Al-Isyraq: Jurnal Bimbingan, Penyuluhan, dan Konseling Islam is a scientific journal, serves as a forum for publishing the original research articles related to Islamic guidance and counseling. The bulletin encompasses research articles, original research report, reviews, short communications and scientific commentaries in Islamic guidance and counseling including: managing of guidance and counseling. Assessment in counseling, Islamic counseling, Islamic theraphy, career development, personal and social development and academic development. All papers submitted to the journal should be written in English or Indonesian. The work should not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

Abstract

This study aims to understand in depth how expression cards can help introverted physically disabled students develop their self-expression and social interaction skills during individual counseling sessions. The study specifically explores the experiences, perceptions, and changes felt by physically disabled students during the counseling process using expression cards. The scope of this study includes exploring the process of interaction between physically disabled students and expression cards, dynamics during counseling sessions, and changes felt in the context of students' social and emotional relationships. The method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with physically disabled students and counselors, participant observation during counseling sessions, and reflective analysis of student narratives. Data analysis was carried out thematically to find patterns and meanings from students' experiences. The results showed that expression cards provide space for introverted physically disabled students to express their feelings indirectly, thus helping them feel more comfortable in communicating. Physically disabled students reported that expression cards made it easier for them to understand and convey emotions that were difficult to express verbally. In addition, individual counseling sessions with this tool created an environment that supported students' social interactions with classmates. It is concluded that expression cards are effective as a counseling tool to help introvert students develop social and emotional skills. The interaction process facilitated by these cards has a positive impact on students' openness and self-confidence in interacting. This study recommends the development of similar media that are more adaptive to the needs of individuals with disabilities to support successful counseling.

Abstract

The ability to read in understanding is the key to success for students in the learning process. Learners gain some knowledge through reading activities meaning that reading comprehension skills can be trained in all subjects at school. Reading comprehension has three stages that can be applied to the learning process towards the goal of reading comprehension, namely the reading stage, the reading stage and the post-reading stage. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the role of reading comprehension in improving the performance of third grade elementary school students in Indonesian language subjects and the research method is a qualitative approach that uses a case study model observation and in-depth interviews have now been used as data collection techniques, as well as documentation, data analysis techniques include preparing cross-case analysis and drawing conclusions.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of psychological well-being and loneliness on celebrity worship among K-pop fans aged 18–25, categorized into three levels: entertainment-social, intense-personal, and borderline-pathological. Using a quantitative approach with a regression design and simple random sampling technique, data were collected through an online questionnaire utilizing the Celebrity Worship Scale (CWS), UCLA Loneliness Scale, and Psychological Well-Being Scale (PWBS). The results of multiple regression analysis indicate that both variables significantly influence celebrity worship, both simultaneously and partially, with a contribution of 58.7%, while the remaining 41.3% is assumed to be influenced by other factors not examined in this study, such as self-esteem, social support, or affiliation needs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penyebab perilaku bullying pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian empat pelaku bullying yang diwawancarai secara mendalam untuk menggali faktor-faktor penyebab bullying . Temuan menunjukkan bahwa perilaku bullying dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, seperti tekanan kelompok sebaya, dinamika keluarga yang disfungsional, keinginan untuk menunjukkan dominasi sosial, serta rendahnya kesadaran akan berdampak negatif pada perilaku tersebut. Perundungan terjadi secara berulang dan disengaja, dengan sasaran utama korban yang dianggap lemah atau tidak mampu melawan. Penelitian ini mengacu pada kerangka teori Don Olweus yang menekankan ketimpangan kekuasaan dan penguatan lingkungan sebagai pemicu terbentuknya perilaku bullying. Hasil penelitian merekomendasikan perlunya intervensi yang komprehensif dan sistemik dengan melibatkan pihak sekolah, orang tua, dan masyarakat luas untuk mencegah dan menanggulangi bullying secara efektif di lingkungan pendidikan.Kata Kunci: Bullying, Perilaku, Sekolah Menengah Pertama, Siswa

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengkaji upaya preventif yang dapat dilakukan untuk mencegah copycat scuidie yang terjadi pada gen Z. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa untuk melakukan dakwah teraupetik kepada gen Z ada beberapa hal yang harus diperhatikan seperti aspek psikologis dari gen Z yang lebih menyukai komunikasi yang sederhana, pesan yang pendek dan bersifat visual. Pemahaman yang disampaikan dapat berupa  pemahaman tentang ayat-ayat al-qur’an yang mengandung pesan motivasi, pemahaman mengenai bahwa meditasi dapat dilakukan melalui sholat, dan pemahaman mengenai teknik relaksasi dapat dilakukan melalui dzikir dan doa.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of improving students' academic performance, which is influenced by both internal and external factors, particularly self-efficacy, critical thinking, and the environment. Numerous academic challenges faced by students—including low motivation, lack of self-confidence, insufficient critical thinking skills, and an unconducive learning environment—have become central issues in higher education. This study aims to examine the effect of self-efficacy and critical thinking on the academic performance of students at Budi Luhur University and to assess whether the environment can moderate these relationships. The approach used is quantitative, employing a survey method and data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM). Data were collected from 130 active students who had completed at least 90 credit units, with variables measured using a Likert scale. The results indicate that critical thinking and the environment have a significant effect on academic performance, while self-efficacy does not show a significant direct effect. Additionally, the environment does not moderate the influence of either self-efficacy or critical thinking on academic performance. These findings imply the need to enhance the quality of the academic environment and foster students’ critical thinking skills. Meanwhile, efforts to improve self-efficacy should be accompanied by a more supportive environment to achieve a greater impact on academic performance.

