Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between parenting style and students' disciplinary character in the fifth grade of SDN 007 Pulau Birandang. The research used a quantitative correlational method with a total sampling technique involving 29 students. Data were collected using questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The research instrument was tested for validity and reliability, and the results indicated that all items were valid and reliable. The data were analyzed using simple regression. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between parenting style and students’ disciplinary character, with a t-value of 3.741 greater than the t-table value of 1.699, and a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05. The study concludes that better parenting style contributes to improved student discipline. Democratic parenting style was found to be the most influential in forming student discipline in SDN 007 Pulau Birandang.

Abstract

Kendala yang masih sering dijumpai siswa dalam ketidak tercapainya kriteria ketuntasan minimun (KKM) adalah kurangnya kreatifitaas guru dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran, ada beberapa model pembelajaran yang digunakan para ahli agar para siswa mampu memliki hasil belajar yang memuaskan. Salah satunya adalah model pembelajaran Inkuiri, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh hasil belajar IPAS dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Inkuiri pada siswa kelas IV di UPT SDN 74 Bontorita II. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen dengan tipe quasi eksperimen. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelompok yaitu, kelompok eksperimen (Kelas IV) yang berjumlah 22 siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri, Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes essay sebagai intrument utama. Teknik anasilis data menggunakan t-test.

Abstract

The demands of the industrial revolution 5.0 era require education to transform its focus from knowledge transfer to the formation of 21st Century Skills (4C: Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, and Communication)1. The existing facts in learning practices, especially Biology learning, are still dominated by teacher-centered methods which result in a lack of mastery of concepts by students. This article aims to develop a theoretical framework and syntax of the KICI learning strategy (Collaborative, Interactive, Digitally Intelligent, Integrative) as a holistic solution. The writing of this qualitative conceptual development article uses an in-depth literature study to synthesize the principles of Social Constructivism, Behavioristic Repetition, and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). The result is the formulation of a KICI strategy consisting of four core pillars and six structured learning stages. Theoretically, the KICI strategy has significant potential in improving 21st Century Skills. The Collaborative pillar fosters teamwork and interpersonal communication. Digitally Intelligent facilitates creativity and multimodal communication through the use of interactive media and digital technology. Integrative encourages critical thinking and social responsibility by linking Biology to SDGs issues. Meanwhile, the Interactive pillar, which includes the Repetition & Feedback (RU) stage, serves to deepen mastery of Biology concepts through reflective practice. The KICI strategy offers novelty through a cohesive synthesis of these four pillars in a single, systematic syntax, bridging the Biology curriculum with global skill demands.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The low level of numeracy literacy skills among elementary school students, particularly in the topic of equivalent fractions, remains an issue that affects the achievement of mathematics competencies. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of puzzle media in Problem-Based Learning (PBL) to improve numeracy literacy skills among fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 27 Anak Air. The research employed a quantitative approach using a One-Group Pretest–Posttest design. The instruments used included a numeracy literacy test, student activity observation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The results showed a significant improvement in numeracy literacy skills, indicated by an increase in the average score from the initial to the final condition, as well as a gain score of 0.62, which falls into the medium–high category. Student activity during learning was categorized as good, with an average of 87%, as reflected in increased participation in discussions, puzzle assembly, and problem-solving. In addition, students’ responses to the use of puzzle media were highly positive, with 91% stating that the learning became more engaging and easier to understand. These findings indicate that puzzle media in PBL is effective as an alternative strategy for improving numeracy literacy in the topic of equivalent fractions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pendidikan lintas budaya dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran multikultural peserta didik SMP dari perspektif Pendidikan Hukum dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn). Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis library research, penelitian ini menelaah berbagai literatur ilmiah, jurnal terakreditasi, serta dokumen kebijakan pendidikan yang relevan. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik dokumentasi dan dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis tematik model Miles & Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga tema utama: (1) integrasi nilai multikultural dalam pembelajaran PPKn, (2) dialog lintas budaya sebagai sarana internalisasi nilai, dan (3) budaya sekolah inklusif serta kepemimpinan multikultural sebagai fondasi penguatan karakter kebangsaan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pendidikan lintas budaya berkontribusi terhadap pembentukan kesadaran hukum dan sosial peserta didik, sekaligus memperluas fungsi PPKn sebagai instrumen pendidikan karakter demokratis. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi strategi lintas budaya dalam kurikulum dan kebijakan pendidikan nasional.

