The method used is quantitative research with cross-sectional design involving 108 respondents. The respondents were selected by a simple random sampling technique. Data in this study were collected using GPAQ for physical activity variables, Brinkman index questionnaire for smoking variables, and Harvard step test for cardiovascular endurance variables. Meanwhile, Spearman rank test was used in the data analysis. The research shows that the characteristics of respondents were dominated by male (64.8%) within 36-45 years old age range group (52.8%). In addition, most of the respondents were non-smoker category (62.0%), had a high level of physical activity (52.8%), and a very good level of cardiovascular endurance (27.8%). Bivariate analysis shows that there is a significant relationship between physical activity (p-value = 0.005) and smoking behavior (p-value = 0.047) on cardiovascular endurance among farmers in Pandan Wangi Village. There is a significant relationship between physical activity and smoking habits on cardiovascular endurance among farmers in Pandan Wangi Village.

Abstract

Various factors can affect the number of referrals and the quality of referrals. This increase in referral rate can be an indication that the implementation of the referral system has not gone well. These indicators can be divided into indicators from the midwife's side, namely education and length of work, and indicators from the family in the form of support provided and speed of decision making. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of midwife education, midwives' tenure, and family support on referral success. This study is a type of intervention research with a cross sectional design. The location used for this study is at the Cikande Health Center in November-December 2023. The samples used in this study, using total sampling with samples were 30 obstetric referral cases. The data was collected by questionnaire. The independent variables were midwives' education, midwives' length of service, and family support. The dependent variable is referral success. The test used is the Chi Square test. The results of p value 0.007 < 0.05 which indicate that education has a significant relationship with referral success, p value 0.023 < 0.05 which indicates that midwives' tenure has a significant relationship with referral success, and p value 0.001 < 0.05 which indicates that the support provided by family has a very significant relationship with referral success.

Abstract

Preeclampsia is the onset of high blood pressure accompanied by proteinuria and edema in pregnancy after 20 weeks of gestation or after the postpartum period. Obesity has been widely studied as a risk factor for preeclampsia. This study aims to estimate and analyze the impact of obesity on the incidence of preeclampsia in pregnant women. This research is a systematic review and meta-analysis research using the PRISMA diagram and using 4 articles from 2015 to 2020. Article searches were carried out based on the PICO Model eligibility criteria. P= Pregnant women; I=Obesity; C= Not obese; O= Preeclampsia. The articles used come from 1 database, namely: Google Scholar. With keywords including "Obesity" AND "Preeclampsia" AND "Pregnant Women" AND "Cross Sectional".Articles were analyzed using the PRISMA diagram and the Review Manager 5.3 application. 4 articles with a cross-sectional study design will be used as a source for meta-analysis influence of obesity on the incidence of preeclampsia in pregnant women. Shows that obesity increases the possibility of preeclampsia in pregnant women. Obese pregnant women have an increased risk of preeclampsia by 2.04 times compared to non-obese pregnant women (aOR= 2.04; 95% CI= 1.90 to 2.19; p=0.001), and the results are statistically significant. Meta-analysis of 4 cross-sectional studies concluded that obesity in pregnant women increases the occurrence of preeclampsia.

Abstract

Sectio cesarea is a surgical procedure to deliver a fetus with an incision on the abdominal wall and uterine wall of the mother. Spinal anesthesia in SC can cause shivering. The risk of shivering can occur due to the length of surgery. Objective: To determine the relationship between the length of surgery and the incidence of shivering in SC patients. Methods: This research design uses a correlation with a cross-sectional approach. Sampling technique with Purpose sampling of 115 patients who performed spinal anesthesia on SC patients. The research instrument contains patient data, which includes age, length of surgery, and incidence of shivering. This study used an observation sheet to measure the incidence of shivering in patients undergoing cesarean section, and the results of the data were analyzed using the chi-square test. Results: Most respondents were 21-35 years old (81.7%), the majority of the duration of surgery was less than 60 minutes with 67 patients (58.3%), and the incidence of shivering was 62 patients (53.9%). Conclusion: There is a relationship between the length of surgery and the occurrence of shivering in cesarean section patients who use spinal anesthesia at Efarina Etaham Berastagi Hospital with a p-value of 0.008 (<0.05).

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is caused by metabolic disorders characterized by increased blood glucose levels due to insulin secretion. Complications of peripheral arterial DM cause decreased blood flow to the lower extremities, marked by a decrease in ABI. Non-pharmacological therapy requires diabetes exercises and NMT to prevent injury to the feet due to changes in peripheral blood circulation. Objective: research to determine the effect of diabetic foot exercises and NMT on ABI in Type 2 DM patients. Method: Quantitative design, quasi-experimental method, pre-test post-test control group design, sampling technique using purposive sampling. Observations assessed the ABI score before the diabetes exercise intervention in intervention 1 and intervention 2 NMT, and group 3 control. Results: Data analysis using paired tests on ABI in 3 groups showed that in group I the foot exercise intervention resulted in p. 0.001 means there is a change in results before and after the intervention. Likewise, in group II of the NMT intervention, the result was p 0.001, there was a change in results before and after the intervention. Conclusion: Research proves that diabetes foot exercise and NMT interventions can improve ABI values in Type 2 DM patients.
