The average stress level among nurses in the control group was 21.06 which reduced to 19.88. There was no significant effect on the control group who practiced diaphragmatic breathing (p=0.061). In contrast with the intervention group who have a significant effect regarding stress reduction (p=0.000). The diaphragmatic breathing exercises by Nada Application had an effect on decreasing the stress levels among nurses compared to the respondents in the control group (p=0.000). Conclusion: Diaphragmatic breathing exercises can be recommended to nurses to help them cope with psychological stress and to provide relaxation responses. Abstract

Background: Breast milk is the primary source of nutrition babies need, where complementary foods have not been recommended for exclusive breastfeeding babies, around 44% worldwide. The low provision of Exclusive Breastfeeding is influenced by a decrease in breast milk production in the first few days after giving birth, so non-pharmacological efforts are needed to increase breast milk production in postpartum mothers, such as the SPEOS method (Stimulation of Endorphin Massage, Oxytocin, and Suggestive) combined with the administration of lavender and fennel essential oil aromatherapy. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of applying the SPEOS method with lavender and fennel essential oil aromatherapy on increasing breast milk production in postpartum mothers. Method: This research is a quasi-experiment (Quasi Experiment design) with a two-group pre-posttest design. The study was conducted from July to September 2023 with 30 postpartum mothers who met the inclusion criteria with a purposive sampling technique, analysis with a paired t-test, and an independent t-test. Results: There is no significant difference in breast milk production before intervention between the SPEOS group with lavender aromatherapy and the SPEOS group with fennel aromatherapy, with a p-value of 0.66. After intervention, there is no significant difference in breast milk production between the SPEOS group with lavender aromatherapy and the SPEOS group with fennel aromatherapy, with a p-value of 0.28. Conclusion: The SPEOS method with both aromatherapy with lavender aromatherapy and fennel aromatherapy can increase breast milk production.

Abstract

Introduction: Identification of factors that cause strokes greatly contributes to improving the prevention of stroke attacks. The study aimed to determine the risk factors that influence the incidence of stroke in the emergency room. Method: The research design used a cross-sectional, the sample was 91 stroke patients who underwent a complete examination. Samples were taken using consecutive sampling techniques starting from May-July 2023. Data collection was carried out by identifying the results of TTV, BB, ECG, laboratory examinations, and stroke symptoms, which ended with interviews with family members of stroke patients. Data analysis was carried out using bivariate analysis and logistic regression. Result: The research results showed, 38.5% were stroke bleeding and 60% were ischemic strokes. Factors that influence the incidence of stroke in the emergency room are gender (OR=9.524), hypertension (OR=0.346), blood glucose levels (OR=0.968), heart rate (OR=1.055), history of DM (OR=0.026), history of HT (OR=1.298), cholesterol history (OR=0026), and heart history (OR=92.147). Conclusion: Risk factors that influence the incidence of stroke in the ER include risk factors that cannot be changed, namely gender, and risk factors that can be changed include hypertension, blood glucose levels, heart rate (EKG), history of diabetes mellitus, history of cholesterol, and history of heart disease. A history of heart disease is the dominant risk factor that influences the incidence of stroke because this disease is related to blood vessels which can cause blockages, ruptures, and embolism of cerebral blood vessels which ultimately results in a stroke.

Abstract

Introduction: Chemotherapy is scientifically demonstrated as an effective modality for childhood cancers. However, despite its therapeutic effects, chemotherapy can induce unpleasant side effects. These adverse effects often cause readmissions and trigger stressful, frightening, and painful experiences. These dreadful conditions may cumulatively affect the quality of life. Family social support has been widely mentioned as a significant factor affecting childhood cancer survivors’ quality of life. That being said, an adequate level of knowledge is needed to achieve the ideal family support for the children. For a long time, the standard method applied for knowledge improvement was direct health education and counseling. However, electronic health education is now considered an excellent alternative to the standard method. This study examined the effect of the CERIA e-module application as an electronic health education media for childhood cancer survivors and their parents and the effectiveness of CERIA e-module in improving parents’ knowledge and family support practice for childhood cancer survivors. Methods: This study is a quasi-experimental study employing a total sampling technique. Thirty participants from Rumah Singgah Yayasan Peduli Kanker Anak Bali were recruited for this study. Results: Findings from this study showed that CERIA e-module is effective in improving parents’ knowledge (p=0.000; p<0.05) and enhancing skills in delivering adequate care and support for children with cancer (p=0.001; p<0.05). Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, the authors suggest that nurses organize novel and creative education media for families with childhood cancer survivors to deliver the health messages more attractively.
