Abstract

The Project Based Learning (PjBL) model increases various students' mathematical communication. The purpose of this study was to determine the PjBL model in improving various mathematical communication skills. Mathematical communication is one of the abilities that must be owned by every student with various interests in learning mathematics. Mathematical communication is the ability to communicate related to each class including writing activities, interpreting, evaluating ideas, and providing mathematical information, conveying messages containing mathematical material. Data collection techniques were obtained from literature review studies on library research or descriptive document studies (Library Research) from various types of documents that support the research theme, namely laws, books, journals and articles. Data analysis techniques consist of content analysis methods, which focus on the positive content and characteristics of a media. research shows that PjBL forms an innovative learning model in a learning and is student-centered using projects as a learning medium so as to improve students' communication skills, especially when communicating so that students can carry out activities actively in solving various problems to produce products that have value. However, PjBL can be responsible for having tolerance for each individual because it is mandatory for school and has high self-confidence, but has limitations with elementary school students as learning materials that influence PjBL and obtain technology assistance on computers for learning materials with different classes .

Abstract

The learning of mathematics in flat shapes (Circuits and Areas of Squares and Rectangle) in Elementary Schools is learning that builds and develops logical, rational, systematic and critical thinking skills. Through the concept of flat shapes, students can build meaning from the messages generated in communication in learning activities, such as spoken, written, and (graphic) forms. However, learning mathematics is very difficult for elementary school students to understand, this is due to the abstract concept of mathematics. Based on the research data, it was found that the same problems were found in class IV students at SDN Aren Jaya 1 Bekasi, namely that students had difficulty understanding the material around and area of squares and rectangles. This study aims to provide interactive multimedia for learning mathematics that can help students understand the Perimeter and Area of Squares and Rectangle materials. This study uses the ADDIE research method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). The developed media can be declared feasible and valid based on the results of the average score of the language validator who gets a score of 80%, the media validator 81%, and the material validator 80.84%. The results of students' understanding of the material Circumference and Area of Squares and Rectangle have increased with an average value of 55.9 to 82.5.

Abstract

Berpikir kritis ialah salah satu bagian dari hasil yang didapatkan oleh peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran pada tahapan aspek kognitifnya. Pengunaan model pembelajaran untuk mempengaruhi tingkat berpikir kritis peserta didik harus yang efektif dan menaraik. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini untuk melihat pengaruh pengunaan GBL terhadap berpikir kritis siswa-siswi di mata pelajaran IPA materi Gaya di SDN 060811. Jenis penentian yang dipakai adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis Eksperimen dan bentuk Quasi Eksperimental Design. Instrument yang dipakai dipenelitian ini berbentuk tes uraian. Pada penelitian ini melakukan perlakukan yang berbeda diantara kelas ekperimen dengan kelas kontol. Subyeknya yaitu kelas IVA dan IVB SDN 060811. Masing-masing kelas kontrol dan eksperimen berjumlah 35 orang dan akan sama-sama melawati soal pretest dan postest. Penelitian ini memakai analisis data uji t, dengan hasil terdapat pengaruh positif terhadap perlakuan pada model pembelajaran Game Based Learning.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui penerapan program pojok baca di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Sawahlega, mulai dari pelaksanaan, faktor pendukung dan penghambat, dampak serta evaluasinya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa di SDN Sawahlega. Implementasi program pojok baca di SDN Sawahlega melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu tahap sosialisasi, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi. Berdasarkan kegiatan tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa pelaksanaan pojok baca dilakukan 15 menit sebelum memulai pelajaran, para siswa diminta untuk melakukan kegiatan literasi yakni membaca buku dan menceritakan kembali buku yang sudah dibacanya. Jenis buku yang dibaca adalah buku fiksi maupun non fiksi yang terdapat di pojok baca. Selain itu, siswa juga banyak memanfaatkan pojok baca di waktu-waktu tertentu seperti saat jam istirahat ataupun setelah selesai pelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dengan adanya pojok baca di setiap kelas, siswa memiliki kebiasaan membaca buku juga terampil dalam berbicara dan menceritakan kembali isi bacaan buku yang sudah dibaca. Penerapan pojok baca menjadi salah satu solusi dalam menumbuhkan minat baca siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of a project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students at SD Advent Merauke. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were students and teachers at SD Advent. This research was carried out in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 school year. Based on interviews and observations, data was obtained that students were actively involved and very enthusiastic in the Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile project from the beginning to the end of the P5 project activities. Students are very active in participating in P5 project activities on the topic of MANTING. The principal and teacher conveyed the obstacles encountered in the P5 project with the MANTING topic, namely weather-related obstacles. When the rains come, all the land that has been planted with mustard plants becomes flooded and the plants died. During the MANTING project, there was a flood at the end, after the organic mustard greens had been harvested. But in fact, there are still mustard plants left that cannot be harvested because they are submerged in water. The solution taken by the school to overcome this problem is that the school plans to raise the planting area with higher beds so that when the rainy season comes, the plants will still grow well. At the end of the P5 project, all students are involved in harvesting and marketing the produce. mustard greens that have been planted. The students were very enthusiastic about participating in the mustard harvesting activity. The students looked shrewd in tying the harvested mustard greens. This is a new view for teachers and principals regarding students' abilities outside the intracurricular field.

