Abstract

Tafsir al Manár is one of the most popular exegesis of the Qur’anic studies. Al Manár magazine, which contains this interpretation periodically, namely in the carly 20th century, is widespread throughout the Islamic world and has an important role in enlightening thoughts and religious counseling. The influence of Muhammad Abduh, along with his student, Muhammad Rasyid Ridha, on the development of religious thought in the Islamic world, thus, cannot be underestimated. This article is a result of a study of the Qur’an exegesis method of the two prominent Muslim scholars, Muhammad Abduh and Muhammad Rashid Ridha. The study reveals two main conclusions, they are (1) personally both Muhammad Abduh and Muhammad Rashid Ridhå are independent who have extensive, well-known, and versatile insight and knowledge, have personality traits that are steady, honest, brave, passionate, intelligent, determined, and a number of other advantages, like other leading commentator; (2) Al-Mandr book, with its supcriorities, is well recognized as a monumental work that broadly contributes to the development of Islamic thought, particularly in modern exegesis field.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the relationship between reading comprehension habits and critical thinking skills of third-grade students at SD Negeri Sonosewu. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving third-grade students, classroom teachers, and the school principal. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model with source triangulation. The findings indicate that students’ reading comprehension habits are in a good category, as reflected in their ability to identify main ideas, understand word meanings, draw simple conclusions, and relate texts to daily experiences. Students’ critical thinking skills also show positive development, including analyzing information, explaining cause-and-effect relationships, making simple judgments, and predicting outcomes. A supportive school environment, adequate literacy facilities, interactive learning strategies, and collaboration between teachers and parents play an important role in fostering these abilities. In conclusion, reading comprehension habits are closely related to the development of critical thinking skills in elementary school students. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai gotong-royong dan kebersamaan yang terkandung dalam ritual Werung Lolon sebagai representasi kearifan lokal yang relevan dengan pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) di SD. Permasalahan yang diangkat berfokus pada rendahnya pemanfaatan nilai-nilai budaya lokal sebagai sumber belajar yang kontekstual dalam pendidikan dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur dengan menelaah berbagai sumber jurnal yang berkaitan dengan Werung Lolon, kearifan lokal, pemelajaran IPS, dan pendidkan karakter. Analisi data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif melalui proses reduksi, kategorisasi, dan interpretasi makna terhadap hasil temuan literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ritual Werung Lolon mengandung nilai gotong-royong, musyawarah, solidaritas sosial, dan tanggung jawab bersama yang dapat dijadikan sumber belajar kontekstual dalam pembelajaran IPS. Nilai-nilai tersebut dapat diintegrasikan melalui pendekatan berbaisis proyek dan kegiatan kolaboratif yang menimbuhkan karakter kebersamaan serta memperkuat identitas budaya peserta didik.

Abstract

Tradisi Neno Bo’ha merupakan tradisi yang dilakukan selama 40 hari pada ibu pasca melahirkan. Tradisi di Nusa Tenggara Timur ini telah terbukti menjadi salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi prevalensi kondisi ibu dan balita. Tradisi Neno Bo’ha yang dilakukan ibu pasca melahirkan cenderung tidak memperhatikan kebersihan diri dan bayi serta mengkonsumsi makanan tinggi karbohidrat namun rendah protein, sehingga berdampak pada kebersihan postpartum dan sanitasi sekitar bayi. Tradisi ini juga meningkatkan tingginya jumlah infeksi atau malaria di Nusa Tenggara Timur, yang menurut Badan Pusat Statistik telah tergolong tinggi. Penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menemukan lebih banyak insiden dampak dari adanya tradisi ini sehingga diperoleh hasil urgensi substitusi tradisi Neno Bo’ha terhadap kesehatan dan kebersihan ibu pasca melahirkan serta bayi. Solusi yang dapat dilakukan adalah melakukan pendekatan kepada tokoh masyarakat, memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat setempat, melibatkan tenaga kesehatan setempat untuk bekerja sama, baik dalam edukasi maupun pengobatan, hingga menciptakan inovasi pengganti tanpa menghilangkan nilai dasar tradisi tersebut.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan bagaimana masyarakat penutur bahasa Jawa dialek Tuban membedakan dan mengelompokkan berbagai aktivitas kaki melalui analisis komponensial. Dalam dialek ini, aktivitas kaki dinyatakan dengan banyak leksem yang menunjukkan cara bergerak, arah gerak, posisi tubuh, serta tujuan tindakan. Data penelitian berupa 22 leksem yang dikumpulkan melalui metode introspeksional, yaitu dengan mengandalkan ingatan dan intuisi peneliti sebagai penutur asli, serta dikonfirmasi melalui wawancara dengan anggota keluarga yang menggunakan dialek yang sama. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa leksem-leksem tersebut terbagi menjadi dua kelompok utama, yaitu aktivitas kaki yang berpotensi menyakiti dan aktivitas kaki yang tidak berpotensi menyakiti. Kelompok pertama terdiri dari delapan leksem, sedangkan kelompok kedua terdiri dari empat belas leksem. Masing-masing kelompok memiliki kesamaan komponen makna pada organ yang digunakan dan tujuan gerakan, tetapi berbeda pada komponen lain seperti posisi kaki, pola gerakan, arah gerak, keseimbangan tubuh, dan objek yang terlibat. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penutur dialek Tuban memiliki cara berpikir yang sistematis dalam memahami gerakan kaki dan membedakannya melalui ciri-ciri semantis tertentu. Penelitian ini dapat menambah kajian mengenai makna leksikal, terutama dalam bahasa daerah.

