Abstract

Ekstraksi merupakan proses pemisahan bahan dari campurannya dengan menggunakan pelarut yang sesuai. Proses ekstraksi dihentikan ketika tercapai kesetimbangan antara konsentrasi senyawa dalam pelarut dengan konsentrasi dalam sel tanaman. Setelah proses ekstraksi, pelarut dipisahkan dari sampel dengan penyaringan. Ekstrak awal sulit dipisahkan melalui teknik pemisahan tunggal untuk mengisolasi senyawa tunggal. Oleh karena itu, ekstrak awal perlu dipisahkan ke dalam fraksi yang memiliki polaritas dan ukuran molekul yang sama.Identifikasi golongan senyawa dilakukan dengan uji warna, penentuan kelarutan, bilangan Rf dan ciri spectrum UV. Identifikasi yang paling penting dan digunakan secara luas ialah pengukuran spektrum serapan dengan menggunakan spektrofotometer.Kata Kunci  : Ekstraksi, Identifikasi Senyawa

Abstract

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian Identifikasi dan Uji Aktivitas Bakteri Asam Laktat Usus Ayam Gallus Domesticus Terhadap Bakteri Patogen” penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan aktivitas antibakteri dari isolat bakteri asam laktat. Diperoleh 8 isolat dan Isolat  A1, A2, A3, A5, A6, A8 merupakan bakteri gram positif. Sedangkan isolat A4 dan A7 merupakan bakteri gram negatif. Isolat sel yang berbentuk bulat  A1 dan A2 dan berbentuk batang  A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, dan A8. Pertumbuhan isolat pada pH 2,5 – 3 dan pada suhu suhu 15 °C, 37 °C, dan 45 °C. Uji biokimia untuk 8 isolat menunjukkan sifat nonmotil dan mampu mampu memfermentasi karbohidrat pada medium TSIA, sedangkan untuk fermentasi sukrosa dan laktosa hanya dapat dilakukan isolat isolat A1, A2, A4, A7 dan A8 yang menunjukkan warna merah pada medium TSIA. Isolat A3, A5, dan A6 dapat memfermentasi glukosa, sukrosa, dan laktosa menunjukkan hasil warna kuning pada medium. Semua isolat menunjukkan hasil positif terlihat pada uji MR sedangkan hasil negatif pada uji. Hasil uji katalase negatif pada isolat A2, A3, A4, A7, Sedangkan hasil positif isolat A1, A5, A6, A8. Uji aktivitas antibakteri menunjukkan semua isolat memberikan hasil yang positif.

Abstract

The Ficus plant is made up of roughly hundreds of species that are scattered across South, Southeast Asia, and there are 76 types of Ficus plants in Indonesia. Ficus is a plant that is widely used for the prevention of various diseases. Several recent studies have shown that the Ficus plant also has antioxidant activity. This work has described the antioxidant potential of the Ficus plant. Overall, these data suggest that Ficus wood can be suggested as as cosmetic ingredient. The bibliographic survey was conducted from January 2016 to April 2020 by analyzing peer-reviewed journals and articles from the past five years. Peer-reviewed articles were indexed by PubMed, GoogleScholar, DOAJ, and ScienceDirect. Only relevant studies published in English and Indonesian will be considered. There are 31 articles reporting the antioxidant activity of Ficus in vitro on DPPH, FRAP and ABTS methods. Based on a review of these articles, we conclude that ficus has the potential to be developed as an antioxidant cosmetic.

Abstract

Anak dara plant (Croton oblongus Burm. F) has been used by the people of Sinjai, South Sulawesi for generations as traditional cosmetics. Several studies have proven that this plant has antioxidant activity and sunscreen activity. Tyrosinase inhibitors are used in cosmetics to prevent hyperpigmentation. Inhibitory activity of the enzyme tyrosinease Anak dara tree bark (Croton oblongus Burm. F) has never been reported. This study aims to find out the inhibitory activity of tyrosinease enzyme of methanol extract Anak dara tree bark (Croton oblongus Burm. F). The extraction method used is maceration. Testing was carried out with L-tyrosine as a substrate, a methanol extract of Anak dara tree bark (Croton oblongus Burm. F) with concentrations of 20 ppm, 40 ppm, 60 ppm, 80 ppm, and 100 ppm, and Cojic acid as a positive control and then measured absorption using a micro plate reader at a wavelength of 490 nm. The results showed that the extract of methanol Anak dara tree bark (Croton oblongus Burm. F) has strong inhibitory activity of tyrosinase enzyme with an IC50 value of 76.80 μg/mL.

Abstract

One of medicinal plant empirically used for traditional is buni leaves (Antidesma bunius L. Spreng) This plant is potential to be developed as medicine for anti-inflammatory. A research on anti-inflammatory activity test of ethanol extract buni leaves (Antidesma bunius L. Spreng) to mice with Rat hind paw edema method.  The purpose of study was to investigate the anti-inflammatory activity of the ethanol extract buni leaves (Antidesma bunius L. Spreng) to mice induced with carrageen. The research has done by giving orally suspension of ethanol extract buni leaves (Antidesma bunius L. Spreng) in the dose 5 mg/kg BB, 50 mg/kg BB, and 500 mg/kg BB, Sodium CMC 1% w/v as control negatove and Sodium Diclofenac as control positive. Measurements were made every hour for six hours used plethysmometer. The result after statistically analyzed using Complete Randomized Design showed that dose of 5 mg/kg BB, 50 mg/kg BB and 500 mg/kg BB have anti- inflammatory activity. The result of Duncan’s Real Distance Different test (BNJD) dose 50 mg/kg BB showed that anti-inflammatory activity did not significantly different with Sodium Diclofenac ((α = 0,05).

