Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the problem of how students’ perceptions of the Social Skills course contribute to the development of social concern among students of the Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Lampung. The research aimed to determine the extent to which students’ perceptions of the course are related to the development of their social concern. A quantitative approach with a descriptive research design was employed. The population consisted of 208 PPKn students from the 2022 and 2023 cohorts, and a sample of 67 respondents was selected using simple random sampling. Data were analyzed using frequency distribution analysis to describe students’ perceptions of the Social Skills course and the level of social concern development. The findings revealed that students generally had positive perceptions of the Social Skills course, and these perceptions played an important role in fostering social concern. Through case-based learning activities, students were able to actualize social skills in real-life situations, both within the campus environment and in the broader community. The study concludes that the Social Skills course not only enhances students’ academic competencies but also strengthens their social character as prospective educators and responsible, caring citizens.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Picture and Picture serta motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik. Permasalahan yang diangkat adalah rendahnya hasil belajar yang diduga dipengaruhi oleh metode pembelajaran yang digunakan dan tingkat motivasi belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket untuk mengukur motivasi belajar dan dokumentasi nilai untuk mengukur hasil belajar. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda setelah memenuhi uji prasyarat analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Picture and Picture berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar. Sementara itu, motivasi belajar secara parsial tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar, meskipun memiliki arah hubungan positif. Namun, secara simultan model Picture and Picture dan motivasi belajar bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar dengan tingkat hubungan yang kuat, yang berarti sebagian besar variasi hasil belajar dapat dijelaskan oleh kedua variabel tersebut. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran yang efektif memiliki peran lebih dominan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar, sedangkan motivasi belajar berfungsi sebagai faktor pendukung yang memperkuat proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the effect of the Inquiry learning model and the Self-Directed Learning model on students’ learning independence in the ICT subject at SMP Islam Al-Azhar 37 Pekanbaru. The main problem addressed in this research is the low level of students’ learning independence in the ICT subject, which is indicated by a lack of initiative, dependence on the teacher, and low confidence in expressing opinions. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method. The population of this study consisted of eighth-grade students, with the sample determined through purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was a learning independence questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques included normality test, homogeneity test, t-test, and N-Gain test. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the implementation of the Inquiry learning model and the Self-Directed Learning model on students’ learning independence. The average increase in learning independence using the Self-Directed Learning model was 47.61%, while the Inquiry model showed an average increase of 35.11%. Therefore, the Self-Directed Learning model is more effective in improving students’ learning independence in the ICT subject.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan efektivitas model pembelajaran Case Based Learning (CBL) dan Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Informatika di SMPN 1 Pekanbaru. Penelitian menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent control group design. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas VII yang dipilih secara purposive sampling, masing-masing diberi perlakuan CBL dan PBL. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket motivasi dalam bentuk pretest dan posttest, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, uji t, dan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua model dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, namun terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Hal ini terlihat dari peningkatan nilai rata-rata motivasi belajar model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning sebesar 41,53%. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata motivasi belajar Case Based Learning sebesar 37,66%. Dengan demikian Model Problem Based Learning menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan Case Based Learning. Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of student activeness in fourth grade at MI YPPI 1945 Babat, which is still dominated by certain students, while others tend to be passive in the learning process. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of process differentiation through a variety of learning methods on student activity. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type and a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of 60 grade IV students divided into an experimental group (IV B) and a control group (IV A) with a saturated sampling technique. The research instrument was a student activity observation sheet that included five indicators, namely discussion participation, courage to ask questions, ability to express opinions, group work involvement, and responses to teacher questions. Data analysis used the N-Gain test and paired sample t-test. The results showed that the average N-Gain of the experimental group was 0.73 (high category) and the control group was 0.38 (medium category). The hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, so there was a significant effect on increasing student activity after the application of process differentiation through a variety of learning methods. Thus, process differentiation through variations in learning methods is effective in increasing the activeness of fourth grade students at MI YPPI 1945 Babat and can be used as an alternative student-centered learning strategy

