Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) requires an approach that not only emphasizes cognitive aspects but also develops character, social skills, and students’ critical thinking abilities. This study aims to explore the implementation of cooperative learning models using the Jigsaw method and Inquiry method in PAI learning at SMA Negeri 11 Tebo. The research focus includes: (1) how both methods are implemented in PAI learning, (2) whether learning activities can be improved through these methods, and (3) the obstacles and advantages found during implementation. This study employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Research subjects are PAI teachers and students in grades X, XI, and XII at SMA Negeri 11 Tebo. The findings show that the implementation of the Jigsaw model and Inquiry method effectively increases active student participation, encourages collaboration among students, and enhances deep understanding of PAI materials. Learning activities experienced significant improvement marked by increased student involvement in group discussions, ability to express opinions, and mutual respect attitudes. Obstacles faced include difficulties in group coordination, time limitations, and differences in student abilities, while advantages found include the creation of more interactive and collaborative learning that develops students’ critical thinking skills. This research contributes to the development of more active, meaningful PAI learning strategies aligned with 21st-century education demands.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in mathematics subjects of grade II at UPTD SDN 1 Tanjung Inten, especially in addition and subtraction materials, which is indicated by the majority of students not reaching the Learning Objective Completion Criteria (KKTP). The purpose of the research is to improve students' learning outcomes in mathematics subjects on addition and subtraction materials through the use of picture game media. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects are 12 grade II students. Data collection techniques include learning outcome tests, student observation, and documentation. Data are analyzed descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of the study indicate that the use of picture media can improve students' learning outcomes. This is indicated by an increase in the percentage of learning completion from cycle I by 58.3%, increasing to 81.1% in cycle II. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of image media can improve learning outcomes in mathematics subjects on addition and subtraction for class II students at UPTD SDN 1 Tanjung Inten by 22.8%.

Abstract

This study aims to identify leading sectors and analyze their contribution to economic growth in Solok City during the 2019–2024 period. Economic growth is a crucial indicator for measuring the success of a region's development. As a strategic location in West Sumatra Province, Solok City possesses significant economic potential, particularly in the agriculture, trade, and transportation sectors. These sectors have long been the mainstays of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). However, the dynamics of global and local economic change demand empirical analysis to identify which sectors are truly superior, possessing competitiveness and long-term development potential. This study aims to identify leading sectors and analyze their contribution to Solok City's economic growth to ensure more effective and sustainable regional development. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach utilizing secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Solok City and West Sumatra Province for the 2019–2024 period. The analytical methods employed include the Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), and the Klassen Typology. These three methods are used in an integrated manner to measure sectoral contributions, assess growth prospects, and map the position of Solok City's economic sectors within the regional context. The research results show that the trade and transportation sectors are basic and prospective, indicated by LQ and DLQ values greater than one. The agricultural sector continues to contribute significantly, despite its slowing growth. Strengthening leading sectors through modernization, infrastructure development, and cross-sector integration is essential to achieve inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Solok City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' perceptions and to examine the challenges and enjoyment experienced by seventh grade students in writing procedural texts at SMP N 36 Bengkulu Utara. The research employed a mixed methods approach by integrating quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 54 seventh grade students, while qualitative data were obtained through interviews to support and clarify the questionnaire results. The findings indicate that students generally hold positive perceptions of procedural text writing, particularly because the learning materials are closely related to daily activities. However, students still face several challenges, especially in linguistic aspects such as limited vocabulary, grammatical accuracy, and sentence construction in English. In addition, psychological factors, including low self-confidence and fear of making mistakes, also influence students' writing ability. On the other hand, students experience enjoyment in writing procedural texts, especially when they receive positive feedback and appreciation from the teacher.

Abstract

Transformasi digital dalam pendidikan dasar menuntut perubahan paradigma pembelajaran serta penguatan peran kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin pembelajaran dan inovator digital. Keberhasilan integrasi teknologi di sekolah tidak hanya ditentukan oleh ketersediaan infrastruktur, tetapi juga oleh strategi kepemimpinan yang adaptif dan kontekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi kepala sekolah dalam mengelola dan mengoptimalkan kinerja pembelajaran pada konteks digital di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi multisitus pada dua sekolah dasar negeri di Kecamatan Bangil, Kabupaten Pasuruan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara tematik melalui proses reduksi, kategorisasi, dan interpretasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi kepala sekolah mencakup pembangunan visi dan budaya digital sekolah, penguatan kapasitas guru melalui supervisi instruksional, serta optimalisasi sumber daya dan kolaborasi dengan komunitas sekolah. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa efektivitas transformasi pembelajaran digital sangat dipengaruhi oleh integrasi kepemimpinan transformasional, instruksional, dan digital yang disesuaikan dengan konteks sosial dan budaya sekolah. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan model kepemimpinan digital di sekolah dasar dan merekomendasikan penguatan kapasitas kepala sekolah sebagai prioritas dalam kebijakan digitalisasi pendidikan. Penelitian lanjutan disarankan untuk memperluas cakupan lokasi dan menggunakan pendekatan campuran guna menguji dampak kepemimpinan digital terhadap capaian belajar siswa secara lebih terukur.

Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Citra Bangsa. Advisor I: Roswita Lioba Nahak, S.Pd., M.Pd. Advisor II: Heryon Bernard Mbuik, S.PAK., M.Pd. This study was backgrounded by the low IPAS learning outcomes at SD Inpres Kuanino 3 due to teacher-centered instruction and the lack of contextual media, making the eclipse topic difficult for students to understand. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of STEM-based diorama media on sixth-grade students’ IPAS learning outcomes and to provide an innovative learning alternative. This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design involving all 40 students (20 experimental, 20 control). The instrument was a 20-item multiple-choice test validated with Pearson Product Moment (all items valid, rcount > rtable 0.312) and reliability tested with the Spearman–Brown method (r11 = 0.777, high category). Item analysis showed 14 questions of moderate difficulty and 6 easy questions, with discrimination indices ranging from sufficient to very good. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Prerequisite tests included Shapiro–Wilk normality (sig. > 0.05) and Levene’s homogeneity (sig. > 0.05), indicating normal and homogeneous data. Hypothesis testing using a paired-sample t-test produced sig. 0.000 < 0.05, thus rejecting H₀. The average pretest score of 49,25 increased to 87,25 on the posttest. These results demonstrate that STEM-based diorama media is valid, reliable, practical, and effective in improving elementary students’ IPAS learning outcomes.

Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata Pendidikan (KKN-DIK) activities represent a form of student community service focused on enhancing learning quality in schools. This research aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes for ninth-grade students through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The activity was conducted at UPT SMPN 1 Polongbangkeng Utara, Takalar Regency, involving 32 students from class IX.1 as research subjects. The Classroom Action Research (PTK) method was employed over two cycles, encompassing planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected via classroom process observations and student learning outcome evaluations. Results indicate that the PBL model successfully increased student engagement during learning and significantly improved mathematics learning outcomes across attitude, knowledge, and skills aspects. Thus, Problem Based Learning serves as an innovative alternative to optimize mathematics learning in KKN-DIK programs.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of Islamic interactive learning media in instilling religious values in early childhood at Nurul Istiqomah Kindergarten, Muaro Panco Village, Merangin Regency. Early childhood education is a crucial phase in character development, particularly in embedding religious values as the foundation of children’s moral behavior. However, religious learning in many institutions is often still delivered through conventional methods that are less engaging. Therefore, learning innovation through Islamic interactive media is needed to create enjoyable and meaningful religious learning experiences. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subjects consisted of teachers and early childhood learners at Nurul Istiqomah Kindergarten. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through triangulation. The findings indicate that the use of Islamic interactive learning media, such as Islamic animated videos, religious children’s songs, and educational games, increases children’s learning interest and facilitates their understanding of religious concepts like daily prayers and manners in a more concrete way. The obstacles encountered include limited supporting facilities and teachers’ constraints in independently developing interactive media. Overall, Islamic interactive learning media are effective in instilling religious values in early childhood learners at Nurul Istiqomah Kindergarten.

Abstract

This thesis discusses the role of teachers in building the character of early childhood. This research was conducted at State Kindergarten 15 Mendalo Darat, Muaro Jambi Regency, Jambi Province. The purpose of this study was to determine how teachers build the character of early childhood, how to overcome obstacles in building the character of early childhood and what are the obstacles in building the character of early childhood. This research is a qualitative study, data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation to determine the role of teachers in building the character of early childhood. The results of the study showed that the role of teachers in building the character of early childhood in the modern era at State Kindergarten 15 Mendalo Darat, Muaro Jambi Regency, Jambi Province is as follows: First, teachers as informants, namely teachers can be a source of information in working together with friends. Second, teachers as motivators, namely teachers can motivate children to share with their friends. Third, teachers as initiators, namely teachers can teach in giving and answering greetings well. Fourth, teachers as facilitators, namely teachers create a pleasant learning atmosphere and make children obey the rules of the game. Fifth, teachers as evaluators, namely teachers give awards in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between learning discipline and learning outcomes in Fiqh subjects among students at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah or elementary school level. Learning discipline is one of the internal factors that plays an important role in supporting the success of the learning process, particularly in Fiqh subjects which require not only mastery of concepts but also understanding and application of Islamic values in daily life. Low levels of learning discipline, such as irregular study habits, lack of compliance with learning rules, and low commitment in completing academic tasks, are assumed to influence students’ learning outcomes in Fiqh. This research employed a quantitative approach using a correlational research design. The research subjects were fifth and sixth grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in the current academic year, selected through a random sampling technique. Data on learning discipline were collected using a questionnaire developed based on indicators of learning discipline, while data on learning outcomes in Fiqh were obtained from documented evaluation scores. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and the Pearson Product Moment correlation test to determine the relationship between learning discipline and learning outcomes in Fiqh. The results of the study indicate that students’ learning discipline levels are generally categorized as high, while learning outcomes in Fiqh fall into the moderate to high category. The correlation analysis reveals a positive and significant relationship between learning discipline and learning outcomes in Fiqh subjects. These findings suggest that higher levels of learning discipline are associated with better learning outcomes in Fiqh. Therefore, learning discipline plays a strategic role in improving students’ learning outcomes in Fiqh at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah or elementary school level. This study is expected to serve as a reference for teachers and schools in developing learning strategies that emphasize the strengthening of students’ learning discipline.
