Abstract

Combination of chemotherapy and radiation is one of the options to managing cancer that expected to achieve the goal of therapy more optimally. This study aimed to describe the characteristic of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation in Sanjiwani Chemotherapy Room of Central General Sanglah Hospital, Denpasar. This was a retrospective study with purposive sampling method which determined 53 patients as sample. Conclusion of this study shows the majority of the respondents were in early elderly age (46-55 years old) were 18 people (34%), female were 40 people (75,5%). Breast cancer was the common type of cancer in female (28 people), whereas nasopharynx cancer was the common type of cancer in male patients (11 people). Average of the respondents had undergone 5 chemotherapy series and 28 radiation series. Majority of the respondents had undergone ?5 chemotherapy series and ?34 radiation series. The majority of breast, nasopharynx, cervical, and lung cancer patients consecutively had undergone chemotherapy for 4 series, 4-5 series, 4-5 series, and 5-6 series. The majority of breast, nasopharynx, cervical, and lung cancer patients consecutively had undergone radiation for 28 series, 32nd, 35th, and 37th series, 28 series, and 29th and 36th radiation series. Future researchers can conduct study related to factors that influence chemotherapy and radiation frequencies in cancer patients

Abstract

The developmental task that must be achieved as a result of changes in adolescents is the search for identity. This search for self-identity will affect various aspects of adolescents, one of which is self-disclosure. In the age of technology, teenagers use social media more as a means to reveal information about themselves. Self-disclosure in the use of social media is influenced by various factors, one of which is self-esteem. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-esteem and self-disclosure in the use of social media in adolescents at SMP Negeri 2 Tabanan. This study used descriptive - correlative with a cross sectional approach. In this study, the sample was taken using cluster random sampling technique. The sample size used was 348 students. The conclusion of the analysis using the Spearman Rank test shows that there was no significant relationship between self-esteem and self-disclosure in the use of social media in adolescents with p value = 0.180 (? = 0.05). Suggestions from researchers to students to be more careful and wise in using social media and not to fake identities or provide information that is not in accordance with reality

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on several sectors, one of which is the education that is in learning methods that are switched to online. The sudden change of method can certainly cause stress to some students. The stress experienced can be reduced when individuals get social support from family, friends, and significant others as needed. Social support is a form of help, attention and support that really needed by individuals when experiencing a problem. This research aims to know the relationship between social support and stress during online learning in student faculty of medicine Udayana University. This research used a descriptive correlative design with a cross sectional approach. The research sample was obtained by using probability sampling with a proportionate stratified random sampling technique with a large sample was 341 students. Spearmen Rank results of the test were obtained by the value of the Sig p 0.000 < 0.05 and the value of the r -364, which means there was a significant relationship between social support and stress during online learning in student faculty of medicine Udayana University with a negative direction and weak relationship strength. Students can be able more caring, supportive, motivating, helping each other and also need an active role from academic supervisors to always accompany and assist students in every process that will be passed together.

Abstract

Presentation of elderly group is increasing with all problems that follow. One of the psychological problems that is likely experienced by the elderly is stress. Stress management can be done with non-pharmacological and pharmacological therapies. One of non pharmacological therapies that can affect stress is green color therapy. The green color can make people feel comfortable, relax, reduce stress, balance and calm down the emotions, and stimulate the pituitary to release neurohormones, which can reduce stress. This study aims to determine the therapeutic effect of green color on stress of the elderly in the Elderly Social Institution of Wana Seraya Denpasar. This research is a quasy-experimental study (pre-test and post-test with control group design). Samples consist of 30 elderly people that were selected by purposive sampling, and divided into two ie; control and experimental groups. The experimental group was given green color therapy for 10 minutes every day for seven days. Stress measurement was carried out by using Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS) questionnaire of which the validity and reliability have been tested. The results obtained, the average decrease in stress score of 1.20 in the control group, and in the experimental group gained an average decrease in stress score of 11.80. Based on the independent sample t-test, this difference was statistically significant, with t value of -17.528 and the Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000, which means there is a therapeutic effect of green color therapy to stress in the elderly in the Elderly Social Institution Wana Seraya Denpasar.

