Abstract

Parenting pattern provided by each family differs from one another, both in perspective and in implementation. Parenting in Indonesia is generally carried out by mothers and fathers, however, in some families, it is not uncommon for grandmothers, grandfathers, and aunts to be involved. Differences in the involvement of various parties will have a separate impact on the growth and development of children. This research will provide an overview of the upbringing of the Lamaholot tribal family located in Pantai Harapan Village. This study uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. Qualitative research data analysis was carried out from the time of data collection and was carried out carefully while in the field and afterward collecting data, assessing data quality, analyzing data, interpreting data, and making conclusions on the findings. The results of the study show that in general parents have implemented democratic parenting, where it is seen that parents apply parenting patterns by giving freedom to children but are still in control, there is two-way communication built by parents during parenting, and taking into account children's wishes, as well as the existence of regulations that made at home to discipline children.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the Tabarak Method in memorizing the Qur'an in Mataba Raudhatu Tilawtil Qur'an Dumai, as well as to determine the inhibiting and supporting factors in implementing the Tabarak Method in Mataba Raudhatu Tilawatil Qur'an Dumai. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. The source of data comes from teachers as many as 2 people guiding the Tabarak method at the institution. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings provide the following explanation: 1) In Mataba Raudhatu Tilawatil Qur'an Dumai, learning activities using the Tabarak method to memorize the Koran are led by the school principal and teachers who have attended several special trainings related to learning using the Tabarak method. The rote muraja'ah routine is followed by murattal audio in the form of MP3s which have been distributed to each santri. This media can also be used for muraja'ah activities at home with parents of students, and activities at this school also use other learning media such as; Speakers, Television, and others; 2) the supporting factors in the implementation of this learning are the role of the teacher as a fun educator for children who also have good tahsin and mastery of memorization, adequate facilities, and good cooperation from student parents and teachers in memorizing the Al Quran; 3) The inhibiting factors for this activity are the lack of focus of the child due to the child playing in class, the child being late or not coming to school, the lack of supervision of the student's guardian due to busyness outside the home, and there are still teachers who are not licensed. These findings have implications, indicating that student learning systems must be strengthened by school administrators and implementation teams. Teachers are also required to improve parenting skills and use creative and innovative learning strategies.

Abstract

The activity of tearing paper in early childhood is important because it can entertain and create fun feelings. Muscles, nerves, the brain, and fingers are all involved in the act of tearing paper. Children are taught to tear properly and freely, and as their fingers become more flexible, basic patterns are eventually introduced, followed by object-specific patterns. If done diligently, these aspects will be harmonized. The type of research used is action research and the research sample is early childhood at IT Zia Salsabila Kindergarten. Methods of data collection using documentation and observation techniques. Data analysis used descriptive analysis. The results of the study illustrate that children's fine motor skills can be improved through tearing paper activities.

Abstract

This study aims to describe 1) parenting styles in Atifah Bontomanai Kindergarten, Maccini Baji Village, Batang District, Jeneponto Regency, and 2) children’s self confident in Atifah Bontomanai Kindergarten, Maccini Baji Village, Batang District, Jeneponto Regency. This research is quantitative descriptive. The subject in this study were respondents from the parent of students at Atifah Bontomanai Kindergarten,Maccini Baji Village, with a total sample of 16 people selected through purposive sampling. Data collection was carried ot using questionnaire to measure parenting styles and children’s self confidence. The data obtained were analyzed usin descriptive statistic. The result showed: 1) the types of parenting used by parents today in increasing their children’s self confidence are authoritarian parenting with an average of 40%, permissive parenting with an average of 13%, and democratic parenting with an average of 47%,2) on the child’s self confidence variable, and independent self confidence indicator of 25%, not experiencing frustration by 12%, not depending on others by 19%, children being able to accept new challenges by 12%, children have emotions that alive but still stable by 13%, children find it easier to communicate and help others by 19%. The implication of this research is that parents should provide the right parenting style for children so that children's self-confidence can develop properly.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran perkembangan metode bercerita tema islami dalam meningkatkan perkembangan nilai agama pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di Kelurahan Paccinongang Kecamatan Somba Opu Kabupaten Gowa. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan berjumlah 10 anak yang berusia 5-6 tahun yang bertempat tinggal di Kelurahan Paccinongang Kecamatan Somba Opu Kabupaten Gowa. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar cheklist dari hasil observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukan terjadinnya peningkatan nilai rata-rata perkembangan nilai agama dari sebelum perlakuan (pre-test) ke setelah perlakuan (post-test) menggunakan metode bercerita tema islami yakni sebesar 21,6. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode bercerita tema islami dapat membantu meningkatkan perkembangan nilai agama pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di Kelurahan Paccinongang Kecamatan Somba Opu Kabupaten Gowa.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between teacher perceptions of face-to-face learning and independence in children aged 5-6 years. This type of research is quantitative correlational. the independent variable (independent), namely the teacher's perception and the dependent variable (dependent), namely the independence of the child. The research population is all kindergarten teachers in Waru sub-district, Sidoarjo district totaling 464. The sampling technique is purposive sampling, where the sample selection is carried out according to predetermined criteria, namely schools with minimum accreditation B and teachers who teach in Kindergarten class B. The survey method in the form of a google form or a questionnaire is the data collection technique used. Data analysis techniques consist of: validity test with Product Moment formula, reliability test with Cronbach Alpha formula and correlation test with Person Correlation formula. The calculation using the person correlation formula aims to determine whether or not there is a significant relationship between the teacher's perception and the child's independence. Based on the calculation of the correlation test, it was obtained that r arithmetic was 0.471 and r table with a significant level of 5% = 0.198, in other words r arithmetic > r table (0.471> 0.198) so it could be concluded that there was a strong enough relationship between teacher perceptions and children's independence.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability to recognize numbers in children before the application of wayang card media, to describe the ability to recognize numbers in children after the application of wayang card media, and to find out differences in the ability to recognize numbers through the use of wayang card media in early childhood at Yaspib Pertiwi Kindergarten, Bontolempangang District. This type of research is descriptive quantitative, using saturated sampling. The number of samples taken was all group A students of Yaspib Pertiwi Kindergarten, Bontolempangang District. The research instruments used were observation sheets, test sheets, and checklists. Data analysis techniques using descriptive data analysis. The results of the descriptive test show that the ability to recognize numbers before applying the wayang card media too early childhood obtains an average value of 6, the ability to recognize numbers after the application of wayang card media obtains an average value of 12, and there is a difference in the average ability get to know numbers in children aged in Kindergarten Yaspib Pertiwi, Bontolempangang District after applying the wayang card media. The implications of this research are expected to be able to add insight to children in knowing numbers, educators can apply wayang card media in learning activities, and can be an initial reference for researchers.

