Abstract

Orientalist studies on hadith have become a significant discourse in contemporary Islamic studies, particularly concerning the authenticity, transmission, and methodological validity of hadith. Several Orientalist scholars view hadith as historical products shaped by social and political contexts after the death of the Prophet Muhammad, leading to critical assessments of the isnad and matn systems. This study aims to analyze the methodological critiques proposed by Orientalists toward hadith and to examine their implications for contemporary hadith studies. This research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, utilizing critical and comparative analysis of Orientalist works and responses from Muslim hadith scholars. The findings indicate that Orientalist critiques are largely grounded in a historical skeptical paradigm that differs epistemologically from the classical ulum al-hadith tradition. Despite their methodological limitations, Orientalist studies have stimulated academic responses and contributed to methodological refinement within modern hadith studies. In conclusion, Orientalist approaches to hadith should be addressed critically and proportionally, serving both as a challenge and an opportunity for the development of contemporary hadith scholarship.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of democratic leadership practiced by female principals at the elementary school level in Barebbo District, Bone Regency. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects consisted of five female principals selected through purposive sampling based on school accreditation and a minimum of five years of leadership experience. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, with analysis conducted through data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that female principals implement democratic leadership through open communication, involvement of teachers in decision-making processes, and the application of deliberation in school management. Democratic leadership is also reflected in teacher empowerment and task delegation based on individual competencies. Within the context of a strong patron–client culture in Bone Regency, female principals are able to adapt democratic leadership practices without diminishing their authority by positioning themselves as respected figures who remain open to dialogue. The implementation of this leadership style has a positive impact on creating a harmonious, collaborative, and conducive school climate, while increasing teacher motivation and sense of belonging. This study provides empirical insights into how female leadership can overcome gender stereotypes through effective participatory practices in local cultural contexts.

Abstract

The problem of waste constitutes an urgent global environmental and public health challenge, exacerbated by low levels of awareness. Therefore, the cultivation of eco-literacy and the development of environmentally caring character from an early age, particularly in elementary schools, are crucial. This study analyzes the effectiveness of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning based on wasterelated issues in shaping environmentally caring character among elementary school students. Using a Mixed Methods approach with a Sequential Explanatory design, the quantitative phase employed a quasi-experimental pre-test–post-test group design, which demonstrated a significant increase in students’ knowledge, attitudes, and environmentally responsible behaviors in the experimental group after the intervention. Students exhibited comprehensive understanding of waste, positive attitudes, and proactive behaviors such as waste sorting. The qualitative phase, conducted through a case study, confirmed that hands-on activities and indepth discussions facilitated conceptual understanding, fostered empathy, and internalized environmental care values. The role of teachers as facilitators and curriculum flexibility were identified as key factors for success. Thus, waste issue– based IPAS learning is highly effective in shaping environmentally caring character among elementary school students, recommending systematic integration of environmental issues and increased teacher support. The limitations of this study include issues of generalizability and the need for long-term evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the humanistic values in the Qur’an that are relevant to educational interaction, their implementation in teacher student interaction, and the factors influencing their application at SMP Negeri 1 Uluiwoi. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive analytical method. Data were collected through observation, in depth interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and students, and were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the dominant Qur’anic humanistic values in educational interaction include respect for human dignity, justice, compassion and empathy, as well as moral responsibility and exemplarity. These values have been implemented in a relatively humanistic and dialogical manner in both classroom and school interactions, although their application has not been entirely consistent in certain situations. Supporting factors include teachers’ religious understanding and a conducive school culture, while inhibiting factors involve time constraints, teachers’ administrative workload, and students’ social environments. This study underscores that integrating Qur’anic humanistic values into educational interaction is essential for strengthening character education within the framework of Islamic education.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) management in educational institutions to produce quality graduates. Using a qualitative descriptive case study approach at SDI Hasyim Asy'ari Cisarua Bogor, this study explores how OBE-based educational management is planned, implemented, and evaluated. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation analysis. The findings indicate that OBE-based educational management requires clear outcome identification, backward curriculum design, student-centered learning strategies, and authentic assessment systems. The implementation involves transformation from teacher-centered to student-centered approaches, development of professional teacher competencies, and creation of a conducive learning environment. The evaluation system focuses on measuring learning achievement comprehensively through criterion-referenced assessment and continuous quality improvement. This research contributes to understanding how OBE principles can be contextualized in Islamic primary education settings and provides practical implications for improving educational quality through outcome-oriented management approaches.

