Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling services using the Motivational Interviewing technique in increasing grit among final-year students. The research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method using a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The participants consisted of 8 eighth-semester BKPI-2 students who were selected based on low grit levels and their willingness to participate in group counseling. The data collection instrument used a grit scale that measured two main aspects: perseverance and consistency of interest. The analysis results showed a significant increase in grit scores before and after the intervention, as evidenced by the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test (sig. value = 0.012 < 0.05). Thus, group counseling services using the Motivational Interviewing technique proved to be effective in enhancing grit among final-year students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine gender representation in teacher-student interaction during Sociology learning at the secondary school level through the Critical Discourse Analysis (AWK) approach of Sara Mills. In the context of education, verbal and nonverbal interactions between teachers and students play an important role in shaping social identity, including gender identity. The results of the study show that in learning practice, there is still a tendency for teachers to reproduce gender stereotypes implicitly and explicitly, such as men's association with leadership and rationality, and women with affection, appearance, and domestic duties. Data collection was carried out by analyzing Sociology learning videos uploaded on TikTok social media. It was found that the language used by teachers was not neutral, but rather loaded with patriarchal ideologies that reinforced traditional gender roles. This hinders the function of education as a means of social liberation. Therefore, critical reflection and teacher training with a gender perspective are needed so that Sociology learning can become a fair and transformative space. This research contributes theoretical and practical insights in building gender-equal class interactions, while strengthening the role of education in creating a more just and inclusive society.

Abstract

The problem in this research is that students' interest in learning is still relatively low. Some students seemed unfocused, paid little attention to the teacher, and were busy playing alone during the lesson, especially during the second lesson. This indicates a lack of a pleasant learning atmosphere and a lack of active participation from students. This low interest in learning can also be caused by the teacher's teaching style which is monotonous, less varied, and does not adapt to the needs and characteristics of students. Students' moods, as well as limited facilities and infrastructure at school, are also factors that influence their enthusiasm for learning. Students' interest in learning can be reflected in the way they follow lessons, pay attention to teachers, and interact in the learning process. In carrying out their duties, teachers have various important roles such as educators, instructors, mentors, leaders, motivators, facilitators and evaluators. According to Slameto in Rifal (2022), teachers must be able to provide encouragement, inspiration and motivation to their students so that they feel enthusiastic about developing their potential. Teachers must continue to develop their professionalism so that they are able to carry out their roles effectively according to the demands of the times and the needs of students

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia pada siswa kelas III SDN 227/VIII Tirta Kencana melalui penerapan model Game Based Learning (GBL) berbantu media Wordwall. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang masing-masing terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 16 siswa, terdiri atas 10 laki-laki dan 6 perempuan. Proses pembelajaran memanfaatkan Wordwall sebagai media digital interaktif berupa kuis dan permainan edukatif untuk mendukung ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi, tes hasil belajar, serta dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada kinerja pendidik, dari rata-rata 82,5% pada siklus I menjadi 92,5% pada siklus II. Aktivitas belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dari rata-rata 68,5% pada siklus I menjadi 90,6% pada siklus II. Sementara itu, hasil tes belajar siswa meningkat dari 62,5% siswa yang tuntas pada siklus I menjadi 93,75% pada siklus II. Peningkatan ini membuktikan bahwa penerapan GBL berbantu Wordwall mampu meningkatkan motivasi, partisipasi, serta pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, integrasi model GBL dan media Wordwall terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas proses maupun hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia. Model ini dapat menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran inovatif yang menyenangkan, interaktif, serta relevan dengan tuntutan pendidikan abad ke-21, khususnya pada pembelajaran di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) berbantu media Wordwall. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 192/II Sungai Buluh dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri atas dua pertemuan dengan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 20 siswa yang terdiri dari 10 siswa laki-laki dan 10 siswa perempuan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan menghitung persentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran guru, aktivitas siswa, dan ketuntasan hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja pendidik mengalami peningkatan dari kategori baik pada siklus I menjadi sangat baik pada siklus II, yang mencerminkan adanya pengelolaan kelas yang lebih optimal sesuai sintaks model STAD berbantu Wordwall. Aktivitas siswa juga meningkat, dari kategori cukup pada siklus I menjadi baik pada siklus II, yang menunjukkan keterlibatan, motivasi, dan kolaborasi siswa yang lebih tinggi. Selain itu, ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa meningkat secara signifikan, yaitu dari 65% pada siklus I menjadi 85% pada siklus II. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa penerapan model STAD berbantu Wordwall efektif dalam meningkatkan proses pembelajaran sekaligus hasil belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, model ini dapat dijadikan alternatif strategi pembelajaran inovatif yang berorientasi pada pembelajaran aktif, kolaboratif, dan berbasis teknologi sesuai dengan tuntutan Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

