Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between material structure and thermal properties of biomass briquettes and their implications for combustion efficiency using a bibliometric approach. Data were collected from Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar databases covering publications from 2015 to 2025. The analysis was conducted using VOSviewer and Bibliometrix to identify research trends, keyword network maps, thematic maps, and contributions by authors and countries. The results indicate a consistent increase in publication trends, with a primary focus on thermal parameters such as calorific value and combustion efficiency. However, structural variables such as density and porosity remain insufficiently explored in an integrated manner. The thematic map further reveals a research gap in linking microstructural characteristics with thermal properties. Overall, this study highlights the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to optimize biomass briquette design as an efficient and sustainable alternative energy source.

Abstract

This study aims to redesign the layout of the delivery warehouse for four-wheeled vehicle carpet products at PT Kotobukiya Indo Classic Industries (KICI) using the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) approach. The main problems identified include the accumulation of goods in the over part area, inefficient material flow, and limited warehouse capacity, which impact delivery delays. The research method was conducted through direct observation, collection of inflow–outflow data of parts, and analysis of activity relationships using relationship diagrams. The results indicate that the existing warehouse capacity is unable to accommodate the production volume of major customers such as (TMMIN), with inflow reaching 4,171 units per month for certain parts. The SLP-based layout redesign resulted in a new warehouse configuration with shorter forklift movement paths, more systematic space arrangement, and more consistent implementation of the FIFO system. The findings conclude that the application of SLP can improve material flow efficiency, reduce handling time, and increase the effective warehouse capacity.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the effect of OHS implementation on project costs in the construction of the Faculty of Humanities Building at Universitas Airlangga Campus B Surabaya. The method used is Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Determining Control (HIRADC) to identify potential hazards and levels of work risk. Data were obtained through questionnaires and project documents related to the implementation of OHS procedures and project costs. The results show that the three highest identified risks are the risk of falling from height with a risk value of 12 (high category), the risk of being struck by materials with a risk value of 10 (high category), and the risk of electric shock with a risk value of 9 (medium category). After the implementation of risk control measures such as the use of personal protective equipment, installation of safety devices, and increased supervision, the risk level decreased by 33% from the initial condition. This indicates that the implementation of OHS is not only effective in improving work safety, but also contributes positively to risk control in construction projects.

Abstract

Plastic waste has become an urgent global issue. The volume of plastic waste increases every year, making Indonesia one of the world’s largest contributors to plastic waste. On the other hand, Indonesia faces challenges with highway pavement that is affected by weather conditions such as rainfall, as well as vehicle loads. This study aims to analyze the effect of asphalt content on porous asphalt mixtures. The method used in this study was trial and error, beginning with testing of materials including aggregates, PG 70 asphalt, and fillers, all in accordance with the 2018 Revision 2 specifications of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing. The study continued with an evaluation of the Marshall stability, Cantabro loss, and asphalt flow-down parameters with asphalt content variations of 4%, 4.5%, 5%, 5.5%, and 6%. The results showed that all percentages met the requirements (>500 kg), with the 6% asphalt content exhibiting the highest Marshall stability value. The Cantabro loss results met the requirements (<35%) at asphalt contents of 4.5%–6%. Meanwhile, the AFD met the requirements (<0.3%) at all percentages; however, as the asphalt content increased, the AFD value also increased.

Abstract

Earthquakes have the potential to cause significant damage to multi-story buildings; therefore, structural systems that can improve seismic performance are required. This study aims to compare the structural response of a 10-story office building in Surabaya using fixed base, shear wall, and base isolation systems with High Damping Rubber Bearing (HDRB). The analysis was conducted using ETABS software in accordance with SNI 1726:2019, considering parameters such as inter-story drift, base shear, structural period, and P-Delta effects. The results indicate that the shear wall system provides the highest stiffness, while the HDRB system significantly increases the structural period and reduces inter-story drift in the upper structure. Although it results in larger deformation at the base, the HDRB system still meets the performance criteria and is recommended for buildings in seismic-prone areas.

Abstract

Warung Ayam Kalijaga, located in Bontang Utara, is facing declining sales due to an increase in competitors in the fast food industry, with current daily sales ranging from 10 to 15 chickens, compared to 20 to 25 in previous years. The promotional strategies rely heavily on word-of-mouth marketing, which is less effective for reaching a broader market. Therefore, it is necessary to design a marketing strategy based on SWOT analysis and the AHP method. The analysis results indicate an IFE Matrix score of 2.697 and an EFE Matrix score of 2.679, with the Warung positioned in quadrant V, recommending a "Hold and Maintain" strategy. Proposed strategies include market penetration and product development, with the primary focus on social media marketing, followed by optimizing production processes and efficient supply chain management.

Abstract

Contamination of slurry material in the production process can reduce product quality and increase the risk of defects. This study aims to identify the causes of contamination and determine improvement priorities using Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Fishbone Diagram, and 5W+1H analysis. Data were collected through field observations, interviews with production leaders, and company documentation. The results show that the main causes of contamination come from human, method, machine, material, and environmental factors. Based on FMEA analysis, the highest Risk Priority Number (RPN) is found in equipment cleanliness and inconsistent work procedures. Improvement recommendations focus on enhancing standard operating procedures (SOP), operator training, and production environment control. The implementation of improvements is expected to significantly reduce contamination risks.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and evaluate the computer network infrastructure at SMA Negeri 3 Tasikmalaya, which highly depends on an internet connection for school operational activities, such as Dapodik, Computer Based Test (CBT) exams, and e-Raport. Although the school has implemented a dual ISP architecture, allocating the Indibiz line for Administration and a 100 Mbps iForte line for teachers and students, users frequently experience network performance degradation or bottlenecks during peak hours. Furthermore, wireless signal coverage currently reaches only 60%, resulting in the emergence of blank spot areas. Network performance evaluation was conducted using Quality of Service (QoS) parameters based on TIPHON standards. The analysis results indicate that during peak hours, the throughput value falls into the "Poor" category due to the absence of an adaptive bandwidth management system to handle hundreds of users. Issues regarding physical device stacking and security vulnerabilities resulting from a malware attack incident on the virtual server were also discovered. This study recommends implementing bandwidth management using the Per Connection Queue (PCQ) method on Mikrotik, restructuring and adding Access Points, as well as enhancing active network security and monitoring systems.
