The ISM Code or International Safety Management Code is an international regulation developed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to improve safety and reduce the risk of accidents on ships traveling around the world. This regulation regulates operational and administrative standards to prevent accidents at sea and protect the health and safety of crew, passengers, and the marine environment. The purpose of this study is to determine the application of the International Safety Management Code (ISM) on PT AKR's sea transportation. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method by conducting direct interviews with PT AKR Sea Transport personnel regarding the application of the ISM Code on the company's vessels. The results of the study indicate that PT AKR Sea Transport implements the ISM Code effectively and efficiently and has successfully met the requirements set out in the ISM Code. However, there are still some things that need to be addressed, especially related to the lack of awareness of company employees of the importance of implementing the ISM Code. This study concludes that the implementation of the ISM Code is important for the safety of PT AKR Sea Transport vessels and the welfare of employees and must be consistent and sustainable to maintain an optimal level of safety on company vessels

This study proposes integration between the BLU-e (Electronic Test Pass Proof) system and the Ferizy application to mitigate Over Dimension Over Load (ODOL) vehicles at the Merak Crossing Port. ODOL can endanger the safety of passengers and drivers. The merger of the two systems aims to identify vehicles that violate the dimensions and permitted cargo and prevent them from entering ships at the port. This study explains the concept of ODOL, dimensional and payload limitations, and the importance of vehicle weighing. The proposed method involves inputting class and vehicle class data into the Ferizy app during ticket purchase, then cross-checking with BLU-e data and physical inspection by officers. ODOL vehicles will be detected and prohibited from using crossing services while being warned. This integration is expected to improve security and compliance with ODOL regulations at the Merak Crossing Port.

In the modern era of the maritime world, the learning process related to ship machinery is essential and crucial for students to master. So many effective learning methods are used, one of which is the learning method using machining aids on ships. Therefore, making ship machining aids is an exciting thing to work on in this modern era. The type of teaching aid made by the author is a solenoid valve controlled by Arduino on a freshwater generator teaching aid. The method used is research and development, a process or steps to develop a new product or improve an existing product, both hardware and software. The model in this development research is a procedural model, which outlines the manufacturing steps exposed sequentially and gradually from the beginning to the end. The solenoid valve control model by Arduino on the freshwater generator teaching aid utilizes two electronic modules: the Arduino Uno type module and the one-channel timer delay relay module. The two modules are programmed directly with the buttons on the module. The working system in this prop is that the heater is filled with water and then heated, and then the water vapor is flowed through the transfer pipe and condensed using a condensor and holding tank. This system can run because of the automation control system in the electronic module.

The education sector is included in the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, thus encouraging adaptation activities to prevent the spread of the outbreak face-to-face learning in class is abolished and all learning is transferred to the network. This change in learning methods is certainly very influential on cadets in receiving and understanding learning materials from lecturers. This research was conducted to describe the cadet’s perception of the Djadajat Maritime Academy on the effectiveness of online learning. This study's research design makes use of qualitative research. Data was collected by questionnaire and was analyzed from percentage of tabulations data. The results show that online learning according to the cadets' perception is considered to have many limitations and is still less effective

Traffic density at the port loading terminal is a critical factor affecting the port's operational efficiency and overall performance. To overcome the challenges of the complexity of the traffic system at the port terminal, a discrete simulation approach is adopted in this study. A quantitative approach is used to collect data and accurately model traffic processes. This study aims to develop a predictive model of traffic density at Tanjung Emas port loading terminals using a discrete simulation methods quantitative approach. The results showed that the resulting traffic density prediction model has high accuracy and can be used as a predictive tool to assist decision-making in optimizing port loading terminal operations

Kelaiklautan Kapal adalah keadaan kapal yang memenuhi persyaratan keselamatan kapal, pencegahan pencemaran perairan dari kapal, pengawakan, garis muat, pemuatan, kesejahteraan Awak Kapal dan kesehatan penumpang, status hukum kapal, manajemen keselamatan dan pencegahan pencemaran dari kapal, dan manajemen keamanan kapal untuk berlayar di perairan tertentu. Namun dalam pengoperasian kapal masih banyak ditemukan kapal yang belum layak laut, namun tetap dipaksakan untuk berlayar karena dalam menentukan sebuah kapal laik laut belum secara utuh dan maksimal karena sifatnya terkadang belum jelas. Maka dari itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sertifikat keselamatan kapal, untuk mengetahui proses penerbitan sertifikat kapal oleh Kementerian Perhubungan. Manfaat penelitian mengetahui dan menambah pengetahuan tentang status hukum kapal dalam rangka menciptakan keselamatan berlayar dan juga. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan cara mengumpulkan data data dari studi pustaka, dokumen dan data diskriptif dari tulisan dari beberapa sumber dan juga sumber dari pihak pihak yang ada didalam proses penerbitan sertifikat keselamatan kapal. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa proses penerbitan sertifikat keselamatan kapal dalam pengajuannya harus melihat expired date, pengajuan permohonan tersebut diajukan ke KSOP lalu pada melalui bidang SHSK menunjuk Marine Inspector untuk melakukan pemeriksaan kapal dan mendapat data kapal untuk persyaratan penerbitan sertifikat keselamatan kapal. Keterlambatan penerbitan terjadi karena adanya ketidaksesuaian data oleh PPKK maka seharusnya selalu memperbaharui data data diatas kapal berdasarkan kenyataan yang ada.