Abstract

Islamic Education (PAI) research increasingly faces complex challenges related to students’ religious attitudes, learning motivation, and diverse socio-religious backgrounds. These issues indicate that PAI phenomena are multidimensional and cannot be adequately understood using a single research approach. This study aims to analyze how mixed methods can be integrated effectively within PAI research in terms of conceptual foundations, research designs, and methodological applications. Using a library research approach, this study collected, classified, and analyzed relevant literature from books, journal articles, and previous studies that implemented mixed methods in Islamic education. The findings show that mixed methods offer comprehensive and adaptive advantages by combining quantitative data, which reveal general patterns of religious understanding and learning outcomes, with qualitative data, which provide deeper insights into students’ spiritual experiences, motivations, and contextual factors affecting their religious behavior. Three dominant designs were identified as most relevant for PAI research: convergent parallel, explanatory sequential, and exploratory sequential. Each design contributes uniquely to strengthening the validity, depth, and interpretive power of research findings. Overall, mixed methods serve as a methodological necessity for studying complex phenomena in Islamic education, enabling holistic, credible, and contextually grounded conclusions. Abstract

Pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) di sekolah dasar memiliki peran fundamental dalam membentuk karakter, nilai moral, dan kemampuan sosial peserta didik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 2 Mangunsari dan bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran PKn pada siswa kelas 4, mengidentifikasi kendala yang muncul selama proses pembelajaran, serta memberikan rekomendasi pengembangan melalui analisis literatur ilmiah yang relevan. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa analisis video pembelajaran dan wawancara mendalam bersama guru kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran PKn di SD Negeri 2 Mangunsari telah menerapkan metode ceramah interaktif, diskusi, tanya jawab, serta penggunaan media proyektor. Namun, beberapa kendala masih ditemukan, seperti keaktifan siswa yang tidak merata, perbedaan kemampuan belajar, keterbatasan media digital interaktif, pengelolaan waktu yang belum optimal, dan kompleksitas penerapan asesmen autentik. Analisis literatur menunjukkan bahwa media digital inovatif, pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, dan penyederhanaan asesmen autentik dapat menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran PKn. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pembelajaran PKn perlu dirancang lebih adaptif, interaktif, dan didukung media pembelajaran yang variatif agar mampu memenuhi kebutuhan peserta didik secara optimal.

Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to improve students’ mastery of equivalent fractions and their learning engagement through the implementation of Animaker as a digital animation-based learning media. The study was conducted in two cycles involving 24 fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 35 Matobe. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observation sheets, and documentation. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ understanding of equivalent fractions, supported by clear visualizations of fraction comparison, fraction transformation, and part-whole relationships provided through Animaker animations. Students became more active in discussions, asked more questions, and showed higher enthusiasm during the learning process. The average score increased from the initial low category to a higher mastery level, accompanied by an increase in classical completeness reaching the expected criteria. The animated media also enhanced classroom interaction, making abstract mathematical concepts more concrete and accessible for students. Overall, the implementation of Animaker proved effective in strengthening conceptual understanding and boosting students’ learning engagement in mathematics. This research contributes to the development of innovative media utilization in elementary mathematics learning and provides practical implications for teachers in designing more interactive, visual, and meaningful learning experiences.

Abstract

Sitti Hajrah, 2025. Using Short Stories to Improve Students' Reading Comprehension at Senior High School (Supervised by Muliaty Ibrahim and Hasnani). This study aims to determine the effect of using short stories on the reading comprehension of tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 3 Bantaeng in the 2024/2025 academic year: The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of two classes: class X6 as the experimental group and class X2 as the control group, selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments included tests and documentation in the form of pre-tests and post-tests, as well as supporting documentation such as photographs. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality and homogeneity tests, and a n independent sample t-test. The results showed that the average pre-test score of the experimental group was 63.73, which increased to 85.07 in the post-test. In the control group, the average score rose from 67.37 to 76.73. The t-test analysis yielded a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Hı) was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of short stories significantly improves students' reading comprehension.

Abstract

Transformational leadership of madrasah principals plays a strategic role in improving the performance of Raudhatul Athfal (RA) teachers, particularly in addressing the continuously evolving challenges of early childhood education. This article aims to conceptually examine how the transformational leadership of madrasah principals contributes to the improvement of RA teachers’ performance within the context of Raudhatul Athfal education. The method employed in this study is library research, which involves reviewing various literature sources such as books, scholarly articles, and academic journals relevant to transformational leadership, madrasah management, and teacher performance. The findings indicate that transformational leadership, characterized by an inspirational vision, motivation, role modeling, and teacher empowerment, is able to enhance teachers’ professionalism, work commitment, and the quality of learning in RA. Therefore, transformational leadership of madrasah principals is an important factor in achieving sustainable improvement in the quality of RA education, particularly within the framework of Islamic education at the early childhood education level.
