Abstract

This research is motivated by the challenges of developing the Indonesian nation in the 21st century, namely preparing a young generation who is flexible, creative, and proactive. The young age needs to be formed so that they are skilled in problem-solving, wise in making decisions, thinking creatively, consulting, creating ideas effectively, and wor So that 21st-century skills or 4Cs need to be developed in learning, including PAI learning. This study aims to identify PAI learning to develop 4Cs at SMAN 27 Bandung and the effectiveness of PAI learning to develop 4Cs at SMAN. PAI learning is not limited to normative education obtained by memorizing. PAI is required to interpret and answer various current and future problems. PAI is needed to develop students' skills which include four skills, namely critical thinking skills, creative thinking skills, communication skills, and collaboration skills, especially in solving contemporary problems using the Islamic perspective. Thus PAI learning also has a great responsibility in developing 4Cs. The approach used in this research is qualitative with the descriptive-analytical method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The subjects of this study were teachers, students, school principals, and vice-principals in the field of curriculum. In general, PAI learning to develop 4Cs skills has been well implemented to achieve indicators of 4Cs skills. The PAI learning process to establish 4Cs at SMAN 27 Bandung City took place quite effectively, marked by the majority of students being enthusiastic in learning, which was marked by their seriousness in participating in learning, giving opinions during discussions responding to the views of their friends. Abstract

The problem of low absorption of vocational graduates is allegedly due to a gap between the competencies possessed by students and the needs in the world of work. The participation of the industrial world and the world of work in the learning process in SMK is still low. The general objective of this study is to identify and analyze the implementation of the teaching factory in improving the competence of vocational students. The specific objectives of this study are to determine: (1) planning of the teaching factory; (2) teaching factory organization; (3) implementation of teaching factory; (4) evaluation of teaching factory implementation; (5) partnership in teaching factory implementation; (6) problems and solutions in the implementation of the teaching factory; (7) the results obtained from the implementation of the teaching factory. The theoretical basis uses the management theory of G.R. Terry, and the policy foundation is Presidential Instruction No. 6 of 2016 concerning Vocational Revitalization, where the teaching factory is one of the strategies for implementing Vocational Revitalization. The study used a qualitative approach with descriptive data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Testing the validity of the data is done through triangulation of sources and triangulation of methods. The results of the study stated that: 1) the planning of the teaching factory in the fields of curriculum, infrastructure and financing had been carried out well, but in the field of human resources it was necessary to plan for teacher competency improvement; 2) the organization of the teaching factory has been carried out well, but it is necessary to make a SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for activities; 3) The implementation of the teaching factory has been running well, supported by Jobsheet devices, but verification and validation activities are needed for the Jobsheets used; 4) The teaching factory evaluation activities have been going very well; 5) Partnerships in teaching factories have been going well for Lemon Juice, Herbs way and Yoghurt products, but it is necessary to increase the number of industrial partners for other types of products; 6) Solutions to the problem of improving teacher competence are handled through internal internships in teaching factory activities and becoming supervisors for Industrial Work Practices; 7) The results obtained from the teaching factory implementation activities can increase the competence of hard skills and 78.26% of students' soft skills.

Abstract

Implementing education in madrasas requires financial management because it has powerful potential and is inseparable from education management. Grand Theory research uses the theory of George R. Terry, into some of the essential functions of management, into Planning (Planning), Organizing (Organizing), Actuating (Implementation), and Controlling (Supervision). The results showed that the management of education financing to improve the quality of learning in Madrasah Aliyah was still not optimal. It is proven that the quality of learning has met the standard of the learning process and seen from the teaching staff's readiness to prepare the learning process by the format of the national education quality standard. However, let's look closely at the occurrence of learning interactions between educators and students. Some educators need to increase their ability to stimulate stimulus responses from students in encouraging motivation, interest, and serious attention in developing and mastering learning materials.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify whether there is a significant difference in the market reaction shown by the abnormal return and trading volume activity before and after the vaccine manufacturing announcement conducted by listed pharmaceutical companies around the world. The sample used in this research is listed pharmaceutical companies that conducted a vaccine manufacturing announcement during a pandemic, and the data collected is secondary data. This research uses the event study as its methodology with 3 event windows, which are one month before and after the announcement, ten days before and after the announcement, and five days before and after the announcement. The analysis of the normality test and paired difference test is conducted using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with a significance level of 0.05. The result shows that there is no significant difference in both abnormal return and trading volume activity of the listed pharmaceutical companies before and after the vaccine manufacturing announcement. From this research, it can be concluded that the vaccine manufacturing announcement during a pandemic does not have a significant effect on the market reaction. To extend and further test the market reaction of pharmaceutical companies, future research could be done by exploring more on the effect of health-related news on all pharmaceutical companies, and the variables tested could be expanded

Abstract

This study is motivated by the phenomenon of investors' concern when they saw earnings from companies prepared by accounting managers who have self-interest tendencies. As a result, investors may be misled in companies' assessments. Based on this phenomenon, this study helps investors to get the relevant value of earnings by eliminating three items in the income statement so it becomes a value known as street earnings. Street earnings are values that are generally generated by securities analysts. This value is the result of recalculation of accounting earnings excluding non-recurring items, wherein in this study, the items are amortization, research and development expenses, and unusual/exceptional items. This research focuses on the relevance of these three values especially unusual/exceptional items as a novelty. This relevance is calculated by looking at the strength of relations between three variables partially to year-end stock prices based on the value of R square. Secondary data used from manufacturing companies in Indonesia was obtained by the OSIRIS database from the 2015 - 2020 period. As a result, none of the three variables has strong relations with stock prices, which means three variables are irrelevant and should exclude in the calculation of street earnings to make street earnings relevant. The limitation of this study is research and development expense does not refer to companies specific activities, so irrelevant results does not mean research activities are useless. From these limitations, further research is comparisons of the relevance between the disclosure of research and development activities and research and development expense
