Terbitnya jurnal pendidikan ini menjadikan suatu indikator bahwa prodi Tadris IPA Fisika sangat peduli terhadap perkembangan dan inovasi-inovasi pada bidang sains terutama pendidikan Fisika. Selain itu adanya Jurnal Natural Science menunjukkan bahwa para dosen Tadris IPA Fisika sudah membudayakan meneliti dan mempublikasikan hasil penelitian. Jurnal studi pendidikan fisika juga mengajak pihak lain berpartisipasi dalam penerbitan jurnal baik universitas local maupun tingkat nasional dan bahkan internasional. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to look at the effectiveness of problem solving based e-modules on students' critical thinking skills. The pre-experimental research method used the one shot case study design. The instruments used are tests that are used to see students' critical thinking skills. The research sample was students of class X MIPA 4 SMA N 2 Lubuk Basung. The results showed the e-module was very effective at developing students' critical thinking skills. The acquisition of critical thinking ability scores on IDEALS aspects as follows: I (Identify) 83.33% the category is very effective; D (Define) 86.66% very effective category; E (Enumerate) 85.55% in the highly effective category; A (Analyze) 83.33% very effective category; L (List) 83.33% very effective category; and S (Selt-Correct) 81.81% in the highly effective category. This shows that e-module based on problem solving can be used to develop critical thinking skills of high school class X students on straight motion and parabolic motion material.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of obtaining a description of the quality of the minithesis guidance process that took place during the covid-pandemic period in Biology Education Department IAIN Kerinci and student satisfaction in carrying out the guidance process during the pandemic. The research method used is a descriptive method with a questionnaire instrument quality process guidance minithesis and written interviews online. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results obtained by the quality of the minithesis guidance process of students during the pandemic are in the good category with an average of 66.4. Media that are widely used during the minithesis guidance process are whatsApp and email. As many as 60% of the sample of students were satisfied with the guidance process they went through during the pandemic. The minithesis guidance process experiences many obstacles, one of which is in terms of guidance time and ineffective communication between the supervisor and students. The solutions provided by students include continuing to carry out offline counseling by paying attention to health protocols.

Abstract

The fast flow of secularization in the world of education is often an important issue to be aware of in the world of education. The negative side of technological development is related to the degeneration of human morals. The development of science and technology is considered not linear with moral improvement. There is a moral and spiritual crisis in it. This is due to the fact that science tends to see things only from worldly perspectives. Islamization in physics learning is needed to overcome the negative side of the development of science. With Islamization in learning, it is hoped that a process of thinking will be created regarding the relationship between moral and divine science to science. This thinking process is a form of philosophy in education. Philosophy helps everyone understand the moral and normative side of an event that can be related to the teaching material to be explored. With the process of thinking, contemplating, connecting, and drawing correct conclusions about a physical theory, it is hoped that it can help students understand concepts more easily and are easier to remember

Abstract

A cigarette smoke monitoring system in school toilets has been designed using  MQ-7 sensor and  transceiver nRF24L01+ with ISD 1820 module based sound output. This hardware system consists of two units that is a transmitter and  receiver. The transmitter unit consists of a MQ-7 sensor, a transceiver circuit nRF24L01+, Arduino Uno R3. The receiver unit consists of transceiver circuit nRF24L01+, LCD, Arduino Uno R3, ISD 1820 module. The MQ-7 sensor functions to detect carbon monoxide gas in cigarette smoke.  MQ-7 sensor characterization obtained transfer function y = 0.0635x + 0.3808 with a regression value of R2 = 0.9808. The error value obtained from the comparison of gas read by the MQ-7 sensor with a biogas analyzer is 5.35%. The transceiver nRF24L01+ test obtained that the maximum distance of data transmission is 502 m without barrier and 68 m with wall barrier. The overall design of the device can function properly, the MQ-7 sensor can detect carbon monoxide gas as far as 110 cm and when the concentration is more than 1 ppm the speaker on the ISD 1820 module will be activated as a warning alarm.

Abstract

The development of science and technology has had a major influence in all aspects of life, including in the world of education. One way of using technology in learning is the use of technological resources in the learning process such as technology-based interactive modules.The use of modules in learning aims so that students can learn independently without or with guidance from educators, so that students will learn better if they do it alone which focuses directly on mastering learning objectives. The aim of this research is to produceInteractive module based on Trait Treatment Interaction (TTI) using Adobe Flash on collaboration  skills with students on the material of the kinetic theory of gases and the laws of thermodynamics class XI SMA / MA valid, practical and effective. This research is a research and development (R&D). Development design is using a development model ADDIE consists of: the Analysis stage (analyzing), the Design stage (designing), the Development stage (developing), the Implementation stage (implementing) and the Evaluation stage (evaluating). The instruments used in this study were a validity questionnaire, a practicality questionnaire, and an effectiveness test. The product validity test is given by expert validators in the aspects of material / content, media / construction, and language. The practicality test is given  to educators and students, while the effectiveness test is given to students. The results of the research were produced Interactive module based on Trait Treatment Interaction (TTI) using Adobe Flash for students on the material of the kinetic theory of gases and the laws of thermodynamics which is very valid, very practical and very effective against collaboration skills of students.