Abstract

This research was conducted due to the low level of student interest in science at the elementary school level, which is caused by teaching methods that do not connect the material to students' daily experiences. Science, as a combination of science and social studies, requires a realistic, meaningful, and enjoyable learning approach to align with children's developing thinking patterns. The deep learning model is considered an effective way to enhance in-depth conceptual understanding through exploration, problem-solving, and hands-on experiences that stimulate students' interest and self-esteem. The purpose of this study is to describe efforts to increase student interest in science using a deep learning approach. The method used was descriptive qualitative, with class teachers and 18 students at Nanggungan Elementary School as subjects. Data were obtained from observations, interviews, and documentation during the learning process. The results of this study demonstrate several efforts teachers have made to increase student interest in learning, including implementing interactive digital-based learning, providing hands-on learning experiences, strengthening student motivation and self-confidence, and creating an active and enjoyable learning environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas strategi literasi terstruktur dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca dan menulis siswa kelas 1 SD Mutiara Persada. Dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan desain one group pretest-posttest, penelitian melibatkan 25 siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan literasi terintegrasi (literasi pagi, pojok baca, jurnal harian, dan menulis kreatif) selama 14 hari. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes membaca-menulis, observasi, dan angket. Analisis uji-t sampel berpasangan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan skor membaca dan menulis siswa (p < 0,05). Rata-rata skor membaca meningkat dari 58,40 menjadi 78,20, sedangkan skor menulis naik dari 52,80 menjadi 74,60. Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa strategi literasi sistematis efektif meningkatkan literasi dasar pada pendidikan dasar awal.

Abstract

Technological disruption marked by the massive adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the global educational landscape presents a paradox for Islamic Religious Education (PAI). On the one hand, AI offers unprecedented efficiency, personalization, and accessibility of learning resources; but on the other hand, it carries existential threats in the form of character degradation, erosion of academic integrity, algorithmic bias, and dehumanization of the educational process. This study aims to formulate a comprehensive framework for reconstructing the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum by integrating the concept of Prophetic Intelligence as a philosophical, methodological, and axiological foundation. Through a qualitative approach with in-depth library research methods on literature from the 2020-2025 period, this article proposes a reactualization of the four obligatory attributes of the Prophet—Shiddiq, Amanah, Tabligh, and Fathonah—into the structure of a modern curriculum. The study's findings indicate that Prophetic Intelligence is not merely historical material, but an epistemological paradigm that fortifies learners against the phenomena of AI Hallucinations, cognitive dependency, and the loss of digital etiquette. This reconstruction includes a reorientation of educational goals from cognitive knowledge transfer to wisdom formation, the development of ethical digital literacy-based materials, the transformation of learning methods from teacher-centered to hybrid-humanistic, and evaluation that emphasizes authenticity and integrity. This article provides theoretical contributions to the development of Islamic educational philosophy and practical implications for policymakers in designing an educational ecosystem that is adaptive to Society 5.0 while remaining firmly rooted in transcendental values.

Abstract

The rise in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions resulting from fossil fuel consumption has become a critical global environmental issue. A transition toward clean and sustainable energy sources is urgently needed to mitigate climate change and preserve environmental stability. Biomass is one of the most promising renewable energy sources for development as an alternative fuel. This study aims to analyze the potential of biomass as an alternative energy source, examine available conversion technologies, and evaluate its effectiveness in reducing GHG emissions. A qualitative research method was employed through a comprehensive literature review of scientific journals, energy institution reports, and previous research findings. The results indicate that biomass—including agricultural waste, forest residues, and organic waste—is abundantly available and can be converted through direct combustion, gasification, pyrolysis, fermentation, and anaerobic digestion. Biomass utilization has proven effective in reducing carbon emissions due to its carbon-neutral characteristics and its ability to lower methane emissions from organic waste. These findings confirm that biomass represents a strategic solution for reducing GHG emissions and supporting sustainable energy development. Therefore, the advancement of biomass energy requires strong policy support, technological improvement, and sustainable feedstock management.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of understanding among the younger generation regarding the values of Pancasila embedded in the Sedekah Serabi tradition in Talang Jawa Village, Empat Lawang Regency, South Sumatra. Sedekah Serabi is a local cultural tradition that continues to be practiced by the community as an expression of gratitude to Almighty God and as a means of strengthening social relations among community members. This study aims to examine the process of implementing the Sedekah Serabi tradition and to analyze the Pancasila values contained within it. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation and interviews with traditional leaders, the village head, and members of the Talang Jawa community. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the Sedekah Serabi tradition embodies all five principles of Pancasila, namely Belief in One Almighty God, Just and Civilized Humanity, the Unity of Indonesia, Democracy Guided by Inner Wisdom through Deliberation and Representation, and Social Justice for All Indonesian People. These values are reflected in the stages of pre-implementation, implementation, and post-implementation of the tradition, including collective prayers, mutual cooperation, deliberation, togetherness, and social solidarity. This study is expected to raise public awareness, particularly among the younger generation, of the importance of preserving local traditions as a medium for practicing Pancasila values and to serve as a reference for future research on character education based on local wisdom.
