Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the dose of husk ash and concentration of POC Nasa leaf fertilizer on the growth and yield of celery plants. This research has been carried out from August 2021 to November 2021, in Karangasem Village, Kel. Sraten, Kac. Gatak, Kab. Sukoharjo with an altitude of 129 m above sea level. This study used the factorial method with a completely randomized design (CRD) pattern consisting of two treatment factors. The treatment factor was the administration of husk ash dose A (A? = without husk ash, A? = 40 grams, A? = 50 grams). Concentration of foliar fertilizer POC Nasa P (P? = without POC Nasa, P? = 2 cc/ltr, P? = 3 cc/ltr). The data obtained were analyzed with 5% variance if it had a significant effect, then it was continued with the 5% DMRT test. The results showed that the administration of a combination treatment of husk ash dose and concentration of POC Nasa (AxP) leaf fertilizer was significantly different to the number of leaves per strand. The treatments of various doses of husk ash were not significantly different to the six observation parameters and the concentration treatment of POC Nasa leaf fertilizer was not significantly different to the six observation parameters. The highest number of plant leaves 78 g was obtained in the combination of A?P? (husk ash 50 g and concentration of POC Nasa leaf fertilizer 2cc/?). The lowest number of plant leaves 22 g was obtained in the combination of A?P? (Husk Ash 50 g and concentration of POC Nasa Leaf Fertilizer 3cc/?).

Abstract

Various efforts have been made to eliminate or at least reduce the negative impact of chemical pesticides that are currently widely used. One of these efforts is to use other effective control alternatives, such as bio-pesticides/botanical pesticides. Eucalyptus citriodora essential oil was previously better known in traditional medicine. However, many studies have shown that this essential oil has much potential to be used as a biopesticide. This article reviews the biopesticide potential of E. citriodora essential oil, including its herbicidal, bactericidal, fungicidal, nematicidal, insect-repellent, and insecticidal activities. E. citriodora oil contains citronellal, citronellol, 1,8-cineole, isopulegol, ?-pinene, and citronellyl acetate. Citronellal and citronellol are one of the main toxins in E. citriodora essential oil. However, this review shows that the oil has a broad spectrum of biological activity, making it a simple and environmentally friendly pesticide.

Abstract

Onion farmers in Tawangmangu are currently experiencing difficulties due to changes in rainfall. As a result, they are planting garlic and then intercropping with shallots. This decision will have a direct impact on farmers' income. This study aims to determine the effect of farmers' decisions in intercropping garlic with shallots on farmers' income in the Tawangmangu District. This research was conducted in Tawangmangu District with a simple random sampling method to determine the sample size of 49 respondents. The method of data analysis used a two-stage least square. The decision to intercrop shallot and garlic does not affect farmers' income. The age of the farmer influences the decision to do intercropping. A farmer's income is influenced by land area and the use of Phonska fertilizer. To increase farmers' income, using fertilizers with similar elements must be paid more attention to when fertilizing plants.

Abstract

Tilapia was one of the freshwater fish commodities that were widely consumed, so the demand for tilapia increased and impacted the high price of tilapia feed. Therefore, maggots can be used as additional fish feed, and recently there have been many variations of pond types in tilapia farming. This study aimed to determine the interaction between pond types and maggot allotments for protein and fat in tilapia meat. This study used two types of pools: tarpaulin and drum. The subjects used in this study were tilapia, with as many as 30 fish per pond. The dependent variables in this study were the protein and fat of tilapia meat. This study used the factorial method with a completely randomized design (RAL) with four treatments; each of the four tests consisted of A1B1 (Tarpaulin pool and maggots), A1B2 (Tarpaulin pool without maggots), A2B1 (Drum pool and maggots), and A2B2 (Drum pool without maggots). Data analysis was done using ANOVA with a significance level of 5% if there is an effect continued Duncan test. The results of this study showed no noticeable effect on meat protein (0.253>0.05) and meat fat (0.067>0.05) tilapia.
