Abstract

This research stems from several challenges observed among lower-grade primary school students, including: limited understanding of basic mathematical concepts; difficulty translating word problems into mathematical expressions; inability to complete mathematical sentences; lack of care in calculations; and errors in writing mathematical symbols. The aim of this research is to describe students’ conceptual understanding in solving word problems on measurement, based on Bloom’s (1956) indicators: translation, interpretation, and extrapolation. This study uses a qualitative phenomenology method with eight word problems as research instruments. The subjects of this study were 17 students from SD Negeri 2 Kepatihan. Data collection was conducted through tests, interviews, and documentation. The results show that 9 out of 17 students scored between 39–51, with an overall average score of only 59.7. This indicates that students’ conceptual understanding of mathematics is still low. The findings suggest the need for efforts to improve students’ conceptual understanding and for teachers to innovate in their teaching strategies.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the insufficient science literacy skills of fifth-grade students at SDN Talaga Wetan III and SDN Banjaran. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on students' science literacy skills. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent pre-test and post-test control group design. This study was conducted in fifth grade elementary school during the 2025/2026 academic year with 25 students in the experimental class and 25 students in the control class as research subjects. The experimental class was given the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, while the control class was given the Direct Instruction model. Both groups were given pre-tests and post-tests using the same test instruments. The pre-test and post-test data were analyzed using SPSS Version 27. The results of the data analysis showed that the science literacy skills of the experimental class improved more significantly than those of the control class, which remained low. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a difference and influence of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in the fifth grade of SDN Talaga Wetan III and SDN Banjaran. The implication for students is that the PBL learning model effectively enhances their science literacy skills during the learning process.

Abstract

Permasalahan pada penelitian ini ialah minimnya kegiatan, keterampilan bekerja sama murid paamuatan IPAS. Upaya untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah dengan memakai model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning, Student Teams Achievement Divisions, Make a Match & Media Interaktif.. Tujuan studi ini ialah untuk menjelaskan aktivitas guru, murid, hasil belajar siswa, serta menganalisis keterampilan bekerja sama murid. Studi ini ialah studi kualitatif dengan menggunakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini ialah murid kelas III SDN Murung Raya 3 Banjarmasin tahun pelajaran 2024/2025 dengan jumlah murid sebanyak 26 orang. Hasil studi memperlihatkan bahwa aktivitas guru mengalami peningkatan dari skor 16 hingga 28. Aktivitas murid mengalami peningkatan dari 73% hingga 96%. Keterampilan bekerja sama mengalami peningkatan dari 23% hingga 96%. Hal ini bepengarukepada hasil belajar murid yang terjadi kenaikan dari 50% hingga 96%. Berlandaskan hasil studi ini, bisa disimpulkan bahwasanya pemakaian model Problem Based Learning, Student Teams Achievement Divisions, Make a Match serta Media Interaktif. bisameningkatkan aktivitas guru, aktivitas murid, keterampilan bekerja sama, serta hasil belajar murid.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisisimplementasi program reward dan punishment dalampembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di tingkat sekolah menengah pertama. Strategi ini dipandang sebagai pendekatan pedagogis untukmembentuk karakter religius peserta didik melaluisistem penguatan perilaku positif dan pengendalianperilaku negatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakanadalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa pemberian reward dalam bentukpujian, hadiah, dan nilai tambah mendorong motivasibelajar siswa, sedangkan punishment yang bersifatedukatif, seperti teguran dan pengurangan poin sikap, membantu membentuk kedisiplinan. Program ini terbukti efektif jika diterapkan secara konsisten dan disertai keteladanan guru. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar guru PAI merancangreward-punishment yang kontekstual dan berbasisnilai-nilai Islam.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the Maudu’ Lompoa celebration process and explore the da’wah messages embedded within it. Conducted in Cikoang Village, Mangarabombang District, Takalar Regency, this research adopts a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, utilizing interviews, observation, and documentation for data collection, and applying data reduction, presentation, and conclusion techniques for analysis. The findings reveal that the Maudu’ Lompoa tradition carries significant da’wah messages. It emphasizes the reinforcement of tawhid and includes the recitation of a’ratek/azzikkiri’ during the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday commemoration as a reflection of love and reverence toward the Prophet. The celebration reminds the community of the Prophet’s mission, including tawhid, rahmatan lil ‘alamin, and Islamic moral teachings. It also preserves local Islamic traditions by incorporating da’wah into cultural forms such as pamanca’ (martial arts), pakarena decorative elements, and julung-julung boats, symbolizing Islamic propagation blended with local identity—an example of Islamic inculturation that retains its spiritual essence. The tradition fosters strong solidarity and brotherhood among local residents and diaspora, reinforcing ukhuwah Islamiyah and ukhuwah wathaniyah, while also enhancing silaturahmi as a form of da’wah bil hal. Furthermore, Maudu’ Lompoa functions as an educational medium for youth through religious events, competitions, and Maulid recitations that promote the internalization of Islamic values. It also symbolizes the continuity of Islam in local history, with Cikoang recognized as a historical center for Islamic propagation by Sayyid Jalaluddin Al-Aidid, whose teachings are preserved through generations. Thus, Maudu’ Lompoa serves as a comprehensive platform for cultural, spiritual, and educational da’wah.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to enhance students’ critical thinking skills in the IPAS subject through the implementation of the PBL, NHT, and Talking Stick models, along with the use of EduNusa media. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, conducted over four meetings following the steps of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 12 fourth-grade students at SD Kristen Banjarmasin during the 2024/2025 academic year. The findings of the study indicate significant improvements across all aspects. Teacher activity increased from a score of 18 to 24. Student activity rose from 58% to 92%. Students’ critical thinking skills also showed substantial growth, increasing from 50% to 92%. Likewise, student learning outcomes improved from 50% to 92%. The results indicate that the implemented instructional strategies had a positive influence on student engagement, critical thinking abilities, and academic achievement. It can be concluded that the integrated use of PBL, NHT, and Talking Stick models, supported by EduNusa media, is effective in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills and learning outcomes in the IPAS subject.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of learning based on the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka), the difficulties faced by teachers, the efforts to overcome these challenges, and the pattern of teacher difficulties in the Slamet Riyadi Cluster, Rowosari District. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The findings reveal that teachers face several obstacles, including limited references, suboptimal time management, inadequate facilities, and lack of readiness. Efforts made by teachers include attending training through teacher working groups (KKG), utilizing surrounding resources, sharing the use of teaching equipment, and enhancing understanding through professional development activities. The study recommends that teachers improve their competencies through self-directed learning and training, and that schools provide stronger support in terms of infrastructure and resources.