Abstract This research adopts women's empowerment found in the film Gangubai Kathiawadi that focusing on female sex workers who are often marginalized by society. The study investigates two primary issues: the types of women empowerments and the techniques employed by the main character to empower herself, the sex workers, and their daughters. This study utilizes a descriptive qualitative method grounded in feminist theory and Mandal’s empowerment framework. The findings reveal that the film illustrates various forms of empowerment, including social, educational, and political empowerment. The main character employs empowering techniques, such as standing behind women, standing up for them, giving them confidence, and acting as a sister. Abstract

Fore Coffee Kediri faces challenges in maximizing environment-based marketing strategies and social recommendations, despite favorite menu items like Es Aren Latte and Es Pandan Latte selling out within 6 hours per day. However, low attention to green input, process, and output aspects, as well as suboptimal utilization of word of mouth (WOM), causes purchase intention and purchase decisions to remain suboptimal. This study aims to examine the influence of green product and WOM on purchase decisions, with purchase intention as an intervening variable. The method used is a quantitative survey with 160 active consumer respondents of Fore Coffee Kediri, analyzed using SEM-PLS. The research results show that green product does not have a significant direct influence on purchase decisions, but significantly influences purchase intention. Similarly, WOM does not directly influence purchase decisions, but is significant toward purchase intention. Purchase intention is proven to significantly influence purchase decisions, and significantly mediates the influence of green product and WOM on purchase decisions. This model explains 83.3% of purchase decision variability and 22.3% of purchase intention variables. These findings confirm the importance of strategies that strengthen purchase intention to maximize purchase decisions among Fore Coffee Kediri consumers.

Abstract

P This research aims to improve the process and outcomes of Indonesian learning through the application of a cooperative learning model of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type in grade IV of SDN 100/II Muara Bungo. The research method used is Class Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles. The research subjects amounted to 26 students. Data was collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in both process aspects and learning outcomes. In the first cycle, the achievement of student learning outcomes was 72% with the adequate category, while in the second cycle it increased to 88% with the good category. The application of the TGT model has been proven to be able to create a more active, interactive, and fun learning atmosphere, so that it can increase students' motivation and learning outcomes in Indonesian subjects.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning interest and participation of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 41/II Laman Panjang in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS). Conventional teaching methods and limited learning media made it difficult for students to understand the material and actively participate in discussions and group activities. This study aims to investigate how the implementation of the Number Head Together (NHT) model assisted by audiovisual media can improve the learning process and students’ learning interest in IPAS. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach with 13 fourth-grade students as the subjects. The study was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings. Research instruments included teacher observation sheets, student observation sheets, and a learning interest questionnaire. The results showed significant improvements in both aspects observed. In terms of the teacher’s performance, the implementation of teaching indicators increased from 55.56% in the first meeting of cycle I to 94.44% in the second meeting of cycle II. Regarding student activity, learning participation improved from mostly adequate/good in cycle I to good/very good in cycle II. Students’ learning interest also increased; in cycle I, 23.1% of students were in the very good category and 46.2% in the good category, while in cycle II, 38.5% were very good and 46.2% were good, with no students in the low category. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Number Head Together model assisted by audiovisual media is effective in enhancing the learning process and increasing the learning interest of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 41/II Laman Panjang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of community empowerment in the management of community-based mangrove ecotourism in Teluk Semanting Tourism Village, Berau Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, referring to seven stages of empowerment, namely: preparation, review, alternative program planning, performance of action plans, implementation, evaluation, and termination. Data was obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study show that empowerment is carried out in stages and participatory, resulting in strengthening local institutions, increasing the capacity of MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises) processed marine and mangrove products, and growing ecological awareness of the community. The termination process also indicates an increase in community independence in managing ecotourism in a sustainable manner
