Abstract

Perkembangan globalisasi dan modernisasi menyebabkan pergeseran nilai di kalangan generasi muda, di mana minat terhadap budaya lokal semakin menurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali nilai-nilai luhur yang terkandung dalam motif tenun ikat Korkase dari Amarasi serta menganalisis relevansinya terhadap pembentukan karakter generasi muda melalui pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) berbasis ethnopedagogy. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian kepustakaan (library research) berdasarkan pandangan Zed (2008). Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan teknik analisis isi (content analysis) menurut Krippendorff (2004) untuk menafsirkan makna nilai-nilai yang terdapat dalam simbol dan motif Korkase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tenun Korkase mengandung enam nilai utama, yaitu religiusitas, tanggung jawab, keadilan, persaudaraan, ketulusan, dan cinta budaya. Nilai-nilai ini memiliki relevansi kuat terhadap pembentukan karakter spiritual, sosial, dan moral peserta didik. Melalui penerapan model pembelajaran ethnopedagogy dalam IPS, nilai-nilai Korkase dapat diinternalisasikan secara kontekstual melalui kegiatan reflektif, proyek budaya, dan praktik sosial. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar sekolah mengintegrasikan warisan budaya lokal seperti Korkase dalam pembelajaran IPS untuk memperkuat identitas, karakter, dan kebanggaan budaya generasi muda Amarasi.

Abstract

The taboos of traditional society are part of a cultural system rich in moral values and social norms. One of the taboos recognized in Malay society is the prohibition for young girls to sit in front of the house door. This research aims to understand the meaning behind this taboo and the moral values contained within it. The method used is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach, through literature review and cultural interpretation. The results show that this prohibition functions not only as a traditional belief but also carries symbolic meaning related to ethics, politeness, and the honor of women within the family. This prohibition is seen as a form of moral education aimed at preserving the dignity of young girls, preventing social scandals, and fostering a disciplined attitude in both public and domestic spaces. Thus, this taboo is not merely a myth but a means of internalizing values.

Abstract

Inclusive education emphasizes equal access, participation, and respect for student diversity, including social, cultural, linguistic, and other background differences. In multicultural societies, culture plays a strategic role in shaping inclusive educational practices. This article aims to analyze the symbiotic role of culture in fostering inclusive education by examining the relationship between cultural values, learning strategies, and the development of inclusive learning environments. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method, drawing on relevant national and international scholarly sources. The findings indicate that culture serves as a fundamental value base for inclusive education and maintains a symbiotic relationship with educational practices, in which education adapts to students’ cultural contexts while also transforming cultural values. The integration of local cultural values into curricula and learning processes enhances students’ motivation, participation, and character development. However, the implementation of culture-based inclusive education still faces challenges, such as the dominance of majority cultures, limited teacher competence, and insufficient policy support. Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to elementary education, making digital literacy an essential competence for students. This study aims to examine innovations in digital-based learning media in improving elementary school students’ literacy and to identify effective models, challenges, and implementation strategies. This research employed a qualitative approach using a literature review method by analyzing relevant national and international journal articles. Data analysis was conducted descriptively through content analysis to identify patterns, trends, and key findings. The results indicate that digital learning media such as e-books, animated videos, educational games, digital teaching materials, and interactive media can enhance students’ digital literacy, reading interest, comprehension, and critical thinking skills. Effective digital-based learning models include blended learning and interactive learning approaches that promote active engagement, collaboration, and learning flexibility. However, the implementation of digital learning media in elementary schools still faces challenges, including limited access to devices and internet connectivity, insufficient teachers’ digital competence, and a lack of digital content aligned with the curriculum and local context. Therefore, comprehensive implementation strategies are required, including digital literacy training for teachers, the development of contextual digital learning media, improvement of technological infrastructure, and continuous supervision and character development. Overall, digital-based learning media innovations have strong potential to support the strengthening of elementary school students’ literacy in addressing contemporary educational challenges. Perkembangan teknologi digital membawa perubahan signifikan dalam pendidikan dasar, sehingga literasi digital menjadi kompetensi penting bagi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji inovasi media pembelajaran berbasis digital dalam meningkatkan literasi siswa sekolah dasar serta mengidentifikasi model, tantangan, dan solusi implementasinya. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi literatur denganmenelaah jurnal nasional dan internasional yang relevan. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif menggunakan analisis isi untuk menemukan pola, kecenderungan, dan temuan utama. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran digital seperti e-book, video animasi, game edukasi, bahan ajar digital, dan media interaktif mampu meningkatkan literasi digital, minat membaca, pemahaman materi, serta kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Model pembelajaran berbasis digital yang efektif meliputi blended learning dan pembelajaran interaktif yang mendorong keterlibatan aktif, kolaborasi, dan fleksibilitas belajar. Namun, implementasi media digital di sekolah dasar masih menghadapi kendala berupa keterbatasan akses perangkat dan internet, rendahnya kompetensi digital guru, serta minimnya konten digital yang selaras dengan kurikulum dan konteks lokal. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi implementasi yang komprehensif melalui pelatihan literasi digital bagi guru, pengembangan media pembelajaran kontekstual, peningkatan sarana prasarana teknologi, serta pengawasan dan pembinaan karakter. Secara keseluruhan, inovasi media pembelajaran berbasis digital berpotensi besar mendukung penguatan literasi siswa sekolah dasar dalam menghadapi tantangan pendidikan.

