Abstract

This study examines effective music learning strategies for children in the non-formal educational environment of Golden Music, Palangka Raya. The problem in this study is the diverse learning characteristics of children, including children who learn because of parental encouragement, children who have intrinsic motivation, and children with special needs who require an adaptive teaching approach. The purpose of this study is to identify appropriate teaching strategies and methods to support children's musical development, particularly in piano learning. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative method, with observation and interviews with teachers and students as the main data collection techniques. The researcher observed three students with different learning characteristics to understand how learning strategies are applied in practice. The results show that differences in children's motivation, readiness to learn, and concentration significantly affect the effectiveness of the learning process. Overall, these findings highlight that effective music learning in a non-formal environment requires flexible and individually tailored strategies that are adapted to each child's character and needs.

Abstract

This research discusses the implementation of Qur'anic ethics education in shaping students' character in the digital era. The aim of this study is to analyze the concepts, principles, and challenges in applying Qur'anic ethics education amidst the rapid development of information technology. The methodology used in this study is a literature review, analyzing various sources and research related to Qur'anic ethics in the Qur'an and its implementation in formal education. The findings show that Qur'anic ethics education focuses on strengthening moral values such as honesty, responsibility, compassion, and justice as taught in the Qur'an. In the digital era, the application of these values needs to be adjusted to the needs of the younger generation, who are more exposed to social media and technology. The main challenges faced include the dominance of social media, lack of communication within families, and the negative influence of digital content on youth morals. The implementation of Qur'anic ethics education in the digital era requires collaboration between the curriculum, teacher role models, and active family involvement. The use of digital Qur'an applications, Islamic learning media, and digital social projects becomes a solution to integrate Qur'anic values into daily life. Therefore, Qur'anic ethics education can be a strong pillar in shaping the character of the younger generation who have noble ethics, even as they grow in the digital world.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The school literacy strengthening program is a strategic effort to improve the literacy and numeracy culture of elementary school students. This activity aims to describe the implementation and impact of the School Literacy Strengthening Program on increasing students' reading interest, literacy skills, and numeracy. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included teachers and students at SDN Bulu 02 and SDN Bulu 03, Pilangkenceng District, Madiun Regency. The literacy program was implemented through a 10–15-minute reading habit before class, mentoring in writing reading summaries, and numeracy reinforcement through educational games. The results showed an increase in reading interest, active student involvement in literacy activities, and the development of reading comprehension and basic numeracy skills. Furthermore, this program was able to foster reading habits and positive attitudes toward the learning process. Thus, the School Literacy Strengthening Program has proven effective in fostering a culture of literacy and numeracy in elementary schools and is recommended for continued implementation Keywords: school literacy 1, numeracy, literacy culture 2, elementary school 3. ABSTRAK Program penguatan literasi sekolah merupakan salah satu upaya strategis untuk meningkatkan budaya literasi dan numerasi peserta didik di sekolah dasar. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan serta dampak Program Penguatan Literasi Sekolah terhadap peningkatan minat baca, kemampuan literasi baca-tulis, dan numerasi peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian meliputi guru dan peserta didik di SDN Bulu 02 dan SDN Bulu 03 Kecamatan Pilangkenceng, Kabupaten Madiun. Program literasi dilaksanakan melalui pembiasaan membaca selama 10–15 menit sebelum pembelajaran, pendampingan penulisan ringkasan bacaan, serta penguatan numerasi melalui media permainan edukatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan minat baca, keterlibatan aktif peserta didik dalam kegiatan literasi, serta perkembangan kemampuan memahami bacaan dan numerasi dasar. Selain itu, program ini mampu membentuk kebiasaan membaca dan sikap positif terhadap proses pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, Program Penguatan Literasi Sekolah terbukti efektif dalam menumbuhkan budaya literasi dan numerasi di lingkungan sekolah dasar dan direkomendasikan untuk dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan. Abstract

Learning the procedures of prayer is an essential part of Islamic Religious Education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah because prayer is an obligatory worship that must be understood and practiced from an early age. However, in practice, some students still have difficulties in understanding the correct movements and recitations of prayer. This study aims to describe the implementation of the demonstration method in teaching prayer procedures at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, students’ responses to the method, and the supporting and inhibiting factors. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The research subjects were Islamic Religious Education teachers and students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The results show that the demonstration method was implemented through preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. This method increased students’ activeness, enthusiasm, and understanding of prayer procedures. Supporting factors included teacher readiness and facilities, while inhibiting factors were limited learning time and differences in students’ abilities.

Abstract

Ukhuwah Islamiyah is a concept of brotherhood taught in Islam as a fundamental foundation for building a harmonious, peaceful, and just social life. This concept not only encompasses brotherhood among Muslims but also emphasizes Islamic values in broader human relations. This article aims to examine the concept of Ukhuwah Islamiyah from the perspectives of the Qur’an and Hadith, as well as to describe its forms and efforts to strengthen it in social life. The research method used is library research by reviewing various relevant literature, scientific journals, Qur’anic exegesis, and Hadith. The results of the study indicate that Ukhuwah Islamiyah is a form of brotherhood based on faith, compassion, tolerance, justice, and mutual respect. Strengthening ukhuwah can be achieved through forgiveness, protecting the dignity of others, strengthening social bonds, maintaining polite communication, and instilling Islamic values through education. By consistently practicing Ukhuwah Islamiyah, Muslims can foster unity and social harmony amid diversity and contemporary challenges.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the existence of learning difficulties experienced by students in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at MTs Negeri 02 Batam, which have an impact on students’ understanding and learning outcomes. Learning difficulties in PAI need to be analyzed comprehensively in order to identify appropriate solutions. The purpose of this study is to analyze the forms of students’ learning difficulties in PAI subjects and to identify the factors influencing these difficulties. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subjects consisted of eighth grade students and PAI teachers at MTs Negeri 02 Batam. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that students experience various learning difficulties, including difficulties in understanding conceptual and memorization based materials, low learning motivation, lack of interest in PAI lessons, and limited variation in teaching methods. In addition, internal factors such as cognitive ability and learning motivation, as well as external factors such as the learning environment and instructional strategies used by teachers, contribute to students’ learning difficulties. Therefore, the implementation of more innovative and student-centered learning strategies is needed to reduce students’ learning difficulties in Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

