Abstract

The research has conducted antimicrobial activity assay and identification of sapodilla fruit extract manila (Achras zapota L.) against some pathogenic microbes with agar diffusion method. Manila sapodilla fruit extraction by maceration method by using the solvent ethyl acetate and ethanol 70%. Manila sapodilla fruit has tested by screening extract at a concentration of 1% on the test bacteria which is namely Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermis, Streptococcus mutans, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella thyposa, Vibrio sp, Bacillus subtillis, and the fungus is Candida albicans. Furthermore, the inhibition has tested by using the agar diffusion method (paper disc) at a concentratied of 1500ppm, 1000ppm, 500ppm, and 100ppm  against screening test results of bacteria. Furthermore, identification of classes of compounds sapodilla fruit of extract phytochemicals by used screening manila methods qualitative.Screening results showed that the antimicrobial activity of the ethanol extract manila sapodilla fruit can inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermis, Streptococcus mutans, and Salmonella thyposa. Inhibition test using the agar diffusion method, shows that more the concentration used, more the diameter of the resulting barriers. The results of the identification of sapodilla fruit ethanol extract showed a class of compounds manila tannins, flavonoids, and terpenoids.

Abstract

Aktivitas masyarakat yang kekurangan gerak dalam waktu lama akan memiliki peluang lebih besar mengalami penyakit hipokinetik, yang berdampak terhadap munculnya penyakit degeneratif seperti tekanan darah tinggi. Hal ini menjadikan peneliti ingin mengetahui cara mengontrol tekanan darah dalam tubuh. Senam zumba  merupakan salah satu upaya untuk mengontrol tekanan darah sekaligus untuk mencapai tingkat kesegaran jasmani yang baik serta dapat meningkatkan kemampuan fungsional. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatanPreexperimental Design dengan menggunakan rancanganpretest-posttest one group design. Dalam desain ini  satu kelompok objekdiukur sesudah mendapat perlakuan dengan senam zumba pada hari pertama dan pada hari kesembilan dengan membandigkan dengan pengukuran sebelum perlakuan.Data diolah denganmenggunakan program komputer SPSS release 18.0 for Windows.Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah diketahui adanya efektivitas senam zumba terhadap terkontrolnya tekanan darah pada penduduk kelurahan Romang Polong.Dari uji WilcoxonSigned Ranks Testdiketahui bahwa senam zumbaber­pengaruh secara signifikan terhadap terkontrolnya tekanan darah sistol dan diastol karena nilai p value sistole 0.016 < (0.05) dan nilai p value diastole 0.014< (0.05).Terjadi perubahan terhadap tekanan darah sistol maupun diastol setelah perlakuan.Pada tekanan darah sistol, responden terbanyak sebelum perlakuan yaitu tidak terkontrol sebesar 70% kemudian setelah perlakuan responden terbanyak yaitu terkontrol sebesar 60%.Begitu pula dengan diastol, sebelum perlakuan jumlah responden terbanyak tidak terkontrol sebesar 90% kemudian setelah perlakuan terbanyak yaitu terkontrol sebesar 50%. Senam zumba secara teratur selama 3 minggu dengan frekuensi 9 kali pada penduduk kelurahan Romang Polong Kecamatan Somba Opu Kabupaten Gowa menyebabkan terkontrolnya tekanan darah yang bermakna.Sehingga diharapkan kepada pelayanan kesehatan dapat menjadikan senam zumba sebagai salah satu intervensi dalam menangani dan mencegah terjadinnya hipertensi.

Abstract

Biosintesis nanopartikel menjadi tema kajian menarik dalam beberapa tahu terakhir. Dengan masalah krisis energi, pencemaran lingkungan yang menjulang tinggi menjadi kendala yang menjadi sangat rentan bagi negara berkembang. kebutuhan untuk memberikan solusi kimia secara non konvensional merupakan alternatif pertimbangan serius untuk dikembangkan. Nanosains telah menjadi bidang yang tepat dalam dimensi ini karena membuka pintu ke beberapa peluang melalui memungkinkan sejumlah bahan kimia, biokimia, dan transformasi biofisik secara signifikan lebih mudah dan dapat diandalkan. Abstract

