Abstract

This study aims to describe efforts to optimize the literacy corner as a means of increasing the reading interest of fifth-grade students at SDN 75 Bentang. The background of this study is based on the low reading interest of students caused by limited reading facilities and the lack of a variety of interesting reading materials in the school environment. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The subjects of the study were 28 fifth-grade students at SDN 75 Bentang. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and actions. The results of the study indicate that optimal management of the literacy corner through the arrangement of a comfortable reading space, the provision of diverse reading books, and the active involvement of teachers in literacy activities has a positive effect on increasing students' reading interest. After the optimization was carried out, fifth-grade students showed increased enthusiasm in reading and actively utilized the literacy corner at the front of the class. Thus, optimizing the literacy corner has proven effective as a strategy to foster a reading culture at SDN 75 Bentang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of pesantren-based learning as a model of holistic religious education at SMP Islam Bustanul Hikmah Lamongan. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research involved the principal, teachers, and students, with data collected through interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The findings show that the pesantren applies a Full Day School model integrating religious and general curricula. Learning methods such as Sorogan, Musyawaroh, and Tiqror are combined with special programs like Yanbu’a, Tahfidz, and Kitab Kuning. Daily practices, including salat dhuha and salat hajat, help strengthen students’ character and discipline. Challenges related to administrative requirements and teacher professionalism are addressed through curriculum training, specialized method training, and professional staff support. This integrative approach fosters balanced and adaptive holistic education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Wahdah method in improving Qur’anic memorization among eleventh-grade students at Madrasah Aliyah Masmur Pekanbaru. The background of this research is based on students’ low memorization ability, particularly in fluency, accuracy of tajwid, and retention of memorized verses. The Wahdah method is a Qur’anic memorization technique that emphasizes memorizing verses one by one through repeated recitation until they are firmly embedded in memory. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, involving 20 eleventh-grade students as research subjects. Data were collected through oral memorization tests, observation of teacher and student activities, and documentation. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Wahdah method significantly improved students’ Qur’anic memorization skills. This improvement is reflected in the increase in the average scores and learning mastery percentages, from 20% in the pre-cycle stage, rising to 75% in Cycle I, and reaching 100% in Cycle II. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Wahdah method is effective in enhancing Qur’anic memorization among eleventh-grade students at Madrasah Aliyah Masmur Pekanbaru.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the learning of IPAS (Integrated Science and Social Studies) in shaping the moral behavior of students at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Surabaya. The study employs a qualitative approach with descriptive qualitative methods. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that IPAS learning can be linked to moral education. Indicators of moral behavior include: (1) concern for others, (2) decision-making, (3) appreciation for diversity in the environment and society, (4) honesty and integrity, (5) empathy and social skills, and (6) responsibility and independence. IPAS learning on the topic of the struggles of national heroes through discussions about historical figures and important events provides students with the opportunity to understand the history of the nation's heroes while exploring the moral values contained within it to reflect on their actions. This article emphasizes the importance of integrating moral values into IPAS learning, which can shape students' moral behavior and be applied in everyday life.

Abstract

echnological advancements in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 require teachers, including Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers, to possess pedagogical competencies integrated with technological mastery and subject matter knowledge. One relevant conceptual framework to address these demands is Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK). This study aims to examine the concept, components, learning models, types of technology, and the integration of TPACK in Islamic Religious Education learning, as well as to identify factors that hinder its implementation. The method employed in this study is a literature review by analyzing various relevant sources, including books and scholarly articles. The findings indicate that TPACK represents a synthesis of technological knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, and content knowledge that interact with one another to create effective, innovative, and contextual Islamic Religious Education learning. The implementation of TPACK in Islamic Religious Education can be carried out through various learning models, such as blended literacy, discovery learning, inquiry learning, problem-based learning, digital game-based learning, and video-based learning. The integration of TPACK has been shown to enhance students’ learning motivation and support the achievement of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor competencies. However, the implementation of TPACK still faces several challenges, including teachers’ limited pedagogical and technological competencies, as well as insufficient supporting facilities and infrastructure. Therefore, strengthening TPACK competencies among Islamic Religious Education teachers is a strategic necessity to improve the quality of learning in the twenty-first century.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of artificial intelligence-based learning management in improving students' critical thinking skills at SDN 2 Selaawi, Maniis District, Purwakarta Regency. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach, involving the principal, teachers, school operators, and students as informants. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. After data collection, the data were analyzed interactively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that artificial intelligence-based learning at SDN 2 Selaawi has been implemented based on four management functions: planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating or monitoring, but has not been optimal. The planning aspect focuses on targeting students' critical thinking competencies, organizing ICT resources, implementing through the use of adaptive platforms, and process-based evaluation. Field findings indicate that the use of artificial intelligence can improve students' critical thinking skills in evaluating information and formulating solutions independently. Although still hampered by teachers' digital competence and stable connectivity, school management commitment is a key factor in the success of this program. The conclusion of this study confirms that effective management of the use of artificial intelligence can create an interactive learning ecosystem and stimulate critical thinking skills in elementary school students.

