Abstract

Beginning reading ability is a fundamental skill that must be mastered by first-grade elementary school students, as it serves as the foundation for future academic success. However, early reading instruction is still predominantly implemented using conventional methods that tend to be monotonous and less engaging, resulting in low reading proficiency among students. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of four stages: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects were 28 first-grade students of SD Negeri 1 Ngingit in the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two meetings. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ beginning reading abilities. In the pre-cycle stage, only 21.43% of students were categorized as fluent readers. After the implementation of the Pohon Aksara media in Cycle I, the percentage increased to 42.86%, and further improved significantly to 82.14% in Cycle II. The Pohon Aksara media is recommended as an effective alternative instructional medium to enhance early literacy in lower-grade elementary school classrooms.

Abstract

Basic education plays a strategic role not only in developing students’ academic competencies but also in shaping social awareness and character as members of society. This article aims to evaluate the role of basic education within the social context of society from a sociological perspective. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed through a literature review of scholarly sources related to the sociology of education and basic education. The analysis focused on examining the function of basic education as a social institution, an agent of socialization, and a medium for internalizing social values and norms. The findings indicate that basic education has a significant role in fostering social values, strengthening social integration, and preparing students to adapt to the dynamics of social life. However, this role has not been fully optimized due to various social factors, including diverse family backgrounds, community environments, and limited collaboration between schools, parents, and society. Therefore, strengthening the implementation of sociological foundations in basic education practices is essential to ensure that educational processes are more contextual, inclusive, and responsive to social realities. This study is expected to provide a conceptual contribution to the development of policies and practices in basic education oriented toward enhancing students’ social competencies

Abstract

The ability of students in writing is still low, especially in writing anecdotal texts, so we need a learning innovation that can improve students' abilities through the use of show not tell techniques. This study aims to improve students 'anecdotal text writing skills by applying the Show not tell technique, as well as describing the improvement in students' anecdotal text writing skills by applying the show not tell technique. The population in this study were all grade X students of SMA Negeri 1 Ciasem. The research method used was a pre-experimental design with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data collection techniques used in this study were writing tests. The data form of this research is in the form of an assessment of learning outcomes that illustrate the skills of students in writing anecdotal texts. Data analysis of test results is done by collecting data writing anecdotal texts, correcting, determining values ​​and processing values. The results showed a significant increase in anecdotal text writing test scores with pretest and posttest. Overall pretest results of students obtained an average value of 59.09 while the overall posttest results of students scored with an average of 78.27. Thus it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of writing anecdotal texts by using show not tell technique increases. Keywords: Writing, Anecdotal Text, Show Not Tell Technique

Abstract

Latar belakang dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gaya belajar peserta didik. Hal ini dikarenakan perbedaan keunikan cara belajar antara masing-masing peserta didik. Perbedaan itu dipengaruhi factor lingkungan dan dominasi otak sehingga membentuk suatu gaya belajar yang cenderung mengarah pada penglihatan, pendengaran maupun gerak tubuh. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi kasus. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas 1 SDN Tambakrejo 01 Semarang tahun pelajaran 2022/2023 yang berjumlah 28 anak dimana didalamnya terdapat 17 peserta didik berjenis kelamin laki-laki dan 11 peserta didik berjenis kelamin perempuan. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara dan angket/kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik kelas 1 SDN Tambakrejo 01 memiliki gaya belajar yang beragam. Terbukti bahwa gaya belajar peserta didik kelas 1 SDN Tambakrejo menunjukkan 29% visual, 32% audiotori dan 39% kinestetik. Perbedaan gaya belajar inilah yang menjadi tantangan bagi pendidik untuk menerapkan strategi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi bertujuan untuk memfasilitasi peserta didik agar terpenuhi kebutuhan belajarnya serta dapat memahami materi secara mendalam.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an interactive thematic module/e-module based on the Pancasila Student Profile to improve learning quality at SDN 151 Inpres Kalampa. The background of this study is the need for innovative teaching materials that are contextual, interactive, and aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) which includes needs analysis, design, multimedia integration, validation, and trials. The results show that the developed module is valid and practical. Trial results indicate that 80% of students found the module easy to understand and use. The module effectively increases student motivation, reinforces concept understanding, and integrates the values of the Pancasila Student Profile. In conclusion, this innovation improves teacher professionalism in digital pedagogy and student learning quality.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of implementing religious character education through school culture at SD Muhammadiyah Wirobrajan 1 Yogyakarta, namely the planning process, implementation, supporting factors, inhibiting factors, results, and evaluation. The background of this study is based on the application of character education through school culture, which has a positive impact on the character building of students primary schools. This study was a qualitative study using a descriptive approach. The population consisted of the principal, teachers, and students. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Data validity was checked using triangulation. The results of the study show that the implementation of religious character education through school culture at SD Muhammadiyah Wirobrajan 1 Yogyakarta has been carried out through three cultures, namely academic, socio-cultural, and democratic, which contains the values of worship, morals, behaviour and human values. The guidelines used are the vision, mission, school objectives, the Ministry of National Education, and Muhammadiyah. Planning is used for the preparation programmes, documents, curriculum, lesson plans, and evaluations. Implementation was carried out through learning, school programmes, and habits. Supporting factors are vision, mission, objectives, programmes, facilities, infrastructure, school environment, teachers, and parents. Obstacles came from internal factors of students, teachers, and the environment outside school. The results of implementing religious character education through school culture have generally been quite good, in line with the objectives. Evaluation is carried out through direct and routine observation techniques.