Abstract

Early childhood education is crucial for children aged 0-8, focusing on physical, intelligence, thinking, creativity, emotional, spiritual, language/communication, and social development. Teaching writing from a young age is essential for human communication. However, over 75% of children in group B struggle with writing skills due to traditional learning media, causing boredom and lazy completion. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using Alphabet Tracking Board as a media to improve the writing skills of children in group B. Learning activities for early childhood usually involve play, and writing is considered a fundamental communication skill that needs to be taught at an early age. If children do not understand letters properly, it can hinder their interactions with other individuals or groups. However, observations of 7 children in TK Garuda Sakti and 15 children in TK Paramadinah from group B showed that their writing skills have not developed well. Therefore, the researcher developed a new innovation in the form of Alphabet Tracking Board as a solution. This media is suitable for the study as the main material, Javanese teak wood, is easy to find in the research area. The Alphabet Tracking Board is a new development of media innovation to enhance children's writing skills, developed through the ADDIE process (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Based on the validation results, the Alphabet Tracking Board has a validity percentage of 91.34%, which is within the achievement criteria of 81.00% - 100%, indicating that the media is highly valid and can be used without revision.

Abstract

This study aims to determine effectiveness out whether the Uhipa card game improves numercy skills of children in group B. Learning activities for erly childhood usually involve playing. Numeracy activities are the basis of human communication, therefore the ability to count is very important to be taught from an early age. If children do not understand numeracy properly, it can hinder their interaction with individuals or groups. However, observation of 20 children in the Dharma Wanita Kindergarden Pacing group B shows that the ability to count is not yet developed. Therefore the researcher developed a new innovation in the form of the Uhipa card game. The Uhipa card game uses media in the form of number card and picture cards made of thick cardboard which are easy to find the area to be examined. This Uhipa card game is a new game innovation to improve children’s numeracy skills. Action research refers to the classroom action research model Kemmis and Mc. Taggart (planning, action, observation, reflection). Based on the validation results, the Uhipa card gamehas a validity percentage of 85%, which is within the achievement criteria of 75% - 100%, indicating that the game is highly valid and can be used without revision

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) find out how the alphabet book media can improve children's ability to recognize letters in group A at Kindergarten Dharma Wanita 2 Pelang Lor Kedunggalar; 2) to find out whether the alphabet book media can improve the ability to recognize letters in group A children at Kindergarten Dharma Wanita 2 Pelang Lor Kedunggalar. The research used was classroom action research (PTK). The object of this research is the Kindergarten of Dharma Wanita Pelanng-Lor, Ngawi. The subjects of this study were children in group A Kindergarten Darma Wanita 2 Pelang Lor Kedunggalar Ngawi, totaling 11 children consisting of 5 boys and 6 girls. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that: 1) the learning process through the alphabet book media can improve the ability to recognize letters in groups in Kindergarten Dharma Wanita 2 Pelanglor. It can be seen in the activities carried out, namely in cycle 1 with the theme of plants, the sub-theme of fruit plants, the activities are children ringing letters of the alphabet, sorting letters, mentioning letter symbols. For cycle 2, the words used are longer, such as the word "s-a-w-o". In this activity, children play according to the rules. in cycle 1 dan 2. 2) improving children's language through playing alphabet book activities in group A Kindergarten Dharma Wanita 2 Pelanglor is shown by the increased results of learning activities from children through the pre-cycle data percentage of 27%, namely 3 children who completed out of a total of 11 children . cycle 1 of 54%, namely 6 children out of a total of 11 children. cycle 2 of 82%, namely 9 children out of a total of 11 children. while children who did not complete as many as 2 children with a percentage of 18%.
