Abstract

Learning in this digital era faces new challenges, particularly in addressing the characteristics of Generation Z, who grew up in a digital and visual environment. The gap between conventional methods and Gen Z's learning needs leads to low motivation, especially in subjects considered difficult. This article explores gamification as a strategy for developing adaptive teaching materials and analyzes its effectiveness in increasing learning motivation. Through a literature review based on ARCS and Self-Determination Theory (SDT), the integration of game elements into learning design, implementation challenges, and solutions are examined. The study results indicate that gamification can stimulate intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, encourage active learning, and create enjoyable learning experiences. However, its effectiveness depends on teacher readiness, technological skills, and appropriate instructional design. Gamification is therefore positioned as a relevant pedagogical strategy for shaping a dynamic learning ecosystem in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which e-comic flipbooks affect the learning outcomes of students in science at SDN 03 Sungai Raya in grade IV. This study uses a quasi-experimental and quantitative nature. Learning outcomes are the dependent variable (Y), while e-comic flipbook media is the independent variable (X). using students in grades IV A and IV B as the population. There are 29 students in each of grades IV A and IV B. The sampling technique used in this study is nonprobability sampling, a type of saturated sampling. Students in grade IV A are used as the experimental class, while grade IV B is used as the control class. Tests and observations are used for data collection. The average pretest score of the experimental group was 61.20 while the average posttest increased to 77.24. Meanwhile, in the control group, the average pretest was 62.93 and increased to 67.93 in the posttest. The results of the t-test calculation showed that a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.038 <0.05 was obtained, so it can be concluded that the Ha hypothesis is accepted and H0 is rejected, so that the use of e-comic flipbook media does not affect the learning outcomes of science on Indonesian diversity material for class IV SDN 03 Sungai Raya.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning activeness of fourth-grade students at SD Inpres 1 Tatura through the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model integrated with Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK). This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of three meetings. The subjects of this study were 26 students from diverse cultural backgrounds. The instruments used included observation sheets, project assessment rubrics, and learning achievement tests. The results showed an increase in students’ learning activeness from 42% in the pre-cycle, to 69% in the first cycle, and 85% in the second cycle. Thus, the implementation of PjBL integrated with CRT and TPACK proved effective in improving students’ learning activeness.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has brought significant changes in the patterns of social interaction, including among students. One of the most popular social media today is TikTok, which not only functions as entertainment but also as a means of communication, information, and learning. However, the high intensity of TikTok use can affect students' academic productivity, especially in terms of time management and completing college assignments. This study aims to determine the relationship between TikTok viewing duration and the productivity of college assignments of students in the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) FKIP University of Riau. The research method used is quantitative with a correlational approach. Data were collected through a Likert-scale-based questionnaire distributed to 48 PGSD students from the classes of 2023, 2024, and 2025. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the majority of respondents had a high intensity of TikTok use, with 60% of respondents in the score categories 4 and 5. The results of the Spearman correlation test showed a value of r = 0.523 with a significance of p < 0.001, which means there is a positive and significant relationship between TikTok viewing duration and student college assignment productivity. This study emphasizes the importance of time management and wise use of social media so that TikTok use can support, rather than hinder, students' academic productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of wayang suket media on the level of environmental awareness among fourth-grade students at MI Al-Huda Ploso Pacitan. Sampling was conducted using a questionnaire given to 10 fourth-grade students. The subjects of this study were 10 fourth-grade students. The results showed that the students' level of environmental awareness increased significantly, as evidenced by the results of expert validation of the material, which scored 93.75% across all aspects, meeting the “Valid” criterion, and expert validation of the media, which scored 91% across all aspects, also meeting the “Valid” criterion. The measurement of the suitability of the suket puppet media by teachers obtained a score of 100% for all aspects with a criterion of “Very Suitable”. Student responses to the attractiveness of the product showed maximum results with an average of 98.7% for all aspects with a criterion of “Very Attractive”. It can be concluded that the suket puppet media for teaching norms in life is very attractive to be applied in learning. The level of student awareness after the implementation of the suket puppet media material on norms in life showed an increase in each student with an average of 90%, which falls under the “High Increase” criterion.