Abstract

Islamic educational institutions are entities or bodies that regulate and implement Islamic education, having an organized structure and responsibility for the implementation of Islamic education. Therefore, these Islamic educational institutions must be able to create an environment that supports the effective implementation of education in accordance with their roles and duties, such as schools (madrasahs) that are responsible for the Islamic education process. The purpose of this study is to find and analyze the Models of Islamic Educational Institutions. This research uses a library research approach, which involves describing phenomena or concepts based on existing literature sources and theories, concepts, or results from previous research. The results of this study indicate that through comprehensive religious teaching, pesantrens help build a strong understanding of Islamic values, ethics, and morality. Thus, pesantrens play an important role in shaping an individual's character and spirituality, which in turn will have a positive impact on the social life of the community.

Abstract

Indonesia, as a state based on law, governs its affairs based on law or rechtstaat. Legal rules were created to prevent the growth of arbitrary power. This also applies to the presidential impeachment mechanism. The results show that the impeachment schemes between Indonesia and the Federal Republic of Germany share similarities. The Constitutional Court has the authority to adjudicate through the impeachment process. Although there are fundamental technical differences, the German Constitutional Court does not have a direct role in dismissing the Head of State but rather focuses on the constitutional review of laws. In Indonesia, the Constitutional Court is involved in the substantive verification of charges against the President and Vice President. From the perspective of the theory of the purpose of law, the Constitutional Court's position is as the guardian of the constitution and democracy, where impeachment of a head of state must be based purely on objectively proven errors, not politically motivated.

Abstract

The disruption of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has created a rapidly changing business landscape, demanding fundamental transformations in entrepreneurship education. However, empirical evidence on the effectiveness and integration models of AI remains fragmented. This study conducted a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using the PRISMA protocol to synthesize evidence from indexed publications from 2019–2024, in order to map the convergence of AI in entrepreneurship teaching methodologies. The analysis of 30 selected studies revealed three key roles of AI: as a business decision simulator, a personalized learning platform, and a creativity catalyst, which synergistically shape the learning cycle to develop "AI-Preneur" competencies. These findings highlight the need for a curriculum shift that integrates AI literacy and ethics, as well as the transformation of educators' roles into metacognitive facilitators. The study's conclusions affirm that AI has the potential to revolutionize entrepreneurship pedagogy from a theoretical approach to a data-driven, experimental one. The main implication is the urgent need for an “Augmented Entrepreneurship” pedagogical framework that synergistically combines human intelligence with algorithmic capabilities, while critically addressing the challenges of bias, ethics, and the digital divide to ensure inclusive and responsible educational innovation.

Abstract

Mahmud Yunus’s Tafsir Al-Qur’an Al-Karim is a significant contribution to the Nusantara Qur’anic exegetical tradition, addressing Indonesian readers’ needs in educational and da‘wah contexts. Nevertheless, its structure, method, and exegetical orientation require a more systematic mapping to clarify its scholarly contribution to Indonesian tafsir studies. This study aims to examine the work’s presentation characteristics, identify its dominant interpretive method and exegetical style, and assess its contribution to the development of Nusantara tafsir. Employing library research with a descriptive analytical approach, the study applies content analysis to the tafsir text and relevant supporting literature. The findings indicate that the tafsir adopts a concise and communicative explanatory style, strongly emphasizing educational and moral orientation, and providing practical interpretations for general readers. Its exegetical tendency reflects an adabi ijtima‘i (literary social) orientation, particularly in themes of ethics, worship, and social guidance. In conclusion, Mahmud Yunus’s tafsir serves as an accessible medium for strengthening Qur’anic literacy while enriching Nusantara tafsir through a pedagogical popular approach. Abstract

Communication skills are an essential competency in Social Studies learning; however, in practice, students’ communication skills are still relatively low. Therefore, a learning model that encourages active student participation is needed, one of which is Problem Based Learning (PBL). This study aims to analyze the improvement of students’ communication skills in Social Studies learning through the implementation of the PBL model. The research method used is qualitative research with a literature review approach by examining various relevant sources, including books and journal articles. The results of the review indicate that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model can improve students’ communication skills through discussion activities, group work, and problem-solving. In addition, the PBL model creates Social Studies learning that is more interactive, participatory, and meaningful. Thus, the Problem Based Learning model can be used as an effective alternative to improve students’ communication skills.
