The majority experienced mild anxiety (40%) and had good quality of life (67%). The demographic characteristics of women (age, education, and marital status) significantly influenced anxiety and quality of life with a p-value <0.05. The Pseudo R Square values for anxiety were age 0.011, education 0.105, marital status 0.004, and for quality of life were age 0.007, education 0.028, marital status 0.004. Conclusion: Demographic characteristics, including age, education, and marital status, have an impact on anxiety and quality of life with a P Value < 0.05. Abstract

Introduction: Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) is a process of providing knowledge to people with diabetes about self-care strategies to optimize metabolic control, prevent complications, and improve the quality of life of people with diabetes. Web-based and application interventions would be very helpful in addressing the significant burden of diabetes mellitus and are tools to assist healthcare professionals in controlling diabetes mellitus issues. The purpose of this literature review is to identify the use of Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) methods based on web and applications for people with diabetes mellitus. Methods: The research design for this study were a literature review. Article searches were conducted using five journal databases, namely Pubmed, Proquest, Science Direct, Research Gate, and Google Scholar. The inclusion criteria used for data collection were full-text availability, journal publications from 2018 to 2023, in English and Indonesian. A total of 10 articles that met the inclusion criteria were reviewed. Results: The results of the literature review showed that the use of applications and web-based interventions from the nine journals reviewed can affect the quality of life, self-efficacy, self-management, knowledge, weight, and clinical conditions of patients such as HbA1c level and lipid profiles. Conclusion: The use of applications and the web are very effective as people with diabetes do not require a lot of money and time compared to direct control at health facilities. Applications can also be accessed at any time, thus helping to improve self-management in people with diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

Introduction: Trauma brain injury is an emergency condition that requires immediate precise first aid to reduce mortality rates and prevent secondary complications. Severe head injuries can lead to intracranial bleeding, thereby affecting hemodynamics. Monitoring the increase in intracranial pressure aims to mitigate the severity of head injury in patients, reducing deaths caused by brain edema. The significance of assessing the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) in relation to increased intracranial pressure is to determine conditions that could exacerbate physiological conditions due to head injury. The objective of this study is to determine changes in intracranial pressure among severe head injury patients. Methods: This research employs a descriptive study with a retrospective approach. Patient data were sourced from medical records of individuals treated at RS PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong, diagnosed with severe head injuries during the last year from January to December 2022. A total of 180 severe head injury patients' data were collected. Results: Research findings reveal that patients with head injuries experienced an increase in systolic blood pressure (33.3%), a decrease in pulse rate (30.5%), and a temperature within the normal range (78.9%). Conclusion: However, not all severe head injury patients exhibited elevated blood pressure, reduced pulse rate, or decreased oxygen saturation. All head injury patients experienced a decreased level of consciousness with a GCS score of less than 8.

Introduction: Work fatigue is a risk for all workers, including nurses, who are constantly working to help meet patient needs. The effects of work fatigue when providing nursing care to patients can have an impact on reducing the quality of work so that it can impact patient satisfaction in receiving services. The aims of the study are to determine the factors that cause work fatigue in nurses after the COVID-19 vaccination program. Method: This research used an observational design with a descriptive-analytical approach. The location of this research is hospitals in Jember with a population of nurses who work in hospital inpatient rooms using a simple random sampling technique. The total number of respondents obtained was 165 nurses. The research instrument used in data collection was the Job Fatigue Feelings Questionnaire, which had been modified from KAUPK2 and consisted of 17 question items. Statistical analysis in this research uses a constant comparative method. Results: Based on the demographic data of respondents as an item from the analysis of nurses' work fatigue, it was found that age, education, and working period influence the level of work fatigue (p=0.01; p=0.04; p=0.04) while gender, marriage, employment, and position didn’t influence the work fatigue of nurses (p=0.82; p=0.93; p=0.14; p=0.48). Conclusion: Work fatigue can affect the performance of nurses. The most influencing factors were age, education, and working period, while marital status, employment, nursing position in work, and gender did not influence the level of work fatigue of nurses.

Abstract

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a slowly progressive non-inflammatory disease of the diarthrodial (synovial) joints with increasing incidence age with initial symptoms of joint pain during activity. The pain will slowly get worse, resulting in obstacles to joint movement and affecting the patient's functional abilities. This study aims to identify the effectiveness of giving red ginger oil for pain, joint stiffness and functional abilities. This research will usetime series with research design of Quasi Experiments pre and post test design with the control group. The intervention by administering red ginger oil was carried out once in a day for 7 days. The sampling technique used non equivalent control group design. Evaluation was carried out on the first day, third day, fifth day and seventh day using the WOMAC score. The result of research shows the significance figure tested using the Pillai, Wilk's Lambda, Hotelling and Roy's procedures, shows the significance figure is below 0.05 (ie 0.000), it can be concluded that the total WOMAC score data at pre, day-3, day-5 and day-7 are different significant between the intervention group and the control group. The results of the study showed a decrease in womac scores in the intervention group, so it is hoped that red ginger oil can be used as an alternative therapy for elderly patients with OA.
