Abstract

This concise presents a power efficient level shifter using regulated cross-coupled network with split inverter. With the use of regulated cross-coupled network, power dissipation of the pull-up region drastically decreases. Level shifters convert the voltage levels which are below the threshold voltage to the acceptable voltage levels by decreasing the transistor size. A Split inverter is used at the output to decrease the short circuit current. Modified Split inverter along with the load capacitor at the output is used to increase the speed and to decrease the power consumption. This LS can save 31% power compared to other techniques. The proposed level shifter works effectively at high speed and consumes less power. For simulation, LT spice tool of 50 nm technology and 90 nm technology is used.

Abstract

Pain is a health problem phenomenon that most often brings patients to see a doctor. Pain intensity is the most often domain which assessed in clinical and research settings. Loeser suggests that four elements need to be considered when evaluating patients with pain. Based on the biopsychosocial approach and the concept of pain from Loeser, a pain assessment was made and called "Alternative Method of Quantitative Pain Assessment (MAPKN)". This study was conducted on 415 pain patients consisting of 163 nociceptive pain, 119 mixed pain, and 133 neuropathic pain. In the nociceptive pain group, MAPKN showed sensitivity 92.59%, specificity 96.43%, AUC 0,959 and a p value <0.001. In the mixed pain group, MAPKN showed sensitivity 98.17%, specificity 80.00%, AUC 0,836 and a p -value of 0.001. In the neuropathic pain group, MAPKN showed sensitivity 92.06%, specificity of 85.71%, AUC 0,951 and a p<0.001. The AUC value of 0.959 (96%) indicates that the diagnostic value of the MAPKN score in assessing pain intensity in the nociceptive pain group is excellent (>90%-100%). AUC value of 0.836 (83%) indicates that the diagnostic value of the MAPKN score in assessing pain intensity in the mixed pain group is good (> 80%-90%). The AUC value of 0.951 (95%) indicates that the diagnostic value of the MAPKN score in assessing pain intensity in the neuropathic pain group is excellent (>90%-100%). This is in accordance with research conducted by Eka Pranata 2004 that MAPKN has strong discriminant validity in assessing pain intensity. MAPKN is valid and has excellent diagnostic value in assessing nociceptive and neuropathic pain intensity, MAPKN is valid and has good diagnostic value in assessing mixed pain intensity.

Abstract

Volcanic eruption can be a source of heavy metal contamination in the environment and such contamination may cause certain risks to the environment and to those who are exposed to the volcanic contents. This study aimed to assess the agricultural soil for heavy metal contamination after the 2020 Taal volcano eruption. The agricultural soil samples were collected from Cuenca and Talisay, Batangas and Tagaytay City, Cavite and were submitted to a laboratory for arsenic, cadmium and mercury detection and quantification. The detected metal concentrations were compared to the standard values of the Department of Environmental and Natural Resources for arsenic and United States Environmental Protection Agency for cadmium and mercury for soil samples while for the water samples, the standard values of Department of Environment and Natural sources were used. The soil from Talisay, Batangas had two-fold arsenic increase while the samples from Tagaytay City, Cavite had one-fold elevation. Cadmium and mercury in the soil and water were within the acceptable level in the three municipalities. The arsenic contamination of the soil post-volcanic eruption was probably due to the direction of the wind during the eruption, the amount of ashfall and groundwater contamination. Heavy metal contamination can be detected years after the eruption.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to formulate a C-RAN(Cloud-Radio Access Network) model based on a fair network combined with an isoelastic utility function and a modified cobb-douglas utility function and then optimize the consumer problem on bandwidth consumption by dividing the financing scheme into three, namely flat-fee, usage-based, and two-part tariff. This research uses traffic data containing inbound and outbound data with two split time which are in off-peak and on-peak hours. The data is obtained through one of the local server in Palembang. Previous research informed that the C-RAN model get optimal benefit if Internet Service Provider (ISP) applies it. The improvement of the model is to be conducted using two utility function to seek for improved solutions. The new proposed model has best solution that has been improved using an isoelastic utility function of flat-fee financing type with an objective value obtained of 1.83333 with 17 iterations. It can be concluded that new designed model can achieve better results rather than old version involving C-RAN model

Abstract

Parung River drainage sub system is located in Kediri City. At the peak of the rainy season inundation often occurs on hos cokroaminoto road, kilisuci road and terusan kaliombo road, the cause is reduced water catchment areas and drainage capacity can’t accommodate discharge, so it is necessary to handle water conservation-based inundation. The analysis conducted was modelling the sub-system using the Storm Water Management Model (SWMM) version 5.1 with a 5-year return period. Rainfall calculation used 10 years of daily rain data (2012-2021) from 3 rain stations (Mrican, UPT Kediri, and Pesantren). The 5-year return period results is 129.4 mm/day, then the intensity of rain is calculated using the Mononobe formula. To calibrate the model, comparing observation discharge with simulated discharge of SWMM resulted the Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency number is 0.62 and the correlation R is 0.91. The results of the existing simulation show that Parung River drainage sub-system was not able to accommodate the 5-year return period discharge, impacting 27 overflow points. Water conservation based handling with the application of infiltration wells and rainwater harvesting can reduce discharge on land ranging from 51.58% to 90.91%, while in the channel successfully reduces discharge from 1.73% to 90.40%.

Abstract

Samarinda Segiri Stadium area is one of the landmarks of Samarinda City. The condition of the Segiri Stadium area over time is getting shabby and unkempt. As one of the strategic areas of the city, the Samarinda City Government plans to revitalize the Segiri Stadium area. With the revitalization of the Segiri Stadium area, it will have an impact on existing transportation conditions. This study will model the transportation conditions in the area. The method used in this analysis is the MKJI 1997 method and modeling with Vissim software. The results of the analysis of the need for Parking Space Units (SRP) based on the Decree of the Director General of Land Transportation Number: 272/HK.105/DRJD/96 required as many as 2,148 SRP passenger car units. Analysis of unsignalized intersections in existing conditions (year 2022) LOS conditions are in the range of A to C which means the conditions are still safe. Modeling in 2030 the signalized intersection conditions are at LOS between A and D, which means there is already the potential for congestion. Analysis of signalized intersections in existing conditions (year 2022) the LOS conditions of the intersection are in the range of D to F, which means that congestion occurs in existing conditions. Modeling in 2030, LOS conditions are in the E to F range, which means that congestion is getting worse with a queue length value of more than 100 meters. Severe congestion occurs at the Dishub intersection and the Abul Hasan intersection. The results of the road section performance analysis show the LOS value between D to F, which means that it has experienced congestion. Modeling in 2030 shows LOS conditions in D to F conditions, which means that conditions are increasingly congested. Recommendations for these problems are to rearrange the traffic light phase cycle, remove side obstacles to improve the performance of sections and intersections, conduct traffic engineering and utilize Internet of Thing (IoT) technology.
