Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the challenges faced by the Republic of Indonesia Employees' Cooperative (KPRI) Sejahtera Glagah in implementing a performance appraisal system and to design improvement strategies to make the system more effective and objective. The method used was descriptive qualitative, using in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. The results indicate that the implementation of performance appraisals is still hampered by unclear indicators, a lack of assessor competence, minimal communication and feedback, and the influence of a family culture that hinders professionalism. These conditions reduce the effectiveness of evaluations and follow-up human resource development. The study recommends the development of measurable performance indicators, training for assessors, the implementation of digital systems, and strengthening a professional culture to sustainably increase organizational transparency and accountability.

Abstract

This community service activity at MI Nurul Ulum II Pamekasan aims to foster clean and healthy living habits through exercise activities. The main problems identified were the lack of regular sports activities and low student awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle. The program was implemented using demonstration and hands-on practice methods, where the service team introduced the benefits of exercise and guided students in performing the movements correctly. The results showed an improvement in students’ physical fitness, enthusiasm, and awareness of maintaining their health. This program proved effective in promoting clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) within the elementary school environment

Abstract

This study discusses innovation in the planning of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in boarding schools as a strategy to overcome the boredom of Generation Z students. The phenomenon of learning fatigue experienced by digital-native learners poses a particular challenge for teachers in creating engaging, interactive, and relevant learning experiences. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, this research highlights planning strategies that include technology integration, the use of collaborative methods, contextual approaches, and the implementation of project-based learning models. The findings show that innovative lesson planning not only enhances student engagement but also strengthens the understanding of spiritual, moral, and social values in everyday life. Thus, innovation in PAI lesson planning at boarding schools plays a vital role in shaping a learning atmosphere that is adaptive, enjoyable, and aligned with the characteristics of Generation Z.

Abstract

his study aims to determine the effectiveness of using animated video media in improving the speaking skills of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 77 Kanaeng, South Galesong District, Takalar Regency. The study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 23 fourth-grade students selected using random sampling. Data collection techniques included speaking skills tests (pre-test and post-test), observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis used descriptive and inferential statistics with a paired t-test. The results showed that the average pretest score was 59.3, a low score, while the posttest score increased to 83.6, a high score. The paired t-test yielded a t-count of -11.770 with a significance level of 0.000 <0.05, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. Furthermore, student activity and responses to the use of animated videos were also positive. Thus, it can be concluded that animated video media is effective in improving the speaking skills of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 77 Kanaeng, South Galesong District, Takalar Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of journalists in determining news quality and to identify the key factors influencing their performance at the online media outlet Herald Sulsel. The research adopts a qualitative approach using a phenomenological design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and documentation involving journalists and editorial leaders at Herald Sulsel. The findings indicate that journalists play a central role in the news production process, from selecting story angles and verifying information to structuring and writing news content. Several key determinants influence their role, including educational background, work experience, editorial policies, time constraints, and work environment. The study concludes that news quality in online media is not solely determined by editorial systems but is also heavily dependent on the journalists’ competence, professionalism, and integrity. These results emphasize the importance of continuous professional development and editorial quality control to maintain public trust in the media.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze high school students' interest in physics. The background of the study stems from the fact that physics is often perceived as a difficult, boring, and intimidating subject by some students, resulting in low motivation and participation in learning activities. The study used a qualitative descriptive method using literature review techniques and distributed questionnaires to students. The results showed that although most students had similar tendencies in choosing certain answers, there were still variations in views reflecting differences in experience and background. The data obtained showed that interest in physics is not uniform across all students, but is influenced by both internal factors (such as motivation, emotions, and intellectual ability) and external factors (such as family support, the environment, and learning methods). Therefore, increasing student interest in physics requires learning strategies that are more interactive, engaging, and relevant to everyday life.

Abstract

This research is an effort to implement programs directly related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the village level through the Independent Work Study Program (KKM) involving students. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with interviews and observations as data collection techniques. This research was conducted in Iloheluma village, Boliyohuto sub-district, Gorontalo district. The results of this study show that the implementation of SDGs in this village includes quality education, decent work and economic growth, digitization of MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises), and anti-bullying campaigns. Collaboration between KKM students, the village government, the local community, and schools is important in the application of knowledge and is the key to success in achieving sustainable goals at the local level.

Abstract

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have become a global framework adopted by the Indonesian government down to the village level. This community service research (PkM) aims to empower the community of Datahu Village, Anggrek District, North Gorontalo Regency through the Independent Work Study (KKM) program, in integrating local product innovation and strengthening health literacy as concrete efforts to achieve SDG 3: Good Health, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production. The focus of innovation is the utilization of agricultural waste, namely corn silk, into herbal tea products with economic value and to control non-communicable diseases. Meanwhile, strengthening health literacy includes education on monitoring the nutritional status of infants, introduction to Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA), education on drug logos, Clean and Healthy Living Behaviors (PHBS), and anti-bullying prevention. The PkM method used is Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) through three main stages: potential assessment, program implementation (training and education), and evaluation. The results of the activities show a significant increase in the community's knowledge and skills in processing corn silk tea, as well as an increase in awareness and practice of PHBS and infant nutrition monitoring.

Abstract

This study focuses on describing and analyzing guidance and counseling service strategies for children with special needs, particularly those with autism, at SKH Pandita, Serang City. The primary objective is to understand how these strategies are designed and implemented to meet the unique needs of each student. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including direct observation, in-depth interviews with guidance and counseling teachers, parents, and other support staff, and documentation of service activities. The research results show that the guidance and counseling service strategy at SKH Pandita is designed individually and tailored to the characteristics of autistic students. Collaboration between guidance and counseling teachers, parents, and medical personnel is key to its successful implementation. The strategies implemented include the use of an individual approach, visual media to strengthen understanding, and positive reinforcement to foster adaptive behavior. The counseling program also focuses on developing social skills, emotional management, and increasing student independence. Despite challenges such as limited expertise and supporting facilities, the implementation of planned strategies and school support have had a positive impact on the psychosocial development of autistic students. This research underscores the importance of a collaborative and adaptive approach in providing guidance and counseling services to children with special needs.

Abstract

The digital transformation in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution presents both opportunities and challenges for the education sector. On one hand, digital technology enhances the effectiveness, flexibility, and quality of learning; on the other hand, disparities persist in infrastructure, teachers’ digital literacy, and the risks associated with excessive technology use. This study aims to analyze the role, innovations, challenges, and implications of digital technology within the framework of Education 4.0 and 21st-century learning. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method through a literature review of 15 SINTA-accredited journal articles. The results indicate that digital learning media—such as e-learning platforms, interactive videos, simulations, and project-based learning—support the development of 21st-century competencies, including critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration. However, the study also identifies several challenges, such as limited facilities, unequal internet access, and teachers’ readiness to adopt digital tools. The findings emphasize that strategies for integrating technology must be systematically, innovatively, and sustainably designed to enable digital technology to act as a catalyst for improving education quality. Therefore, this study highlights the importance of resource preparedness, continuous teacher professional development, and adaptive educational policies to strengthen the implementation of Education 4.0 in Indonesia.
