Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Adiwiyata Program in instilling character values among elementary school students at SDN Jajar Tunggal III/452 Wiyung. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a field research design. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The findings indicate that the Adiwiyata Program plays a role in fostering students’ character values, particularly discipline, responsibility, cooperation, environmental awareness, and honesty. These values are cultivated through daily school activities, environment-based learning, and exemplary behavior demonstrated by teachers. The Adiwiyata Program not only contributes to creating a clean and healthy school environment but also supports the sustainable development of students’ character from an early age.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between democratic parenting styles and the social behavior of students at SD Muhammadiyah 9 Palembang. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The research subjects consisted of 33 parents and 33 sixth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 9 Palembang in the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The sampling technique used saturated sampling. Data collection was conducted through a Likert scale questionnaire, observation, and documentation. The research instruments had undergone validity and reliability tests, with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.679 for the variable of democratic parenting and 0.762 for the variable of student social behavior, thus declared reliable. The results of descriptive statistical analysis showed that the average score for democratic parenting was 55.21 and the average score for student social behavior was 77.27, both of which were in the fairly good category. The results of the Pearson Product Moment correlation test showed a correlation coefficient of 0.943, indicating a very strong and positive relationship between democratic parenting and student social behavior. A significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 indicates that the relationship is statistically significant. Based on these research results, it can be concluded that democratic parenting has a very strong and significant relationship with students' social behavior.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the observation that during the teaching and learning process of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS), many students still demonstrate low learning motivation. The use of conventional teaching methods, such as lectures and written assignments, tends to be less effective in attracting students' interest. The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation of interactive media in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject for third-grade students at SD Negeri 056034 Alur Cempedak and to determine whether the use of interactive media can improve students' learning motivation in this subject. This study employs a classroom action research design, consisting of two cycles. Each cycle includes four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques used in this study include observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects are third-grade students at SD Negeri 056034 Alur Cempedak. The results of data analysis indicate that the use of interactive media can enhance students' learning motivation in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject. Observation results show an increase in student engagement from the first cycle to the second, with the average score rising from 71.27% (categorized as fair) to 81% (categorized as good). It can be concluded that the use of interactive media can improve the learning motivation of third-grade students in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject at SD Negeri 056034 Alur Cempedak.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the creative thinking skills of second-grade students at SDN 058122 Batang Rejo through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by comic media. The primary problem addressed in this research is the low level of students' creative thinking skills, caused by conventional learning processes and the minimal use of innovative visual media. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The research subjects consisted of 10 second-grade students at SDN 058122 Batang Rejo. Data collection was carried out through creative thinking skills tests, observations of teacher and student activities, interviews, and documentation.The results of the study show a significant increase in every indicator of students' creative thinking skills. The achievements in Cycle II demonstrate that the indicator for fluency reached 83.33%, flexibility reached 80%, elaboration reached 71.67%, and originality reached 65%. The use of comic media proved effective in visualizing abstract material concepts into more concrete forms for lower-grade students, thereby triggering imagination and independent idea exploration. It is concluded that the integration of the PBL model and comic media successfully and significantly improves the creative thinking skills of second-grade students at SDN 058122 Batang Rejo.

Abstract

The lack of understanding on how to Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and the suboptimal critical thinking skills of students due to curriculum transition are the background of this research. This research aims to analyze the implementation of PBL in shaping the profile of Pancasila students with critical thinking elements. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a sample of 15 fourth-grade students and 1 class teacher selected through purposive sampling technique. The results show that the implementation of PBL is in accordance with the PBL syntax and can improve students' critical thinking skills, with good mastery in expressing opinions (73.33%), but 66.7% of students still require guidance in identifying assumptions and biases. The main conclusion of this research is that the implementation of PBL is effective in shaping the profile of Pancasila students with critical thinking elements. The implications of this research include theoretical and practical aspects, as well as opening up opportunities for further studies on the effectiveness of PBL.

Abstract

The increasing demand for electrical energy drives the need for a more efficient monitoring and control system. This study designs and tests a prototype of an IoT-based temperature control and electrical power monitoring system applied to a boarding room. The system uses NodeMCU ESP8266 as the main microcontroller, PZEM-004T sensor for measuring voltage, current, and power, DHT22 sensor for temperature and humidity, a relay module as a load controller, and the Arduino IoT Cloud platform for remote monitoring and control via a website. Electrical and temperature parameters are displayed locally via OLED and online through a web dashboard. The research methods include literature study, system design, hardware and software assembly, as well as testing and measuring device performance. The testing was conducted on a load consisting of two lamps and one fan with a voltage of 220 VAC. The measurement results show that the system is capable of reading electrical parameters with a small margin of error, where the display difference between the OLED and the website is relatively low. The system also successfully performs remote control functions with stable relay responses to commands from the website. Based on these results, the prototype is considered capable of operating accurately, in real-time, and reliably in monitoring and controlling small-scale electricity consumption. This system has the potential to help improve energy efficiency, particularly in simple residential settings such as boarding rooms, and can be further developed for larger-scale applications with enhancements in security, network reliability, and automatic notification features.