Abstract

Difficulties in understanding fractions with unlike denominators remain a common problem in elementary mathematics learning. These difficulties are often caused by abstract teaching approaches and limited use of concrete learning media. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of pizza puzzle media as a learning aid in teaching fractions with unlike denominators in elementary schools. The research employed a literature review method by systematically analyzing national journal articles published within the last ten years. Data were collected from reputable databases such as Google Scholar, SINTA, and Garuda using keywords related to puzzle media, fraction learning, and elementary mathematics education. The results of the literature analysis indicate that pizza puzzle media effectively improves students’ conceptual understanding of fractions, reduces misconceptions in comparing and adding fractions with different denominators, and increases student learning activity and motivation. The visual and manipulative characteristics of pizza puzzle media help students understand fractions as parts of a whole and support meaningful learning experiences. Therefore, pizza puzzle media can be considered an effective and relevant instructional aid for teaching fractions with unlike denominators in elementary schools. Abstract

This study aims to describe the types and causes of student errors in solving algebraic problems in terms of learning styles. Analysis of student errors using Newman's error procedure. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The initial subjects in this study were students of class VIIA and VIIB SMPN 2 Pringgarata in the 2025/2026 academic year and the final subjects were 10 students selected based on their learning style type by looking at their dominant learning style. The instruments used were (i) Learning style questionnaire, used to determine the type of student learning style, (ii) Written test, used to find the type of student errors using Newman's error procedure, (iii) Interview, used to find the causes of student errors in solving problems. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study were 10 selected subjects, namely 5 students with visual learning style types, 2 students with auditory learning style types and 3 students with kinesthetic learning style types. Students with visual learning styles tend to make mistakes at the process skills and conclusion writing stages, the cause of these mistakes is because they do not know the right steps to solve the problem, are in a hurry so they forget to write the conclusion. Students with auditory learning styles tend to make mistakes at the transformation, process skills and conclusion writing stages, the cause of these mistakes is because they do not know how to make mathematical equations and models, do not know what formulas to use and do not know the steps to solve the problem. Students with kinesthetic learning styles tend to make mistakes at the reading, understanding, process skills and conclusion writing stages, the cause of these mistakes is because students are unable to understand the meaning of the problem correctly, are unable to find the steps to solve the problem correctly, rewrite previous mistakes at the conclusion writing stage and even do not know what to write at the conclusion writing stage.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana pengembangan media pembelajaran digital yang menggunakan aplikasi Kahoot guna meningkatkan kemampuan literasi membaca siswa di tingkat sekolah dasar. Analisis dilakukan dengan metode literatur riview, yang mengkaji berbagai artikel ilmiah dari Google Scholar terkait penggunaan Kahoot di berbagai jenjang pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan Kahoot sebagai alat pembelajaran berbasis permainan dapat meningkatkan partisipasi, motivasi, dan keterlibatan siswa dalam kegiatan membaca, serta mempermudah pengulangan materi bacaan secara interaktif, yang berdampak positif terhadap pemahaman dan daya ingat siswa terhadap teks yang dibaca. Di samping itu, fitur penilaian otomatis yang ada di Kahoot menjadikan guru lebih mudah dalam menilai hasil belajar dan mengenali masalah literasi yang dihadapi siswa dengan lebih cepat dan efektif, meskipun ada kendala seperti kurangnya perangkat, akses internet, dan kebijakan penggunaan perangkat di sekolah. Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kahoot memiliki potensi besar sebagai media pembelajaran digital yang relevan dalam mendukung pengembangan literasi membaca di sekolah dasar pada era pendidikan abad ke-21.