Abstract

Research has been conducted on the development of the e-diagnostic four-tier test to identify misconceptions of students from SMAN 9 Sijunjung. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. The research was conducted at SMAN 9 Sijunjung in class XI MIPA 2. The validity test of the E-Diagnostic Four Tier physics test was given to 5 expert validators assessed from the aspect of material, construction, misconception and language, practicality test was given to 1 physics educator and 20 people students and effectiveness tests were tested on 20 students. The results of the validity test analysis by the expert validator showed that the E-diagnostic test in the form of Four-tier test developed was very valid with an average of 82.4%, the results of the practicality analysis by educators and students were very practical with an average of 81.65%, while the results of the effectiveness analysis for the product obtained a question validity of 70% with a valid category. reliability of the question 0.88 with a reliable category, the level of difficulty and different power of a good question each item, while the analysis of misconceptions obtained a percentage of 63% in the material of thermodynamics and 55.5% in the material of optical devices. This shows that the E-Diagnostic Four Tier Test physics test is categorized as very valid and very practical to use in learning physics

Abstract

Research to measure the level of competency attainment of students tadris IPA Physics class A 2019 on the material of measurement, submaterial measurement’s defenition, measurement’s type and measurement’s important term in the electrical measuring instruments. This research has used a qualitative approach with descriptive research and case studies. Data collection techniques through self-application by students towards their level of competency using google serial forms. The results showed that the activeness of students in following learning is quite high. The level of readiness of students following the learning is quite good. In addition, based on the results of research can be seen that there is an improvement in material mastery competency after learning. This can be seen from the improvement of each component of competency before learning and after learning. In addition, the level of confidence in the correctness of the answers given in the pretest and posttest also increased. In addition, the research findings that students are still weak in learning competencies distinguish the level of precision and accuracy in measurement so that the material enrichment is required.

Abstract

The purposes of this research to know the differences of motivastion and comprehension of physics concepts with the implementation of ARIAS learning models aided video, which is better than conventional learning models in class VIII in MTsN Durian Tarung. This research uses quasi experiment with randomized control group only design. The population of this  research is the student of class VIII at MTsN Durian Tarung2016/2017which consist of eight class. The sample of the reseacrh use cluster random sampling technique, VIII8 as experiment group and VIII6 as control group. The instrumen of this research is quationer motivation and tes of physic concept of learners in the form of essay. The result showed that the average of experimental class motivation was 115,61 and control class was 95,39. Meanwhile, the average result of understanding physics concepts of experimental class students 80.03 and control class 75,11.Data analyzed uses t-test independent with SPSS 16.0. version. The research has shown the application of ARIAS learning models aides video provides better motivation with t-test, t hitung >t table = 6.412> 1.667and physics conceptswith t-test t hitung >t table = 2.538> 1.667than conventional learning models in class VIII MTsN Durian Tarung.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of student ability through independent tasks and experiment methods in the Science Tadris Study Program of Physics, UIN Imam Bonjol "with the concepts of temperature and the first law of thermodynamics and heat capacity. The results showed that the value of the independent assignment on the temperature concept material with an average pre-test score of 39.03 and an average post-test score of 60.32. From the results of the prestest and posttest, the percentage increase in value was 55.45%. In the first law material of thermodynamics and heat capacity, the learning process in the first law material of thermodynamics is an independent task coupled with experiments. The results obtained are the value of independent assignments on the subject of law I thermodynamics and heat capacity with an average pre-test value of 55.15 and an average posttest score of 77.39. From the results of the prestest and posttest, the percentage increase in value was 41.45%. Furthermore, the experimental value with the material of the first law of thermodynamics obtained an average experimental value at the pretest of 53.04 and the average result of the posttest was 74.04. The percentage increase between the pretest and poststest values was 40.79%. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the posttest average was higher than the average prestest so it could be concluded that through the independent assignment method and experimentation it could improve students' abilities on the concept of temperature, first law of thermodynamics and heat capacity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the effectiveness of the development of high school physics student worksheets (LKPD) based on generative learning models. This development research uses a 4-D model. To see the effectiveness of the product, a develop step is carried out. The research sample was students of class X SMAN 1 Bayang Utara, Pesisir Selatan Regency. The results showed that LKPD was very effective in increasing the competence of attitudes, skills, and knowledge of students, with an average rating as follows: 76.47% effective category; Skills 80.48% very effective category; Knowledge of 81.58% category is very effective. This shows that the High School Physics Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on the Generative Learning Model can be used to improve the competence of Attitudes, Skills, and Knowledge of class X SMA students on dynamic electricity material.
