Abstract

Isu kemerosotan moral semakin kompleks di era globalisasi dan digitalisasi, khususnya memengaruhi perilaku sosial dan nilai-nilai etika di kalangan generasi muda. Perkembangan moral (akhlak) dalam Islam tidak hanya tercermin dalam perilaku lahiriah, tetapi juga mewakili internalisasi nilai-nilai berbasis iman yang membimbing perilaku manusia. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konsep akhlak dari perspektif Islam, menganalisis tantangan perkembangan moral di era digital, dan mengidentifikasi upaya strategis untuk memperkuat pendidikan moral. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode riset kepustakaan melalui analisis teks-teks Islam klasik, termasuk karya Al-Ghazali, serta artikel-artikel ilmiah terkini yang relevan dengan pendidikan moral dan isu-isu sosial kontemporer. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa akhlak dalam Islam adalah konsep holistik yang berakar pada iman dan dikembangkan melalui pendidikan berkelanjutan, pembiasaan, dan teladan moral. Lebih lanjut, kemerosotan moral dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal seperti kesadaran religius yang lemah dan faktor eksternal termasuk lingkungan keluarga, praktik pendidikan, dan paparan media digital. Penguatan pendidikan moral melalui integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam pendidikan, keterlibatan keluarga, dan pemanfaatan media digital secara positif sangat penting untuk mengatasi tantangan moral di masyarakat modern.

Abstract

In competitive basketball, adolescent players operate in environments demanding high performance and mental strength to face competition and social evaluation. This study aims to examine the relationship between social comparison and mental toughness among adolescent basketball players in Jakarta. Participants were 110 adolescent basketball players aged 12-18 in Jakarta, with data collected via online self-report questionnaires. Social Comparison was measured using the Iowa-Netherlands Comparison Orientation Measure (INCOM) adapted to basketball, and mental toughness was measured using the Sport Mental Toughness Questionnaire (SMTQ). Results showed a significant positive relationship between social comparison and mental toughness (r = 0.438; p < 0.001), indicating that a higher tendency to compare oneself relates to higher mental toughness. Mental toughness and social comparison also varied significantly based on gender, playing position, training duration, independent training, and achievement.

Abstract

Science learning in elementary schools still faces the problem of students’ low conceptual understanding due to the dominance of conventional teaching methods that do not adequately connect concepts with real-life applications. This condition leads to difficulties for students in integrating scientific knowledge with technology, engineering, and mathematics. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of the STEM learning model on students’ conceptual understanding of science at the fifth grade of Bangun Insan Mandiri Elementary School. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a pretest–posttest control group design. The research subjects consisted of two classes: an experimental class that implemented the STEM learning model and a control class that used conventional instruction. Data were collected through a science conceptual understanding test administered before and after the treatment. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques to determine differences in the improvement of conceptual understanding between the two groups. The results showed a significant increase in science conceptual understanding among students who learned through the STEM learning model compared to those in the control class. The STEM learning model effectively encouraged students to develop a deeper understanding of science concepts through problem-solving activities, simple design processes, and the application of concepts in real-world contexts. Therefore, the STEM learning model is effective for improving fifth-grade students’ science conceptual understanding and can be used as an innovative instructional strategy in elementary science education.

Abstract

This study examines the local wisdom of the Amfoang community in East Nusa Tenggara through the forest honey harvesting tradition. This tradition not only has economic value but also contains cultural, social, and spiritual significance. This study used a literature review method with a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing various written sources of relevant research. The findings indicate that the Amfoang community's forest honey harvesting tradition embodies local wisdom values, such as cooperation, responsibility, and gratitude for natural gifts. The harvesting process is led by traditional leaders with a system of dividing tasks and harvests based on customary rules. Before the activity begins, the community holds a ritual as a form of respect for ancestors and a request for safety. Furthermore, this tradition demonstrates a harmonious blend of customs and Christian-Protestant teachings through prayers and hymns that accompany the activity. Thus, the Amfoang honey harvesting tradition symbolizes the preservation of a sustainable local culture full of life values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi makna dan nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam tradisi “Naketi Uab” yang dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat Desa Oe’ekam, Timor Tengah Selatan (TTS). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui makna filosofis, moral, dan sosial dari tradisi tersebut sebagai bagian dari warisan budaya lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, yang melibatkan tokoh adat serta masyarakat desa sebagai sumber informasi. Analisis ini difokuskan pada penafsiran makna simbolik, fungsi sosial, dan nilai-nilai budaya yang tercermin dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa “Naketi Uab” bukan sekedar kegiatan tradisional, melainkan media pendidikan moral dan perekat sosial yang menekankan nilai-nilai seperti saling menghormati, rasa syukur, keharmonisan dengan alam, dan tanggung jawab bersama.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of teachers' pedagogical competenceas a key pillar of educational quality, which is often hampered by the implementationof supervision that is merely an administrative formality. This study aims to exploreand analyze the supervision management of the principal at SMPN 3 Cipatat inimproving teachers' pedagogical competence, which includes aspects of planning,organizing, implementing, evaluating, and following up. The research method usedwas a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected throughin-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. The maininstrument of the study was the researcher himself, with data analysis techniquesfrom Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which included data reduction, datapresentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through sourceand technique triangulation. The results showed that supervision management atSMPN 3 Cipatat had been implemented as a systematic and continuous managerialprocess. Planning was carried out collaboratively by developing annual programsbased on teachers' needs. Organization involved the vice principal and seniorteachers to create a friendly professional atmosphere. Implementation follows aclinical supervision cycle consisting of pre-observation, classroom observation, andpost-observation stages through reflective discussion. Evaluation and follow-up arecarried out in the form of individual coaching and internal training. The researchfindings show an increase in the variety of learning methods, improvements ininstructional tools, and the growth of a culture of reflection among teachers. Theconclusion of this study confirms that professionally and humanistically managedsupervision is effective in improving teachers' pedagogical competence and creatinga conducive academic climate.