Abstract

Keterampilan sosial sangat penting bagi remaja dalam membangun hubungan, menyesuaikan diri, dan menyelesaikan konflik. Salah satu cara untuk mendukung perkembangan keterampilan ini adalah melalui teman sebaya, terutama dalam kegiatan PIK-R (Pusat Informasi dan Konseling Remaja). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran konselor sebaya dalam PIK-R terhadap keterampilan sosial remaja di SMPN 70 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek tiga konselor sebaya dan tujuh siswa yang aktif mengikuti kegiatan PIK-R. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik interaktif dari Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konselor sebaya berperan dalam memberikan dukungan emosional, sosial, dan moral, meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang kesehatan mental, serta membantu teman sebaya dalam mengembangkan keterampilan seperti komunikasi, empati, pengendalian diri, dan pemecahan masalah. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa konseling sebaya dalam PIK-R dapat menjadi cara yang efektif untuk mendukung perkembangan keterampilan sosial remaja di sekolah.

Abstract

Problems experienced by individuals in the world of education are common. If not handled properly, these problems can develop into stress, anxiety, and even psychological disorders. In this context, teachers and school counselors have an important role and responsibility to help students overcome these problems. One approach that can be used to support individuals in dealing with problems is reality counseling. This approach was developed by William Glasser and focuses on current behavior, without focusing too much on the past. Reality counseling aims to help individuals achieve a successful identity. In the process of achieving this, individuals are driven by various basic needs that motivate their actions to meet these needs. Glasser identified five basic human needs, namely: power, love and belonging, freedom, fun, and survival.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk memetakan informasi tentang tren penelitian Konseling Kognitif yang sudah terpublish sejak tahun 2015 hingga tahun 2024 melalui database Dimensions AI. Metode Preferred Reporting Items for Systematics Reviews and Meta-Analysis atau biasa disebut metode PRISMA. Hasil penelitian menyajikan data bahwa kata kunci konseling kognitif pada tahun 2015 tercatat sejumlah 11 artikel ilmiah kemudian di tahun 2024 tercatat 73 artikel ilmiah. Data ini menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan penelitian tentang konseling kognitif terus meningkat. Proses pemilihan artikel dilakukan dengan Dimensions AI, pada awal pencarian kata kunci ‘Cognitive Counseling’ dari tahun 2015 hingga 2024 ditemukan sejumlah 6.267 karya ilmiah yang kemudian hanya tersisa 314 karya ilmiah saja dikarenakan sejumlah 5.903 karya ilmiah tidak termasuk kategori Quality Education dan sejumlah 50 karya ilmiah tidak berbentuk artikel ilmiah. Jurnal Pendidikan Usia Dini JPUD, Indonesia merupakan jurnal yang paling banyak mempublish karya ilmiah dengan kata kunci cognitive counseling sejumlah 7 publikasi dan 18 sitasi. Charles Edmund Degeneffe dari San Diego State University, USA merupakan peneliti yang paling banyak berkontribusi pada penelitian dengan kata kunci cognitive counseling dengan 4 publikasi dan 14 sitasi. Hasil yang ditemukan dapat menjadi dasar bagi para peneliti yang hendak mendalami atau mengembangkan penelitian yang berkaitan dengan cognitive counseling.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the experiences of umrah pilgrims participating in a guidance program that integrates gratitude therapy and to examine its impact on the Adversity Quotient (AQ). Using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method (Creswell, 2014), data were collected through in-depth interviews with pilgrims who attended the umrah guidance program at PT Karya Imtaq. The analysis focused on participants’ narratives to uncover meanings, behavioral changes, and post-umrah strategies for maintaining gratitude. The findings reveal three main meanings of gratitude therapy: (1) a shift from reactive gratitude to proactive gratitude, (2) transformation in decision-making and attitudes toward trials, and (3) enhanced perseverance and mental resilience. Gratitude therapy positively influenced the four dimensions of AQ: control, ownership, reach, and endurance. Pilgrims reported greater emotional self-control, a stronger sense of responsibility, the ability to limit the negative impact of problems, and the belief that difficulties are temporary. The study affirms a correlation between gratitude therapy and AQ within the Islamic spiritual framework, suggesting that gratitude-based guidance strengthens spiritual, mental, and emotional resilience in facing life’s challenges.