Abstract

Sex education diberikan untuk menghindarkan remaja dari resiko negatif perilaku seksual. Namun banyak orang tua yang menganggap sex education adalah hal yang tabu, sehingga orang tua tidak mengajarkan mengenai sex education kepada remaja autisme. Pada dasarnya remaja dengan autisme juga mengalami perkembangan seksual namun karena akibat dari keterbatasan kognitifnya, remaja autisme sering mengalami masalah pada saat menginjak masa remaja seperti menunjukkan perilaku seksual yang tidak pantas. Peran orang tua sangat menentukan remaja dalam mempersiapkan menghadapi perubahan yang akan terjadi pada dirinya sehingga persepsi positif dari orang tua sangat dibutuhkan agar remaja autisme memiliki sikap yang positif terhadap seks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran persepsi orang tua terhadap pentingnya sex education pada remaja autisme fase pubertas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu orang tua yang memiliki remaja autisme berusia 11-14 tahun yang bersekolah di SLB Negeri 1 dan SLB Negeri 3 Denpasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik total sampling sehingga mendapatkan sampel sebanyak 44 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan orang tua dengan persepsi negatif sebanyak 25 orang (56,8%) dan yang memiliki persepsi positif yaitu sebanyak 19 orang (43,2%). Disimpulkan bahwa mayoritas orang tua memiliki persepsi yang negatif mengenai pentingnya sex education, sehingga perlunya tambahan informasi kepada orang tua mengenai sex education.

Abstract

Stunting is one of global health problem which is not yet could be prevented especially in Indonesia where the stunting prevalention considered higher than other developing countries. Stunting on infants will bring negative impact if not countermeasured immediately. Fundamentally, life sustainability and health condition of an infant depend on the health condition of the mother. Mother's knowledge and attitude influence on how she takes care of her infants. This study aimed to find the relation of knowledge and attitude toward stunting with the occurance of stunting at Tiga Village, Susut, Bangli. This study used the descriptive correlational with cross sectional approach method. Samples were taken from Tiga Village, Susut, Bangli using simple random sampling method with the result that 107 samples. Based on the results of this study there were 77 infants (72%) who suffered from stunting. Mostly, the mothers were categorized as poor knowledge which was consisted of 67 mothers (62,2%). However, the attitudes were categorized as good which consisted of 78 mothers (72,9%). The further analysis found that there were weak relation and negative pattern between mother's knowledge and attitude toward stunting with stunting occurences. The significance value (p) of knowledge was 0.038 and of attitude was 0.011. Its expected the local health authorities (puskesmas) could increase their role in assessing and planning the health programs, especially to stunting prevention.

Abstract

Berlibur bersama anak khususnya usia toddler memiliki tantangan dan masalah yang berbeda. Toddler secara penuh bergantung pada orang tua mereka akan keselamatan fisik. Orang tua memiliki peranan penting dalam mencegah berbagai masalah yang dapat terjadi pada anak saat melakukan kunjungan wisata. Salah satunya yaitu dengan melakukan persiapan sebelum keberangkatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran persiapan orang tua membawa anak usia toddler ketika melakukan kunjungan wisata ke Bali. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel pada penelitian diambil di Kawasan Kuta Selatan, Kabupaten Badung dengan menggunakan teknik consecutive sampling sehingga diperoleh sampel sebanyak 100 wisatawan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa mayoritas wisatawan mancanegara dan domestik yang berkunjung di Kawasan Kuta Selatan, Kabupaten Badung adalah berusia 34,5 tahun, berpendidikan sarjana (62%), berstatus bekerja (76%), berasal dari mancanegara (55%), frekuensi kunjungan >1 kali (57%), tidak pernah mendapatkan pre-travel advice (76%), membawa anak usia 24 bulan, anak berjenis kelamin perempuan (52%) dan terdapat proporsi yang sama antara lama kunjungan wisatawan yaitu <10 hari dan ?10 hari (50%). Sebagian orang tua yang membawa anak usia toddler berkunjung ke Bali berada pada kategori persiapan yang buruk (50%), sedangkan sebagian orang tua yang lainnya (50%) sudah berada pada kategori persiapan yang baik. Diharapkan kepada orang tua agar mau meningkatkan pengetahuannya mengenai persiapan yang harus dilakukannya ketika membawa anak usia toddler berkunjung ke Bali.