Abstract

The research title is An Analysis of Metaphor In Ratatouille’s Movie: Semantic Approach. Semantics is generally designed as the study of meaning in semantics there is a figurative language that compares and exaggrate the word and the metaphor is part of figurative language. Metaphor is an understanding and experience of one kind of thing in terms of another, the conceptual metaphor classified as three part namely: structural metaphor, orientational metaphor, and ontological metaphor. The object of this research is Ratatouille’s movie. the objective of this research is describe type of metaphor (1) to know what the dominant metaphor in this movie (2) To find the meaning of metaphor, The study of this research is using descriptive qualitative with the researcher is the instrument itself. The data of this research is the utterance which contains metaphor. Then the writer classified and study find the meaning by using source and target domain. The result of this research shows that this research have three types of metaphor there are 8 structural metaphors, 16 orientational metaphors, and 23 ontological metaphors. In conclusion, the dominant metaphor is ontological metaphor because the character of this movie usually compares an object with a human motivation, activities, and characteristic, they also use a human as a container.

Abstract

Kepmendiknas No. 044/U/2002, the government provides a forum for the community to participate and channel their aspirations in supporting education through the Board of Education at the district level and the School Committee in each education unit or group of education units (schools). With the existence of the Education Council and school committee, the level of concern and participation of the community in helping the government realize quality education is expected to be better and increase to realize community-based education. Implementation of Kepmendiknas No. 044 / U / 2002 there are several problems that need to be resolved immediately, including: (1) Not all communities and education stakeholders in the regions understand Kepmendiknas No. 044 / U / 2002 concerning Education Councils and School Committees; (2) Not all districts and schools have implemented Kepmendiknas No. 044/U/2002 as appropriate; (3) There are still many people who do not understand the School Committee, and consider the School Committee to be the same as the Education Organizing Auxiliary Board (BP3); and (4) The impact of the Board of Education and the School Committee has not had much effect on improving the quality of educational services and learning outcomes. With the decentralization model of education, schools as educational units that have been a very passively empowered need to be encouraged to become strong, independent, professional institutions in providing optimal services to students and the community. This is the core of school-based management (SBM) which is applied especially in primary and secondary education in the country. One of the most important elements in this management is the role of society represented through boards of education and school committees.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability to understand the concept of fractions in third grade students in learning mathematics in elementary schools. The objectives of this study are (1) to find out the use of fractional block propsfor class III students (2) to determine the improvement of the ability to understand fractions concepts using fractional block propsin class III students. This research method is a quantitative research method with a research design using a pre experimental design (non design) in the form of one group pretest-posttest. This research was conducted at SDN Jati 03, Baleendah District, Bandung Regency, with a population of 62 students and a sample of 35 students. Data collection techniques used observation and tests in the implementation of learning the ability to understand the concept of fractions by using fractional block props. The results showed that (1) the use of fractional block propsin class III can help students be more active in learning and can help the ability to understand fractions concepts so that the ability to understand fractions concepts increases after being given treatment with the use of fractional block props. (2) There is an increase in the ability to understand the concept of fractions in third grade elementary school students after the use of fractional block props can be seen from the results of the average pre-test and post-test in the experimental class, namely 65.74 and 84.80

Abstract

Student learning outcomes are one of the spearheads of an education. If the learning outcomes of students are good, then an educational process will succeed. But the reality seen lately is the decline in student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to find out what causes the learning outcomes of students to decrease and whether there is a connection between prayers performed by students can improve student learning outcomes. This research departs from Allah's words contained in the Koran that if you want to be smart and successful, then carry out the rules and commands of Allah SWT, one of which is by praying. Prayer can prevent evil and evil deeds, and prayer can make a person rich and successful. And it does not rule out the possibility of being able to make someone smart so that the learning outcomes are good. This research method is a survey and field study with data collection techniques is by observation and questionnaire. The results obtained are that there is a very significant relationship between students' prayer observance and student learning outcomes. Students who are religious and disciplined in praying five times a day have a strong influence on their learning outcomes. Not only learning outcomes, the morals of these students also have good morals when compared to students who do not or rarely pray.

Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic had affected all segments of life, including education. Education which so far carried out face-to face has now been implemented virtually. The online learning model raises various problems, such as decreased motivation and students’ learning outcomes.Those problem can be solved by using distance learning technology, such as Google Meet. This study aims at determining the difference in motivation and students’ learning outcomes as well as testing the effectiveness of learning in the experimental class compared to the control one. This study was carried out with a quasi-experiment. The experiment class uses Google Meet, while the other uses WhatsApp. The population of this study was all students of Cepokjajar 2 Elementary School with a total of 294 students, while the sample was class 5A and 5B with 29 students on each other. The data analyzed by the Independent T-test to find the difference beetwen the experimental class and the control one, and the N-gain Score to determine the effectiveness of each class in developing students’ motivation and learning outcomes. The Independent T-test result shows that: 1) there are differences in learning motivation between the experimental and control class with the significance value of 0.009 < 0.05; 2) there are differences in learning outcomes between the experimental and control class with the significance value of 0.005 < 0.05; 3) learning in experimental class is more effective in increasing students’ motivation and learning outcomes than in control one.
