Abstract

PT XYZ is a company engaged in the concrete manufacturing industry. Concrete production at PT XYZ affects the inventory of constituent materials needed in making concrete. The problem of PT XYZ, there is an overstock of basic materials, because there is a gap between the amount of basic material inventory and demand. So, it is necessary to propose an inventory policy to minimize overstock. The problem-solving method used in this research is ABC Analysis to determine the classification of each material and the new vendor model to determine the amount of material inventory. Based on calculations using ABC analysis, material classification is obtained based on three categories, category A one type of material, category B two types of material, and category C four types of material. Calculations using the newsvendor model obtained a decrease in total inventory costs by 10.8% and the amount of material inventory by 20.4%.

Abstract

This research conducts a techno-economic analysis of a green hydrogen system in Lombok, Indonesia, using a MATLAB Simulink-based simulation model. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the long-term economic feasibility of a green hydrogen project through the analysis of key financial parameters such as Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and the break-even point. The model simulation results show that the production output of green hydrogen is 121,391 kg, and the project generates a Net Present Value (NPV) of $1,205,031.1 over a 25-year operational period. The Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of the project reaches 11.9%, indicating that the project has a promising profit potential. Additionally, the break-even point is achieved in the 8th year, meaning that the initial investment can be recouped by that time. These findings provide an initial overview of the economic prospects of green hydrogen development in Lombok and demonstrate the potential of green energy in supporting the energy transition in Indonesia. This study also offers guidance for policymakers and investors in making strategic decisions related to investments in renewable energy technology.

Abstract

Human resources are one of the resources in the form of humans based on energy or thoughts that are used to develop a better company in the future. If the human resources used are less skilled or less good, it will greatly affect the products or work results provided. This is felt by a manufacturing company in the furniture sector, namely PT. Omega Mas. In order to understand the level of employee performance produced, PT. Omega Mas needs to conduct an employee performance assessment. In this employee performance assessment, the rating scale method with AHP is used. While in collecting data using questionnaires and brainstorming. The results obtained were that there were 5 employee performance assessment criteria with each criterion having 3 sub-criteria. These criteria are self-maturity, work attitude, cooperation, discipline, and Work Results. In the weight of employee performance assessment, the dominant one is Work Quantity with a weight value of 0.311. In the performance results, there were 6 employees who had very good scores, 47 employees had good scores, and 80 other employees had sufficient scores.

Abstract

The traffic on the Makassar City Boulevard Road segment operates using a two-way system, with a significant volume of vehicles and frequent obstacles on the sides. It arises as a result of the presence of commercial zones, encompassing trade and service establishments such as offices, banks, stores, restaurants, hotels, and shopping centers, where transactions between sellers and purchasers take place. Hence, this study was carried out to investigate the influence of side barriers obstructions on the performance of the Makassar City Boulevard Road segment utilizing the MKJI 1997 methodology. The analysis reveals that the highest frequency of side barriers on the section of Jalan Boulevard Makassar City occurs on Thursdays at point 2 (in front of Jims Honey Store), with a rate of 592 pcu/h or 4.10% of the total number of side barrier events at that location, which is 14450 pcu/h. These side barriers are classified as high class (H) and are predominantly found in commercial areas with high roadside activity. Thus, it has been demonstrated that side barriers have a notable influence on the performance of the Makassar City Boulevard Road portion, leading to a fall in speed and capacity, as well as a decline in service quality standards.

Abstract

The Central Sulawesi – Lamonae – Landawe border section is designated as a national route that links the Southeast Sulawesi region with Central Sulawesi, specifically the mining industrial district of Morowali City. This route facilitates not only community mobilization but also the transportation of heavy mining equipment. Daily, the road endures heavy vehicle traffic carrying logistics, which increases the volume and load on this route, leading to pavement layer damage and a decline in service quality. This study aims to analyze the road surface conditions and determine the appropriate handling program using the Surface Distress Index (SDI) and International Roughness Index (IRI) methods, spanning from STA 0+000 to STA 5+500 over a segment length of 5.5 km. Subsequently, it plans the pavement layer thickness design for segments with severe surface damage using the 2017 Pavement Design Manual. The study results indicate that, according to the SDI method, 47% of the road is in good condition, 24% in moderate condition, 16% in minor damage, and 13% in severe damage. According to the IRI method, 27% of the road is in good condition, 49% in moderate condition, 15% in minor damage, and 9% in severe damage. Based on SDI and IRI values, a handling program comprising routine maintenance, periodic maintenance, and reconstruction is established. The pavement layer thickness calculation, based on the 2017 Pavement Design Manual, recommends asphalt pavement with granular base layers, comprising AC WC with a thickness of 40 mm, AC BC with 60 mm, AC Base with 80 mm, and Class A Granular Base with a thickness of 300 mm, along with subgrade improvement with a planned thickness of 200 mm.

Abstract

Pumps play an important role in moving fluids from one place to another. In this study, the Ebara 125 x 100 FS4KA centrifugal pump was used. The thing that made the author interested in conducting this research was the reduction in the performance of the centrifugal pump to circulate water from the training pool to the holding tank and back to the pool. The aim of this was to determine the factors causing the decline in the performance of the centrifugal pump. The method used is observation through data collection and data processing, data obtained from the field, namely wear and tear on the impeller diameter, which greatly influences pump performance. Before the pump was repaired with an impeller diameter of 245 mm, the pump capacity was 78 m3/hour, the pump hydraulic power was 5.8 Kw, the pump head was 27.4 m, the pump efficiency was 43.20%, and the fluid speed was 1,014 m/sec. After repairing the Ebara 125 x 100 FS4KA centrifugal pump by replacing the impeller size by 250 mm, the performance of the Ebara 125 x 100 FS4KA centrifugal pump increased by 80 m3/hour, pump hydraulic power 6.04 KW, pump head 28 m, pump efficiency of 45.24%, and fluid velocity of 1,032 m/sec.