Abstract

This study is motivated by students’ low understanding of mathematical concepts, particularly in circle material, which is caused by learning processes that are not yet fully contextual and do not actively engage students. This study aims to determine the effect of the ethnomathematics-based Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach on grade VI students’ understanding of circle concepts at SDN Lampeuneurut Aceh Besar. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a nonequivalent control group design. The research population consisted of all grade VI students at SDN Lampeuneurut, with the sample comprising two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class, selected using purposive sampling. The research instrument was a 10-item essay test administered in the form of pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 31 with an independent sample t-test. The results showed a significance value (2-tailed) < 0.001 < 0.05, indicating that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the ethnomathematics-based Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach has a significant effect on grade VI students’ understanding of circle concepts at SDN Lampeuneurut Aceh Besar.

Abstract

One Hour Notice (OHN) is a critical procedure in ship operations designed to ensure readiness before the vessel conducts maneuvering activities such as departure, berthing, or handling conditions requiring heightened alertness. The implementation of One Hour Notice (OHN) requires effective coordination between deck and engine watchkeepers to ensure that all steps are carried out according to operational standards. This study aims to evaluate the watchkeeping officers’ understanding of the OHN procedure and assess its implementation on board MT. Pis Patriot, as well as identify potential obstacles encountered during its execution. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method supported by observation, structured interviews, and documentation. Informants include deck watch officers, engine watch officers, and the Chief Engineer. The research instruments consist of observation sheets, interview guides, and documentation checklists. Data were analyzed using the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing based on the Miles and Huberman model. The results indicate that the officers’ understanding of One Hour Notice (OHN) falls into the “fairly good” category, although several inaccuracies remain regarding specific objectives and procedural sequences. The implementation of One Hour Notice (OHN) on board is generally effective but not yet fully consistent, particularly concerning time synchronization, inter-department coordination, and the completion of inspection checklists. Main obstacles include limited training, outdated SOPs, and insufficient routine evaluations by ship management. Overall, this study concludes that although One Hour Notice (OHN) implementation on MT. Pis Patriot is functioning adequately, improvements in theoretical understanding and procedural compliance are needed to fully support ship safety and operational efficiency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between arm muscle power and hand-eye coordination on the overhand serve skill in volleyball among extracurricular students at SMA Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung. The study used a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The population consisted of 20 students, all of whom were included as the sample using total sampling technique. The instruments used were a pull and push dynamometer to measure arm muscle power, a ball toss and catch test to measure hand-eye coordination, and a test to assess the overhand serve skill in volleyball. The results showed that: 1) There is a significant relationship between arm muscle power and overhand serve skill with a correlation of r.hitung 0,638 > r.tabel 0,444, indicating that the better the arm muscle power, the higher the serve ability of the students. 2) There is a significant relationship between hand-eye coordination and overhand serve skill with a correlation of r.hitung 0,716 > r.tabel 0,444. 3) There is a significant relationship between arm muscle power, hand-eye coordination, and overhand serve skill with a correlation of r.hitung 0,742 > r.tabel 0,444. This study emphasizes that the success of overhand serve skills in volleyball depends on both physical strength and proper movement coordination.

Abstract

This study uses a qualitative approach with the following approaches: sociological, normative theological, and juridical. The data sources for this study are interviews with the managers and visitors of Telaga Biru Park Sharia Tourism, and the people of Lempong Village. Furthermore, the data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that the management mechanism is carried out by the Islamic boarding school administrators and the surrounding community, and that the sharia tourism services at TelagaBiru Park are running well with adequate facilities. However, the sharia tourism practices at Telaga Biru Park have not fully implemented DSN MUI Fatwa No. 108/DSN-MUI/X/2016 regarding guidelines for organizing tourism based on sharia principles. This is evident from the lack of facilities to separate the men's and women's pools, which are not covered, so that the curves of the body caused by the clothing sticking to the body when swimming can be seen by the opposite sex. There are also male visitors who like to swim in the women's pool when the pool supervisor is not paying attention, and vice versa.