Abstract

This study aims to explain how to develop digital learning media using the Kahoot application to improve students' reading literacy skills at the elementary school level. The analysis was conducted using a literature study method, which reviewed various scientific articles from Google Scholar related to the use of Kahoot at various levels of education. The results of the study indicate that the use of Kahoot as a game-based learning tool can increase student participation, motivation, and engagement in reading activities, as well as facilitate interactive broadcasting of reading materials, which has a positive impact on students' understanding and retention of the texts read. On the other hand, the automatic assessment feature in Kahoot makes it easier for teachers to assess learning outcomes and identify literacy problems faced by students more quickly and effectively, despite obstacles such as limited devices, internet access, and device usage policies at school. Overall, the results of the study indicate that Kahoot has great potential as a relevant digital learning medium in supporting the development of reading literacy in elementary schools in the 21st century education era.

Abstract

This study focuses on evaluating the paraphrasing skills of first-year students at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra to help reduce cases of plagiarism in their academic work. Paraphrasing is an important skill in academia that allows students to express ideas found in reference materials in their own words while maintaining the original meaning. A descriptive qualitative method was used in this study, with data collection through literature analysis, semi-structured interviews, and paraphrasing assessment using a special research tool. The research participants were first-year students from the State Islamic University of North Sumatra who were assigned to paraphrase the same text. The results of the study showed that, in general, students had a fairly good level of paraphrasing ability. However, they faced difficulties such as limited use of synonyms, sentence constructions that were too similar to the original text, and weak understanding of key concepts. In addition, factors such as low academic literacy and time constraints hindered the quality of their paraphrasing efforts. Therefore, continuous and structured training in paraphrasing is essential to improve the originality of students' academic writing and help avoid plagiarism.

Abstract

Masalah bullying masih sering terjadi di kalangan peserta didik sekolah dasar, yang memengaruhi kenyamanan dan perkembangan sosial mereka di lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi pendidik dalam menangani bullying pada peserta didik di SD Negeri 1 Sepang Jaya, mencakup jenis bullying yang muncul, pendekatan yang digunakan pendidik, serta faktor yang mendukung dan menghambat implementasi strategi tersebut. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode kualitatif dengan fokus pada pendidik dan peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Sepang Jaya sebagai subjek. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa pendidik menggunakan strategi pemberian konsekuensi berupa penghargaan dan hukuman melalui pembinaan perilaku serta komunikasi terus-menerus, yang membantu mengurangi perilaku bullying dan meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik tentang pentingnya sikap saling menghormati, dengan dukungan dari komitmen pendidik dan kebijakan sekolah sebagai faktor pendukung, sementara perbedaan kepribadian peserta didik dan keterbatasan pengawasan menjadi faktor penghambat.