Anak Dara (Croton oblongusBurm f.) merupakan tanaman asli Indonesia. Telah dilakukan penelitian Uji Aktivitas Penghambatan Fraksi Non Polar Ekstrak Klika Anak Dara (Croton oblongusBurm f.) terhadap Sel Kanker HeLa dengan tujuan untuk menentukan aktivitas penghambatan fraksi non polar ekstrak Klika Anak Dara (Croton oblongusBurm f.) terhadap sel kanker HeLa dengan metode MTT. Fraksi non polar ekstrak klika anak dara (Croton oblongus Burm f.)diperolehfraksi A, B dan C, dibuatdengankonsentasi 1000 ppm; 500 ppm; 250 ppm; 125 ppm; 62,5 ppm; 31,25 ppm; dan 15,625 ppm, sertadigunakankontrolseldankontrol MTT. Abstract

A research of quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR), molecular docking, searching pharmacophore, virtual screening, toxicity test, and Pharmacokinetic Profile of 4-Aminoquinoline Pyrimidine Derivative Compounds as Plasmepsin enzyme inhibitor as Antimalarial by in silico has been conducted. This study aims to find the QSAR model equation of 4-Aminoquinoline Pyrimidine derivative compounds,  to find pharmacophore features of compounds that responsible for inhibition activity of Plasmepsin enzyme in Plasmodium falciparum, as well as to select compounds from virtual screening results then determine the pharmacocinetic profile, and the toxicity of metabolites for malaria treatment. The procedure begins with the modelling and ab initio geometry optimization of the molecular structure by HyperChem 8.0. QSAR descriptors calculation, pharmacophore feature determination and molecular docking are done by using MOE 2009. Furthermore, toxicity testing by Toxtree and AdmetSAR, as well as pharmacokinetic profile determination by using PreADME done to 150.000 natural product compounds from zinc database. From the experiments, the equation obtained: 1/IC50 = 5.3757 + (0.7514 AM1_HOMO) + (-0.3100 log P (o/w)) + (0.0065 vdw_vol), where r2 = 0.9282 dan q2 = 0.9282, beside that molecular docking results for protein code 2IGX compound 13 showed better results with the value of docking score (S) is -129.7491.  As for the compounds of zinc database, the result is a compound with code ZINC32501354 and ZINC32501366 are choosen compound among 150.000 compounds in terms of suitability of the pharmacophore query, docking by pharmacophore method, bioavailability prediction using Lipinski rule of five and from the prediction of ADME/T

Abstract

The anticancer activity of the extract kopasanda leaf against leukemia cells L1210. Simplicial kopasanda leaves extracted by maceration terraced with solvent n-heksan, etil asetat, etanol, and water. Test antiproliferative activity against leukemia cells L1210 to the extract in an instant four vitro indicate that IC50 extract respectively 9,2982 μg/mL (etil asetat), 11,3397 μg/mL air, 13,6176 μg/mL (etanol), and 14,1645 μg/mL (n-heksan).

Abstract

Researched about the study of the ability of pregelatinized avocado seeds (Persea americana Mill) starch as disintegrant by direct compression of paracetamol tablets formulation.This Research suppose to know about the ability of pregelatinized avocado seeds starch as disintegrant and optimum concentration of pregelatinized avocado seeds starch as disintegrant on direct compression fulfill the qualification good tablets.Pregelatinized starch produced by heating in its gelatinated temperature, next dried and standardized its measure. Then, evaluated according to granul evaluation. Mixing the mass of tablets, Three formulas were made by disintegrants concentration different (pregelatinized avocado seeds starch) FI 5%, FII 10% dan FIII 15%. Next, evaluated. Tablets compressed by direct compression method and evaluated.The evaluation results pregelatinized avocado seeds starch regularly have particle size 231,3μm, angel of repose 22,76o, fluidity 7,40/det, density true 1,21g/ml, density bulk 0,68 g/ml, density tapped 0,72 g/ml, porosity 40,84 %, compressibility index 3,77%, hausner’s ratio 1,03 and LOD 0,39%. The result show that pregelatinized avocado seeds starch have a good compressibility and fluidity. Result test for tablets show all formulas fulfill the qualification the tablets size uniformity, FII dan FIII fulfill the qualification at the weights uniformity, its hardness regulary 4,51 kg; 6,39 kg; 4,23 kg, friability 1,4%; 0,07%, and 1,50% and disintegration time 0,27 minute; 0,44 minute and 0,04 minute.From this result can be concluded that the pregelatinized avocado seeds starch can be used as a disintegrant on direct compression and the optimum concentration on direct compression pregelatinized avocado seeds of the produce tablets fulfill the qualification a good tablets is FII (10%).

