Abstract

Advances in information technology have encouraged businesses to improve service efficiency, including in the laundry industry, which requires a fast, accurate, and easy-to-use administration system. Bunda Laundry, as the location of this study, still relies on manual recording, which often leads to errors in recording and calculation, complicates the order tracking process, and creates obstacles in preparing accurate income reports. This research was conducted to design and develop an Android-based laundry administration application using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) prototype model methodology. This approach was chosen because it supports a gradual development process that can be tailored to user needs. The application was built using the Kotlin programming language and Firebase as the database, and is equipped with two separate interfaces, namely the admin interface for data management and reporting, and the user interface for ordering services and monitoring work status. Testing was carried out through Black Box Testing to ensure that the functions ran according to requirements and User Acceptance Testing to assess the level of user acceptance. The results of the study show that all the main features of the application run according to user needs based on the results of Black Box Testing. The results of User Acceptance Testing also show that the application is well accepted and is considered capable of improving the regularity and efficiency of the laundry administration process. In addition, the application generates sales reports that can support business owners in monitoring business development. Thus, the application that was built successfully fulfilled the research objectives and provided an effective solution that can be directly applied in the management of laundry business administration.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of the Qur’an memorization (tahfidz) program as a means of fostering students’ religious character and increasing their love for the Qur’an from an early age. SDT Al-Muhibbiin Betung Banyuasin is one of the elementary schools that implements the Qur’an memorization program as a flagship program in learning activities. However, several obstacles are still found in its implementation, such as decreasing student motivation in memorizing, difficulties in memorizing certain verses, and limited variations in learning methods. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the implementation of the Qur’an memorization program at SDT Al-Muhibbiin Betung Banyuasin, including its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, tahfidz teachers, and students participating in the tahfidz program. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of the tahfidz program at SDT Al-Muhibbiin Betung has several strengths, including competent tahfidz teachers, clear memorization targets at each grade level, and support from the school. However, there are also obstacles such as unstable student motivation, limited learning time, and the influence of external factors. Nevertheless, the tahfidz program still has opportunities to be further developed through improved learning strategies, strengthened program management, and support from all parties in the school.

Abstract

This research is based on the importance of emotional intelligence in students. Not only intellectual intelligence but emotional intelligence is equally important. In this study aims to provide an overview of the affective learning strategy of the consideration model in developing students' emotional intelligence and its impact. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, the data used are interviews, observations, and documentation. The subjects studied were teachers as homeroom teachers for class IV and students in class IV at SDN Citangkil Baru, Cilegon City. The result of this research is that the teacher's efforts in fostering emotional intelligence are the affective learning of the consideration model, namely the learning steps of the consideration model. The impact of the consideration model of affective learning is to improve students' social skills, inculcate an attitude of tolerance, increase positive mindsets such as being responsible, mutual cooperation, caring for one another.

Abstract

Effective learning requires teachers’ ability to manage the learning process in a planned and systematic manner so that students can actively participate in the learning process. This study aims to describe classroom teachers’ strategies in managing learning to improve the activeness of fourth-grade students at SDN 158 Palembang and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This study used a qualitative method with a case study approach. The research was conducted at SDN 158 Palembang with the subjects consisting of fourth-grade teachers and students. Informants were selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation using observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and documentation sheets as research instruments. Data validity was tested using source triangulation and method triangulation, while data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that classroom teachers’ strategies in managing learning to improve students’ activeness were carried out through interconnected stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation. In practice, teachers applied an inquiry-based learning strategy that actively involved students through observing, asking questions, participating in discussions, working in groups, and utilizing learning media. Supporting factors included teacher readiness, the use of varied learning media, discussion and group activities, and school support. In contrast, inhibiting factors included differences in students’ learning abilities, varying levels of self-confidence, and limited learning time.

Abstract

Tarjuman al-Mustafid by Abdurauf as-Singkili is widely regarded as an early landmark of Malay Qur’anic exegesis, mediating classical Arabic tafsir heritage for Muslim readers in the Malay Indonesian world. Yet its “distinctiveness” is often stated in broad terms without clear textual indicators. Objective: this study aims to identify and explain the distinctive features of Tarjuman al-Mustafid in language, method, exegetical orientation, and its strategy of transmitting earlier authorities. Method a qualitative library based study employing content analysis on selected textual units (renderings of meaning, brief clarifications, legal hints, and moral ethical emphases), complemented by a historical intellectual reading of the Aceh Malay context. Results the tafsir shows a communicative Malay religious register, a preference for concise exposition that foregrounds the verse’s overall sense, selective notes oriented to piety and practice, and a compact adaptation of widely used classical tafsir sources without extended technical debate. Conclusion: Tarjuman al-Mustafid is distinctive for its pedagogical bridging function, helping to institutionalize a Malay tafsir tradition and shaping later developments of Nusantara exegesis.