Abstract

Improving Mathematics Learning Outcomes through the Game-Based Learning (GBL) Model for Fifth Grade Students at UPT SD Negeri 56 Palilang. Thesis. Department of Elementary School Teacher Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. Supervisor I: Nasrun; Supervisor II: Ernawati. The main problem in this research is how to implement the Game-Based Learning model to improve students' Mathematics learning outcomes for fifth grade students at UPT SD Negeri 56 Palilang. This research aims to improve students' learning outcomes using the Game-Based Learning model for fifth grade students at UPT SD Negeri 56 Palilang. This type of research is classroom action research, consisting of two cycles where each cycle is carried out in two meetings. The research procedure includes planning, implementing actions, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research are 16 fourth grade students at UPT SD Negeri 56 Palilang (note: there is an inconsistency mentioning fourth grade, but the main context is fifth grade). The research results show that in the first cycle, only 10 out of 16 students (63%) completed individually and met the minimum mastery criteria (KKM) or were in the sufficient category. Classically, mastery was achieved as the average score obtained was 75. In the second cycle, 14 out of 16 students (88%) met the KKM, and classical mastery was achieved with an average score of 80, which is in the good category. Additionally, the use of the game-based learning model could improve students' learning outcomes: in the pre-cycle, 0 students got very high scores; in the first cycle, this increased to 1 student; and in the second cycle, it increased to 6 students. Based on the above research results, it can be concluded that the Mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students at UPT SD Negeri 56 Palilang have improved through the implementation of the Game-Based Learning model.

Abstract

The advancement of the digital age has undoubtedly brought about significant changes in various aspects of life, including education. However, challenges that must be faced, arising concurrently with technological development, require the formation of a resilient educational character to withstand negative impacts and optimize its positive benefits for Generation Z. The purpose of this study is to analyze how philosophy serves as the foundation for character formation for Generation Z in the digital age. It is important to recognize that philosophical values ​​function not only as theory but also as ethical and reflective guidelines. The research method used for this study was qualitative, using a literature study approach, collecting and analyzing various academic sources on the function of philosophy of science and the challenges of education in the digital age. The results show that educational philosophy plays a crucial role in forming a strong and ethical educational character in the digital age. Through the application of philosophical values ​​such as critical analysis, moral introspection, and responsibility, education can create a generation prepared to face the challenges and negative effects of technological development.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Model pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini adalah Problem Based Learning yang pelaksanaannya dilaksanakan selama II siklus. Subyek peenelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VA SDN Bendungan Semarangdengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 28. Penerapan model Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Matematika materi Pengumpulan dan Penyajian Data. Pada siklus I peserta didik telah mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar sebesar 21,43% dan pada siklus II telah mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar sebanyak 39,28%. Berdasarkan pemaparan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa model Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran Matematika materi Pengumpulan dan Penyajian Data. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dari adanya ketuntasan belajar peserta didik dari pra siklus sampai siklus II yang meningkat.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of service quality and brand equity on customer loyalty at Sippin Balige, which operates in a competitive tourism-based market environment. This study addresses the empirical gap where service quality and brand equity are rated highly by customers, but do not significantly shape loyalty. Using a quantitative approach and involving 200 respondents, data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed through validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, and bootstrapping. The results show that service quality and brand equity have a positive but insignificant effect on customer loyalty, both partially and simultaneously. Bootstrapping analysis reinforced these findings, where the coefficient estimates were stable but the confidence intervals still crossed zero. These findings indicate that customer loyalty is not only determined by service quality and brand equity, but is also influenced by other factors. This study makes a theoretical contribution by highlighting the paradox between positive customer perceptions and low loyalty in the context of the contemporary beverage industry in tourist areas such as Balige.