Abstract

This study was motivated by the problem of rampant acts of bullying in elementary schools, which can have a negative impact on students' social and emotional development. One preventive measure that can be taken is to educate students about bullying. This study aims to develop a quartet card game to improve elementary school students' understanding of bullying. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects are upper grade students (grades IV-VI) at SDN Cilaja 3. The data collection techniques used included interviews and questionnaires.The results of the study show that media and material expert validation scored 95% (highly feasible), language expert validation scored 89% (highly feasible), and practitioner expert validation scored 100% (highly feasible). Thus, the average score of all assessments was 95%, which is highly feasible for use and implementation. In addition, a limited trial of the media was conducted on 6 upper grade students (representatives of grades V-VI) and produced an average score of 90% with a very feasible category. Furthermore, the pre-test and post-test results showed an increase in understanding of bullying from the low category to the high category, with an average N-Gain score of 81%, which is included in the effective category. Based on these results, the quartet card game media is considered highly feasible and can be used as an alternative media to improve students' understanding of bullying in elementary schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an effect of the jigsaw learning model assisted by mind mapping media on the learning outcomes of third-grade IPAS students at SDN 14 Kelakik. Based on observations and interviews, the researcher found that students have difficulty understanding the material, learning media is still minimal, learning is book-centered, students are less active in class, and the strengthening and development of students' ideas during the learning process is not yet optimal. This impacts the minimal learning outcomes and less than optimal knowledge in IPAS learning. The research method used is the pre-experimental method, with a quantitative approach. The design uses a One Group Pretest-Posttest. The population of this study is all third-grade students. The instruments and data collection techniques in this study are pretest-posttest tests in the form of 10 multiple-choice questions, with the sample taken using the Shapiro-Wilk technique, consisting of 26 third-grade students. If the tested data for normality is declared normal, a paired sample t-test will be conducted to determine the effect of the pretest and posttest results. Based on the hypothesis test results, it was obtained that Thitung>Ttabel (8.17>1.14) so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, therefore it can be concluded that there is an effect of using the jigsaw learning model assisted by mind mapping media on IPAS learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Index Card Match learning model on the interest and mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah Mimbar. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental research type and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were fourth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah Mimbar, totaling 24 students. Data collection techniques used a learning interest questionnaire and a mathematics learning outcome test. Data analysis employed the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and the paired sample t-test. The results of the study indicate that there was an increase in students' interest in learning after implementing the Index Card Match model, with the average learning interest score increasing from 58.25 to 69.21. In addition, students' mathematics learning outcomes also improved, as shown by the average pretest score of 67.50 and posttest score of 80.21. The paired t-test results showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), which means that there is a significant effect of applying the Index Card Match model on students' interest and learning outcomes in mathematics. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Index Card Match learning model has a significant impact on improving the interest and learning outcomes in mathematics of fourth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah Mimbar. This model is effective because it is able to create an active, interactive, and enjoyable learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the leadership style of school principals who are oriented towards the formation of a supportive educational environment for all students, especially for children with special needs. The method used in this study is a qualitative study with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique was carried out through in-depth interviews and observations in several elementary schools in Bima City, which were then analyzed using thematic analysis. The results show that visionary principals are able to integrate inclusive and child-friendly values into school policies and practices, as well as motivate teachers and staff to collaborate in creating a conducive learning environment. These findings make a significant contribution to the development of school leadership models that are more adaptive and responsive to the needs of all students, as well as underscore the importance of leadership that puts students at the center of the learning process. The conclusions of this study reflect that effective visionary leadership not only drives academic achievement but also creates an inclusive and child-friendly school culture.

Abstract

This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) employing the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), aimed at developing a learning evaluation tool using Educaplay on the topic of Cooperative Living Patterns. The study was conducted at SD Pertiwi, Bogor City, with 32 fourth-grade students during the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The validity test was carried out by media experts, a language expert, and two subject matter experts. In addition to expert assessments, questionnaires were distributed to students and teachers to further develop and refine the learning evaluation tool using Educaplay. The validation results showed that media experts rated it at 92% (Very Feasible), the language expert at 98% (Very Feasible), the subject matter expert (lecturer) at 88% (Very Feasible), and the subject matter expert (teacher) at 80% (Very Feasible). The student response questionnaire yielded a score of 88% (Very Feasible), while the teacher response reached 90% (Very Feasible). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the learning evaluation developed using Educaplay is suitable for use by elementary school students in classroom learning activities.