Abstract

This research focuses on crew skills in the use of fire extinguishers to improve safety at KMP Salvino, the purpose of this study is to analyze crew skills in the use of fire extinguishers, identify influencing factors, and make the necessary efforts to improve the ability and preparedness of the crew. This research is also useful for evaluating ship safety training and improving crew capabilities. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, with informants selected through purposive sampling, namely Mualim III, Sailor I, and Sailor II. Data was obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation using interview sheet and observation sheet instruments. Data analysis is carried out through the process of data reduction, fishbone diagrams, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that crew skills in the use of fire extinguishers are in the category of being quite good, but still need to be improved through more structured training, equitable practice, and strengthening understanding of fire types.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of institutional ownership, debt to equity ratio, total asset growth, and return on asset on firm value proxied by Tobin's Q in property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2022-2024. The research method used is a quantitative method with secondary data from companies' annual financial reports. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS version 27 program. The results show that partially, Good Corporate Governance proxied by institutional ownership has a negative and insignificant effect on firm value. Funding decisions proxied by debt to equityratio have a positive and significant effect on firm value. Investment decisions proxied by total asset growth have a negative and insignificant effect on firm value, and profitability proxied by return on asset has a negative and insignificant effect on firm value. Simultaneously, Good Corporate Governance, funding decisions, investment decisions, and profitability have a significant effect on firm value measured by Tobin's Q.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work stress, workload, rewards, and punishments on employee performance at the North Labuhan Batu Regency Environmental Agency. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population in this study was all employees of the North Labuhan Batu Regency Environmental Agency, with a sample size of 50 respondents determined using saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire based on the Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. Hypothesis testing was conducted through partial testing (t-test), simultaneous testing (F-test), and analysis of the coefficient of determination (R²). The results showed that, partially, work stress and workload had a negative and significant effect on employee performance, while rewards and punishments had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, work stress, workload, rewards, and punishments had a significant effect on employee performance. The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R²) value of 0.806 indicates that 80.6% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by these four variables, while the rest is influenced by other factors outside this study. This study is expected to provide practical contributions to agencies in improving employee performance through proper stress and workload management and the implementation of a fair and consistent reward and punishment system.

Abstract

The energy sector is a capital-intensive industry with a high level of risk influenced by economic dynamics and fluctuations in commodity prices. These conditions require companies to maintain strong financial performance in order to sustain firm value in the eyes of investors. This study aims to analyze the effect of firm size, capital structure, and profitability on firm value through dividend policy as a mediating variable in energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2021–2024. This research employs a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The sample was determined through a purposive sampling method using secondary data obtained from companies’ annual financial statements. Firm size is proxied by the natural logarithm of total assets, capital structure by the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), profitability by Return on Assets (ROA), dividend policy by the Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR), and firm value by Tobin’s Q. The results show that firm size and capital structure have a negative and significant effect on firm value, while profitability has a negative but insignificant effect on firm value. Firm size and profitability have a negative and significant effect on dividend policy, whereas capital structure does not have a significant effect on dividend policy. In addition, dividend policy does not have a significant effect on firm value and is not proven to mediate the relationship between firm size, capital structure, and profitability on firm value. These findings indicate that firm size and capital structure play an important role in influencing firm value directly, while dividend policy does not act as an effective mechanism in mediating the relationship between fundamental corporate variables and firm value in energy sector companies.

Abstract

It is known that students’ learning styles vary, and thus it is imperative of teachers to acknowledges the differences. The purpose of this study is to discover the students’ IPAS learning style. Learning style is one of the learning forms that is in accordance to students’ characteristics, and could be a reason for teachers to improve learning quality. Moreover, it is easier for students to motivate themselves to learn. The research uses qualitative method. The data collection uses interview, ovservation, and documentation. Data validity is done by technique and source triangulation. Data analysis process uses data gatheting, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The result of the research shows that the learning style of SDN Gajahmungkur 04 Semarang students’ on IPAS learning consists of visual characteristic much as 47% which means the students can understand problems while reading and able to solve learning questions by writing; Auditorial learning stylemuch as 33% which means students are able to understand better while the teacher is reading them the questions, able to know how to convey information gathered from the works orally, also able to understand the materials that is being presented orally; and kinesthetic learning style much as 20%, which means students prefer to solve problems in group, discuss, and not able to concentrate for a long period of time while sitting down. The result of the study shows that the learning style of the students of Grade IV SDN Gajahmungkur 04 Semarang consist of visual, auditory, kinesthetic, learning style, with the visual learning style as the most dominant among the rest.