Abstract

Reverse Culture Shock adalah sebuah fenomena yang dialami individu ketika kembali ke budaya setelah menjalani pengalaman hidup di budaya lain. Fenomena tersebut seringkali mendatangkan tantangan emosional, sosial, dan adaptasi. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman Reverse Culture Shock pada mahasiswa yang mengikuti program pertukaran pelajar, khususnya melalui program IISMA (Indonesian Internaltional Student Mobility Award). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis, empat partisipan dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling dan diwawancarai secara semi-terstruktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pengalaman reverse culture shock bersifat individual dan dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor seperti adaptasi personal, dukungan sosial, kompetensi budaya, dan pengalaman akademik. Sebagian besar partisipan tidak mengalami kesulitan signifikan setelah kembali ke Indonesia. Dukungan sosial, baik dari keluarga maupun teman, memainkan peran penting dalam proses readaptasi. Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya perhatian terhadap fase pasca-program pertukaran agar mahasiswa dapat mengelola perubahan dengan baik serta memaksimalkan manfaat jangka panjang dari pengalaman yang didapatkan selama program pertukaran berlangsung.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that students' interest in reading narrative texts is still relatively low. Low here means not having one's own awareness in reading books, low attention in reading books both at school and at home, not showing pleasure in reading books and low frequency of reading books. In this context, there needs to be greater attention from all parties, including parents, to increase students' interest in reading. This study aims to analyze the interest in reading narrative texts in fourth-grade students at Mojoagung 01 Elementary School, Pati Regency and to determine the supporting factors and inhibiting factors that influence the interest in reading narrative texts in fourth-grade students at Mojoagung 01 Elementary School, Pati Regency. This research uses a qualitative research type with a descriptive analysis approach. The data sources in this study were the fourth-grade teachers, the principal, and fourth-grade students of SDN Mojoagung 01, Pati Regency. The data collection techniques used in this study were interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis method in this study consists of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Based on the research results and discussions that have been described, it can be concluded that 7 fourth- grade students (43.75%) showed a high interest in reading narrative texts. 8 students (50%) were classified as having sufficient interest in reading. 1 student (6.25%) was included in the category of not interested in reading. Therefore, students showed an interest in reading narrative texts in the "sufficient" to "good" category.

Abstract

Perkembangan pesat teknologi digital telah membawa angin perubahan dalam dunia pendidikan, termasuk Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Kajian literatur ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis berbagai inovasi media pembelajaran PAI di era digital beserta dampak, tantangan, dan peluang yang menyertainya. Melalui tinjauan sistematis terhadap berbagai sumber literatur terkini, penelitian ini mengungkap transformasi signifikan dari metode konvensional menuju pendekatan digital yang lebih interaktif dan menarik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa inovasi media digital seperti aplikasi pembelajaran, video animasi, gamifikasi, dan teknologi imersif telah memberikan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran PAI. Namun demikian, implementasinya masih dihadapkan pada berbagai tantangan yang memerlukan solusi komprehensif.