Abstract

Learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) in Elementary School is an effort to provide knowledge and experience to students to help them see and understand social life and natural phenomena around them. However, in reality, various problems are still found that hinder the learning process. In this study, the aim is to identify what problems in the learning of IPAS exist in grade VI at SDN 95/I OLAK. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method through observations of the learning process of IPAS in Grade VI. The results of the study indicate that the problems found during the observation are such as the lack of teaching media and learning resources, low interest in learning in students, and challenges for teachers in managing the class and developing effective and interesting learning strategies.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji bagaimana pemanfaatan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar mempengaruhi dua luaran berikut pada siswa sekolah dasar kelas IV di Kabupaten Sikka: (1) penguasaan konsep dan (2) berpikir kreatif dalam pembelajaran tematik integratif. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuasi-eksperimental dengan rancangan kelompok kontrol pretes-postes. Seluruh siswa sekolah dasar kelas IV di Kabupaten Sikka diikutsertakan dalam populasi penelitian. Siswa di SDK Maumere I menerima perlakuan pembelajaran tradisional yang berfokus pada guru dan buku teks, sedangkan siswa kelas IV di SDK Maumere III menerima perlakuan melakukan pembelajaran yang dengan menggunakan lingkungan sekitar sebagai sumber materi. Hal ini dikarenakan sampel penelitian ini dipilih menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel acak langsung. Tes berpikir kreatif dan penguasaan konsep merupakan salah satu alat penelitian yang digunakan. Uji Box'M digunakan untuk menguji homogenitas data, dan metode Kolmogorov-Smirnov digunakan untuk menguji normalitas. Langkah awal dalam prosedur pengujian hipotesis yang digunakan untuk menilai data adalah uji MANOVA menggunakan rumus Hotteling T2 dan uji beda rerata univariat menggunakan uji-t sampel independen. Penggunaan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar memengaruhi penguasaan konsep dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, penggunaan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar memengaruhi berpikir kreatif dengan nilai signifikansi 0,037 < 0,05, dan penggunaan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar memengaruhi penguasaan konsep dan berpikir kreatif secara simultan dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, berdasarkan temuan penelitian tentang pembelajaran tematik siswa sekolah dasar kelas IV di Kabupaten Sikka.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas pengendalian internal pada siklus akuisisi dan pembayaran perusahaan. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi kasus, didukung oleh wawancara, observasi, serta dokumentasi laporan keuangan dan bukti transaksi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahap reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan mengacu pada kerangka pengendalian internal COSO. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa pengendalian internal dalam siklus akuisisi dan pembayaran sudah menerapkan praktik yang relatif memadai seperti otorisasi ganda, pencocokan dokumen sumber, dan audit internal tahunan. Namun demikian, terdapat kelemahan signifikan pada pemisahan fungsi (segregation of duties), keteraturan rekonsiliasi utang usaha, dan disiplin pengarsipan dokumen. Kondisi ini meningkatkan risiko salah saji material dan potensi fraud, meskipun perusahaan telah memiliki struktur organisasi serta kode etik yang mendukung budaya integritas. Analisis juga memperlihatkan bahwa kelemahan dalam penilaian risiko dan aktivitas pengendalian dapat menghambat efektivitas operasional dan menurunkan akurasi laporan keuangan. Implikasi teoritis dari penelitian ini memperkuat bukti bahwa penerapan lima komponen COSO mampu meningkatkan transparansi, akuntabilitas, dan keandalan sistem akuntansi. Dari sisi kebijakan, perusahaan perlu segera memperbaiki area segregasi tugas, memperketat rekonsiliasi berkala, dan meningkatkan sistem pengarsipan dokumen agar efektivitas pengendalian internal lebih optimal. Kebaruan dari penelitian ini terletak pada evaluasi mendalam terhadap desain pengendalian internal perusahaan dengan menekankan kelemahan praktis dalam pemisahan fungsi dan rekonsiliasi utang usaha, yang jarang dikaji secara spesifik pada studi sebelumnya.

Abstract

This observation discusses the challenges faced in teaching Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) to fourth-grade students at SDN 56/1 Desa Aro. The main focus of this observation is the limited availability of learning media such as projectors and practical teaching aids, as well as the less conducive classroom atmosphere caused by students’ low interest and attention. The purpose of this observation is to analyze the main factors of these problems and their impact on students’ motivation and learning outcomes. The methods used include observation, interviews with the homeroom teacher, and documentation during the learning process. The results show that the lack of learning media makes it difficult for teachers to deliver material in an engaging way, causing students to become easily bored. In addition, the unsupportive learning environment also affects students’ enthusiasm and concentration. Based on these observations, efforts are needed to improve learning facilities and develop innovative teaching strategies to create a more active and enjoyable classroom atmosphere.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which the use of learning media can improve the concentration and learning activeness of third-grade students at SDN 56/1 Desa Aro in the IPAS subject. The problem identified was that students often lost focus and were less active during lessons due to the teacher's one-way or lecture-based teaching method. The research was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the teacher and 16 students. The results showed that before using varied learning media, students often lost attention and were unfocused during the learning process. However, after the teacher began using media such as PowerPoint presentations with images, videos, and animation features, students became more focused, engaged, and enthusiastic about learning. This media helped students better understand concrete materials, such as.
