Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Aksara Kata Program through joyful storytelling activities in strengthening elementary school students’ literacy skills. This research employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. The research subjects consisted of the principal, teachers, and students at SD Negeri 015 Tanjung Jabung Barat. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the Aksara Kata Program was implemented in a planned and sustainable manner through storytelling activities that actively engaged students. These activities contributed to improving students’ reading and writing literacy skills, fostering reading interest, and enhancing students’ confidence in expressing ideas both orally and in writing. Supporting factors included strong support from the school principal, active teacher involvement, and students’ enthusiasm, while challenges involved limited facilities and differences in students’ literacy abilities. The Aksara Kata Program also functions as a co-curricular activity that strengthens intraclass learning and promotes a school literacy culture. Therefore, joyful storytelling activities within the Aksara Kata Program are an effective strategy for strengthening literacy in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to integrate Islamic religious education values ​​into the Visual Sense Material in elementary schools through the Connected Model. The research method used is a literature review with data sourced from scientific journals published in 2022-2024. The results of the study indicate that the integration of the values ​​of gratitude, trust, and the ethics of using sight can improve students' conceptual understanding and spiritual attitudes. The Connected Model effectively connects scientific concepts about the sense of sight with Islamic teachings, creating meaningful and holistic learning. This approach helps students understand the biological mechanisms of vision and fosters gratitude for maintaining eye health as a blessing from Allah. This integration supports the formation of students who are not only scientifically literate but also have character and spiritual awareness.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of teachers in fostering students’ ethics and morals at SDN 006 Mukti Jaya, Rokan Hilir. The research is grounded in the growing decline in students’ ethical and moral behavior, reflected in impolite attitudes, low discipline, the use of inappropriate language, and a lack of respect toward teachers and peers. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects consist of six teachers and six students who serve as key informants. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that teachers play a crucial role in developing students’ ethics and morals through five major roles: as educators and instructors, mediators and facilitators, role models, motivators, and as guides and evaluators. Teachers instill ethical values through exemplary behavior, positive habituation, motivation, and the creation of a supportive learning environment. Furthermore, teachers address moral violations through personal guidance, counseling, and explanations regarding responsibility and respectful behavior. However, the study also identifies several inhibiting factors, including exposure to social media, peer influence, and inadequate parental support. This study concludes that teachers hold a significant role in shaping students’ character, yet stronger collaboration between schools, families, and the community is needed to ensure optimal ethical and moral development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of using the Busun application on improving the vocabulary skills of tenth-grade students at SMAN 23 Makassar in the 2024/2025 academic year: This research design used a quasi-experimental method with a quantitative approach. The sample was 60 students, consisting of 30 students in the control class and 30 students in the experimental class. This study used a pre-test and post-test, followed by treatment over four meetings. The control class used textbooks as learning media, while the experimental class used the Busuu application. The research data were obtained from the pre-test and post-test results, which were analyzed to determine the improvement in students' vocabulary skills. The results showed that the average pre-test score of students in the control class was 62.93 and the post-test was 70.93, while the average pre-test score in the experimental class was 62.93. The experimental class's average score was 56.67, and the post-test score was 80.53. There was a significant increase in the experimental class's average score of 23.86 after the treatment compared to the control class. The t-test results showed a value of 0.004 < 0.05, therefore, Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the use of the Busu application as a Technology-Based Learning has an effect on improving the vocabulary of 10th-grade Merdeka 2 students at SMAN 23 Makassar.