*)Penulis Korespondensi E-mail : tematik.pgsd@unismuh.ac.id Pendidikan pada dasarnya guna untuk membantu peserta didik dalam pengembangan diri, yakni pengembangan potensi yang dimiliki peserta didik, kecakapan,serta karateristik pribadinya kearah yang positif, baik bagi diri maupun lingkungannya. Berdasarkan hasil literatur yang dijelaskan di atas bahwa, belajar adalah hakikatnya merupakan kegiatan yang disengaja yang dilakukan oleh individu yang menyebabkan perubahan tingkah laku, pola pikir, pengalaman pada diri seseorang. Sedangkan pembelajaran merupakan suatu sistem atau proses membelajarkan peserta didik yang direncanakan, dilaksanakan, dievaluasi secara sistematis agar subjek didik dapat mencapai tujuan-tujuan pembelajaran secara efektif dan efisien.Dalam proses pembelajaran, pndidik perlu memperhatikan prinsip-prinsip belajar dan pembelajaran peserta didik. Anak usia sekolah dasar (SD) mempunyai karakteristik belajar yang kontekstual, integratif, hierarkis. Adapun karakteristik pembelajaran anak usia sekolah dasar (SD) yakni ada dua yaitu diantaranya, belajar dan pembelajaran menjadi bermakna dan pembelajaran tematik. Berdasarkan penjelasan belajar dan pembelajaran di atas, maka peneliti berfokus pada : (1). Hakikat Belajar, (2). Hakikat Pembelajaran, (3). Prinsip-prinsip belajar, (4). Prinsip-prinsip pembelajaran, (5). Cara belajar anak usia sekolah dasar, (6). Karakteristik pembelajaran anak usia sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur. Data yang digunakan berasal dari buku, jurnal, artikel ilmiah, literature review yang berisikan tentang konsep yang diteliti. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis isi. Keakuratan hasil analisis dilakukan dengan mengecek literatur dan membaca kembali pustaka. Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) the Concept Image and Concept Definition of ninth-grade students regarding recon texts at SMP Negeri 36 Makassar. (2) the Concept Definition of recon texts as explained by teachers in Indonesian language learning. The results of the study indicate that: (1) the Concept Image and Concept Definition of ninth-grade students regarding recon texts show significant variations. Some students have had a conceptual balance between the intuitive image and the formal definition of recon texts, while others experience conceptual imbalance due to the inconsistency between the inherent Concept Image and the correct Concept Definition, especially in understanding the structure and linguistic characteristics of recon texts; (2) the Concept Definition conveyed by the teacher has systematically covered the meaning, function, structure, and linguistic characteristics of recon texts, but the understanding and internalization of these concepts by students is not evenly distributed even though learning strategies have been implemented such as activating prior experiences and modeling through learning media. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the conflict between Concept Image and Concept Definition is the main cognitive root of student misconceptions, so that more reflective and explicit learning interventions are needed in restructuring students’ intuitive schemes to align with the demands of the formal concept of the curriculum.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh disrupsi media digital yang memperluas akses tafsir Al-Qur’an, tetapi sekaligus memunculkan ketegangan antara kemudahan konsumsi konten dan akuntabilitas keilmuan. Tujuan penelitian ialah menganalisis dampak penetrasi teknologi digital terhadap validitas penyebaran tafsir di Indonesia, khususnya pada tiga isu: erosi otoritas tafsir tradisional, tantangan kredibilitas akibat lemahnya verifikasi sanad/kompetensi, dan risiko misinterpretasi karena format tafsir singkat (context dropping). Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif berbasis studi pustaka dengan kerangka analisis kritis, diperkuat analisis isi kualitatif terhadap sampel konten tafsir mikro di platform digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa digitalisasi berhasil mendemokratisasi akses tafsir, namun bersamaan dengan itu menormalisasi penafsiran dangkal yang mengurangi kedalaman kontekstual dan metodologis. Penerimaan publik cenderung bergeser dari integritas substansi ke efektivitas komunikasi serta popularitas. Kesimpulannya, diperlukan respons strategis melalui pedoman, regulasi, dan/atau sertifikasi konten untuk menjaga moderasi beragama dan validitas keilmuan tafsir di ruang digital.

Abstract

The Effect of Wordwall Media on Student Learning Outcomes in Indonesian Language Learning in Grade X of SMU 9 Muhammadiyah Makassar. Thesis. Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program This study aims to determine the effect of using wordwall media on student learning outcomes in Indonesian language learning in grade X of SMU 9 Muhammadiyah Makassar. The research method used was a quasi-experimental one because the subjects of this study were students, where they were not allowed to be differentiated from one another, such as receiving treatment because they were treated as a control group. This type of research has a control group but does not fully function to control external variables that influence the implementation of the experiment. The results of the research on the use of wordwall media involved a series of presentations of learning materials that began with an open explanation, followed by opportunities for students to solve problems contained in the media, and ended with the delivery of all materials to students. The results of the study showed that the Indonesian language learning outcomes in the control group averaged 78.82, and after implementing conventional Indonesian language learning, the posttest score was 65.00. The experimental group, before implementing wordwall media, had an average pretest score of 66.36. Meanwhile, the posttest score increased to 80.00. The results of the t-test analysis on the effect of wordwall media use on Indonesian language learning outcomes in grade 10 of SMU 9 Muhammadiyah Makassar showed a good significance value, namely the effect of wordwall media on Indonesian language learning outcomes (sig = 0.003) is smaller than the predetermined alpha value of 0.05 (0.003 ≤ 0.05). Based on the results, it can be concluded that H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted, stating that wordwall media has an effect on Indonesian language learning outcomes in grade 10 of SMU 9 Muhammadiyah Makassar.