Abstract

Have been conducted a research examining the effect of ethanol extract of leaves kejibeling (Strobilanthes Crispus Linn) to degrade blood glucose level to male mice (Mus musculus). This aim of this research to find out the effect and to decide concentration of ethanol extract of leaves kejibeling can be used to degradation blood glucose level to male mice which induce by glucose 20 %. This research uses 15 male mice which devide by 5 group in treatment, where each experiment consist of 3 tail. Group of I was given Na CMC 1 % as negative control, group II, III, and IV were given of ethanol extract of leaves kejibeling with concentration 7,35 mg/ g BW, 14,7 mg/ g BW and 29,4 mg/ g BW and group V was given metformin 1,95 mg/ g BB mice as positive control. The result of the research was examined statistically by using method Group Random Design and continued Duncan test showed that effect of ethanol extract of leaves kejibeling with concentration 14,7 mg/ g BB do not differ reality was given metformin 1,95 mg/ g BB male mice, can degrade the rate of blood glucose.

Abstract

Vegetable fern leaf (Diplazium esculentumSwartz) is kind of plant that can inhibit Salmonella typhi growth. The study aimed to determine the effect of vegetable fern leaf ethanolic extract on male mice that had been infected by Salmonella typhi bacteria. Vegetable fern leaf powder was macerated with  95% ethanol and was evaporated with vacum rotary evaporator. Dosage variation of vegetable fern leaf ethanolic extract on male mice were (100; 200; 300; 400 and 500 mg/kgbb). Blood of male mice veins was cultured on agar media and  counted bacterial colonies that were formed. Study result showed increasing of vegetable fern leaf ethanolic extract could decrease the colony of Salmonella typhi that infected in male mice. Vegetable fern leaf ethanolic extract with 500 mg/kgbb could decrease 6,21% of Salmonella typhi in male mice. vegetable fern leaf ethanolic extract with dosage variation not significantly  decrease the amount of bacteria colonies in mice. Compound identification by thin layer chromatography (TLC) showed vegetable fern leaf ethanolic extract contained of  flavonoids, saponins, alkaloids, tanins and terpenoids.

Abstract

Currently, among the many new types of modern medicine in the market there is a global tendency for going back to nature. In Indonesia, for generations plants that have medicinal properties have been used based on the ancestors experience. One of the plants oftenly used as a medicine is pennywort (Centella asiatica (L) Urban). One of the major component of pennywort is asiatikoside which has activity to accelerate wound healing. The objective of this study was to compare the extraction method that produce the highest levels of asiatikoside in 70% ethanol extract of pennywort. The extraction method were maceration and sonication in ethanol 70%. Qualitative analysis of asiatikoside was performed by thin layer chromatography (TLC) producing purplish stains after being soaked in anisaldehid sulfuric acid solution and observed under UV lamp at 366 nm. The results showed at the Rf values 0.45 in maceration and 0.43 in sonication. Quantitative analysis for assay asiatikosida using LC-MS/MS. Before quantitative analysis, validation method needs to be done. Results of the validation are: the linearity have correlation coefficient (R2) of 0.9989, LOD and LOQ at 0.06 ppm and 0.19 ppm, accuracy value (% recovery) between 98.02%-107.49%, precision value (% Coefficient of Variation) between 0.32%-3.31%, and selectivity (Retention Time) between 3.44-3.49. Asiatikoside assay results in maceration extract at 7.19% and sonication at 7.43%. The results of the validation are eligible, so that asiatikoside level were obtained by LC-MS/MS declared accurate, specific, and precise.