Abstract

Conventional student worksheets (LKPD), widely used in elementary schools, have been shown to have no significant impact on science learning outcomes in the classroom. This situation is even more pronounced when these LKPDs are used in differentiated learning that employs more than one learning method. Therefore, researchers developed an interactive digital LKPD based on local wisdom that can be used in digitally differentiated learning via PCs or smartphones. This study employed the Dick and Carey research and development model. The instruments used included interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The results produced an interactive LKPD based on local wisdom for science learning. Based on the analysis of pre-test and post-test results, there was a significant increase in student learning outcomes, with satisfactory final results. Therefore, it can be concluded that the interactive LKPD based on local wisdom is capable of improving student science learning outcomes in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using multiplication puzzles on the mathematics learning outcomes of third-grade students at SD Negeri 29 Banyuanyara. The background of this study is based on the problems of low student learning outcomes in multiplication, lack of interest in learning, and limited variety of learning media used by teachers. This study used an experimental method with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research subjects consisted of 30 students divided into an experimental group and a control group. Data collection techniques were carried out through learning achievement tests, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the use of multiplication puzzles had a positive effect on improving student learning outcomes. Students who learned using puzzles demonstrated a better understanding of multiplication concepts, were more active during learning, and were more enthusiastic in solving math problems. Thus, multiplication puzzles have proven effective as an engaging and interactive learning tool, capable of improving elementary school student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Moral development in early childhood is a crucial component of character formation and is influenced by various environmental factors, including the rapid advancement of digital technology. This study aims to describe early childhood moral development in the digital era through a case study at PAUD Mentari Kelet, as well as to examine the influencing factors and the role of educational institutions in instilling moral values. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. The research participants included children aged 4–6 years, teachers, and parents. Data were collected through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis, supported by source and method triangulation to ensure data validity. The findings indicate that the level of moral development among children at PAUD Mentari Kelet ranges from moderate to good. Variations in moral development are influenced by the intensity of digital media use and the quality of guidance provided by teachers and parents. Children who use digital media under supervision tend to demonstrate more positive moral behaviors, such as rule compliance, empathy, and cooperative skills. In contrast, unsupervised use of digital devices may lead to difficulties in self-control and reduced social interaction. The implementation of character-based digital guidance resulted in an improvement in children’s moral development, with an N-Gain score in the moderate category. It can be concluded that digital technology does not inherently have a negative impact on early childhood moral development when utilized appropriately and accompanied by consistent guidance. Therefore, collaboration between schools and parents plays a vital role in optimizing the use of digital media as a supportive tool for moral education in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of learning motivation and parental involvement in improving the learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN 2 Teruwai. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The research subjects consisted of 12 third-grade students selected using total sampling technique. Data on learning motivation and parental involvement were collected through questionnaires, while data on learning outcomes were obtained from student evaluation scores. Data analysis techniques included descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests consisting of normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation tests, as well as Pearson's correlation and multiple correlation tests using the SPSS program. The results of descriptive statistical analysis showed that student learning motivation, parental involvement, and learning outcomes were in the good category. The results of the normality test showed that all data were normally distributed, while the results of the multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation tests showed that the analysis model had met the classical assumptions. The results of the Pearson correlation test showed a strong and positive relationship between learning motivation and student learning outcomes as well as between parental involvement and student learning outcomes. Furthermore, the results of the multiple correlation test showed that learning motivation and parental involvement together had a very strong relationship with student learning outcomes, so it can be concluded that motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes after implementing thematic learning using the Problem-Based Instruction Model. This research is a class action research (CAR) which was carried out for two cycles. The subjects of this study were 28 grade III students at SDN Peterongan Semarang City. Collecting data using observation techniques and learning achievement tests. The collected data were analyzed by calculating the percentage of learning success and the average value achieved by students. The results showed that the thematic learning outcomes through the application of the Problem-Based Instruction (PBI) learning model in class III students in semester II of the 2022/2023 school year were stated to increase, this was evidenced by an increase in the average class III student learning outcomes in cycle I by 72, 85 and in cycle II to 80.35. Thus, the application of the Problem-Based Instruction (PBI) learning model to third-grade students at SDN Peterongan Semarang City can improve thematic learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the implementation of Environmental Management Accounting and Business Strategy on Company Performance at PT SGN MKSO Takalar Estate Unit. This research uses a quantitative method with an associative approach. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires to 40 employees of PT SGN MKSO Takalar Estate Unit and analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) version 26 through validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, multicollinearity tests, heteroscedasticity tests, multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results show that the implementation of environmental management accounting and business strategy has a positive and significant effect, both partially and simultaneously, on company performance. This indicates that the greater the company’s responsibility toward the environment, the greater the positive impact on its performance, and that the effective and efficient implementation of business strategies can enhance company performance.
