Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the media construct and represent social reality through discursive practices. Using a critical discourse analysis approach, the study examines textual structures, discourse production practices, and the social contexts underlying them. The research data consist of news texts published by national mass media within a specific period and are analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques.The findings indicate that the media are not neutral in conveying information; rather, they actively shape meaning through the choice of diction, sentence structures, the highlighting of certain actors, and the omission of others. The constructed discourse tends to reflect ideological interests and dominant power relations within society. These findings suggest that the media function as agents of social construction that influence how the public understands an event.This study is expected to contribute theoretically to communication studies and media studies, as well as to serve as a reference for the public to adopt a more critical stance toward media-produced discourse.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the relationship between teachers’ pedagogical competence and teaching motivation and the quality of learning at SD Negeri Baros 6 Cimahi. A quantitative approach with a correlational research design was employed. The research subjects consisted of all teachers at SD Negeri Baros 6 Cimahi, totaling 19 teachers, who were selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and Spearman’s rank correlation, with consideration of the results of prerequisite tests. The findings indicated that teachers’ pedagogical competence and teaching motivation were in the high category, as was the quality of learning. The correlation analysis revealed a strong and significant positive relationship between teachers’ pedagogical competence and the quality of learning, as well as a very strong and significant positive relationship between teaching motivation and the quality of learning. The multiple correlation analysis showed that pedagogical competence and teaching motivation simultaneously had a very strong relationship with the quality of learning and contributed substantially to explaining variations in learning quality. These results emphasize that the quality of learning is not determined solely by teachers’ pedagogical competence but is also strongly influenced by their teaching motivation. Therefore, efforts to improve learning quality should focus on strengthening pedagogical competence while simultaneously enhancing teachers’ teaching motivation through continuous professional development and sustained institutional support.

Abstract

This research is based on the importance of transforming the tajdid movement as a key determinant of the success of Islamic da'wah in the era of disruption, which often faces challenges in the relevance of strategies and adaptation of information technology. This research aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the historical roots, the vision of "A True Islamic Society," the mission of enlightenment, and the strategic role of the autonomous Muhammadiyah organization in responding to contemporary dynamics. The method used is descriptive qualitative through library research. Data collection techniques include reviewing official organizational documents, congress manuscripts, and scientific journal articles related to Muhammadiyah's development. The results show that the management practices of the Muhammadiyah movement have been running very well, where the vision of Progressive Islam is implemented transparently through strengthening Muhammadiyah's Amal Usaha (AUM) and reflective-dialogical digital da'wah. This finding implies that the integration of the purification of faith and the dynamism of muamalah through institutional innovation is key to organizational sustainability. The novelty of this research lies in the analytical model of Muhammadiyah's da'wah strategy, which integrates aspects of critical digital literacy and strengthening economic independence as organizational culture in the cyber era. This research contributes to providing a best practice model for the governance of modern, inclusive and progressive religious organizations at the national and international levels.

Abstract

This study aims to test the influence of picture card media in improving early reading skills, as well as compare the extent of differences from conventional learning methods. This study uses a quasi-experimental approach designed to identify the cause-and-effect relationship between treatment and measured outcomes. The study used a Pretest Posttest One Group Design, where measurements were taken both before and after the intervention. The research instruments include learning modules and questionnaires to assess the media of picture cards and to evaluate the level of improvement in student improvement results. The findings showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results, namely an increase in initial reading ability. The significance value obtained was 0.000 (p < 0.05) showing that the learning applied, namely the medium of picture cards, had a substantial impact on improving participants' initial reading skills. Therefore, it can be concluded that the modification of the medium of illustrated cards is positive and statistically significant in improving students' initial reading ability. Overall, this study reaffirms the practical contribution for teachers in developing Indonesian learning that is interactive, contextual, and fun so that it can improve the initial reading ability of elementary school students

Abstract

This study aims to uncover the motivational values ​​in Khrisna Pabichara's novel Jenderal Kambing (Goat General) through a literary psychology approach with Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory. The main focus of this study is how the main character, Ibrahim, generates motivation in facing various social pressures and inner conflicts. Data are analyzed based on the interaction between the id, ego, and superego elements within the character, as well as the forms of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation that influence his actions. The results of the analysis show that Ibrahim is a character who is able to manage inner pressure through healthy self-defense mechanisms, and has a strong motivation to achieve his life goals. This novel contains not only social values, but also psychological values ​​that reflect the process of identity formation and the strength of motivation in facing life's obstacles. This study is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the relationship between literature and psychology through characters in fictional works.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an animated video learning media using Animaker on the topic of life cycles for third-grade elementary school students and to determine the feasibility of the developed media. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The research was conducted at SDN Bantarkambing 02, Bogor Regency, involving 32 third-grade students. Data were collected through expert validation sheets and student response questionnaires. The validation results showed that the media was categorized as highly feasible, with media expert validation at 94%, language expert validation at 94%, subject matter expert validation at 94% and 100%, and an average student response score of 95%. These findings indicate that the animated video learning media developed using Animaker is highly feasible and suitable for use in elementary school learning.