Working on a fishing vessel is work that is classified as dangerous and is prone to causing work accidents. The causes of accidents on fishing vessels are low crew awareness regarding work safety in shipping and fishing activities, low mastery of navigation and fishing safety competencies, ships are not equipped with safety equipment as they should be. Bad weather such as big waves and lack of knowledge and skills in using work safety equipment. Data collection was carried out by direct observation and interviews with fishermen in Ciincing. This research aims to find out the picture of the mental safety of Cilincing fishermen when going to sea. The results of this research show that the types of accidents frequently experienced by Cilincing fishermen are slips, bumps, falls into the sea, leaking boats, engine propellers caught in rubbish, sinking boats and ship collisions. The causes of work accidents experienced by Cilincing fishermen are a lack of skills in avoiding safety, incomplete safety equipment, inadequate vessels and a lack of navigational aids. The level of knowledge of Cilincing fishing fishermen about life safety is quite good because they often receive safety training and life safety equipment at sea. There are some fishermen who rely on traditional knowledge about sea safety based on experience passed down from their ancestors and combining knowledge. knowledge gained through government outreach.

Installation of the sideboard assemblies on a 300 feet barge requires an estimate of the need for welding wire, besides that an estimate of the need for oxygen and LPG gas is also required for the work of cutting the old sideboard. This is so that the repair work does not experience errors in estimating the amount of consumables used so as not to result in losses for the shipyard company. The objectives obtained during the research were to determine the need for welding wire in the welding process of the 300 feet barge sideboard. The design of this study uses a quantitative approach and there are several variables used including independent variables such as the thickness of the material, the length of the welding, and cutting areas. Dependent variables such as the number of electrodes, oxygen, and LPG gas used. Control variables such as the SMAW welding process using AWS A5.1 E6013 electrodes and cutting using an oxygen and LPG gas cutting blender. The data collection techniques in this study were literature study, observation, and interviews. Based on the calculation, the total need for welding wire for the installation of the 300 feet sideboard assembly is 95.87 kg total oxygen requirement of 241.51 kg and LPG gas of 177.35 kg for cutting the old sideboard.

Marine pollution that occurs due to ship waste increasingly threatens Indonesian waters. Sources of marine pollution are caused by shipping and port activities. Handling this pollution must be carried out with facilities and infrastructure holding marine pollution in accordance with international standards on board ships and at loading and unloading ports, so competent professionals are also needed in their fields. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the readiness of shipping companies in the Tegal region to face IMO rules in the field of marine pollution prevention. The study used qualitative description methods by conducting observations, interviews, and literature. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the problem that occurred was administrative; companies related to human resources could meet competencies. Shipping agents in the Tegal area are limited to serving ship document management, while the procurement or repair of pollution prevention equipment is under the authority of the ship owner through his representative, who will conduct a survey when the ship carries out docking/repair at TUKS or Tersus. There are still docking companies that handle the remaining sludge waste from OWS, which is landfilled, so if it accumulates a lot, it can cause soil pollution. The lack of public awareness and limited facilities and infrastructure for ship waste management in the port area are problems for the government and other stakeholders at the port.

PT. Citra Bahari Shipyard is a shipping company that uses Airbag Ship. Identification of hazards in the ship launching process using Job Safety Analysis(JSA) Guide Notes on the American Shipping Bureau (ABS) 2013, The procedures and processes that occur during the analysis and the equipment used are also what obstacles occur as well as solutions to these obstacles so that the launching process at PT. Citra Bahari Shipyard can run optimally. The purpose of hazard control measures in the launching process is to find out the potential hazards that can later cause work accidents and to obtain safe conditions from a launching process. The method that the observer uses is the method of directly observing the state of affairs in the field. Then conduct interviews with several parties related to ship launching and library study methods, namely by reviewing notes and reports that have to do with the launching of the ship with relevant sources. Then data processing is carried out to obtain control of the potential dangers and consequences that have been known so that it is hoped that potential hazards that cause injuries and material losses can be minimized. The result of this observation is that the control that has been carried out does not eliminate the danger completely, but minimizes the consequences of the potential dangers that exist from the ship launching process.
