Abstract

The study aims to answer questions: 1) how to apply the montessori method to teachers to apply it to first - grade students in the kadudampit state school; 2) how could calistung 1 - year students in the country's sd be bdampit in KBM (teaching learning activities) before using the montessori method; 3) how could calistung 1 student in the country's kadudampit be capable after using the montessori method; 4) there is a significant difference between calistung 1b students' ability in experiment class before and after using the montessori method and a control class that does not use the montessori method. The method used in this study is pseudo experiments. Instruments used in this research data collection include interviews, observations, and class action research (PTK). The samples taken in this study are 1b students as an experimental class and 1a as a control class. Calistung students' performance on KBM before being fully operational would be minimal. And students' abilities in calistung development in the appeal classes have been increased. Thus there is a significant difference between students' ability to speak in the development of the calistung in the experimentation class and the control class. The results of this study were reinforced based on the results of post-test done by offering a reflection of learning. The study concludes that the ability of calistung students in the 1b primary school of the cadudampit who had conducted experiments increased significantly and differentiated after being treated by the montessori methods. Lower-class teachers, especially teachers in first class can use the montessori method as an alternative to the method used on KBM implementation to improve calistung students' capabilities and should be conducted advanced studies of the montessori method in other learning to prove the effectiveness of the montessori method that is applied to other learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) learning model on students’ learning outcomes in Indonesian speaking skills. The background of this research stems from the low learning outcomes of class VA students at SD Inpres Minasaupa 1, particularly in speaking skills. The method used is an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population and sample consisted of all 21 students of class VA. Data collection techniques involved oral tests to assess speaking skills, including pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and fluency. The Inside Outside Circle model is part of a cooperative learning approach that encourages students to share information with different partners in a structured rotation. This model emphasizes active student participation, especially in verbal communication activities. The results showed a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes after implementing the IOC model. The average pretest score was 57.86, while the posttest score increased to 70.71. A paired sample t-test yielded a significance value of < 0.001, indicating a statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. Therefore, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. In conclusion, the use of the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) learning model has a positive and significant effect on improving students' speaking skills in Indonesian language learning. This research suggests that teachers can apply the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) model as an effective alternative method to enhance learning outcomes, especially speaking skills, at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Child-Friendly Schools (SRAs) are educational concepts that aim to create a safe, comfortable, and inclusive learning environment, with a focus on children's physical, emotional, social, and psychological well-being. The implementation of SRA in Indonesia refers to the regulations in the Child Protection Law and the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture. Its main objective is to provide access to education for all children, including vulnerable groups, free from violence and discrimination. However, the implementation of SRA in Indonesia is still faced with obstacles such as limited teacher training and adequate facilities, especially in rural areas. In addition, gender mainstreaming and women-friendly education are important factors to achieve gender equality in education, with a focus on eliminating gender-based discrimination and women's empowerment. In the context of disability, inclusive education also faces major challenges, although supportive regulations already exist. There are still obstacles related to the lack of disability-friendly facilities and teacher training. Achieving optimal inclusive education requires collaboration between the government, schools, communities, and families. Social awareness and improved facilities and teacher training are the keys to the successful implementation of SRA and inclusive education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning medium in the form of a puppet stage as a storytelling tool for early childhood in kindergarten. Storytelling is an effective learning method for stimulating children's language development, imagination, and social and emotional values. However, the lack of engaging and interactive media often becomes an obstacle in applying this method in early childhood education settings. This research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Borg & Gall development model, adapted up to the limited product trial phase. The results of the study indicate that the developed puppet stage is capable of increasing children's interest and participation in storytelling activities. Evaluations from teachers and children show that this medium is engaging, easy to use, and effective in supporting the achievement of learning objectives. Thus, the puppet stage medium can be considered an innovative alternative for storytelling activities in kindergarten.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using visual media in Pancasila Education learning on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 166 Inpres Bontorita. Visual media, such as images and infographics, were used as tools to enhance students’ understanding of Pancasila values. This study employed a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest- posttest design, involving 16 students selected through total sampling. A written test was administered before and after the treatment to measure differences in learning outcomes. The results showed that the average pretest score was 53.75, which increased to 84.375 in the posttest. Inferential analysis using a t-test revealed a t-value of 9.141 > t-table value of 1.753 at a 0.05 significance level, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. These findings support the notion that visual media can enhance learning effectiveness, clarify abstract concepts, and foster student motivation and active participation. Visual media also help students connect Pancasila values to real-life contexts, making the learning experience more meaningful. The study recommends the use of visual media as a relevant approach in teaching national values, particularly at the elementary school level.
