Abstract

This study examines the influence of business duration, education level, and business turnover on financial recordkeeping practices among micro enterprises in Waru District, Sidoarjo. The research was motivated by the low adoption of standardized financial reporting among micro-entrepreneurs, where most businesses still rely on simple and irregular bookkeeping. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 84 micro-enterprise owners registered with a valid Business Identification Number (NIB). The analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS to evaluate the relationship between the independent variables and financial recordkeeping. The findings reveal that education level and business turnover have a positive and significant effect on financial recordkeeping, indicating that higher educational attainment and greater turnover encourage micro-entrepreneurs to adopt more structured bookkeeping practices. In contrast, business duration does not significantly affect financial recordkeeping, suggesting that longer operational experience alone does not enhance financial administration capabilities. The model demonstrates weak-to-moderate predictive power, with an R² value of 0.295. These results highlight the importance of improving entrepreneurs’ financial literacy and encouraging greater use of accounting practices to strengthen micro-enterprise financial management. The study provides insights for policymakers and stakeholders to design targeted interventions that support the development of standardized bookkeeping among micro enterprises.

Abstract

The daily life use of household chemicals is inevitable. Household products like household cleaning products, floor cleaners, disinfection water, rinsing water, and fabric bleach are more often used in the household operation. As attitudes toward chemical risks are the products of knowledge, experience, and cultural values of gender roles, they are quite subjective. It is worth mentioning also that this research has scientific urgency in an interdisciplinary context, especially in gender studies, public health and environmental psychology. This research uses a quantitative method as well as an analytical survey by discussing gender and feelings of household chemicals. This technique allows the researcher to gather and analyze data on a more scientific level in order to detect correlations between the variables. Based on the results of the quantitative analysis, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between gender and the perception of household chemicals among housewives and fathers.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology and the growing complexity of citizenship challenges in the digital era highlight the need to revitalise Civic Education based on a strong philosophical foundation. This study analyses Udin S. Winataputra’s philosophical framework on the concept of smart and good citizenship and examines its relevance for strengthening Civic Education in Indonesia. Using a qualitative library research method, this study draws primarily from Winataputra’s 2001 dissertation and supplements it with contemporary scholarly works on citizenship, digital literacy, and civic virtue. The findings show that Winataputra’s concept integrates cognitive competencies (smart) with moral–character dispositions (good), forming a holistic paradigm for civic development. This dual framework aligns with global discussions on transformative citizenship, digital ethics, and democratic education. The study concludes that Winataputra’s philosophical contributions provide a significant foundation for redesigning Civic Education to cultivate responsible, critical, and ethically aware citizens in the digital age. Implications for curriculum development and digital citizenship education are also discussed.

Abstract

This study examines the creative practices of experimental percussion communities in Bandung that utilize found and recycled objects as sound-producing instruments. The research aims to understand how these communities explore, modify, and construct rhythms from non-conventional materials, and how their creativity is shaped by social interaction, aesthetic values, and environmental awareness. Using a qualitative approach through participant observation and in-depth interviews with community members, artists, and instrument makers, the study reveals that the transformation of discarded objects into percussion instruments generates unique sound innovations and fosters strong communal solidarity. The practice also creates an alternative cultural space where creativity, collaboration, and ecological consciousness intersect. Furthermore, experimentation with recycled objects functions as an expressive, educational, and environmentally engaged artistic medium. These findings demonstrate that recycled-based experimental percussion plays a significant role in shaping Bandung’s contemporary art ecosystem and promoting sustainable creative practices.

Abstract

This paper reports a quantitative research on CM Christian forgiveness, reconciliation, and life in GMIM churches in Indonesia. This study examines the actualization of theological beliefs regarding forgiveness in daily relationships using a cross-sectional survey of adult members of various congregations and their role in the vitality of congregations. The concept of forgiveness is heavily asserted as a non-negotiable Christian ministry, and it is commonly experienced as peace in the soul. Respondents associated the forgiveness of other people with obedience to God and the release of anger and bitterness, and they considered other spiritual practices, such as prayer, to be relevant supports towards release. Simultaneously, the participants have a reticent and discriminating attitude: they note that they find it more demanding to forgive serious or recurrent crimes, and they always distinguish between intrapersonal forgiveness and interpersonal reconciliation. It is typically considered that reconciliation would only be acceptable where there is repentance, change of behavior, and relational safety, and in most cases under the mediation of pastors or elders. The sense of congregational climate indicates that teaching forgiveness is perceived to be consistent and clear, and practices of conflict handling and leadership modelling are perceived to be uneven. The patterns of correlation show that a better sense of belonging, perceived unity, and active engagement in ministries are linked to stronger forgiveness and reconciliation orientations. This study concludes that forgiveness and reconciliation are not just theological principles but also practical sources of congregational well-being and valuable tools in Christian witness in a plural and postcolonial society.

Abstract

TikTok has become an influential platform for discovering tourism recommendations in Indonesia, particularly through high-engagement accounts such as @jktgo. Despite its engagement rate of 4.27%, tourist visits to Jakarta have declined, indicating a potential gap between online engagement and behavioral intention. This study investigates the effect of engagement with TikTok tourism promotional content on followers’ intention to visit Jakarta. Guided by the Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM), this research employed a quantitative explanatory design and surveyed 400 @jktgo followers selected using purposive sampling. The study analyzes data using validity and reliability tests, normality testing, correlation analysis, simple linear regression, and the coefficient of determination. The results show that content engagement significantly influences visiting intention, with an R Square value of 0.711, showing that 71.1% of the variance in visiting intention is explained by engagement. The findings confirm that TikTok engagement can shape behavioral intention via both central and peripheral processing routes. This study highlights the strategic role of TikTok as a tourism promotion tool and offers insights for stakeholders to enhance digital tourism marketing initiatives.