This study addresses the issue of varying levels of students’ moral conduct in school settings, despite the strong emphasis on character and religious development at SMPIT Tahfidz Nurul Islam Batam. The study aims to examine the forms of teacher parent collaboration and to assess its role in fostering students’ moral character (akhlak). A mixed-methods approach with an explanatory sequential design was employed: the first phase used questionnaires to measure the level of teacher parent collaboration and students’ moral character, followed by interviews and document review in the second phase to elaborate the quantitative results. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential techniques (relationship/effect testing), while qualitative data were analyzed thematically. The findings indicate that teacher parent collaboration plays a positive role in strengthening students’ moral character. The most supportive practices include regular communication (offline and online), monitoring worship routines and daily habits, consistent discipline agreements between home and school, and parenting programs. Key challenges involve parents’ limited time and inconsistent follow-up. Overall, the results highlight the need for structured communication mechanisms and shared commitment to ensure sustainable moral development. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis peran kultur sekolah sebagai strategi dalam menjaga ketenangan dan kedisiplinan siswa di SDK Sawu. Kultur sekolah diyakini memiliki pengaruh signifikan dalam membentuk perilaku siswa melalui pembiasaan, keteladanan, dan penanaman nilai-nilai positif yang diterapkan secara konsisten dalam kehidupan sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, guru, tenaga kependidikan, dan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berbagai aspek budaya sekolah telah diterapkan dengan baik, seperti budaya 3S (senyum, sapa, salam), pelaksanaan doa bersama, upacara bendera, penggunaan seragam, dan penguatan karakter melalui kegiatan kokurikuler dan ekstrakurikuler. Kultur tersebut memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap terciptanya suasana belajar yang tenang dan kondusif serta membentuk sikap disiplin siswa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Meskipun masih terdapat beberapa tantangan seperti kurangnya kesadaran sebagian siswa dalam menjaga kebersihan dan penggunaan bahasa yang sopan, secara keseluruhan kultur sekolah di SDK Sawu telah menjadi strategi efektif dalam mendukung pembentukan karakter dan kedisiplinan siswa.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMP masih sering berlangsung secara konseptual dan berpusat pada guru, sehingga keterkaitan nilai-nilai Islam dengan konteks sains, teknologi, dan pemecahan masalah nyata belum optimal. Kondisi ini berdampak pada rendahnya keterlibatan siswa, kemampuan berpikir kritis, serta penerapan ajaran PAI dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran pembelajaran PAI berbasis STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) dalam meningkatkan kualitas proses dan hasil belajar siswa di SMP, terutama pada aspek pemahaman konsep, sikap religius, dan keterampilan abad ke 21. Metodologi penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperimen tipe nonequivalent control group. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SMP yang dibagi menjadi kelas eksperimen (PAI berbasis STEM) dan kelas kontrol (pembelajaran konvensional). Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar, angket motivasi dan sikap religius, serta lembar observasi keterlibatan siswa. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan uji perbedaan rata-rata dan perhitungan peningkatan (N gain). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PAI berbasis STEM berperan positif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterlibatan siswa dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional, ditandai oleh peningkatan skor tes dan motivasi belajar yang lebih tinggi pada kelas eksperimen. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi STEM dalam PAI dapat memperkuat relevansi materi, menumbuhkan berpikir kritis, dan mendorong internalisasi nilai melalui aktivitas belajar berbasis proyek dan pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

Indonesia, as a developing country, greatly needs a creative younger generation to contribute to education, culture, and technology. Creativity can be enhanced through education, particularly in elementary schools through the Cultural Arts and Crafts (SBDP) subject. Learning SBDP is an important aspect of developing students' aesthetic abilities and creativity. This study examines the implementation of teaching light and dark elements in visual arts in grade 6 at SD 2 Karang Malang by applying the Merdeka Curriculum using a Project-Based Learning model, deep learning, and inquiry approaches. The study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection through teacher interviews, lesson plan documentation, and observation of student products. Learning media such as projectors, whiteboards, and drawing tools are used to support the learning process. The learning process was carried out by combining theory and practice through direct exploration in the school environment, group discussions, and the application of shading techniques. Students' product outcomes demonstrated their understanding and skills in drawing objects using light and dark techniques that create volume and depth. This learning approach encourages creativity, analytical skills, as well as character development in students in accordance with the Pancasila Student Profile. This article is expected to provide practical references for teachers and related parties in developing innovative, contextual, and meaningful arts and culture learning for elementary school students. Evaluations indicate the success of the methods, media, and approaches used in enhancing students' art skills. However, time planning and facilities need to be improved to make the learning process more optimal.
