Abstract

Sabang area is part of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) territory, which passed by shipping lines in the Strait of Malacca. Geographic layout of the strategic area, so it is considered a potential to be developed into a maritime area. In the year of 2000, Sabang set to be a free trade area and free port. But until now, this region did not show significant development. In this paper, Sabang area will be assessed the potential and direction of development using the method of TOWS and two step AHP. The direction of development constructed by logistics support concept and simulated using the method of dynamical systems to get the model of the system. The results obtained that Sabang area is potential for development. Simulation of dynamical systems models provides scenarios in anticipation of situations that may happen in the future by increase tank investment and fuel supply so can fulfill fuel needs. In addition, there are a several trickle effects of this system such as the improvement of region economics, the development of docking facilities and service and awareness of regional security.

Abstract

In the past, Indonesia wielded a significant influence over the Southeast Asia region and beyond, particularly through the Srivijaya Kingdom and later Majapahit's maritime prowess. Indonesia's natural affinity for maritime culture predates its very conception and is evident in the vast territorial waters surrounding almost all of its provinces. This unique geographical aspect makes Indonesia an archipelagic state with a maritime tradition. To support Indonesia's maritime defense, it is crucial to promote the prosperity of its maritime affairs. The country's national defense strategy takes into account its archipelagic nature. Maritime culture is a key aspect of the five pillars that drive Indonesia towards becoming a World Maritime Fulcrum. This policy point recognizes that a robust maritime culture is fundamental to the formation of Indonesia's maritime defense. Strong maritime culture begets a robust maritime defense, highlighting the interdependence of these two critical components. Keywords: maritime culture, maritime defense, maritime power, world maritime fulcrum

Abstract

The environment is a place for human growth and development including the growth and development of each child, such as patterns of social interaction, culture and customs, and habits in an area affect the growth and development of children such as instincts, habits, and acquired behavior. The surrounding environment is something that can affect students through phenomena (events, situations, or conditions) physical or social factors that affect the development of the students themselves who are located around the place where they live and can feel and see the events, circumstances or conditions around them. Utilization of environmental learning resources in IPS can be done by way of surveys, camping, field trips, project-based and scientific observing to direct exploration. The advantage gained in using environmental learning resources in IPS is that learning is more interesting and not boring for students, so that student motivation will be higher, the learning process will be more meaningful, and directly introduce the environment around the place of residence and the school environment.