Abstract

Rapid developments have led to challenges in various areas of life, one of which is education. In this case, numeracy literacy is the aspect most highlighted by the Indonesian people because it is considered the most difficult challenge that must be resolved immediately. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which the application of the Jarimatika method can improve the numeracy competence of elementary school students, particularly in solving multiplication operations. This study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach with the aim of describing in depth the process of implementing the Jarimatika learning innovation in improving the numeracy competence of elementary school students. A qualitative approach was chosen because it allows researchers to obtain natural, contextual, and meaningful data through direct interaction with the research subjects. The results showed that the implementation of the Jarimatika learning innovation at SDN Nagrak 2 had a positive impact on improving students' numeracy skills. This method was effective in encouraging enjoyable learning activities and improving understanding of mathematical concepts. This study is expected to contribute to the development of more innovative and effective mathematics teaching methods. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Jarimatika learning innovation in improving the numeracy skills of elementary school students is effective in improving the numeracy skills of elementary school students, especially in multiplication operations. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the principal’s policies in addressing students’ moral crisis at SD Siti Amelia. The moral issues observed include indiscipline, lack of respect toward teachers, and aggressive behavior such as bullying. This research employs a qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques.The findings show that the principal implements several strategic policies to address students' moral issues, including: (1) the application of educative consequences for students involved in moral violations, such as reading selected surahs from Juz 30, writing apology statements, and even parental summons; (2) collaboration with guidance counselors, homeroom teachers, and Islamic education teachers in character development through regular meetings and integrated moral guidance; and (3) requiring students to participate in Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah (MDA) as a form of strengthening Islamic religious education beyond school hours. Moreover, the principal uses Islamic extracurricular activities such as Qur’an memorization (tahfiz), Qur’anic recitation (tilawah), and Islamic music (nasyid) as a medium for fostering moral and religious character. The study concludes that the principal's policies play a significant role in building a religious, disciplined, and morally sound school environment, and are effective in addressing students’ moral crises. These policies align with the principal’s role as a moral and spiritual leader in Islamic education settings.

Abstract

Learning media plays an important role in supporting the effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education learning, as it helps teachers deliver materials in a clearer, more engaging, and more meaningful way. Islamic Religious Education does not only focus on cognitive achievement but also emphasizes the development of attitudes and the application of Islamic values in students’ daily lives. Therefore, creative learning media is needed to avoid monotonous learning processes and to increase students’ involvement. This study aims to examine the role and development of creative learning media in Islamic Religious Education and its contribution to improving students’ learning outcomes. The study employed a qualitative approach using library research by reviewing relevant books and scientific journal articles published within the last five years. Data were analyzed through content analysis by organizing and interpreting findings based on key themes related to creative learning media, Islamic Religious Education, and learning outcomes. The results indicate that creative learning media can enhance students’ learning motivation and interest, encourage active participation, and support a deeper understanding of Islamic education materials. In addition, learning media that are designed in accordance with instructional objectives and students’ characteristics have a positive impact on learning outcomes, including knowledge, attitudes, and religious skills. Thus, the development of creative learning media is considered a strategic effort to improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning.

Abstract

The family serves as the initial and primary environment for a child’s education, laying the groundwork for personality development. In the Islamic perspective, the family functions as a central institution for instilling values, with the Qur’an highlighting the crucial role of parents in fostering faith, moral conduct, and ethical responsibility from an early age. Rapid social changes and technological advancements in recent years have influenced children’s learning patterns, making it increasingly important to strengthen the educational function of the family. This study aims to explore the role of the family as a Qur’anic-based educational foundation by reviewing relevant scholarly literature from the past five years. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied through a literature review, examining Qur’anic verses that address family education especially in modeling behavior, creating habits, and providing guidance as well as analyzing national and international research on Islamic education. The results indicate that the family acts not merely as a channel for knowledge transfer but also as a vital medium for character building and the cultivation of religious, moral, and social values. Evidence from recent studies demonstrates that proactive parental involvement significantly enhances children’s spiritual growth, behavior, and academic achievement. Consequently, reinforcing the family’s role as a Qur’anic educational base is imperative in addressing the challenges of contemporary education.
