Abstract

Aggressive behavior among adolescents is one of the most common issues encountered in schools and has the potential to hinder students' social, emotional, and academic development. This phenomenon is still found among students at MTsN 6 Lima Puluh Kota, where aggressive behavior appears in both verbal and physical forms. This study aimed to describe the factors causing aggressive behavior among students at MTsN 6 Lima Puluh Kota. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Informants were selected using purposive sampling and consisted of students, guidance and counseling teachers, homeroom teachers, and the Vice Principal for Student Affairs. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data credibility was ensured through source triangulation, technique triangulation, and time triangulation. The findings revealed that students' aggressive behavior was influenced by two main categories of factors, namely internal and external factors. Internal factors consisted of beliefs, genetic or family parenting patterns, emotions, and personality. Among these, beliefs and emotional instability were identified as the most dominant factors contributing to aggressive behavior. External factors included imitation, family environment, and community environment, with the family environment emerging as the strongest external influence. Inharmonious family communication, limited parental attention, and negative social interactions were found to contribute significantly to the development of aggressive behavior. The study concludes that aggressive behavior is the result of interactions between internal and external factors. Therefore, collaboration among schools, families, and communities is essential to create a supportive environment that can prevent and reduce aggressive behavior among students.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the importance of communication in the early-age coaching process at a football school. Effective communication functions not only as a means of delivering training instructions but also plays an essential role in building motivation, instilling discipline, shaping character, and establishing positive relationships between coaches and students. Aris Indarto Football Academy (AIFA) implements a coaching concept that emphasizes the learning process, making communication one of the key factors in achieving successful player development. The purpose of this study is to identify and describe the communication process used in early-age coaching at Aris Indarto Football Academy and to determine the factors influencing the effectiveness of communication between coaches and students. This research employed a constructivist paradigm with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research informants consisted of Coach Aris Indarto as the key informant and one student of Aris Indarto Football Academy as the supporting informant. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the coaching communication process at Aris Indarto Football Academy is conducted through interpersonal, two-way communication, including pre-training briefings, direct guidance during training sessions, and evaluations after training. The coach uses simple and understandable language, demonstrates techniques directly, provides motivation and constructive feedback, and develops close relationships with students through personal approaches. Based on Joseph A. DeVito's Interpersonal Communication Theory, the communication practiced fulfills the characteristics of openness, empathy, supportiveness, positiveness, and equality. This communication has a positive impact on students' understanding, self-confidence, discipline, teamwork, responsibility, and character development. Factors influencing communication effectiveness include the use of simple language, two-way communication, direct demonstrations, close relationships between coach and students, and regular evaluations. Meanwhile, communication barriers include differences in students' personalities, lack of concentration during training, reluctance to ask questions, and varying levels of understanding. These obstacles are addressed through personal interpersonal communication, enabling students to express their difficulties more comfortably. In conclusion, interpersonal communication plays a significant role in the success of early-age coaching at Aris Indarto Football Academy. Communication that is open, empathetic, supportive, and respectful creates an effective coaching process that not only improves students' football skills but also develops their character and mental readiness in accordance with the academy's coaching objectives.

Abstract

This research investigates the effect of hedonic shopping motivation and fashion involvement on impulsive buying of fast fashion items among Generation Z Shopee users in Jakarta, both directly and through positive emotion as a mediating factor. Applying a quantitative PLS-SEM approach with 154 respondents obtained through purposive sampling, the findings reveal that hedonic shopping motivation and fashion involvement lead to impulsive buying through distinct psychological pathways, with positive emotion functioning as the central mechanism linking both to impulsive buying. These findings broaden the Stimulus-Organism-Response framework and offer practical implications for Shopee and fast fashion sellers in strengthening emotion-based marketing strategies.

Abstract

Speaking skills are essential competencies that should be developed through active, contextual, and meaningful learning in elementary schools. This study aimed to describe the implementation of the SeLaRAS Learning Model based on the Deep Learning approach in social studies learning to support the speaking skills of second-grade elementary school students. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through classroom observations, documentation, and field notes during the learning process. The findings indicate that the implementation of the SeLaRAS model provided students with opportunities to connect prior experiences, conduct simple explorations, organize and communicate ideas, and reflect on social values actively. The integration of Deep Learning principles and the four holistic learning dimensions created more meaningful and contextual learning experiences while encouraging students' active participation in speaking activities. The SeLaRAS model has the potential to serve as an innovative alternative for supporting the development of elementary students' speaking skills in social studies learning.

Abstract

Increasingly intense competition in the labor market requires vocational high school (SMK) graduates to master not only academic competencies but also practical skills and adaptability to digital technology. However, the gap between graduates' competencies and industry needs remains a challenge, including among Office Management students at SMKN 12 Jakarta, where preliminary research indicated that not all students felt ready to work despite having Field Work Practice (FWP/PKL) experience and digital skills. This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of FWP Experience and Digital Literacy, both partially and simultaneously, on Work Readiness among Office Management students at SMKN 12 Jakarta. This study employed a quantitative approach with a causal associative design. Data were collected through questionnaires from 72 twelfth-grade students who had completed their internships, used a total sampling technique, and analyzed using multiple linear regression via SPSS. The results show that FWP Experience has a positive and significant effect on Work Readiness, whereas Digital Literacy has a negative and significant effect, presumably because the measurement instrument emphasizes passive digital competencies more than problem-solving competencies. Simultaneously, both variables significantly affect Work Readiness, contributing 29.3%, while the remaining 70.7% is explained by other factors outside the model. These findings underscore the importance of strengthening internship programs and reorienting digital literacy learning toward applied competencies to enhance the work readiness of vocational high school students.

Abstract

Modem devices play a crucial role as the main infrastructure in ensuring the stability of computer network connectivity. The complexity of technical specifications and price variations in the commercial market often create decision bias for consumers. This study implements a decision support system using the Combined Compromise Solution (CoCoSo) method to objectively determine the priority of internet modem selection. The evaluation was conducted by involving seven multi-dimensional criteria, namely internet speed, network compatibility, modem type, number of users, battery capacity, security, and price and warranty components. Testing on seven popular modem alternatives was carried out through the integration of Weighted Sum Measure (WSM) and Weighted Product Measure (WPM) functions. The computational results show that alternative M4 (MQ531) obtained the highest preference value of 6.3689, making it the most optimal compromise solution. The implementation of this model is proven to minimize subjectivity and provide valid hardware investment recommendations for users.

Abstract

This classroom action research with a qualitative approach aims to improve interest in learning mathematics and multiplication skills for numbers 6-9 through the "Jendral Perkalian" card game assisted by finger techniques for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 53 Manado. The research subjects consisted of 32 students (17 male, 15 female) selected through purposive sampling. The research was conducted in two cycles using the Kemmis and McTaggart model. Data were collected through participatory observation, interviews, field notes, learning interest questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model (data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing). The results showed an increase in students' learning interest from the low category (45.60%) to the very high category (88.88%) in cycle II. The average multiplication score increased from 64 to 82.28, with classical completeness rising from 46% to 86%. Response time per question decreased from 12-15 seconds to an average of 4 seconds. Qualitative analysis showed increased student engagement and awareness that they were learning—not just playing. This research concludes that the "Jendral Perkalian" card game assisted by finger techniques is effective in increasing interest in learning and multiplication skills for elementary school students. These findings recommend the use of card game media as an alternative for fun and meaningful multiplication learning in elementary schools.