Abstract

This study examines the Sea Nono Heu tradition, a traditional ceremony that holds significant significance in the marriage system of the Amarasi people on Timor Island, East Nusa Tenggara. This tradition is part of a series of customary wedding ceremonies that must be carried out as a symbol of a woman's transition from her native clan to her husband's clan. This study used literature study and interview methods to explore the meaning, values, and implementation process of Sea Nono Heu. The results show that this tradition not only serves a social function as a marker of a woman's transition in status, but also has high spiritual and symbolic value. Through this ritual, the Amarasi people emphasize the patrilineal kinship system and respect for ancestors. The implementation process involves a series of traditional symbols, such as the draping of a shawl around the neck and the prohibition of looking back for the bride, which represent the change of clan and readiness to start a new life in the husband's family. Thus, Sea Nono Heu is not just a traditional wedding procession, but a reflection of the values ​​of togetherness, respect, and preservation of the Amarasi people's cultural identity that have been passed down from generation to generation.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study discusses Islamic Religious Education Teachers' Strategies in Improving Slow Learner Student Learning Motivation at SLB C Muzdalifah Medan Amplas. The main topics of discussion are: 1) What are the Islamic Religious Education Teachers' Strategies in Improving Slow Learner Student Learning Motivation at SLB C Muzdalifah Medan Amplas? 2) What are the supporting and inhibiting factors of Islamic Religious Education Teachers' Strategies in Improving Slow Learner Student Learning Motivation at SLB C Muzdalifah Medan Amplas? This study uses qualitative research with descriptive methods and field research. The data for this study were collected from SLB C Muzdalifah Medan Amplas. In the results of field research, How Islamic Religious Education Teachers' Strategies in Increasing Slow Learner Student Learning Motivation at SLB C Muzdalifah Medan Amplas are by implementing various strategies in learning such as direct learning (expository), using a student-centered learning approach with an individual system and a remedial approach, then the methods used by teachers for slow learner students are lecture methods, questions and answers, exercises, demonstrations with props, reward and punishment methods and assignments, then the steps taken by teachers in implementing learning are teachers coordinating with the principal and the parents of the students concerned, then guiding slow learners themselves and continuing to guide their shortcomings, one of which is by forming them in a small group and providing additional tutoring. The supporting and inhibiting factors of teacher strategies in increasing slow learner student learning motivation at SLB C Muzdalifah Medan Amplas are supporting factors: Teacher competence and dedication, School support, parental involvement, an individual approach and a positive learning environment. While inhibiting factors include: Limited resources, low parental participation, an unbalanced number of students, emotional and psychological conditions of students and lack of professional training.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari permasalahan rendahnya kemampuan berpikir logis pada anak usia dini, khususnya anak usia 5 tahun di TK Kartika 1-49 Kota Padangsidimpuan. Observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa banyak anak masih kesulitan mengenali pola sederhana, mencocokkan bentuk, serta menyusun potongan gambar menjadi bentuk yang utuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana permainan puzzle dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir logis anak usia 5 tahun. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen, melibatkan 36 anak yang dibagi menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan dari permainan puzzle terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir logis anak. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui hasil uji t, di mana t hitung sebesar 5,286 melebihi nilai t tabel 2,120 pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa permainan puzzle secara signifikan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir logis anak usia 5 tahun di TK Kartika 1-49 Kota Padangsidimpuan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyoroti Rumah Adat Tamkesi yang terletak di Kecamatan Biboki Selatan, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara, Nusa Tenggara Timur, sebagai wujud nyata warisan budaya dan identitas masyarakat Biboki. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menggambarkan sejarah terbentuknya Rumah Adat Tamkesi, menelaah bentuk serta makna simboliknya, menjelaskan pola mata pencaharian masyarakat adat, dan mengkaji fungsi bahasa Dawan (Uab Meto) dalam menjaga identitas budaya. Metode yang digunakan berupa studi pustaka dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif untuk menafsirkan data dari berbagai sumber, seperti buku, jurnal, artikel, dan dokumen penelitian. Proses analisis dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan guna memperoleh pemahaman mendalam terhadap nilai-nilai simbolik dan sosial yang terkandung dalam arsitektur Tamkesi. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa arsitektur tradisional Tamkesi terdiri atas empat bangunan utama: Sonaf Mnasi, Ume Kbubu, Lopo, dan Ume Kbat atau Kanaf, yang masing-masing memiliki fungsi sosial, ekonomi, budaya, dan religius yang saling berkaitan. Masyarakat Tamkesi juga masih mempertahankan pola hidup tradisional melalui kegiatan berburu, berladang berpindah, dan beternak, serta menjadikan bahasa Dawan sebagai sarana komunikasi utama dalam kehidupan sehari-hari maupun ritual adat, sehingga memperkuat identitas budaya mereka.
