PBL learning model in improving the learning outcomes of class X students at SMAN 3 Mojokerto City. The sample for this research consisted of students in classes X4 & X5, totaling 36 students. The research method used is a descriptive quantitative approach with experimental research using the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design model. This research model consists of two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. Students from both groups were given pretest and post-test questions. The results of the N-Gain score test show that the average score of the control group did not show a significant increase and was less effective in improving student learning outcomes. The average N-Gain Score value in the control group was 0.41 or an N-Gain Score (%) of 41.09%, so it was categorized as moderate and interpreted as less effective. Meanwhile, the experimental group showed different results. Their N-Gain Score value is 0.85 or N-Gain Core (%) of 85.42%, so the use of economic flipbook e-modules with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model is categorized as high and interpreted as effective.

Abstract

This research aims to discover and describe some of the learners' perceptions of English online learning. This research’s approach or design is qualitative, carried out in two stages. All the eleventh grade high school participants were given an online questionnaire in the first stage. Then in the second stage, several participants were interviewed to clarify the research result. Based on the research result, students had several perceptions about English online learning. The first perception, students stated that the learning environment between English online learning and face to face learning is so different. They also added that the interaction in English online learning did not go well. The third perception, students said that the assignments given during English online learning were so many that they were less than optimal in doing assignments. Lastly, students revealed that when English online learning, they prefer to deliver material using videos and tend not to read the material. In brief, this research discover several students’ perception during their online learning, they are the differentiation of the learning environment, the interaction in English online learning didn’t go well, too many assignments given in online learning makes students less optimal, and students prefer to deliver material using videos.

Abstract

Technological developments in the digital era have implications for global information openness. We can easily find information from all parts of the world. Along with this development, there is a problem that is quite crucial, namely related to the protection of personal data of communication service users. The purpose of writing this article is to determine the legal protection for personal data of telecommunications service users. This article was written using normative legal research methods with a statutory approach. The results of this research show that personal data is part of the right to privacy which is included in human rights so its protection must be guaranteed by law. Misuse of personal data is a form of information technology crime that can be subject to criminal sanctions.

Abstract

The old Indonesian Criminal Code, which is a translation of Wetboek van Strafrecht for Nederlandsch Indie, has provided regulations regarding the abuse of animals. However, so far there are still many cases of animal abuse, because people consider this act to be trivial and the criminal sanctions are not too severe. The aim of writing this article is to find out appropriate and strict rules to prevent animal abuse. This article was written using a normative legal research method with a statutory approach. The results of this research are that regulations regarding animal abuse should be equipped with more specific regulations and heavier sanctions so that they can run effectively.

Abstract

Background: society's perception of Down syndrome in early working adults . Objective: to determine the public's perception of Down syndrome in early adulthood. Method: the source of the article used was obtained from a search via Google Scholar. A literature search with the same theme contained 17,700 articles and filtering was carried out according to the theme, including 17 articles. Article searches are limited from 2019-2024. After the article is obtained, the article is reviewed until it reaches the stage of creating a systematic review. The keywords used in the article search are " Perception" "Public" "Down Syndrome" "Early Adulthood" . Results: society's perception of Down syndrome in early adulthood is shrouded in stigma and bad perceptions even occur in their families. Conclusion: Individuals with Down syndrome , from children to adults, are part of society. Even though they are often seen with stigma and negative perceptions because of their physical differences, they still need support and understanding from their surrounding environment. Their enthusiasm and adaptability allow them to live and participate in daily activities like any other individual

Abstract

One crucial element in advancing education is the presence of educators with high professionalism. Considering the rough overview of the current condition of teachers, the situation is very concerning due to their low motivation and competence. Addressing this, this research aims to: (1) Examining the impact of teacher motivation on the success of teacher certification policy implementation; (2) Evaluate teacher competence in the success of implementing the teacher professional certification policy; (3) Investigate the combined influence of motivation and teacher competence on the success of implementing the teacher professional certification policy. The research analysis unit is in the Kebonpedes Subdistrict of Sukabumi Regency. The research subjects are certified teachers. A total of 66 individuals, equivalent to 50% of the total population of 132 individuals, were selected as samples. The eeffectiveness of implementing the teacher professional certification policy is proven to be influenced by the level of motivation and competence of the teachers.

Abstract

The participatory approach in village development prioritizes the active role of the community as the main actors, with full involvement in every stage of development, from planning to evaluation. This concept is based on the capabilities and self-reliance of the community, as well as continuous learning built from their experiences, ensuring that village development aligns more closely with the community's capabilities and progress. This study employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach to understand community participation in Tanjung Medan Village, South Labuhan Batu Regency. Data were collected through direct observation, surveys, and interviews with the village head and the community. The results show that although the community participates in gotong royong activities and program evaluations, there is dissatisfaction with the village government's transparency, particularly regarding budget reporting. Improvements in the evaluation and monitoring phases are needed to enhance the effectiveness of the participatory approach

Abstract

In realizing just and prosperous social welfare, as well as in improving the community's economy through Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) in Cinta Rakyat Village, the role of the village government is needed to ensure the welfare of its people. The aim of this research is to determine the role of the Cinta Rakyat Village Government in distributing food aid to improve community welfare. The research method used is a qualitative method and a descriptive approach, where this research was carried out using interview techniques and sources were found directly in the field. The results of this research are that the role of government in Cinta Rakyat Village is quite good in distributing food aid.

Abstract

Background: There is a growing need for courts to implement electronic-based administration, or E-Court, as technology advances. Objective: To understand, study and analyze whether PERMA Number 7 of 2022 regarding Electronic Administration and Trial of Cases in Court complies with Indonesian civil procedural law principles. Method: Qualitative research with a normative legal perspective demonstrates that e-court use can typically increase judicial efficiency. Result: Some applications are still opposite from the principles of civil procedural law, HIR and RBG. This condition can be seen in the implementation of the principle of open hearings to the public in the court, the application of the Nemo Judex Idoneus in Propria Causa principle, and SEMA 1 of 2023 concerning Surat Tercatat (Registered Letters), which violate the provisions in the HIR and RBG. Conclusion: This situation makes sense because it will take time to create new civil procedural laws and there is an urgent need to improve the court's efficacy and efficiency.

Abstract

It is very important that students' interest in reading influences their learning outcomes, because a high interest in reading allows a person to understand the basics of science perfectly. The aim of this research is to what extent students increase their willingness to read to understand articles at PGRI Banyuwangi University in order to get the expected results from the research. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Data was obtained from active students in the Guidance and Counseling study program at PGRI Banyuwangi University who attended lectures from the 2nd and 4th semesters of the 2022 and 2023 classes. Qualitative research collected data by observation and interviews. The PGRI Banyuwangi University Guidance and Counseling Study Program class of 2022 and 2023 still do not understand how to read articles well and also as a requirement to support completing lecture assignments. With this, we still don't understand what is being done and what the student understands. Reading more articles is searched on the Google Scholar site than on other websites. The results show that to avoid laziness in reading, students must first understand how they learn and change their behavior to create a personalized learning plan. Stimulus given by lecturers to students who want to read articles for lectures and other assignments, so that they can gain knowledge about the articles they read while increasing their understanding of both the material and its content.
