Abstract

This article reports on the development of digital books as a medium to increase learning motivation of grade IV students. This research aims to develop digital books as innovative learning media to increase students' learning motivation. The background of this research is the low interest of students in learning caused by the use of conventional learning media that is less interesting. The subjects of the limited trial were elementary school students at the middle grade level. Data were collected through observation, questionnaire on learning motivation, and interview. The results showed that the digital book developed was feasible to use based on the assessment of material experts, media experts, and positive responses from students. In addition, there was an increase in learning motivation after students used the digital book in the learning process. Thus, the digital media book developed proved to be effective as an alternative learning media that can increase student learning motivation.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of problem-based learning (PBL) on student learning outcomes in vibration material in class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Watubangga. The method used in this research is a descriptive research method with a quantitative approach. The sample in this research was 17 students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 6 Watubangga. The instrument used in this research is a learning outcomes test for students during the learning process. Based on the results of the analysis of the increase in learning outcomes which refers to the initial test and final test data for all 17 students, it was found that the lowest increase in results was 0.4 and the highest was 1 with an average value of Normalized gain 〈g〉 of 0.75 which was in the high category. The research conclusion shows that the initial cognitive abilities of some students fail with the lowest achievement score of 20. After implementing the PBL learning model, it shows that PBL learning is effective in increasing students' understanding of the concept of vibration. Therefore, PBL is recommended as an innovative learning model that can be applied in science learning at the junior high school level.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in Social Studies (IPS) learning at the upper elementary school level. The background of this research stems from the fact that students’ learning outcomes in Social Studies remain relatively low, while their interest in the subject is also lacking. This condition is inseparable from the traditional teaching patterns that are still dominated by lecture-based methods. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach through a literature study by reviewing 30 articles, consisting of 10 classroom action research studies, 10 experimental studies, and 10 development studies. The analysis focused on the application of the seven main components of CTL, namely constructivism, inquiry, questioning, learning community, modelling, reflection, and authentic assessment. The results of the review revealed variations in the implementation of CTL among the analyzed articles. Out of the 30 articles, only six consistently applied all seven CTL components. Most articles emphasized the authentic assessment component and provided less discussion on aspects such as reflection. Nevertheless, the constructivism component remains the core element that supports the achievement of CTL objectives. The findings affirm that CTL is relevant for improving Social Studies learning as it promotes students’ active participation and connects learning materials with real-life experiences.

Abstract

Authentic assessment is an evaluation approach designed to measure students' competencies comprehensively and contextually in arts and culture learning. This study aims to examine the implementation of authentic assessment, measurement results, and its effectiveness in improving motivation and quality of arts and culture learning at the elementary and secondary school levels. The research method used a literature study with techniques of reviewing various sources such as books, journals, articles, and previous research results relevant to the field of arts and culture and the Merdeka Curriculum. Data analysis was carried out descriptively by organizing and presenting the results of the literature review systematically to obtain comprehensive findings regarding the process and results of authentic assessment. The results of the study show that authentic assessment not only assesses artistic works but also the creative process and reflective attitudes of students, thereby supporting more interactive and meaningful learning. In addition, authentic assessment has a positive impact on increasing learning motivation and the development of students' multidimensional competencies. This study recommends teacher training and the development of assessment instruments as strategies to strengthen the implementation of authentic assessment in the field of arts and culture. Thus, authentic assessment plays an important role in improving the quality of arts education through a holistic and sustainable approach.

Abstract

This study is based on poor learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences. This is evidenced by the fact that students in grade V have below average scores in this subject, with an average score of 61 and still below the learning objectives. The use of ineffective media to engage students is one component that influences low learning outcomes. With the help of the Food Chain Board media, this study aims to improve learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences on the food chain material. The data collection technique used in this study is quantitative, with a pretest, treatment, and posttest. The significant increase in students' average scores indicates the success of the learning. Student scores ranged from 61 before the exam to 83 after the exam. The results of the study indicate that the Food Chain Board learning material can improve student learning outcomes in grade V of UPTD SDN Kamal 2 in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the lack of parental social support that students get. Parents are still lacking in giving time to guide, motivate, and provide full learning support for students. This research is a quantitative research with a correlational design that aims to determine the correlation between parental social support and science learning achievement of fifth grade students. The results showed that there was a significant correlation between parental social support and science learning achievement for fifth grade students with tcount (3.3164) greater (˃) ttable value (1.67722), which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Based on the analysis of the data above, it can be concluded that parental social support has an impact on students' science learning achievement. So, the better the social support of parents, the better the student's science learning achievement. From these conclusions, the impact resulting from this study is known that good parental social support will increase students' science learning achievement.