Abstract

One form of learning in the PSSKPN is the laboratorium practice. When the Student facing laboratory practice exams, they would experience various conditions such as, anxiety, fear, panic, and imagining how the exam would be causes anxiety to students. Self-efficacy is an effort to prevent anxiety. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-efficacy with anxiety in nursing students when facing laboratory practice exams. This research was a correlative descriptive study with data collection methods that used a retrospective approach. The sample consisted of 61 respondents obtained by the total sampling technique. The research instrument on self-efficacy used General of self-efficacy (GSE) and instruments on anxiety used Zung self-rating anxiety scale (ZSAS). Data analysis was used Spearman rank correlation test. The results of this study showed that there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and anxiety. The correlation was negative relations and moderate strength (p <0.05; rs = - 0.0443) which means that the higher the self-efficacy the lower anxiety is felt. The researcher suggested that there should increase in self-efficacy in nursing students to reduce anxiety when facing laboratory practice exams. Abstract

Menstruasi merupakan bagian dari proses pertumbuhan dan perkembangan fisik yang dialami remaja putri. Dismenore menjadi salah satu keluhan yang paling sering dialami saat masa menstruasi. Keparahan nyeri yang dirasakan dapat mengganggu aktivitas. Berbagai faktor dapat mempengaruhi dismenore, salah satunya status gizi yang berperan dalam mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan fungsi organ reproduksi. Status gizi dapat diukur melalui indeks masa tubuh (IMT). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara IMT dengan nyeri dismenore pada mahasiswi PSSKPN FK Unud angkatan 2017. Alat ukur yang digunakan peneliti, yaitu timbangan, microtouise staturemeter, dan lembar observasi skala nyeri menggunakanl Numerical Rating Scale (NRS). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 49 orang yang dipilih menggunakan consecutive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil uji statisitik didapatkan hasil terdapat hubungan IMT dengan nyeri dismenore pada mahasiswi dianalisis menggunakan Spearman Rank didapatkan hubungan yang signifikan lemah dan berpola positif antara IMT dengan nyeri dismenore (p = 0,005; ? = 0.05; rs =0,396). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi IMT maka semakin berat nyeri dismenore yang dirasakan mahasiswi. Diharapkan mahasiswi keperawatan lebih meningkatkan kesadaran dalam hal menjaga status gizi tubuh sehingga dapat mencegah terjadinya dismenore. Kata kunci: IMT, Mahasiswi Keperawatan, Nyeri Dismenore

Abstract

Full day school is one of the school systems that can increase academic burden so that it can trigger academic stress. Academic stress can cause depression if not handled properly. This study aimed to determine the relationship of academic stress with depression in Mathematics and Natural Sciences students at SMAN 4 Denpasar. Correlative descriptive is a design that is used with cross sectional approach. The study sample consisted of 230 people was selected using stratified random sampling technique. The questionnaire used was Educational Stress Scale for Adolescent (ESSA) and Beck Depression Inventory (BDI). Spearman test was used for data analysis and there was a significant moderate relationship with the direction of a positive found in this study (p value = 0.0001, r = 0.433). This shows the more severe academic stress, the more severe depression experienced by students. The school is expected to make research as a guideline to determine learning activities that are more effective, varied, and fun so that it can reduce academic stress and student depression.
