Abstract

This study aims to analyze the research trends related to distance education over the past three years by examining the publication patterns and key topics within the field. This study used a quantitative descriptive research approach with a bibliometric method. Data was collected through the Scopus database with the keyword "Distance learning" by searching for journals based on keywords, article titles, and abstracts with the condition of publications in 2020-2022. The software used in data analysis in this study was the Bibliometrix R-Package, which was part of R-Studio. A total of 1936 articles were found and analyzed. The study results showed that the number of articles related to distance education has been increasing each year, with a growing trend from 2020 to 2022. The study analyzed the top journals, affiliations, and countries publishing articles and identified the most productive authors and relevant affiliations. The trend topics discussed were social media, distance learning, and learning analytics, with new topics emerging in 2021, such as university students, motivation, and Covid-19. Theme classifications were divided into two, connected by blue and red lines. The study also identified future research opportunities using a thematic map.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of e-module teaching materials based on the local wisdom of the Grobogan area on the learning outcomes of elementary school students. This research method used research and development from Borg and Gall and used the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data collection used was pretest and posttest description test questions supplemented by an assessment rubric given to students. The data analysis technique of this study used the Independent Sample T-Test and the N-Gain Score test. The results of this study indicated that the effectiveness of the e-module teaching materials that have been tested gets t-test results with a sig (2-tailed) of 0.000 ˂ 0.05, which indicates a significant difference between the results of the students' pretest and posttest. While the average N-Gain score of students in one class, when viewed from the N-Gain percent by using the category of interpretation of the effectiveness of the N-Gain score, is declared "effective enough," with the result value obtained as 57.6725. So it can be concluded that e-modules based on local wisdom in the Grobogan area positively impact student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive multimedia to improve high school students' visuospatial intelligence in the oxidation state's redox reaction material through a three-tier test strategy. This research used the ADDIE development method, which consists of five stages: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The research subjects were students at one of the high schools in Gresik Regency. The research instruments used were visuospatial intelligence test sheets, interactive multimedia validation questionnaires, and practicality questionnaires. Posttest results were analyzed based on normality, homogeneity, and N-gain. The results of this study indicated that the developed interactive multimedia could improve students' visuospatial intelligence. It was based on the results of validation and limited trials obtained from the aspect of validity assessment with a score of 84% and got the title very valid. Then practicality got the title very practical with a score of 91%. Effectiveness could be seen from students' pretest and posttest scores, with the normality test for the pretest score getting a score of 0.191 while the posttest got a score of 0.220 so that it is normally distributed. The T test got a score of <0.05, which Ha accepted. The N-Gain test got a score of 0.89, with a high rating.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the readiness and efforts of vocational high schools in dealing with the ASEAN economic community. This research was qualitative research with an ethnographic design. Informants in this study were the principal, deputy head of the curriculum, the head of the accounting department, and the accounting teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Karanganyar and SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta. The data collection techniques used in this study were interviews and observation. Data analysis was carried out through data collection, data reduction, and data presentation to draw conclusions. The results of this study showed that SMKN 1 Karanganyar and SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta made preparatory efforts to deal with the ASEAN economic community. Those preparatory efforts included increasing the students’ skills through learning, both theoretically and practically, inside and outside the school environment, such as collaborating with the industrial and the business field, implementing the 2013 curriculum, increasing teacher knowledge through MGMP (Deliberation Subject Teachers), inviting teachers from institutions or universities, and completing school infrastructure. The research conducted in both schools revealed differences in efforts to prepare their students. These differences include SMK Negeri 1 Karanganyar innovating to invite other teachers to update the knowledge of teachers and students, build their accounting laboratories, and support teachers to be assessors. Meanwhile, SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta lacks school innovation and teachers as assessors. Furthermore, the laboratory of accounting majors is also used as other majors.

Abstract

This research aims to develop graphic design learning videos for interactive digital books for deaf students. This development is intended to complement visual material in digital books as teaching materials specifically designed according to student characteristics. The subject being developed was graphic design at the high school level in special education schools. The method used in this study was research and development with SAM (Successive Approximation Model). The validation included media, material (content), learning, and language. This data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive research. This research data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive. The study results showed that the learning videos that had been developed could aid in the understanding of theory as an abstract for the deaf with explanations of text, infographics, and sign language in the video. Sign language expressions made students interested and motivated to learn. The results of the validity evaluation by experts from the media aspect were 76%, Very Feasible, no need for revision and content 76%, Very Feasible, no need for revision; learning aspects 79%, Very Feasible, no need for revision; language 82%, Very feasible, no need revision. The summary score of experts and students was 78%, which was Very feasible, and did not need to be revised.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the level of mathematical literacy among elementary school-aged children in one of the schools in Lewa Paku District, East Sumba Regency. This research employed a mixed method of quantitative and qualitative approaches. The participants in this study were 20 students (10 students with good grades and ten students with poor grades in class), teachers, the school principal, and the head of the Education Office of East Sumba. The research instruments were mathematical tests adapted from the Early Grade Mathematics Assessment (EGMA), key informant interview guidance applied to all the participants, and observation during the learning processes. The quantitative data was analyzed using the descriptive technique, while the qualitative collected data was processed by data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The findings showed that the mathematical literacy of the fifth grade was in a low category. Factors affecting the student's math skills were less learning media, less conducive classes, limited, outdated, and unattractive printed textbooks, inadequate learning and teaching facilities, and less trained teachers. This research finding provides relevant and timely information to support students' achievement by adjusting policies, reforming curricula or programs, and instructional practices. Also, the policymaker can evaluate the effectiveness of the current education programs to decide on better interventions in supporting the students to improve their understanding of early math concepts.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the relationship between psychological capital and school counsellors’ burnout. This research method employed a Systematic Literatur Review, collected reading material from various scientific articles (SCOPUS, EBSCO and SINTA) and subsequently compared relevant theories and research results. Based on the results of a literature study conducted, it was found that there was a significant relationship between psychological capital and school counsellors' burnout. A high state of psychological capital (hope, belief, resilience, and optimism) can provide energy for school counsellors to control behavior and reduce symptoms of burnout (fatigue, negative work environment, indifference to clients, feeling incompetent as a school counselor, and chaotic personal life). School Counsellors who have hope will have goals and know the way to achieve these goals. It makes the school counsellors able to overcome things that make theme burnout. School Counsellors will become more resilient, confident, and optimistic in carrying out their role as school counsellors.