Abstract

ABSTRAK            Pengobatan tradisional mayoritas menggunakan obat herbal untuk mendukung kesehatan , salah satu tumbuhan yang digunakan sebagai obat tradisional adalah kayu secang. Penelitian ini  bertujuan untuk mengisolasi senyawa aktif dari kayu secang (Caesalpinia sappan L) dan menentukan karakter senyawa aktif  kayu secang  berdasarkan data IR. Penelitian ini berdasarkan bioassay guided isolation  pada setiap tahap pengerjaan. Karakterisasi senyawa akitif berdasarkan  Kromatografi lapis tipis dengan berbagai penampak bercak dan data IR. Data karakteristik isolat aktif  menggunakan analisis kualitatif deskriptif . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fraksi dan isolat kayu secang memiliki aktivitas terhadap proliferasi sel osteoblas. Ekstrak kayu secang difraksinasi  dengan metode sepacore flash cromatography . Pada proses fraksinasi ini, eluen yang digunakan adalah n-heksan dan etil asetat. Hasil fraksinasi ekstrak etanol 70% berupa 6 fraksi gabungan yaitu fraksi 1-6.  Berdasarkan profil kromatogram fraksi 4 merupakan fraksi yang menghasilkan nilai proliferasi osteoblas tertinggi  dengan nilai viabilitas mencapai 200,00%. Disimpulkan bahwafraksi 4 dan isolat  memiliki senyawa yang dapat meningkatkan proliferasi sel osteoblas, Isolat tersebut menunjukkan adanya gugus OH, CH alifatik, C-C siklik  dan C=C aromatik berdasarkan data IR.

Abstract

Test  of  efficacy studies  have  been  conducted  leaf  extract  (Moringa oleifera  L)  to decrease blood cholesterol levels in mice (Mus musculus) males. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of moringa leaf extract on reducing cholesterol in mice. In this study using 15 male mice were divided into 5 groups. Before being given treatment, mice were first fasted for 8 hours and then measured cholesterol levels initially. After that induced propylthiouracil every day on each mouse to raise the cholesterol levels of mice for 14 days. Furthermore, given the different treatments in each group for 14 days and total cholesterol levels were measured on day 28th Group I was given NaCMC 1% w / v as a negative control and the obtained yield was 150 mg / dL, 183 mg / dL and 254 mg / dl, group II was given a suspension Simvastatin as a positive control and the results obtained 136 mg / dL, 155 mg / dL, and 164 mg / dL, a group III, IV, and V are given extracts of leaves (Moringa oleifera L) with three variations of the dose 50 mg / g, 100 mg / g, 200 mg / g and the results obtained successively by 127 mg / dL, 135 mg / dL, 152 mg / dL, 170 mg / dL, 176 mg / dL, 188 mg / dL, 156 mg / dL, 137 mg / dL, 175 mg / dL. The results showed that the leaf extract of Moringa can lower total cholesterol levels of mice at a dose of 200 mg / g, but not as effective as simvastatin.

Abstract

Majority of traditional medicine uses herbal medicine to support health. Besides being able to cure the disease, traditional medicine also has side effects low or even non-existent. One of the plants used as traditional medicine is cinnamon leaf (Sauropus androgynous). Leaves widely used as a laxative breast milk for breastfeeding mothers. In addition, cinnamon leaf can be used as a drug for ulcerative lesions. This study aims to investigate the antibacterial activity of the methanol extract of leaves of cinnamon fraction (Sauropus androgynous). Characterization of compound akitif based thin-layer chromatography penampak various spots, including FeCl3, Dragendorf, Lieberman Buchard, ethanolic KOH, and Aluminum Chloride. Crude katuk leaves macerated using methanol for 3 days. The results showed that the methanol extract of cinnamon leaf has activity against the bacteria Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus thyposa. Katuk leaf extract was fractionated by Vacuum Liquid Chromatography method. In this fractionation process, the eluent used was ethyl acetate and methanol (5:1). Results of fractionation of methanol extract in the form of a combined fraction of the number 6 keselurahan 14 fractions. Based on the TLC-profile Bioautografi fraction is the fraction of active 4 inhibits the growth of bacteria Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus thyposa. From the results of the identification of the chemical components showed that compounds that inhibit the growth of bacteria on the 4th fraction are flavonoids.

Abstract

Researched about The Total Tannin Assay Extract of Black Cumin Seeds (Nigella sativa) with Ultraviolet-Visible Spectrophotometry. This research aims to determine the levels of total tannin extract of black cumin seeds (Nigella sativa). The method used is multilevel macerationusing n-hexane and ethanol 70%. Extracts were identified using FeCl3reagent and gelatin solution showed positive resultscontaining tannin onthe ethanol70%extract.The extracts thatpositive containing tannins diluted, added Folin Deanis reagent and saturated sodium carbonate, then read at 740  nm wavelength. Forming reaction was the oxidation reduction where tannin as reductant and Folin Denis as an oxidant. The results of oxidation will form a blue color that can be read at maximum wavelength. Based on the regression y = 0.004 x + 0.097 and 0.996 for determination coefficient, was gained an average of tannin levels in the ethanol extract of black cumin seeds (Nigella sativa) is 4, 13 %.