Abstract

Chatime merupakan sebuah merek minuman teh susu yang cukup dikenal masyarakat, namun seiring berjalannya waktu Chatime mengalami penurunan brand awareness dikarenakan banyaknya kompetitor dengan produk serupa, dalam penelitian ini penulis ingin mencoba menganalisa bagaimana strategi yang digunakan oleh Chatime dalam meningkatkan brand awareness di masa sekarang. Penulis menggunakan metode SOSTAC dari Paul.R.Smith dalam melakukan penelitian ini, SOSTAC sendiri merupakan singkatan dari situation, objective, strategy, tactic, action dan control. Dalam penelitian penulis menemukan bahwa Chatime telah melakukan tahapan – tahapan SOSTAC dalam hal meningkatkan brand awareness di media sossial Tiktok pada setiap konten nya. Tujuan meningkatkan brand awareness menggunakan Tiktok dapat di katakan berhasil dikarenakan dari hasil penelitian setiap konten Tiktok @Chatimeindo mendapatkan jumlah tayang yang cukup bamyak, yang dapat menjadi tolak ukur bahwa pengguna Tiktok mengetahui informasi terbaru selalu dari Chatime.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between parental attention and the prosocial behavior of children aged 3–4 years in Kampung Lubuk Gambir, Kenagarian Kapelgam. The background of this research is based on the phenomenon that some children still show a lack of prosocial behaviors such as sharing, helping, and cooperating, which are suspected to be related to the level of parental attention in daily life. This research is a quantitative study using a descriptive-correlational design. The population consisted of 30 children and their parents, with a sample of 23 respondents selected through random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring two variables: parental attention (X) and children’s prosocial behavior (Y). The data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results showed that parental attention was in the high category, with most respondents choosing “often” (40.87%) and “always” (25.43%). Meanwhile, children’s prosocial behavior was in the moderate category, with most respondents choosing “sometimes observed” (48.12%) and “often observed” (36.81%). The inferential analysis obtained an r-value of 0.623 with t-count = 3.65 > t-table = 2.080 at a 5% significance level. This indicates a positive and significant relationship between parental attention and the prosocial behavior of children aged 3–4 years. In conclusion, the higher the parental attention given, the higher the level of prosocial behavior shown by the children. These findings support Bandura’s Social Learning Theory and Bowlby’s Attachment Theory, which emphasize that parental attention and emotional involvement play a crucial role in shaping children’s empathy and social concern from an early age.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine how to develop Q&A card media based on the Make a Match model and also to determine the effectiveness and feasibility of the card in increasing student activeness in learning Indonesian in grade IV of SDN 105328 Dagang Kerawan. This research is a development research (R&D) conducted using the ADDIE development procedure. To assess the feasibility and effectiveness of the developed media, a validation questionnaire was used which was given to the media expert validator and also the grade IV teacher of SDN 105328 Dagang Kerawan. From the results of the study, it was known that the feasibility score obtained from the media expert validator was 90 with the criteria of "Very Feasible". The feasibility score obtained from the teacher's response was 91.4 with the criteria of "Very Effective". From these results, it can be concluded that the Q&A card learning media based on the make-a-match model developed is "Very Appropriate" and "Very Effective" for use in the Indonesian language learning process for the topic "Origins" in fourth grade at Dagang Kerawan State Elementary School 105328.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically examine the effect of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model on the development of social and academic skills of elementary school students. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach with the PRISMA protocol to search, filter, and analyze relevant scientific literature from 2020 to 2025 through the Google Scholar, Researchgate, DOAJ, and SINTA databases. Of the 25 articles identified, six articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed further. The results of the study show that the Jigsaw model consistently encourages improvements in social skills such as collaboration, responsibility, communication, and empathy, as well as strengthening academic achievement through increased learning motivation, understanding of material, and active participation. This model provides group-based learning experiences and positive interdependence, which are effective in shaping social interactions and improving student learning achievement. Therefore, the Jigsaw learning model is considered an appropriate approach to be implemented in elementary schools in order to address the challenges of learning that require active student involvement and character building. This study provides recommendations for teachers to adapt the Jigsaw model as a contextual and applicable learning strategy.
